Pros: The layout is nice and some of the employees are nice. They have refreshments and the atmosphere is pretty pleasant. Depending on the nail tech the work is really good.Cons: Some employees were rude and yelling and screaming in the shop. Though they have refreshments I wasn’t offered it both times I was there. And I spent ($185) my first visit. The acrylic set I got on my feet both times were nice and neat but over priced. The first time I paid $60 for acrylic on toes, $45 pedicure (I had to remind her to do my cuticles) $10 for eyebrows and $70 for full set. The full set was trash, they were too thick and the shape was uneven. It was rushed because the nail tech was busy arguing with customers while doing my nails and didn’t fight about it because I was there for 4 hours and had to leave.I came back for a fill in on my toes and was charged $55 which makes no sense because the full set is $60 and way more work. I want to love this place especially because of the inviting space but the chemistry there is off and they are OVERPRICED for okay work and poor hospitality. I’ll just make the drive to artistic nails in Springfield next time.

Less than 24 hours after my first visit to this salon where I sought a regular manicure ( $15) using a gel product, every nail was damaged. I only washed my hands. I returned to the shop the next day and I was told that my experience was something that could happen with a regular manicure. I said that I had never been to this salon and I had never had a regular manicure where the traditional nail polish, like an OPI product, was not used for a basic manicure. I understand chips and not lasting long, but I have never had a polish deteriorate so rapidly. The only solution was for me to pay $7 for a bail change and only for the manicure with the same “regular manicure “ gel polish.

I have actually been visiting The Village Nail Bar for 4 years, and in the last year I have become increasingly disappointed and displeased with their service, but Im not one to immediately cancel a place- so I kept returning. However, today was my last straw. I arrived on time for my appointment (before my tech), just to be rushed. He later told me that he double booked my appointment (an appointment made a month in advance..which explains the rushing). So I kindly asked if I could be serviced by someone else, as to 1) not be rushed and 2) allow him to get to his 10am client who obviously is more important than me. The tech who did my pedicure was great and patient, perhaps because she sensed my frustration. I was then directed to a third tech to paint my toenails and do my sns manicure. She rushed to paint my toes and she rushed to do my nails- further, she informed me while doing my nails that Village Nail Bars prices have gone up (during my service) not before. Im less concerned about the price, and more disappointed by the quality of service and care. I have more to say, but frankly this is even more than I intended to write. There are far too many salons in the area to be rushed and to receive mediocre service when spending 100+. Peace.

This place was a waste of time and money. I went for a basic pedicure. Nothing special. It was hard to see exactly how well the technician was doing because they kept the lighting very dem. When I walked outside, you could see so many imperfections in the polish. It wasnt smooth and there were parts of my nails that didnt have polish on them. Because of a previously scheduled obligation, I didnt have time to go back in to have them redo my nails. I do not recommend and I wont be back.

Hello I took my niece there the service was great and her nails 💅 turned out beautiful 😍 💕 years ago that was the only place I would get my nails done because I was always in that area now I think once the pandemic is over Ill start going again 🙂

We scheduled a 10:00am appointment for three this morning to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday and redeem our gift certificates. One of the three technicians, which happened to be the one for my grandmother, arrived 40 minutes late. When we asked for the expected arrival time of the third technician we were told to just wait 10 more minutes. The technician assigned to me didn’t respond to any of my request and had to wait for the other technician to translate for her. Also, I had to inform her of the services that were included in the type of pedicure that I selected as she did not seem knowledgeable of what it entailed. We were rushed out of the room and told our nails were dry and that we could leave. My grandmother nails were not dry and they were ruined when she went to the restroom. Due to her disappointment with with the service she didn’t make an attempt to get the nails fixed. Unfortunately despite management being aware of our experience no efforts were made to compensate for their shortcomings and our inconvenience. For the cost of service, the quality, customer service, and skill needs to improve and remain consistent. My previous experiences were nothing like this one.

Terrible service my wife has been in there for 3 hours!!!!! She had four different people do her nails and every single one of them got up to go and do someone else’s nails. It’s RIDICULOUS! If you have a customer finish the one who your with then move to the next! it’s that simple.

I started off loving this salon, even referred a few friends here. However, my last few pedicures have been extremely disappointing. They always seemed rushed. Back in September another pedicurist (Anne or Anna) offered to fix my toes because she saw how upset I was. This time was the straw on the camels back. I walked out of there looking like something my niece could’ve done.

