Ive been getting haircuts from Joel for years. Hes an incredible barber and highly recommended. A typical appointment will take an hour or so and youll walk away feeling like your best self. Step in and let him now I told you about it.

I used to go to him from the moment he started at Happy Barbershop, once he got his new place I followed him until his head became too big for himself. I scheduled a 9am appointment & I walked in 5 mins late Joel turns tells me hes unable to see me because Im late & since he considered me a friend he wouldnt charge me a late fee and of $10 the nerve of this guy mind you not only was he cutting my hair he was cutting my kids hair as well. Left him behind returned to Happys with my children.

I have been going to this place for about two years now and I am shocked to see that there are such high reviews. I have been in and out of this shop very frequently and nine times out of ten I am always disappointed. Why do I still go you ask ? Because it’s most convenient for my living quarters and unfortunately my job requires a quick clean up pretty consistently. I ask to have a clean up, I get a messed up line up sending my hairline back for years. I ask for them to take a TINY bit off of the top and they take two inches off my hair. I get cut at least two times almost every time I get my haircut here, constantly going home to wash the blood off of my face. There are maybe two Barbers out of the whole shop who can actually cut hair consistently. In their defense I will say pretty much all of east Boston’s barbershops are not great because they all work and rotate throughout the same shops... so if you find yourself not liking one barber don’t worry. The next shop you go to you’ll see the same barbers that you were trying to avoid. I hate to be so negative but I cannot continue to waste 30 dollars everytime I go there to have a halfway shaved face and a half the hair I’ve been growing for months ruined. Not bitter. Like I said. This is two years worth of giving the benefit of the doubt.

They have good barbers it like if you were in a pro barbershop.
