I got a massage and it was fantastic; however, it didn’t last the full amount of time I had signed up for (90 mins). I mentioned this to the front desk and Jessica was very accommodating. Wanted to call out her fantastic customer service!
Enjoyed a nice barre class here while I was in town. I’ve been to a few exhales and this is a great space and a great instructor. Area outside the studio didn’t have lockers but felt comfortable leaving my stuff. Clean studio and friendly front desk although they seemed a little over whelmed with the weekend rush.
Ive been getting massages here for several years now. Its a luxury spa which means theyre a treat, but they have deals almost every month. The best deal is 50% off on your birthday month. I always take advantage of that! The best part about this spa is that theyre open late. Ive only taken one or two classes there and its intense.
The management in this loction horrible. i came a few times for facial with Lila she was rude tricks me with the price and forced me to pay double price for treatment that i never did.the manger yelled me that i have to pay for the service i never got.Be aware for your bill when you sign and pay . check them before.also they cheat about the treatment. they promise you one thing and you get different treatment of curse much chipper than you pay.I do not recommend facial in this location .Lila rude and tricks clients also the manger.Be careful.
For an excellent massage see David. Amazing and intuitive. He takes his time really listens to when you explain what you need and very professional!
This is a review for classes only - not the spa. Their Barre/Sport/Core Fusion are so amazing, it was a little intimidating at first, people are so fit but thats because the classes are challenging and fun, its easy to become a regular. Denise/Molly/Thalia are amazing instructors, in the last 2 years of regular classes, always stellar. Go check this place out!
Great escape from the city and calm, lovely setup. I was in town for a conference and needed some movement. Its a spa and fitness studio with a nice layout and perks of a day spa (water, tea, showers, robes) for even a single yoga class. Nicely lit, small-ish studio but it wasnt crowded. Their yoga instructor Emily Burdett is great also--deep stretches and a calm guiding voice.
I love their core fusion classes and plan on trying the yoga ones soon, but the facial I got seemed no better than me doing it myself at home. That being said, the locker rooms are very well kept and the steam room is a definite plus!
The management of this location is atrocious. I booked (online) massages for both my wife and me as a part of her birthday celebration. I found it odd that I received only confirmation for my massage, so I called immediate and was assured that, yes, both massages were in the system and they were able to confirm both my wifes name and the appointment I purchased for her. The day before our appointments I received another confirmation, again for mine only. I called again and had the same experience - able to confirm all details, and was assured that all would be set.Youll never guess how this ends.We show up early after rushing through traffic to get there on time, even calling ahead to AGAIN confirm that appointments were setup for both of us. The manager, Im assuming, is just sitting at the computer staring at it while we stand there waiting to be helped, without even an acknowledgement that we are there. Sure enough, in her best surly manner, she asks if she can help us. I say that we are checking in for our massages and, lo and behold, they cannot find the reservation for my wife. I share the above story, ask how it is possible all of this could be confirmed but now it does not exist, and the managers offer is a free facial for my wife and that I shouldnt be upset about paying for this as they have only placed a hold on my credit card for the massages. She is utterly and completely tone deaf and I can only assume that she is in some management capacity for reasons wholly unrelated to customer service. On top of that, the offer to make good has nothing to do with the fact that they screwed up and she should be accountable - she is making her failing as a manager the responsibility of someone within their cosmetics team to rectify, with absolutely no effort or acknowledgement on her part that they did something wrong. For this reason I will strongly and vociferously dissuade any and everyone that I know who brings up wanting any service that Exhale offers from going there. Literally, I will recommend that they go anywhere but there, let alone try to do something as futuristic as use their website to book an appointment and expect it to work.
I like this studio a lot. One complaint- they need to decrease the enrollment cap for their fitness classes by about 5 people. Sometimes it is uncomfortably crowded! Otherwise love the classes, and much nicer facility than other fitness studios.
Easily one of the best spas in Boston. Which one is actually the best is difficult to say at this level, but definitely worth a trip for any spa aficionado worth her (bath) salt.
My husband and I just got a couples massage at Exhale Back Bay and we overall disappointed with our experience. The atmosphere and experience was not what I would have expected for a high-end and expensive spa. The locker rooms for the spa area are the same locker rooms used for the gym, so they were very crowded and loud. The bath robes were old and cheap - I counted four different holes in my robe. The massages that my husband and I received were mediocre. At times it seemed that our therapists did not know what they were doing . I asked that my shoulders and back be targeted because they were tight from work and travel - my back massage felt more like a back rub than an actual massage. My husband received a deep tissue massage that he said was OK, but not worth the money. Overall we were very disappointed with the experience and dont feel that it was worth the money. I recommend going elsewhere!
1st off they ask that you come at least 30 minutes early so you can relax with their teas... so I went early and was immediately sent to appt. no relaxing tea time😲Next, The pedicure chairs are ridiculously difficult to get in and out of. I bumped my foot getting out, she fixed it, then charged me for it!My pedi looks...like my 10 year old daughter did it.And...Manicurist also didn’t like to paint to the edges of my nails, all the way to cuticle...which left a scraggly line...I went around my cuticles and straitened out the lines a bit. Also, My toe tips were rough because she did not continue smoothing/exfoliating after ward. 😫I tried to be positive through the experience...but sadly realize I wasted my money.Lastly, Both manicurists complained about there not being adequate supplies while I was trying to enjoy my manicure. Once the next customer came in, I did not get any further instructions, help with anything, (pedi flip flops off, help with coat, not even a goodbye, yet I left a nice tip 😑I can’t “Exhale” in peace or pleasure, only a sigh of sad disbelief.
Love the yoga classes however I was very upset with the barre instructor aggressively pulling on my legs to correct my position.
