The Y is a family affair everyone loves the Y.Why, because its clean, warm and friendly and safe.So much for the whole family to do with so many programs.The staff if top notch and the trainers and coachs are always ready to lend a helping hand.The recent upgrade to the latest machines make it a fun place to work out.The mens locker room is well kept and constantly being cleaned.If you are looking for a gym for yourself or your family this issomeplace to check out.

My wife and I enrolled our son in the Ys 1-3yo swimming class in September 2020. I highly recommend the swim program because the facilities are clean, well maintained, and my family had a great experience. What really stood about the program was our swim instructor that we got to know as Ms. Denise which Id like to give a special thank you to.Ms. Denise is very knowledgeable of swimming and teaching young babies and toddlers to swim. She was constantly engaged with the parent and child, was personable, and her swimming techniques are above reproach. I noticed my family and other families kept signing up for the same class once a class session was over. I know on our end it was because we were having such wonderful Saturday mornings. On a side note, Its funny, for the many classes we took during the past year, there was a Saturday or two where we had another instructor substitute for our class, but it was such a different experience. It was less hands on and not as a beneficial of a lesson to our child. After the class was over, my wife and I were saying to ourselves, we miss Ms. Denise and hoped to see her at the next class.If you enroll your 1-3 yo, I highly recommend the program and be sure to request Ms. Denise!

This is not a review of the YMCA as a whole but rather of Denise, our instructor for our mommy and me swim lessons. I started swim lessons 4 weeks ago with my 12 month old daughter. She already had plenty of experience going in and being around the water as we go into our community pool several times per week. I thought it would be a good idea to have our daughter take lessons sooner rather than later, because she was quite adventurous in the pool.After taking the lessons that we completed with Denise, my daughter is very scared of the water in a way that she never was before. I made the comment to Denise when we were at class that she was scared after having been dunked the week before. She immediately went on the defensive and was rude with me saying, “I’m not going to apologize for dunking. That is what we are supposed to do,” and “Coddling is a sign that something has gone wrong”. Throughout the lesson, she made several other rude comments.I don’t disagree with her that the babies should be dunked and that my daughter would get over her fear eventually. What I did not appreciate was Denise’s obnoxious attitude and comments.I was a competitive swimmer for over 10 years and coached high school swimming. I started swim lessons myself at 3 years old, which I now believe is a more appropriate age for babies to start swim lessons. If you do choose to do a mommy and me swim lesson, I would highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere or you make sure that Denise is not your instructor.

Absolutely experienced my top three disappointing moments while playing recreational sports. The staff was unprofessional in accommodating my team additional time to play during a forfeit because of their own selfish agenda and need to “get home early”. The YMCA had no problem taking my money to have me play in a league, but won’t allow the time for us “to play”. Extremely disappointed with the lack of understanding and professionalism. Not only would I never return, I’d urge others to give their money to mom and pop gyms/athletic centers within the community…at least there they understand customer satisfaction.

Love the swimming program directed by Ms. Nicol. My kids look forward to their swimming lessons weekly and enjoyed the Aquatics program over the summer. Ms. Nicol is an asset to the YMCA!! We are completely happy and satisfied with the program and facility.

Staff is very friendly, amenities are very nice, there are plenty of activities for all ages, family oriented, kids friendly. I mean, what else can you ask for?! We love it here!

We love the Y preschool. Its truly a blessing... I cant imagine a better home away from home for my little guy. Thanks to Mrs. Patty and the whole preschool staff for always taking great care of our family.

The preschool is one of the best and i couldnt recommend it enough to parents trying to find a safe and educational place for their little ones. My daughter has been in the preschool program for over 3 years now and couldnt be happier. Shes learned spanish(we dont speak it at home unfortunately) and theyve taught her to swim and read/write. Shes excited every day to go to school and talks none stop about how much she loves her teachers and friends. If i could do it all over again, i wouldnt hesitate.However, in terms of the aftercare program, id avoid it all together. Definitely not worth the money. Your kids wont be looked after by anyone older than 16 from what ive witnessed and if your kid has any sort of problem, the children watching over them are quick to dismiss them and tell them to deal with it on their own. would never enroll another one my kids in this program again. Very disappointed.

