One of the best days of fishing I’ve had in a long time and that’s saying a lot. I am an avid fisherman who has chartered all over the world. These guys know what they are doing. The proper techniques, light tackle, fresh caught bait and a deep knowledge of the area.

These guys do it right!! Captain Will provided our family an amazing day on the water. Last day of our vacation and couldn’t think of a better way for our time here to end. My 8 and 7 year old boys and 68 year old mom and I went on a charter on 3/12/21 with William. We had a wonderful time. Living in NY we only lake fish. The boys were so excited they caught something within a minute of casting in their lines. Within the 4 hours they caught so many fish and William was so great with the kids. When the kids started to get restless he would drive us to another location. We caught several different types of fish. It was 100% the highlight of their trip to FL and are already talking about doing it again next year. I would highly recommend Flat Hounds.

Had such a great time on our half day fishing charter. We caught so many fish - snook, crevalle jack, lady fish and snapper. Made for a very memorable family adventure. Flats hound made it so easy to meet up and access charter. The Captain knew all the great spots and so appreciative of the time he spent showing our son some neat tricks and differences between ocean and fresh water fishing. He even had a couple dolphins follow the boat. Thanks again for such a great time. Our son can’t stop talking about the fun we had.

Let me preface by saying great captain and good guy. First day we had planned got cancelled a few hours before we were set to launch due to mechanical issues. Captain was genuinely apologetic and couldn’t have predicted the boats short coming. We rescheduled for today which was the following day and boy was it beautiful weather. Captain definitely knows his stuff and an expert in the area. He put us on fish with twenty minutes of stepping on the boat. Very personable guy who loves to fish. Between the wife and I we caught four species and 10 fish total. Captain was at a disadvantage with the tide and possibly lingering effects of red tide in the area. He always stayed positive and checked our “good time meter” to ensure we were not out having a bad time and still enjoying all the cool wildlife we saw on the water. Species caught : jack cravell; snook; mangrove snapper; catfish and plenty of dolphin and birds to see

Had a great time fishing with captain Sullivan. He’s an awesome person to be around, and put us on fish all day long. He’s the real deal, I’d give 6 stars if I could!

My family and I chartered a boat for my sons 20th birthday. We could not have asked for a better experience with Captain Will. He was awesome, made sure we caught lots of fish and he made the ride back to the boat dock a fun time. We were even able to capture dolphins riding along side the boat and jumping out of the water. This was an incredible experience for my wife and I. Very different from the fishing we do back in the midwest. This crew really knows how to find em too! We brought fish in, they loaded us with new bait. It was like clockwork. Even on a cold windy day they found a great honey hole - we even had dolphins haning out within a few feet of the boat. These are the guys you want to go on the water with!

We had a great day fishing with Captain Meddie! Caught Sea Trout, Bonnet Shark, Catfish, Lady Fish and Jacks! Also saw dolphins, manatee sea ray and osprey. The fresh caught blackened sea trout for lunch at home topped off the day. Highly recommended!

Meddie was great with the 4 boys, ranging from 6 to 16. He was patient, taught them a few things, and helped each of them reel in a few fish so we had a lot of fun. He was friendly to talk to and the boat was clean and comfortable.

Cannot say enough great things about Meddie or the amazing time we had. 2 friends from back home in Minnesota flew in and we caught 60+ fish in 4 hours - including time driving to our 2 spots.We caught mackerel, grouper, snook, jack, and 1 Goliath grouper, and came close to landing a 4-5 foot barracuda twice.If you are vacationing to the area or having friends and family visit this is the spot you need to go. Can’t imagine it going any better.

Fantastic experience with both Meddie and Will. Our only goal was to hit whatever would bite both inshore and off across two days, but other than that, we let their expertise guide us. Trip 1 was a half day with Will in Estero Bay hunting slot Snook and river Tarpon. Trip 2 was a half day with Meddie that took us from Sanibels coast hunting monster Tarpon to finishing up back in Estero on a hot Snook bite. Both of these gents were very professional, knowledgeable, personable, and ensured that we had a great time. To anyone that might be reading this, go with Flats Hound and youll be glad you did.

Fantastic experience an epic day!! I went with my family and we all caught an abundance of fish. A lot of snook, a bunch of red fish and a jack! Definitely caught over 100 fish. Captain meddie was a pleasure to be around and was extremely helpful. He provided us with a lot of knowledge and gave us all the right advice to catch as many fish possible. 100% would recommend. We were trying to go again a few days later but sadly the weather wasn’t good.

Wonderful family experience! I brought 3 kids and an adult that had never been on a boat in the ocean before. The youngest kid is on the spectrum and has sensory issues! The captain was wonderful at accommodating us and has a lot of patience! We all caught fish and had a wonderful time! We booked a morning half day fishing trip and Capt Meddy had us into fish immediately. It was pretty much steady action on snook, redfish, trout, Jacks and an occasional ladyfish. The trip far exceeded all of our expectations both for the fishing and the company of the Captain. He was totally on it, keeping us into the fish, untangling our lines and just making all of us feel real comfortable. I would Highly recommend this charter to anyone.

