If youre like me and have a lot of questions before even going to a Jeweler, let me just say that David Stern is very nice, patient and answered all of my questions over the telephone, which made me feel very comfortable. When you walk in, you automatically feel welcome and comfortable. I have four pieces of sentimental jewelry. Two pieces are my late mothers old-fashioned beautiful jewelry, my engagement ring I received from my husband 17 years ago. and a diamond pendent from my late mother-in-law. I needed to get a new appraisal done for insurance purposes. I called numerous jewelry stores to find the right jeweler that was both GIA Certified and reasonably priced. I called at least 12 or more jewelers from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach, FL. David Stern was the most reasonable, professional and personable. We set an appointment to have it done and he took his time to look at my jewelry, write the appraisal and take beautiful pictures of each piece of jewelry. His certified appraisal was professionally written. While I was in his store, I looked at a few pieces of jewelry and I was surprised to see the beautiful and good quality in design in the jewelry that he sells.. David is also very informative and he made some good recommendations to me about insurance companies that I was unaware of. I have a few pieces of jewelry that I want to have fixed and upgraded and I will be bringing my jewelry to only David Stern because of the time and quality he puts into his design and craftsmanship.

I had purchased an antique engagement ring (over 100 years old!) from a separate dealer and brought it in to David to be appraised and reinforced. Given the ring was old, the structural integrity was something that concerned me. I had a very enjoyable experience with David as he educated my Fiancé and I on every aspect of the ring. Paid David way too much for a custom ring (simple engagement ring) which I ordered and then confirmed a 2 week delivery timeline with him. He didn’t give me any updates until the day before the deadline, and refused to send me pictures of progress.He didn’t end up even making the ring I ordered, and was rude throughout the entire process (I ordered full platinum ring, he made the top setting part in 14k gold). It was difficult to get a refund from him, which I eventually got after going through my credit card company.He insulted my design choice, insulted the diamond I wanted set, and made what was supposed to be a fun, exciting process into a terrible headache which ruined my perception of local jewelers. He also called me numerous times and had his employee call me asking me to remove a 1 star review, even after I asked him not to call me.I wouldn’t recommend David Stern Jewelers to anyone.

So far I have come across only two fair places in Boca to sell your jewelry. One estate buyer and here. The difference is David is a gemologist and has a lot of inventory and I really appreciated his time and professional manner. His prices were more than double that I was offered anywhere else and right in line with one other place I would definitely go back to him because he is fair and honest. I feel he is more of an expert and has lots of knowledge he was a pleasure to work with and highly ethical. I had an old mine cut diamond that was a family heirloom remade into an engagement ring, and I took it to a jeweler who completely messed it up and set the diamond wrong and it fell out. They had also resized the band incorrectly. David is an expert. We went to him and he reset the diamond beautifully, fixed the band, and it’s amazing. David is the bomb! I have lived in South Florida for 24 years and have been searching for an honest and talented jeweler for almost as long. My diamond ring needed some improvement. The setting was old and the rhodium plating was starting to wear off. The baguettes on either side of the center stone had no sparkle to them. I told David I didn’t have a lot of money to spend right now and wanted to know if there was anything he could do to give my ring life again. Lo and behold he performed magic. I picked up my ring today and was floored by how beautiful it looked. He re-rhodium plated the ring, replaced the baguettes with super shiny round stones, lowered the center stone just enough to make the ring look twice as big! All this for an extremely reasonable price. I couldn’t be happier! If you are looking for an honest and experienced jeweler, David Stern is your man.

David was incredibly professional got my ring done ahead of schedule. I had been looking for somebody to make me an engagement ring for some time and felt pretty uncomfortable dealing with many of the jewelers I had spoken with. After seeing the reviews and reputation that David had online I decided to stop in for my engagement ring shopping. My girlfriend at the time was interested in yellow sapphires so I mentioned to him that thats what I was looking for and gave him a price range. He had a few in the store but said that he had worked with other jewelers in town for twenty odd years, and thought theyd have some great ones for the ring. I think that same day he had spoken to a friend of his in the business and sent me an HD video of a beautiful yellow sapphire that they had. I was able to send that around to people helping me with the decision, and everyone loved the stone. He got it from his friend the next day and I was able to see it in the store and purchase it. We had a bit of a special request of the band being gold, and he designed a beautiful ring accommodating that, and even had my fiances sister on the phone with us to talk through the design. Its worth noting that he only had a few weeks to make the ring itself since I wanted to propose on a specific date, and he got it done well early. The ring turned out to be a knockout and everyone loves it. Its worth noting that David went above and beyond to cut costs where he could, and has been prepared to make a few tweaks for my fiance when shes finally willing to part with it for a few weeks. Ill be doing business with David again for sure.