These are gel nails! I got my nails done on Friday and they started peeling mid-day Saturday! And in this picture it’s Monday 9/7/21!Doesn’t add up to me…

The ambiance is ok.. but too dark. I dont understand how they can perform detailed work in such dim conditions. The decor is wonderfully designed. The staff are very cordial but unskilled. For the services that they provide I would expect the quality to be much better. I think that are skilled technicians here but its hit or miss obtaining a good one. I wouldnt not recommend but I would tell you to be seriously selective. Ill update if improvements are made.

I called and made an appointment as it was my first time and I was assigned to Woody. He was great and explained everything and took the time to listen. This shop is more than I expected, they were professional, it was a relaxing environment and he did a great job. The offering of beverages was a great touch. I also liked the ability to Social distance and the lengths they went to to ensure everyone stayed safe. I observed them disinfecting constantly and only a certain amount of people were allowed in at a time. I will be back. Thanks Woody

First time here for my birthday nails, last minute available for someone to watch my baby and I drive 8 minutes. Tina was very professional and whats unique at this location its the water fountain, makes the experience relaxing.

I went to get a gel manicure October 1st, with my REAL nails. The lady starts off by soaking off my old gel polish in a bowl full of acetone ( she may have thought I had acrylic but I didnt). My nails feel weird after but I dont pay much mind. Then she proceeds to scrape / file the rest of the old gel polish off ( If it was in acetone for like 5 mins it should of came right off). Then proceeds to file the nails and continue the manicure. 10 days later THREE of my nails have split in half, she made my nails so weak and I had to cut them all down. Ive been growing them out this whole time for them to get destroyed. My nails were literally bendable and I didnt even want the headache of coming back to ask for assistance.

Overpriced for the quality of service.I got a manicure and pedicure.The pedicure was done really well but the manicure was rushed. They always rush my manicure and I never know why.I dont use gel polish.I dont wear acrylic nails.I bring my own polish.Still my nails are never right.Both of my thumbs have air bubbles in them. My left thumb smudged when I was moving from Nancys station to the back to finish drying my nails.The smudged thumb, she covered it with more polish and said to let it dry a little bit more so excluding the top and base coat shes hoping that three layers of polish is going to dry evenly.I dont use their beverages or snacks. I did have a piece of candy while I was waiting for a tech.Ladies and gents this cost me $65. And I tipped before my nails was done (because I always do). If you are reading this and youre willing to pay that much please go elsewhere. Dont come here unless youve been here before or know who you like to work on your nails.As far as I can tell I only ever get a good pedicure and even that Im not sure about since they work with such low lighting. Its great for the atmosphere but it has to be awful on their eyes.And if you do bring your own polish just be prepared to have to pry it open the next time you want to use it. Mine has the polish running down the sides after she was done. And I brought a new bottle to use. I wont be returning here, I wont be recommending it.

I have been getting my nails here for about 2 years. They are always pilite and for style ans professionalism they never slack! Ken is my usual tech (he is a perfectionist!) When he is unavailable, christine takes care of me and she always keeps me up on whats trending...she designed me with chrome today...which i had never heard of, but i love the way they look!!!

My Husband and I went here for a Mani/Pedi. They did an awesome job on his feet. Mine not so much. The lady removing the dead skin from the side of my big toe nail almost 😩 took me out. I told her then to stop because I felt pain. She proceeded to finish which was beautiful 😍. Two days later my toe was in Excruciating pain. My toe became infected by an overgrown nail💅 . I had to soak it for days on end and apply neosporn to heal it. Its been two weeks now and it finally healed. This was the 1st time I experienced anything like this. Great work not so much Care.

I will definitely not be back!Very pricey for Gel-full set... $55!! And the guy did an average job. I kept having to tell him my nails weren’t even and crooked. I had to walk him through the process just make it look decent. On top of that he cut me twice, on the tips of my fingers, how does that happen?! I would have stuck around for someone to fix my nails but i was already there for 2 hrs.

Great atmosphere and service! Do not judge a book by its cover. The insides is very elegant. The pedicures are done in private rooms with about 3 seats per room. The timing was great since I was with my friend. We finished within minutes of each other even though we got different pedicures.