I love this place so much! My family and I moved to south Florida in December of last year and we are only 2 mins away from here and it has helped us so much! My kids are always doing something, and now my husband and I can work out together because of the child watch they offer!! I would highly recommend this place for anyone, but especially families.

Everyone on staff is so helpful. Even the Cleaning Crew takes pride in their work. Mens dressing room never has any odors or any debris on the floor. Classes are high-spirited, and instructors are obviously enjoying what they do. The front entrance is always got something going on, and there is some new program to join, like boots and butts. They add classes when the needs arise. Ive been a member for over 12 years, and this facility keeps getting better every year. Thank you all for your commitment to Body, Mind, and Spirit. Jim Hansen

Prices are great! However, I would not recommend their swim classes because the swim supervisor, Nicole, is the worst. Completely unprofessional and horrible communicator. She doesnt reply to your email if she doesnt agree with you on something and simply drops the subject. Z E R O leniency.

I am a visitor from Iowa, it is a very clean facility and they are very welcoming.

Beware of the car break ins here. They smashed our window on a Saturday morning at 9am and got away scott free. Come to find out from the detective, this has been going on for awhile and they choose to do nothing to increase security. The detective said it has been going on at ALL of the YMCAs and they are not helpful at all in their investigations either. Thank god none of my family or anyone was hurt but this is supposed to be a safe family establishment. They didn’t even have the ability to view the cameras because the one person who is capable wasn’t working until the following week. If you have sports practice on the field during the week, there are NO BATHROOMS unless you walk all the way around to the front of the building. I wish they would take the steps to make this place better for everyone!

We use the Y for daycare. Its clean, the (EXCELLENT) staff takes great care of our 1 year old, and the manager of daycare (Patty) is EXCELLENT. Basically my kid is everything to me, and I trust them with his saftey.

Still the BEST AQUA THERAPY IN PALM BEACH COUNTY AND AT THE Y IN BOYNTON BEACH. Frieda and Sandy are superb therapists. I have been working with Frieda for 10 years. Without her help I would not be walking today. There simply is nobody who can compare!

Incredible preschool with tenured teachers and staff. Reggio Emilia, child-led curriculum that allows the kids time and space to explore and follow organic learning opportunities through. Unparalleled communication and attentiveness. Highest recommendation!

Suspect the pool had typhus and malaria in it. Cant prove. Cancelled over one month ago and still drafting the amount out of my account. The showers are also walled off, and I was warned of them selling peoples information for fundraising. Not recommended. Before covid it was a very good club.

The YMCA has been a god-send for us. The staff in the child development center are amazing! My kids get so excited when I tell them it’s time to go to the gym. The facility is always well kept and very clean. The front desk is beyond friendly. And we have had great experiences with the sports programs as well. I recommend this YMCA to every mom that’s within driving distance of it!!

19 years ago my son had his first swimming lessons at the Y when he was 6 months old. We had such a great experience that we decided to join the Y as a family and became fitness members. I have been trained by many knowledgeable and professional Trainers. My son enjoyed playing in several of the sports programs when he was younger... baseball, soccer and basketball where we met so many nice families over the years. When my son was a new teenager he volunteered for 2 summers in the LIT ( Leader in Training) program. He then became employed by the Y and was a Y Bike Instructor. Currently, he has the good fortune of being a Camp Counselor and will work alongside a very caring, talented, dedicated and hard-working staff. We are so blessed to be a part of this Community!

I would recommend this place for other families. And I do often. It has a few things I wish they would address, but as a whole, the family experience its great! We use their work out facilities, my kid is in their sports programs, and we have even been to camp a few times.

The YMCA of Boca Raton is amazing. During this pandemic they are taking safety and service to the next level. It is very appreciated.

YMCA Boca doesnt believe in protecting members from cell phones exploding in the sauna. People ask management for a sign no cells but management doesnt seem to find the need for it....Wondering if a class action would convey to management they are liable and its their duty protect the membership? They believe a general sign saying no plastics or glass in the sauna can do the job. Well its not working and its not clear to people at all....The facility is beautiful the cardio machines all new and modern, excellent weight room, and certified trainers, its safe. . If you like to take lessons do it at your own risk most teachers are not certified and it shows....

