Overall a good tour, they take you all over downtown. Some of the tour guides speak a little fast so it may be hard to understand them. Easy to get on and off. I dont know how much i paid for the tour since i was told we were taking it by the wife, but they provide a good history overview. Ill let you know if it was worth the value when I get my credit card statement!
Very good tour. A lot of interesting facts. Our tour guide/driver Devlin had a lot of knowledge about the history of the city. I will definitely be back
Planned a trip around Boston with the boy. Tour guides were funny and interesting, made for an enjoyable experience, definitely recommended!
The price is good and they cover a good portion of boston area. The tour drivers are nice and one of them was very fun
Magoo was our best tour guide. Funny, informative, good driver, answered all questions. Hi praises.
Seeing how we LOVE the st Augustine old trolleys I figured this would be the best choice for getting around Boston but it was a hassle and a mess. The stop closest to our hotel only ran from 9-11 am so once the trolley stopped running at 5pm you were SOL & on your own. The tours were long, and even longer wait times to even get on IF there was room for you. Traveling took up the entire day just trying to get from placeTo place. Hambone (I think) swore the Boston tea party museum was open until 5pm but please be warned it closes at 4! And we missed it. Just trying to get there took is from 2:30 until 4:45 ish and It was the only thing I wanted to do this trip. They closed the next two days so we couldnβt even save it for another day. The booths for this trolley which is where we bought the tickets did not DO REFUNDS so we canβt even get our money back for the tour until we email in and request it. However Webly made up or entire experience and I am so happy we stuck it out and tried the trolleys again. He was the best guide! Extremely helpful, willing to make room for Everyone, and helped us get back to stop 18. He was also the easiest to understand & Informative. St Augustine is a way batter trolley experience for travel but if you want all the history the and only want to do a 90 minute tour this might me worth it for you.
Wide open no-glass big windows give super views in the season. Use your ticket for free admission to a handful of venues and youll save a bundle especially if you are with family. For example $22 tickets to the wax museum are included free. Be sure to plan your stops ahead of time, but be aware that Boston is a construction zone with stops cancelled or closed from time to time during the day as streets are open and shut. The loop takes about two and a half hours in busy weekday traffic. Snappy wise-cracking drivers do an amazing job keeping everyone entertained while professionally navigating the tangled streets. This is a superb way to see the area, and is a very good value.
New York and Joe are great driver tour guides!
Covid restrictions made getting on and off a problem. Get off and be prepared to wait.
Great way to hear the history of Boston and getting around the city! Very friendly staff!
Very insightful and education for the kids great day out
The trolley is the best way to see the city. We had a great day listening about the city from the drivers. They were GREAT!!!!
We had a wonderful and educational tour, largely due to the amazing tour guide Joe Rich. He was extremely knowledgeable, and entertaining as well!!!
WhT happen
A good way to get a feel for the city. Driver non stop talking and driving. Was hoping to see more historical places from trolley vs getting out and walking to each one. Did the upgrade to do the Harbor Tour via the boat. That was really worth it.
This is a really good way to get around the city and see all the main attractions (especially in the Winter!) We chose this company over their competitor because it went over to MIT. Highly recommend getting off at the MIT stop and going to Harvard Square. Itβs a beautiful campus and there are bars and shops around. Sometimes the bus got busy so we couldnβt get on but there were always other buses a few minutes behind it so we werenβt waiting long.
Nice informative tour. Only company to offer a trolley tour like this so be ready for long waits if you plan on doing this when itβs busy. There were 2 trolleys operating when we went which is fine when thereβs not many people but once it started to get busy a lot of people were left waiting as there was no seats available on either trolley.
Did the full tour with Gonzo, nice guy but he didnt give a ton of information about the city during the tour. Very little history, but some fun everyday commentary. Hopped on for a while with cowboy, awesome guide, lots of information and history throughout, and a genuinely likeable guide.Would recommend, but the quality is contingent on the guide. Highly recommend with cowboy.
The sales person was really helpful. We saved a lot by buying the harbour boat tour and trolley tour together. The trolley tour has two separate routes with lots of stops. One route takes 2 hours and the other one 1 hour but you can spread your journey into two days. Just explain the need and theyll put a note on your ticket. There is live and humorous commentary instead of recorded voice. Its a pleasant journey.
Our experience was just okay. The stops are not marked at all, so it is really difficult to find where youre supposed to get on the trolley. The tour guides were okay, some better than others. They did not tell us about the free Boston Harbor cruise, which was unfortunate because we would have worked that into our itinerary for the day if we had known before we got there and heard from another passenger. The trolleys themselves were very nice and it was a good way to see the city without so much walking.
We loved this tour. However we cut it short at cheers. We stopped and ate lunch there. Long line but worth the wait for the lifetime experience!
A great way to get around Boston. Hop on hop off at all the major attractions. They run every 20 minutes.
During our trip to Boston, we used the Trolley to get the most out of a day of travel! We had two different drivers and they were as different as night and day. Laurent was the one we enjoyed the most! He was knowledgeable and friendly and was really, really helpful! I would recommend this trolley tour in a heartbeat!
