Yesterday was my first time visiting family barber. The barber I booked was had a schedule change and immediately text me early in the morning to notify me and re-book with another barber. The place was clean, friendly. My barber was amazing as I am sure all that work there are and prices for such great work was a great value. Do not hesitate to book at Family Barbershop.

They are open, not crazy busy yet so make your appointments now. Felt very safe with their personal protective gear guidelines inside, everyone must wear a mask, disposable aprons provided to customers. Definitely stop in for a haircut.

Really great, friendly, and a good value. The only place in Boston (that Ive ever heard of) that includes a straight razor lineup for under $30. Every barber Ive been to there has been excellent. English speakers are welcomed here, so dont hesitate! Ask for Stan, hell set you up.

I brought my 2.5 year old in for his first real haircut, and they did a fantastic job. Not only did he look more handsome than I thought possible, but the barbers were all super kind and gentle with him, and they made the whole experience really fun. I was impressed that they didnt resort to using screens to zombify my kid as Ive seen in other places that accept children--all it took was a surprise plastic alligator toy and some clever re-direction to keep my kid happy and cooperative. Well done, and well definitely be back! (Small side note that if you are freaked out by other peoples cut hair, this might not be the right place for you. They are too busy servicing customers and having a great time to sweep up very often.)

Juan is the scissors master. Hes been cutting hair for 30 years and it really shows. Ive always been extremely satisfied with his cuts. He pays attention to the details and will make sure you leave the barbershop looking sharp

Incredible haircut, incredibly slow. If there is more than one person ahead of you, plan to wait at least an hour. Appointments highly recommended- in any case, youll get a killer cut.

I’ve been coming here since it opened. I was going to Exclusive across the street, and I decided to check this spot out because I saw the guys here were from Exclusive. Also, it was on the same side of the street as my apartment in Allston, which was a nice minor convenience.I’ve been seeing Juan Paulino. Not only is he a great barber (I always leave stunned at how amazing the cut is), but he’s also outstanding with customer service. I never feel out of place despite my low Spanish proficiency.Also, he knows how to handle my hair. I’ve had only a handful of barbers over the years who I would trust as much as I trust Juan Paulino. After moving from Chicago and having to leave my guy there, who was a mentor and friend, too, I’m glad I’ve found this shop and a talented barber who I know will make me look amazing.

Never be here again. They don’t listen to what you say and they cut your hair as they want (or as they know probably) the worst haircut I’ve ever had, the guy there cut 1 inches of my hair when he was outlining around my ears and back neck! Looks like I have a hamlet on !!!June 30, 2018