Got my engagement ring done here, it turned out amazing!

From the moment I walked into David Stern Jewelers, I was very comfortable and welcomed. Right now, due to Covid19 it can be difficult to find a jewelry repair shop that is open. I called a few places and was turned off because of the rudeness of whomever answered the phone. Not the case when I called David. Very polite!I have a 22k solid rope chain that is very important to me and noticed one of the links were broken off and needed immediate repair. I took it to David Stern Jewelers and was told that I could continue to wear my necklace, but at anytime it could break (22k is obviously soft) and my options were to solder it, or wear it until it breaks. I lost the diamond in my custom designed wedding ring when the setting prongs became loose without me realizing. I was beyond heartbroken and sad and it actually took me 4 years to look for a jeweler that I could trust to help me. My original setting was too high and I thought I would have to have the ring completely redesigned. After a diligent search, I found David Stern Jewelers. David was very welcoming and entering his store felt more like visiting an old friend than a stuffy, uptight establishment that most jewelry stores feel like (to me, anyway). David assured me that we could lower the setting and he had a beautiful pear shaped diamond that fit perfectly. And, amazingly enough, he had the new diamond in the new setting within 3 hours! Im so happy that I walked into that little gem of a store and met David! Hes the real deal!

Mr stern kept hiding my jewelry from view under the table and reaching into his pockets to the point where i had to leave as it seemed like a magic show was happening. The operation appeared incredibly shady.There was no tray and the jewelry went significantly out of sight.The second piece i was told was likely not real... i then went to another jewelry store and was offered 1500 bucks.

My wife had wanted her engagement ring reset for many years. I thought the old one was fine, but two months ago she finally convinced me it was time to reset it (don’t ask me how!). Through a recommendation we made an appointment with David. My wife explained what she wanted and showed him a picture. He explained that he could absolutely do it, but would need a little artistic license do to the cut and shape of my wife’s stone. The price was fair so we decided to let him handle the reset. About two weeks later the ring was ready and it came out so much better than expected. Even I was impressed. The ring looked like the original picture, only better (perfectly balanced). I visited David Stern Fine Jewelry last week for the first time. I chose this shop because they are one of two jewelers in the area that can service a Philip Stein watch. My watch crystal cracked and needed to be replaced. Originally the watch repair was my primary goal, however last week I lost a diamond in my ring. Amazingly I found the diamond and immediately drove to David Stern. I was assisted by an extremely competent woman. She handled both the watch and diamond repair. On Thursday, one week later my ring was ready. David Stern repaired all the loose prongs which are now smooth and the stones are secure. The knowledge and craftsmanship needed for this delicate repair was evident; this beautiful ring now looks brand new. I am thrilled with the quick turn around and level of expertise and highly recommend this shop.

I recently purchased a custom designed necklace from David Sterns jewelry boutique over at Boca Grove Shops on Powerline Road. I normally dont write reviews but David was so incredibly helpful in helping to orient me in terms of what I needed to think about in terms of weight, quality, style, types of gemstones etc. that I had to take a moment to let the world know. I brought in my engagement ring for a “second opinion” because when someone at the International Diamond Exchange resized my ring, it came back with unremovable residue under the diamonds in the setting, and denied that it was a problem. David and Colleen told me they would put it in an acid bath, and they kindly removed my center stone to avoid damaging anything. They placed the stone safely in a little pack for me to take home, which was so wonderful because it is a family stone. I hope to be picking it up soon. David said it would look as good as new!Because they were so kind, I went ahead and asked them about a design for my fiancé’s wedding ring. David gave me a great estimate and set up a plan for me that I can afford (I’m about to graduate college) and told me he would make it exactly to my specifications.
