I’ve been getting my haircut by Walt for over five (5) years now and I honestly couldn’t imagine going to anyone else. He takes the time to build a relationship with his clients which allows him to understand their preferences and requires hardly any direction when getting a cut. Since the pandemic, I transitioned to the mobile grooming service and it has been incredible. I have been able to get the same A+ experience from the comfort of my own home. Highly Recommend.

Walter gave me a great clean cut. Used all the tools of the trade (went through multiple clipper types/sizes, straight razor, dried and wet the hair multiple times to get the exact cut he wanted, etc.) and really took his time to get me looking proper for my brothers wedding. Got many compliments on the big day. Check Walter out, hes the real deal.

Not only is it the best haircut in Boston...it is the best overall experience in a barbershop Ive ever had. Youll get all the old familiars (the chair, the straight razor, etc), but Walter is the only barber I know who is concerned with innovating. The ability to book and pay online is perhaps the best example. Similar to your favorite ride sharing app, this allows for a smooth experience in the shop. No waiting. No calling to see if the shop is busy. Book and pay online...then walk in and enjoy the experience. Walter has always got something new going on. Hes always trying something new. His drive to improve and never settle, is what makes him great!

I spent years trying to find a decent haircut, let alone the best one around Boston. There are countless shops that will tell you they know whats up with styles and overall hair cutting methods, but no one even comes close to what youll get from Walt. He knows how to handle any hair, any style, and client, guy or girl. Social Club Barbers has legit brought a chance to my life I didnt know I was missing, and the network Ive built from knowing Walter has only been positive. Walter is fantastic. Definitely one of the best haircuts Ive ever had, and in a comfortable space without the unnecessary fluff and pretentiousness of some other shops. All the booking ran through the website, and it was a very smooth process.I dont have the easiest hair to work with, and all I know how to say is the same shape but shorter. Walter knew what needed to be done without me having to try to figure it out. Im going to go back and be able to say nothing and get exactly what I want.

Ive lived in the Cambridge/Boston area for 5 years now, and until recently Ive been unable to find anyone who can do a decent job cutting my hair. I tried everything from barbershops that came highly recommended by friends to higher end salons. Each time I left one of these locations I was always disappointed and upset with the results. I found Social Club Barbers when I was looking online about 6 months ago, and figured why not give this place a try; it only had 5 star reviews and it was close to my office downtown.Scheduling an appointment was very easy on their website, which allowed me to pay in advance. When I got there the environment was nice and the shop was kept immaculately clean. Walter the barber was friendly and professional and the other patrons were more than pleasant. The hair cut was so good I tipped him extra even though I had already tipped him. Ive gone back several times since then and the results have been equally as good each time. In fact Im writing this review, the first review Ive ever written, just because I hoped it would help more people discover this hidden gem!

Not sure how anyone could give Walter a bad review. This is hands down the best haircut you can get in Boston and probably the best haircut I have ever had. I moved to Boston from NYC 5 months ago and needed a place to get my haircut, and I am lucky Google led me here as I have been a loyal customer ever since. You will not be disappointed.

Dude knows how to cut hair. Im from out of town and this guy cut my hair like no one else ever has. Different from everywhere else Ive gone to my whole life. The cut was the same but with nuances that Ive never seen or experienced before. Take a chance here and youll get something the same but new and incredibly detailed in ways you didnt know were there. Treat yourself and be surprised. Great environment and the best experience Ive ever had.

I moved from Dubai to Boston. Found Walters place by google. Didnt know what to expect, next thing I know Ive got an amazing haircut. Took my brother and dad the following week. Make sure you use the website to do your booking and payment. Walter doesnt do any walk-in clients. Honestly, feels better that way. I dont need to worry about having cash when I see him. Will defs recommend it to friends!

Had a horrible experience here and do not at all recommend. The establishment and barber were unprofessional and unskilled, and the visit was a complete waste of money. Bought my father a Luxury Lather King Shave that was anything but. Walter had apparently never shaved a man before in his life, and my father described it as an awful, painful experience. Walter was running 45 minutes late despite us making an early morning appointment and blamed it on him not waking up on time that morning.. The razor used was dull, and he was cut multiple times. His neck wasnt even shaved or touched, which pretty much defeats the purpose of paying for a shave. They then gave my Dad a beer, which Im sure was in an attempt to distract him from the horrible shave and appease him. I am very surprised at the horrible quality and skills of the services offered here given the fact that I had done my research and read overall positive reviews. Hopefully this truthful review can save people the money and pain we unfortunately had to experience. Weve tried to get in contact with the barber shop multiple times after, but havent heard back, as they only book appointments online and getting ahold of anyone via phone is impossible, which further speaks to their unprofessionalism.

I visited Boston last year from New York for a week and needed to find a barber, and found Social Club Barbers. Walter was very cool to be around and is just a down to earth guy, and the cut was really great. Overall I couldn’t ask for more that day and would highly recommend Social Club Barbers.

Very Very, poor. THE Gentleman who cut my hair was not friendly, and for 25.00 Even worse!!!! He did not even use the clippers, No eyebrows done, no hair on my ears taken care of. If you can afford to go to a barber and have him fix what: the SOCIAL CLUB does every time you need a haircut, THIS IS YOUR PLACE, Otherwise keep it Moving!!!!

I dont really leave reviews but after my trip to Social Club Barbers I feel I need to. This was probably the best haircut I have ever gotten! Walter was professional, down-to-earth, and extremely welcoming to me and my friend. If I lived in boston he would be the only barber I would ever go to.

Great haircut, unfortunately, a very unpleasant experience. I cant recall another time when I got my head sore after a haircut. That was 40 minutes of constant scratches, bumps, pokes and pulls. Yeah, I was silently begging for it to end. My scalp is red and I have scratches on my neck and forehead.As a minor note, that was the first time I was set staring at the wall for most of the time.

I was bleeding in 3 places after this haircut, from the straight razor. Very poor and painful technique with both razor and clippers. I was not welcomed to the shop - arrived to a locked door and a weird look when I tried to come in. Barber never even said hello. He was texting throughout the haircut.