My appointment was at 11:15. I arrived early. After 30 minutes, I inquired about the wait because my appointment was scheduled but they were still running behind. I was told to wait 20 additional minutes before I could even be seated. Once seated, there was still a wait. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I went to the Village Nail Bar for an SNS manicure with tips and had a terrible experience. The man who did my manicure did a horrible job. It was sloppy and painful and looked awful. I was so upset because I kept asking him to clean it up and make it look better and he didn’t seem to care. He barely spoke to me and seemed to ignore all of my requests. I didn’t know what to do (and didn’t want to make a scene) so I just paid and left. I came back about twenty minutes later because the more I looked at my hands, the worse I felt. I had to travel to LA for work the next day and couldn’t go to meetings like this.When I went back, I told the woman at the desk what happened. She took one look at my hands and did the manicure over perfectly. Leslie was a dream. She took care of me and was so sweet and kind and gentle. Her customer service is impeccable and she’s a very talented nail artist. I’m so glad I went back and got it redone. I won’t vouch for anyone else but Leslie is the only reason I’m going back there.The salon is cute and they have complimentary drinks so I wanted to LOVE it. The first guy disappointed me but Leslie made up for it.

I accidentally came across this nail salon and it was worth my time! I got a gel manicure and pedicure by Johnathan, who was phenomenal. He was very professional from the moment I walked in. He paid specific attention to how I like my nails and did a great job! I love that this salon provides plastic covers in the pedicure sinks and use sterile instruments for each client! Oh and did I mention the wine! :) Ill definitely be back.

Nancy is my technician. I adore her work and her customer service. When she does my nails they last a long time and I get a lot of compliments on them. The salon offers all spa services and they are all very welcoming there. They offer complimentary drinks (including wine) to customers, which is a very nice touch.

I rarely leave reviews because most folks are trolling to find something to complain about but THIS salon is doing their level best to deliver superior customer service. My experience was wonderful and relaxing. The place is immaculate and well decorated. The owners and techs are friendly and accommodating. This place used to be my favorite. I will never go back here again. My dip powder was done by a nail tech who appeared to be new on the job and didn’t know what she was doing. My nails are uneven and the color looks horrible. This lady was also rushing me to pick a color instead of allowing me to take my time. I want to go back this week for a refund. Village nail bar, you guys are canceled!

Although the setting is nice I am extremely disappointed in the quality of my shellac manicure. Within 4 days of my visit I have two chipped nails...I have never experienced this with a shellac/gel manicure and for my visit to have cost $95 (including a pedicure) I absolutely did not get my moneys worth. Ive left the business a voicemail and Im hoping to hear back from them soon.Update: After coming back they fixed the 2 chipped nails...still not happy that I had to come back on a work day but it is what it is.

Two hours before I was to meet up with the rest of bridal party for the big day, I was able to walk in and be accomodated quickly. A full set and pedicure with a simple and elegant gel color, I was out within an hour. Big thanks to Lisa for making it happen! I will be sure to return next time I am not in such a rush.

First time at this nail salon I got the double shot pedicure hot stone, paraffin, massage, scrub, and a lot of other stuff. I had Jonathan he was the best! Most important part he did not rush and I got a 55 min pedicure......Finally found a new nail salon 😊

I do think this is one of the better nail salons in the area. But I wish it was more consistent. Sometimes the massages are short, and not as long as the description claims. Sometimes they’re excellent. Sometimes my nails look amazing, other times, they are “ok”. I think I need to remember the names of the good technicians and stick with that person, it kinda feels like Russian Roulette every time I come in here.

Justin is great at shaping and is a bit of a perfectionist. He will not let you leave looking less than on point!

This is my go to spot. They keep their facilities clean which is VERY important to me. Ive been to other places people reccomend and they have this fungus smell. Small advice: If there is an odor near the bathroom or their eating area in any nail salon, or if they use their bathrooms for storage....RUN LIKE HELL. 9/10 there is some bacteria brewing there. At this place They dont eat outside the designated eating area, But they serve wine to guest. I did a couples pedicure with my husband here and he actually loved it. We had the private couples room.Its true that it depends on your nail tech on how your nails turnout but thats with every nail salon. I dont get anything like fake nails. I like growing out my own nails. They really know how to care for natural nails which is great for me.

