Inept dispatcher two words trash company no wonder Uber and Lyft are putting them out business

Whom ever it was that Answers and dispatched for this company is one of the rudest individuals I ever had the no So pleasure of dealing with that morning!If you cant or dont like your job that has to deal with the outside world then DO US ALL THAT NEED CAB SERVICES FIND A NEW PROFESSION THATS AS FAR AWAY FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE AS YOU CAN GET

Taxi 1011 drove 4 senior citizens (one struggling with a recent knee replacement) from the airport to a hotel 6 miles away. He loaded our suitcases, told us to open the sliding door ourselves, then we had to clamber over the back seat to get to the back bench seat. When we arrived, he again did not open the door, and he unloaded the suitcases 3 feet from the curb. We tried to scoot the back seat forward to get out of the bench seat, but he told us to leave the seat alone and climb over. Not personable. Not respectful. Fee was reasonable but taxes doubled the amount.

Took a taxi from south station to 69 boston stwanyed to charge $20:00 when fact fair was only $9.20, what is up with that?

Called this morning asking for the wait time, which would be a valid question being that there’s snow everywhere. Had the nerve to give attitude and hang up abruptly when I responded that i wouldn’t need the ride again. I have yet to understand how businesses give you attitude when you’re giving them your hard earned money. If it wasn’t for the customers you wouldn’t have no business. They should let that sink in.

The driver was courteous and on time. He had an excellent knowledge of the Boston streets.

Never used GPS always most cars has cigarettes smell. Never on time they took the longer route to get more money in their pocket. They are rude never communicates well no customer service the cars are always stink.

2:23pm, Lowes in Framingham on Jan-09 2021. Minivan bearing this companys name and phone number drove erratically through the parking lot, including squealing tires, weaving between cars in parking spaces, and honking at pedestrians in parking lot. Ill never use them, and hope that driver is taken off the road before an accident happens.

When you call, the person is very rude and cussed cause my friend was having a hard time pronouncing a adresss and he just hung up on us and blocked our number.

I have been using Independent Taxi for years and they have always come through. Im in my 40s and I dont use the ubers etc and have always taken cabs when needed (airport to and from etc) and every time Independent Taxi has been great. Best cab company in Boston - hands down!

I would give them negative stars if possible. The hacker at the cruise port told us it was a metered cab, we were going 9 tenths of a mile to our hotel, but not so. After luggage was loaded into can and 2 more people crammed in we were told our total was $45.00 and the other couple had to pay $35.00 to get to bus station. $80.00 to go less than 2 miles!!!!!! Never again. Lyft and Uber from here on out for us.

After reading all the negative reviews, I was reluctant to use this service. SURPRISE! My driver cab #1733 was prompt, courteous, carried my suitcase through the rain, up the stairs and into South Station. No more expensive than Uber. I will use them again whenever Im in Boston.

IVE FINALLY HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY! I swore I would NEVER EVER use them again after 3 horrible experiences. Not with the daytime driver BIG JOHN. So if you need to get someone where quickly with a great personality to boot. Call and ask for BIG JOHN!!!

I require a wheelchair accessible cab when I travel and we had schedule a pick up from this cab company several hours in advance. I waited for 40 minutes and several calls to the cab company, and still no cab. They kept telling me it was 10 minutes out. Finally had to find another ride to the airport so I could make my flight. Would not recommend and will not use again!

I couldn’t say any nicer words...The appreciation and respectful service under the circumstance...I’m glad I found a reliable place like Independent Taxi Operators to rely on when I’m in the Boston area...Great driver personalities and down to earth...Two thumbs up on this one...

Despite services like uber Lyft and other car ride companies that are out here I still have been choosing to use the good old-fashioned cab service. There is much of a difference between a drivers over and listen to have more professional season drivers Independent Taxi seems to have a bunch of immigrants and rude people on the phone including the supervisor Ive been using them for almost a year almost everyday and today I forgot my keys inside their car I was told that I would have to pay to get my keys back or I can intravenously go pick them up from the police station I forgot to add it I got a ride to the closest T Station I asked the sky to extend my ride so that I can receive door-to-door service he told me know it will be better for me to take the train because he would be stuck in traffic on the way back my gut tells me if he would have just brought me all the way there this would have never happened I dont see how the supervisor can come down thats bad customer service but I guess theyre following their leader shes a total stupid ass b**** and I would love to spend her f****** face

I only left one star so I could say something. This guy last night never turned meter on, before would drive demanded 20 bucks for ride. Wasnt a 10 dollar ride. But I had groceries and it was 12 am so I had to do it. He was rude and swindler!! And said his boss told him to do it this way!!!! DO NOT USE Independent Taxi Co. Medallion number 1658. On June 22nd at 9-9:30am at the pick up spot for boat cruise in the seaport district this taxi driver tried to start a fight with me. This is NO WAY to run a business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this taxi company to anyone!! I had to click on one star to post this review but I wouldnt even give them a half of star!!!!

I just called to schedule a wheelchair accessible taxi, first thing I ask him is do you have any wheelchairs accessible taxis available tonight his response why do you need a WA taxi? Because Im in a wheelchair,why would you all that!? You just lost my business! Why would you even ask for a WA if you werent in a wheelchair and why ask someone that!?