This has been my first experience at the YMCA. I brought my daughter for swim lessons and it has been wonderful! Alyssa is so good with her, my daughter absolutely loves her and can already swim underwater after a short time. Nicole, was so nice and helpful getting us signed up and accommodating us. We did a group lesson and are currently in a private lesson. It’s the place to go for swim lessons. great instructors, staff and prices.

I’ve been taking swim lessons with Jeff and it’s been great. Jeff had me comfortable in the water very quickly. I felt very skeptical that I can learn... I’m happy to say my skepticism turned around within the very first lesson. I like the locker room as it has both steam and sauna which is part of the reason I joined. There is plenty of exercise equipment and tons of classes to join in. Also, I like the quiet area where you can sit and read, eat or get some work done on the computer. I feel excited to go to the gym and it’s been awhile since I felt that way. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I’m very glad I joined. So far it’s been really a great decision for me.

Not because I’m a member, but it is a good place for my entire family to be, to spend sometime working out, dancing, swimming and a lot more. The after care program is awesome and my kid loves it. I’m thankful for everything.

Always very clean. Swimming lessons are great and their pool is very clean. The swimming director Nicole is super down to earth and the best infant-toddler teacher Alyssa loves her children. I couldn’t be happier.

I joined this gym when my baby was 8 weeks old because the child care center felt a lot more safe and welcoming then the LA fitness that I belonged to. Even though the LA fitness is a 3 minute drive from my house I drive 25 minutes to come to this gym. The staff is wonderful and so friendly. There are plenty of classes and the gym is always nice and clean. My child, whos now one, LOVES going to the child care here, I couldnt imagine a better place to leave my child. Santra and the rest of the staff in child care center are amazing, friendly and warm. I look forward to my daughter growing up here. I would/do recommend this place to any parents.

This is my first “Y” experience and I couldn’t be happier! I love the staff here and the variety in classes to choose from. The youth athletic programs are also very organized and enjoyable for my family. It’s a great place to come and get your fitness on!

I had a great experience stopping in at the Y! I must say, Yeny at the front desk is a stand out team member! She made my quick experience coming to the Y amazing! Her also being able to speak two languages really helped out when it came to communicating and asking questions about the facility! She is fantastic and offers exceptional customer service from the short time I stopped in and I definitely can see myself becoming a member sometime soon!

The entire YMCA team are incredibly friendly and approachable. The new Masters Aquatics program run by Zoe Da Silva is our favorite workout by far. One hour of intense swim training with drills. Awesome!

Unfortunately the YMCA continues to require masks for everyone including children 2 and up despite the fact that there is no state or local mandate for masks. It is clearly a political corporate decision as they were quick to require masks even before the county even made it a requirement more than a year ago. They make no exceptions. If your 2 year old has difficulty breathing in a mask, too bad for you. The only choice they give if you dont want to wear one (or do not want your children to wear one) is to cancel your membership, which I did because there are many other gyms with great childcare in the area that DONT require masks for anyone. #byebyeY

Awesome all around facility! Thanks to the indoor heated pool, I have been able to consistently keep my young son in the pool every week. My wife has been able to get in shape thanks to the fitness classes the Y offers. My wife drops our 2 kids at child care and then she is able to get a great work out. Our 4 month old daughter is well taken care of there. She gets plenty of attention and the staff even changes her diaper when necessary. It has been a great experience for all of us. The towel service for the pool and gym is a great feature that we love. We were also able to partake in the Halloween party, which was a lot of fun for the kids. Love it!