Visited this nail salon for the first time. The environment was clean but service was subpar at best. Im a stickler for customer service and have no problems paying for what I want, so I was definitely displeased when the Tech (Kenny) told me he didnt like doing designs. I wanted designs on only two fingers and he didnt even do a lot of artwork as he used the foil design on my nails and made a couple markings around it.My rating wouldve probably been better if he didnt kept repeating the fact that he didnt like doing designs to the person who was paying for them..me, the customer! Perhaps he couldve asked in advance what I wanted done and have a different Tech perform the services since he wasnt comfortable doing it. But I dont think the customer is the priority here. I wont be returning because I dont know what else thw Techs wont feel like doing thats customary in a nail salon.

Today my 80 year old mother, went to get a pedicure. I recommended the Nail Bar because it was supposed to be a great experience. When she arrived there this morning, it took them a very long time to tend to her. She felt rushed they did not provide a welcoming or pampering experience. She was not pleased and was upset. No one offered her something to drink. Customer service was not there. I called and spoke with the manager, Jonathan and he said that they were short staffed and perhaps that is why there was a lacking of customer service.that is not good, she went there at a non peak time and got lousy service. People pay extra to go there to experience something a bit more spa like and relaxing. Shame on the Nail Bar. My mom is upset and so am I.

This is my favorite place for mani/pedis. I do not get acrylics just basic nail care and polish. The service is always very courteous, serene environment and impeccable nail care. I just want to add to my previous review since some people claimed they didnt have enough options!!!This place is amazing. Ive watched people come in and get angry because of the wait and storm out. Ive watched people get upset and snatch candy, cookies, chips or food off the trays and storm out. Theres no reason to act like a child. The wait is long because they have a lot of customers. They even treat the rudest customers with the utmost respect! They provide tons of goodies to eat, sodas, water, coffee, tea and WINE or MIMOSAS! I have been coming here since day 1 when they opened! Their prices arent the cheapest but its more than fair for the quality of work! They have a ton of choices: 18 pedicure options, 12 nail enhancement and manicure options, 14 waxing options, 6 permanent makeup options, 6 eyelash options, 7 massage options, 5 facial options and 11 combo/package options. So no one should say they dont have enough options. These options have been available since they opened! Ive worked with most of the technicians here including the owner and I have no complaints! This place is already overpriced.I was rudely being rushed by my nail technician. She had a face mask on and it was already hard to hear and she KEPT rushing me to move. She kept saying ‘hellooooooooo’ like a helooooo can you hurry up kind of hello. She rushed out before finishing my nails and another tech had to finish the job.She rushed the whole process. I’m not sure who trained her but she needs a new job. I wasn’t satisfied I told management and they shook it off. I will never waste my hard earned money here again.Very disappointed!

I have received manicures and pedicures several times in the past at The Village Nail Bar by various technicians including the manager Jonathan. I went there primarily because it was close to home, clean and they did decent nails. The quality of my nails varied depending upon which technician serviced me. However, after my mother had a bad customer service experience with Jonathan last year, regarding poor quality work done by a different technician, I decided to no longer patronize this business. He was rude and didn’t care about rectifying the problem but getting her to spend more money for a “do over” for the original poor quality work. Fast forward to 2018, I decided after much contemplation and reading reviews to look for a “good” nail technician and to give this salon one more try. I called and spoke to Kenny and made an appointment with him. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told by Kenny that someone had called and canceled an appointment with him for the same time that I had scheduled my appointment with him, so the receptionist cancelled my appointment in error and there was nothing he could do because he took someone else and is fully booked. So, I am shocked first of all that someone had an appointment scheduled the “same” time with Kenny as I did and then supposedly someone called and canceled my appointment. Kenny didn’t try to accommodate me and have someone else complete the client who is now in my scheduled slot nor did he offer for me to wait for him. I spoke to Jonathan to see if he could do my nails since he did them before. He refused and stated he could give me someone else. My purpose in making an appointment with Kenny is because I wanted good quality service for my nails and not just some random technician. I asked Jonathan if he could offer a gift certificate since the salon made the error, to accommodate me. He refused, laughed and said its not their policy. I assume it’s not their policy to provide horrible customer service either but tends to be their practice. I let Jonathan know that I would be doing a review of my experience and he laughed at that as well. I know that they do not care about the customer. They just see green and think if they give the patrons candy, chips and drinks that they can treat people any kind of way. Well, my green spends where I am respected, appreciated and given great customer service. I do have a choice where I spend my money and I choose to never spend a dime there again!