This taxi service epitomizes incompetence and stupidity. Theyre highly unreliable and unprofessional. Seriously, their equivalent to a 5 minute wait is showing up 30 minutes to an hour AFTER youve called them. Their phone operating system seems to be highly dated as well because if they DO show up, they dont have the sense to call and let you know theyre at your location. Theyre just an overall BAD service and unless you want to start your day on a bad note, I suggest you just dont even think of calling them.

Called three times to schedule taxis for a group of important people leaving from a conference downtown. They would not let me schedule a taxi and when I called back twice they were extremely rude and the taxi never showed up. Completely unreliable...

Taxi was fast and efficient. Dispatcher was professional and accurate with time of arrival.

I was picked up at the cruise port to be taken to Enterprise car rental which I know is less than 5 miles away. The driver at first aggressively suggested that we opted for the $40 flat fee since traffic was very bad. I insisted on using the metered fee. He drove us around in circles but could not get the meter over $19. I would never use this company again.

Took me all over. Had to tell the driver step by step. Cost me almost double than getting there.

I questioned the taxi driver about the direction he was taking once thinking he was trying to run up the fare, then it became obvious he was taking us to the wrong place. When I said something again I reiterated the location I wanted to go and he said that wasnt what he heard. He then kicked us out of his can for questioning him. Back of the cab said Boston Cab LLC. Dont bother trying to order a taxi if you are an international visitor. It took 1 hour and 4 phone calls to try and arrange a taxi pick up from UMASS Boston! They dont accept international numbers. The only thing nice about this company was the last operator I spoke to on the phone who eventually got me a taxi within 10 mins due to me saying I needed to get to the airport. Never again!!! I could have walked back to the north of Boston in the time it took me to get a cab!!!

I will never call independent taxi due to one of the drivers who frequently comes and goes out of the building I live in. He is very nasty attitude type of a person. He drives his non wife that lives in Lynn Massachusetts around for free and makes everyone else pays for the ride..

I wont use this company again. The driver didnt use the meter and Billed me 20 bucks for a short ride, he kept using the horn for everything, very unpolite. I felt i was ripped for such a short service.

They have the worst service ever, they are so inconsistent. I have to be waiting 30mins to 1hr waiting on a taxi and they have no courtesy at the call center. I have to be calling every minute to find out how far the taxi is. They even cancelled the taxi at one point without letting me know after I requested one and I was waiting forever. Dont bother wasting your time on this incompetent taxi service. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

I use this cab company sometimes when I have to work at my other location. Every morning I support Taxis instead of ubers because I feel as if it takes away from the every day man and woman. This morning I was profiled because Im young and black. He wanted me to pre pay because he felt I didnt have the money. Are you kidding me? Im a manager at 2 locations and this is how Im treated. I will never in life use this cab company. 1436 is this guy cab number. He made me get out of his cab away from where he picked me up and not even close to my destination. I will advise noone to use this company again.

When I finally settled the bill Via credit card I putted $0 for tip because I was going to tip in cash.He proceeded to talk on the phone and was upset that he did not get a tip.It was raining and he driver parked in a puddle. That would of been fine but when he proceeded to place my bag in water I quickly corrected him he looked at me and dropped my bag (that has my laptop) into the water.I exclaimed :Are you serious. And he responded: Yes. Then got into the cab and drove off leaving me and my baggage in the middle of the street in the rain.Worst he dropped me at the wrong location.

Dont waste your time called for a cab and been waiting 45 minutes. Not to mention theres a cab stand down the street at Ashmont T station. If I wasnt 33 weeks pregnant I would have walked to the cab stand. Just registered with Uber and Lyft and got an Uber in 10 minutes. I see why ppl use Uber and Lyft now!!!!

The driver arrived 15 minutes late, which forced me to call another cab company and stress out at 4AM about missing my flight. The driver told me he forgot his transmitter for the tolls, and said that he might get pulled over and cited if a cop happens to be there (more unnecessary 4AM stress, lovely). The driver then spoke to me incessantly, unable to pick up the social cue that I didnt feel like gabbing. He overshared his sex life in an entirely inappropriate and borderline aggressive way. To top it off, the touchscreen was glitched so I couldnt pay with credit, and I waited with him for five minutes in front of the terminal as I waited for him to re-boot the car and machine. In 20+ years of taking cabs to/from airports, Ive never had such a terrible experience. If an employer reads this, please look into confronting the driver on these issues. If a potential customer reads this, just please, dont bother.

They are not professional at all.. one of the employee used to come to the building to stay with a female that just moved out,, this guy that drives for independent taxi is very disrespectful to the tenants at night especially after 11PM hammering and banging till 3 in the morning.

The driver 1557 try stolen my money. He charged me $28 dollars from airport to the train at south station, when I complained he changed me $22.00 and than included $7.55 for toll but he never paid for it. Dont use those cabs.

They come to my house seen 3 bags and pulled off on my 8 month pregnant girlfriend and 3 year old daughter. I called them they said its nothing they could do.

If I could give zero stars, i would. I booked a taxi online to get to the airport, then called to confirm it. They called at 3am, and when I didnt pick up, they cancelled. The operator was rude when i called to ask where my ride was, as well. Dont give them your business