We’ve been members of the Y for 2 years and counting, it’s been a great experience so far my daughter loves the preschool she wakes up on weekends and asks if it’s a school day that makes me so comfortable and relaxed to know she loves it and adores all her teachers. Miss Patty does an amazing job ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we appreciate the staff and all they do to create a hospitable ambiance. I also love the activities/events (Halloween, breakfast with Santa etc 👍👍👍) . We take swim classes and we love the instructors and the improvements on how they convey information regarding the performance and reminders, however I didn’t really like the dance

My daughter has been going to the preschool for about a year now at the YMCA preschool. She absolutely loves it! The teachers and staff are so caring and patient that she doesn’t even want to leave when I pick her up! There’s no better feeling than knowing your children are happy during the day! Thank you YMCA

I came here on vacation and was warmly greeted by the staff. The facility is updated and in good condition. Their swimming pools were down for yearly maintenance but it is understandable. The locker rooms were nice and orderly. I will come here again.

Were new members, but so far were all very happy with the facility! The mommy & me enrichment class is great & we look forward to starting our mommy & me swim lessons. The cardio equipment is clean & they offer cleaning wipes all over the workout area. The bathrooms are clean, too. Their snack machines are full of healthy snacks for adults & kids alike.The staff is friendly & helpful. We havent used the child care yet (my son is young & would freak out!), but I peeked in & spoke with a caregiver & she was very sweet & helpful. The child care area looks well kept & they were deep cleaning one area so its obvious that they keep that area very clean.I look forward to watching my little one grow up here & to having healthy family time at this beautiful center!

Me and my family joined the YMCA in the beginning of 2019 and our lifestyle has changed for the better ever since. I am pleased with everything YMCA has to offer to my family including all the different activities my children can engage in. The youth basketball coordinator was also the referee. From the beginning he complained about our team having too many good players. Because he couldnt break it up he took it upon himself to unfairly referee each game. Our team was able to prevail but unfortunately couldnt overcome his and unfair rulings on the final game. Even the parents on the other team came over and mentioned how unfair it fair was.Ultimately the only people who suffered were the little 9 in 10 year olds. Luckily there are so many better programs in the area. I hope he sleeps well at night knowing that he ripped off a buncha kids.

The Youth Programs are top notch! Thank you for always allowing my daughter to be herself in a safe, caring environment! The entire staff treats her with the upmost respect, and continue to play huge part of her growing confidence and social skills development.

My children are in the After-School program and they love YMCA! They spend part of their afternoons doing homework and then they have fun doing other activities such as sports, art, etc. When we (my husband and I) have to pick them up sooner they always complain because they dont want to leave. That, definitely is a good sign!As a member, besides having the benefit of paying a lower price in the After-School and sports program (which is a great deal), I could say that I enjoy a lot the classes they offer (Zumba, Pilates, HIIT, etc).

I joined the Y last year and my family and I are very pleased. The staff is always friendly and the classes are top-notch.

My 5-year old son LOVES it. The staff is very friendly, the facility is safe, the activities are fun, and its a one place for all family members.

We are no longer a member but we enjoyed the time we spent there. My kids were part of the swimming team and they loved it. A lot of activities to do there, including spinning class, dancing classes, sauna...

The facility is clean, the price is fair, the staff is pleasant and the equipment is in good shape. The hours of operation allow no excuses to work out.

I think this is a great, safe and happy place for children for aftercare from surrounding schools. The entire staff is wonderful.

We have had a family membership for more than 4 years. We enjoy the weight room, classes, indoor pool, camps and my son plays on the basketball rec league. Staff is hands on, premises are always clean and hours of operation are plentiful. I highly recommend the YMCA of Boca Raton.

Terrific place for healthy family living

Was a member for awhile, but didn’t renew bc they had a kids Halloween party last year and I forgot the invitation so they wouldn’t allow us in, even though we were members. It was ridiculous.

We have been members of the YMCA in Jacksonville and Fernandina Beach so we were excited to see there is a Y near where we will be staying. The thing is we have called and called and can’t seem to get anyone to answer and for several days! What gives?!? I’m just saying the other two Y’s someone always answers....

Had kids on aftercare until March and cancelled everything ... even we are not using the club for the last 2 months they still charging our CC. Went there to ask to get this fixed and they just dont care about!!!! Had to file a dispute with my CC because the financial did not want to help AT ALL!!!!! Hope never step in this place EVER again!!! DO NOT RECOMEND YMCA to anyone. Stay away from them or pay your menbership without giving your CC otherwise will be a headche!!!!!!!