First time going to them without an appointment with my boyfriend. The environment is very calm and peaceful, has a lot of space in there and all. I had bao ( not sure of spelling ) but it was a male and my boyfriend had Lisa.. they made great conversation, worked very fast but efficiently. Lisa also did my eyebrows which looks AWESOME by the way.We will be going back though. Next time we’ll be doing an appointment in one of the rooms and i will most likely continue to go to Bao and Lisa.

Went for SNS. I must have been placed with an inexperienced tech because my nails came out horrible. When I asked about filing my nails even I was told that they didnt do that to SNS nails. I have never had my SNS nails not filed for a smooth finish. I asked could someone else finish my nails but was waved off and told that everyone was busy, the shop had maybe 2 other clients. I will never spend money in a shop where they do not take what the client wants or asks into consideration. Run away from here and seek to spend your money elsewhere.

This place is very good! When I do go here its usually for my usual SNS powder nails because they are long lasting and the Billage Nail Bar gets the job done well. My only qualm about this place si that they get super busy and the wait time can be insane - even if you do have an appointment. If youre in a rush to get your nails done, I advise you get there early (as in go in the morning time which is the best option) or just wait until you have more time and youre not going to feel pressure to get them done. This place can be unpredictable.

Ive been to this shop twice, I live out of state and when Im in the DMV for an extended period of time I may need to get my nails done. The first time I came, I wasnt expecting much and thats what I got. Really basic service, and I came in for SNS and was tricked by my nail tech because he put gel on my nails. I didnt even know because I dont really pay attention to the entire process for SNS.So I went back again for a fill in, once again in the area for an extended period of time, but this time I just said, just let me get clear nails. Once gain, Ken put the gel on top, which hes not supposed to do with SNS and then I noticed that ALLLLLLL of my nails began to lift at the cuticle.I finally was able to get back to Atlanta to my nail tech and he said that my nails were topped with gel, which is not the proper topping for SNS and he also said that my nails werent sealed, which is why they were lifting at the cuticle. Thankfully I didnt go too long with those raggedy nails because I couldve gotten a fungus under my nails.I think that the most upsetting part of my experience is that I was charged for something that I didnt technically get. Its dangerous and unhealthy to the public to have people compromised in this manner.

I love coming here! They have really nice techs like Nacy, Bryan, and a young lady who is hip and whose name I cant remember. They take their time with u as well.

I really enjoyed my hot stone pedi and the massage! I actually fell asleep. Normally I am watching every move the nail tech is doing. Here I was very relaxed. The wine bar doesnt hurt either! Will be my go to from now on.

I normally go here when my technician is unavailable. I went in for a simple polish change on my toes. My technician was Nancy. She didn’t completely remove the initial polish off my toes and she did a rush job applying the new polish. I was completely dissatisfied and disappointed. Probably won’t be going back.

AWESOME ZEN-FUL experience.. very quiet spa like.. no TV.. no loud noise.. just what I needed.. I wish I had time to stay for more services but I was rushing. I will definitely return with my mom for more pampering. I got a full gel set w/ design. Quietly tucked away in the corner, but once you walk in, completely different spa-like vibe. My FIRST TIME w/ Ms. Nancy and she secured a RETURN client. I love that its in my neighborhood but feels like Im in Annapolis. KUDOS to VNB!! Keep my chair ready.. Ill see you folks soon!!

I haven’t been to this place in over a year because of my last experience with them.Do not go here. When I felt like I was being over charged for a refill the nail tech next to the one removing my polish told me to go somewhere else if I have a problem with the price. I couldn’t believe it! Then when I made a complaint to the manager about her he showed no care for what I was saying. We need more diverse nail salons because of this issue right here. These asian business owners think that they can treat people any kind of way when we’re the ones spending our hard earned cash for their services.

Went in for SNS and pedicure. A natural look. The guy was young and did a average job on my pedicure as the paint was a bit sloppy. The SNS was a nightmare. I got white which should be easy but he dipped my nails in the powder like 10 times and instead of a natural look they look bulky like cement blocks on my nail. For the price I am disappointed and probably will not return.