Really a lot of cool stops, but they sort of fly through them, making it hard to get good pics. Our first tour guide was great, but when we switched trolleys, the second tour guide was not only BORING, but her voice gave me a literal migraine. If you get Jane, GET OFF THE BUS! If it wasnt for our first awesome tour guide, it would have been a horrible tour, but he made it worth the $40. Also, they have a student discount even if you forgot your ID.
Drivers told stories with interesting tidbits as well as the planned descriptiond
Had a great trip with enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides. Also friendly and helpful.
This is probably the best way to get around the city and see a lot with some narration and background. The harbor tour thats included is awesome, too!I will say, I think the experience varies by driver. We had 3 different ones today -- first guy (Gonzo) was awesome. Next two seemed hurried and not really into the experience of the riders. Overall, though, worth the expense, and much cheaper than using ride share/taxis all day.
Great tour guides - they need to be clear about drop and pick up locations
Informative and fun, Uncle Steve and Stev-O made sure we had a entertaining experience as we learned about the Boston area; its pretty interesting actually. Youll enjoy it!
Wow! A great way to learn about Boston. 22 stops and you get to hop on/off all day. Perfect for a person with a bad legπ¬ we took the trolly first thing in the morning and went through the 22 stops. Getting off for lunch etc but during the tour I wrote down which stop # so then I can go back to it. I think this trolly was great. The only negative thing I could say is I wish the stops would be more clearer wheee to stay . It was hard looking for the orange black paper around the sign. Thank youπ
Memorial Day weekend 2019. Only started service at 12pm but their website did have a note although not while buying. Stood at Boston Commons stop 14 and 5 buses came and couldnt take more than 3 ppl. People in line were NOT happy and drivers werent helpful. Finally just took a Lyft. Other City tour buses had way more space. Def wouldnt do this again.
Tour was great...knowledgeable staff fully narrated! Was a great way to get around the city!
Great for tourist! They go round the city explaining each and every spot of significant importance. Hop and stop also possible.
You get to see many of the nice sites around town.
Consistently felt rushed. Often waited for busses for more than 30-minutes because all existing trolleys were full. Would not recommend.
Great way to see Boston and very informative guides/drivers.
Good way to see the city without the hassle of driving
The best way to see Boston, no doubt. The trolley drivers are a well of knowledge when it comes to Boston and they do knew how to hold your attention.
Bad experience we were stuck at Boston common park. Spoke to rep. Advice there is another trolley behind. Had to wait hour.to see trolley. Remember do not get off trolley to tour. Trolley is always full..
The guides were informative. Clean and pleasant
Good way to get around Boston. We enjoyed getting on/off at our favorite spots.
We had the best tour guide. His name is Michaelangelo. Polite, funny and new his stuff. Would def do this again.
Could have taken uber, gotten where we wanted to go. We did our trip Sunday and they didnt plan with enough buses or drivers. having to wait for four buses to get on took over 40 minutes. Not good for the money. If I would have uberd I would have enough to buy a lobster roll.
Great way to see the high points.
Excellent service. The drivers were professional, and they enjoyed making you smile with jokes, puns, etc. Mr. HUGO was the most fun, and I hope that he is one of our tour guides should we ever have the occasion to return to Boston in the future.
Tour was awesome. Well documented and well organised.
Learned alot and enjoyed seeing the sights. The trolley drivers were friendly and safe.
Always fun!
Perfect way to see a new city on your terms/schedule! PProfessional, informational, and timely
Love it a must do when in town, love that its narrated
Great Tour..great, funny, knowledgeable Tour guides!! A must see Tour while in Boston!! You see all the Landmarks!!
Awesome tour and great price!
Excellent tour. Highly recommend it.
So much fun. The drivers are fun and knowledgeable
Awesome. Loved the cowboy and bear.
Fits the job but long wait for trolley (30 mins) only to be told they are full so wait for the next one (another 20 mins)
Trolleys tailgate each other, running back to back, and dont stop long enough for people to get on. This creates a unnecessary gap in pick up times.
We are on the tour right now. Jewels the tour guide is awful. Give me Matty, or give me death (a.k.a Jewels narration)
Worst bus service provided ever. Unfortunately there are no other choices. The schedule is not followed by the drivers and they dont stop at the drop off and on stations, we waited for more than half an hour and the excuse of the driver is probably they didnt see you.. yeah a group of 6 people...
So fun and informative!
Nice energetic tour guides with lots of history
Great way to see a city
Great experience!
Very disappointing. Company knew this was going to be a busy week-end in Boston & apparently made no effort to control mumber of tickets sold or number of trolleys available. Waited for over an hour at several stops which restricted number of sites visited. Poor service for $222.
Hop on (and off) and see the entire city, and then some
Not much to see ... Very difficult to find ...
Worth the price
Fun!
Good way to see Boston
Overpriced
Never again
We loved it. Everything was beautiful !!!
Excellent tour, you just need to talk a little more slowly so that non-natives can understand
Very nice driver. He explained a lot, even though I was the only guest in rainy weather. He was visibly proud of his city.
Very cool old buses. The audio quality from the live guide (is the driver at the same time) was very bad and especially when other guests talk almost unintelligible (Pity!). The stops cannot be recognized. In rush hour, the tour (without getting off) takes two or three hours to start.
Complete and fun
It does not have in Spanish
