There is attendant around. They monitor the laundry room remotely. So make sure you have crisp dollars because it would not take it. It is in the heart of Beacon Hill. It is $3.25 to wash a load. The laundrymat closes at 9:00 pm promptly daily. The end time changed per sign on the window. There on no front loader washers. Happy Laundromat Day! You heard it here first! When MaLaSpeaks Everyone Listens!
I have used this place many times over last few months and never had any issues, its a classic laundry Matt, monitored, mostly home style washers, two high capacity washer and several large dryers. Change machine and detergent vending machine. Clean, I have seen a person come through to clean several times.
Drying machines don’t work. Had to use three different drying machines to find one that worked. Ate my money.
Perfectly fine. Change machine worked. Washer worked. Dryer worked. $3 to wash, 75¢ to dry. Most importantly, in a neighborhood that looked decent and safe.
Its a laundromat, and it serves its purpose. Everything works alright and its conveniently located. Really hot in the summer. The change machine has been broken a few times so maybe come prepared or be open to searching for quarters.
Dryers are a pain. Give them a spin before putting money in them. If they spin easily, it wont work. Find one that fights back when you try to spin it.Hours say closes at 10:00, last load at 8:45, but Ive seen people start loads later than that.
The machines are only typically reliable--coins can be eaten and the dryers get too hot. Its not particularly clean or comfortable. Still, its a decent place with relatively long hours.
Place is so small and many machines broken. Had to try three different dryers and second one ate my money so had to run to Harvards Gardens to get more change to be able to finish drying.I didnt see the out of order sign on first one because it was so small just covering coin slot, but second one wasnt, there were few other machines also marked out of order. Not good having broken machines with no onsite staff to assist customers.
Average neighborhood laundromat. The place is clean, the washers and dryers are relatively recent and efficient, and they usually work well (my only complaint is that sometimes 1 or 2 of the dryers are broken and not marked as such). The laundromat is usually unattended and there isnt any wash-and-fold service.Washing machines take $2.75 per load, dryers take $0.25 per 6 minutes (as of April 2011). There are also a couple triple-load washers for $4.25. Everything is by quarters (no fancy debit cards unfortunately). There is a change machine thats pretty reliable.
The quarter machine is very good at short changing and the dryers eat quarters.
This laundromat has been nothing but one upsetting experience after another. The washers (for the most part) simply fill with water and then empty the water: the clothes inside do not receive a proper cleaning (as noted by the detergent not being agitated when I go to remove my clothing after a cycle). None of the machines are cared for and many simply have the broken labels removed as if that magically made the problem go away as well. In the past 1.5yrs Ive been living in the neighborhood and unfortunately using this establishment out of convenience (I usually have to re-do my load of laundry several times in one visit for it to be clean) I have not once seen maintenance or any sort of employee on site. The most upsetting incident happened about 1month ago in June 2015 when my clothing caught fire in one of the dryers and despite calling their emergency hotline number 6 times, I have still not spoken directly to management about the issue because they have yet to return any of my calls. I had to replace $400+ of damaged clothing and it looks like I will never be reimbursed for this matter.I am beyond livid at the service this laundromat provides and I am enraged that there is no proper way to have these matters dealt with. You are all honestly better off using a drop off-pick up laundry service on Charles Street.Good luck.
Theres a money changing machine, saves the trouble of collecting quarters... anyway the notice says closes promptly at 10 last load at 8:45pm!
Not much to say.. my clothes are clean
Little local laundry. 😊
Most machines work
Washers and dryers sometimes eat quarters
Close to home.
Awful
I did not like that it has no plug to charge cell phone
Well.