This was the best fishing experience I have ever had! I went out with my dad and this has been something he has always wanted to do. Safe to say we were not disappointed. Im an Estero local thats been on more than 15 different charters over the last decade and this one was by far the best. Captain Meddie is not only a great guide, but a great guy too! I took my cousin, dad, and brother on the trip (all of whom are experienced fishermen) we told Meddie what we were interested in doing and he put right on the fish. Cant wait for our next trip out with him. We caught: snook, jack, snapper, and I landed my first Tarpon! It was a great time, and you wont be disappointed!

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had on the water. So impressed by the equipment his ability to find fish AND most of all knowing what he was doing. Made my trip a memory for life! Not exactly the time of year to try to catch a tarpon but the first question CAPT Medey asked when I walked on the boat was what do you wanna catch? Omg he put me on 4 tarpon releases and @ least 20 Snook.. We started the day slaying Jr GT Jacks till my arms bled.. I am from Ocean City, Maryland 66 years old and consider myself a very accomplished watermen .. I WAS WOWED TODAY!!I also booked three more trips immediately after one of my best times on the water I’ve ever had, normally I come down here to Golf never picked the golf clubs up all I wanted to do was fish. We fished Thursday again in the morning and ripped them up... Had to get another heavy dose of Adrenaline rushes and releasing some beautiful bucket list fish again, I would never book a trip with anybody else and insist that my captain is Meddie!! I will be back for many years to come never have to make that trip to the keys I found my heaven here on earth.

We had a great experience with Flats Hound fishing charters. Captain Meddie will take you anywhere you want to go. We went shark and tarpon fishing. We caught a lot of sharks and jumped a huge tarpon. For a special treat on our way to the docks, Captain Meddie took us Snook fishing. After our arrival to the fishing spot, we threw live bait up against the island and didn’t stop bringing fish into the boat. I loved the experience and am looking forward to doing it again next year!

We had an amazing time with Captain Meddie! We caught a lot of fish and many different kinds too. Our son even caught a Goliath Grouper! We also caught snapper, jack, GAG grouper and snook! The day was a little chilly and rough but Meddie was very considerate and attentive to everyones needs. He is a super chill guy, very friendly. One thing, this may be typical but ladies be warned there is no bathroom on the boat. It wasnt an issue for us thankfully. :-) We highly recommend Captain Meddie and we will be back next year!

There were 5 in our group including my 10, 8, and 6 year old sons. We had an amazing time. Our guide was very patient with my boys and we caught an incredible amount of fish including red fish, grouper, jack, red snapper, and tarpon. He did a great job of moving us from fishing spot to fishing spot and keeping our poles loaded with fresh bait. This will be a day my boys and I will remember for a long time. It was a hot day. We were met in the morning by our guide, Meddie. We quickly made it to our fishing grounds and began catching fish immediately. Most notably, my son got a huge grouper, but we had to throw it back because this variety is protected. We caught many varieties of fish and had a wonderful time. Our guide, Meddie was helpful and was a big part of the experience for everyone. His wife had just had a baby a couple of days before our trip. We hooked into a massive nurse shark that we all got a glimpse of before letting it go. We took many pictures that we are still showing to friends and family. An unforgettable experience. Would recommend Meddie for the best fishing experience in Southwest Florida. We will definitely be looking him up again this winter for another excursion. We did a full day trip with Flats Hound where we started Offshore and finished Inshore. As visitors from Boston, some experienced with fishing and others not, Captain Sullivan was incredibly accommodating. We caught several varieties of fish offshore around the reefs and the boat was perfect to accomdate our group, at a variety of ages. When the wind and swells kicked up, he brought us inshore where the experience continued and the fishing heated up. Not only did Captain Captain Sullivan know the right spots and teach us the techniques of fishing in the Gulf and rivers around Bonita Springs, but he also appreciated the sport of fishing and was great company and conversation for the day. We highly recommend Flats Hound Fishing for your charter, no matter what time frame or experience you have in mind. We are looking forward to another trip with Captian Sullivan in our future!

My son and I had a great time. We caught 3 snook, 1 trout, 2 king fish and 2 amberjack. That doesn’t include the multiple time either the line broke or we just plain lost the fish. Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

Had an awesome experience with Captain Meddie. Unfortunately my significant other got immediately seasick when we were offshore about 9 miles out but the captain was immediately accommodative and was able to promptly bring us inshore after catching a couple sharks so that we could fish for some snook by bridges and docks. Did 4 hour trip in shore trip with my son and father in law. Wish I could of booked the 5 or 6 hour. Great ride, fresh bait, caught 4 different types of fish. Red snappers snooks jacks and a baracuda. Capt was great . Will book again for sure when down in the area again. Go for the jack its a great fight !

My wife and I fished with Capt. Sullivan for a half day last week. Meddie took us directly to a hot spot, overhung with mangroves interspersed among private boat docks. Great fish habitat, close quarters, not another boat to be seen. We fished with live minnows and caught a bunch of fish, several mangrove snappers and about 6 snook, the largest a 30 incher. Meddie effectively coached and encouraged us both. He was relaxed throughout, has an interesting background, is a good storyteller, and is very approachable. His boat is clean and shipshape, his gear is high quality and worked flawlessly. Weve fished with many Florida guides. Meddie is definitely among the best. I highly recommend him for novice to experienced anglers.
