This gym just got an A from me today. I went to the LA Fitness in Boca Raton on Technology Way today and found most of the free weights organized and in the correct spots! I knew at that moment that I was going to have a good work out. It is frustrating to go to other gyms and find the gym dirty and disorganized. I have been going to LA Fitness for over 10 years and seeing the weights organized to where I can easily find them was appreciated. I am sure the other members appreciate this as well. Special Thank you to the Manager Todd, and also to Aaron and Henry for helping organize the weights the night before.

Great facility. Great classes. Great equipment and multiple locations. You will love this gym! There are inferior gyms such as Athletica. You are secure with LA fitness!

Never been one to write reviews but couldn’t ignore this any further. Been a member of LA fitness for many years, and this is one of the worst locations I have ever been to. The only positive is that the staff is very pleasant and kind. Now for the negatives .. where to begin ? MAINTENANCE! This place needs maintenance badly. Over half the machines are broken or have some damage, MAYBE 5 of the 30 treadmills work, punching bags not hanging, leaking roof + the worst smelling locker room on earth. This location severely lets down the LA Fitness reputation and needs a ton of upgrades. Long time supporter and lover of LA Fitness but will be considering another gym if no improvements are made, as there’s too many other high quality gyms in this area. Please address this! Thanks.

Almost no maintenance here. I’ve been here since they opened. Gone downhill fast. It’s a real shame. Lots of ripped vinyl. A few machines need new pulleys. Carpet is beyond cleaning. It needs to be ripped out. Unless somethings done soon, I’m out. Lots of new gyms in the area with better upkeep.

Absolutely no maintenance. Three arm machines have been broken for months. Machines missing the pins. At least half of the treadmills are down. Do not get me started on the disgusting carpet. I will be transferring to a gym with better upkeep.

I have been a member here for a few years and the indoor cycling classes are great! The gym is a good size and the machines are well maintained. Friendly staff.

This place has really gone down hill: machines need repairing and replacing, roof is leaking all over and the locker rooms are filty with the worst smell ever!!!It really does not look like an LA fitness . . .

They keep the place clean overall, but honestly they need to fix the sauna… is impossible for it to always be broken and claim it’s been scheduled for maintenance which it’s been over to weeks now and it’s been a month of me coming to this gym. Also .. we come to the gym to get rid of negative environment, I can’t comprehend why they keep the negative news 24/7 we have no other option but to stare down or the TVs. Please change the channel to a movie or music videos or simply healthy food channel idk! Anything else please !!We can do better LA fitness is believe in you ❤️

The machines are very old, a lot of them have tape because the vinyl is ripped off. They dont have a smith machine you can use to do hiptrust either, so if you are a girl working out by yourself, it is going to be a challenge. They do have some cool machines for the glutes that not all LA Fitness have, so thats a pro.

Lets start with saying this has to be one of the worst LA Fitnesss I have been to. The equipment is disgusting, rips/tears, broken/missing equipment, lack of pins to use the machines (cant select weight without pins) and the dumbbells section is a joke. The other week I saw a man screaming at the top of his lungs while he proceeded punch a dip machine than he began to front kick a chest cable machine over and over again.. What did the employees do.. turn there back to him and pretend to work. Glad you guys care about the equipment that we pay to use. This gym doesnt care... if they did they would have seen that he was literally scaring your younger members. They care more about people sitting on a counter in the locker room than the quality of there gym and the equipment in it.. Cardio equipment blows, The upstairs cardio is alright 5/10... but downstairs we have 4 stair steppers, 2 of which will be broken on a weekly basis. For a LA Fitness in Boca Raton, I would expect the quality of the gym to represent the quality of life in the surrounding area. According to the quality of the gym right now the surrounding area must be a landfill. 10/10 would not recommend.

Went to this gym tonight. It’s an absolute mess, almost nothing is in its proper location. It’s basically an Easter egg hunt looking for weights/equipment. Get people on the floor to ensure organization & cleanliness since some gym goers are incapable of picking up after themselves.

Everything from the staff to the members, to the equipment and classes, to the cleanliness and just the overall atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the trainers are top notch. So happy to be a member!

I am sitting in The parking lot of this gym right now after i have been instructed to come in person during COVID to cancel my membership in person.As a single mother, obviously I need every penny in these uncertain times.The GM (David) refused to cancel my membership because he has no power to do so. Only the Opps Manager Jamal can cancel memberships Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm (during the hours when MOST PEOPLE need to work). They refuse to cancel it over the phone during these hours.I actually need my job and cannot come into a gym to cancel a membership during working hours.The corporate office never answers their phone and I am stuck paying on a membership that I cannot use.The genius working the font desk refused to give me the managers name when I asked for it. So is this type of treatment of their clients normal?I have been working in customer service for over 10 years and have NEVER heard of anything this disrespectful. SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIX THIS POLICY. Never signing up for LA Fitness again once this is resolved.I will continue to post this review until someone of real authority contacts me to cancel my membership.

Patrick was so emphatic with closing hours, that he saw it fit to not only repeat it as I entered the shower area from the pool, but as he clearly saw i was still just washing at 7:02 pm. Guess courtesy or a little respect isnt what he was brought up with, but harassing a customer isnt acceptable. Next time, if its 7:00 pm should a customer encounter such a rude fussbudget troglodyte?Everyone else is great

Very crowded and the salesmen are really rude. They dont enforce social distancing or make people wear their masks.was heavily considering on getting a membership but after todays extremely disrespectful voicemail I will be staying with planetfitness blackcard. Their cadio equipment is never broken and every gym I have visited was extremely clean. Their staff has manners! Dave was his name that left the voicemail.

Summer 2016. There really isnt much to complain about concerning this LA Fitness location. It seem clean to me and the people are pretty nice. Im really surprised at the negative reviews, and they all seem to be from folks who like to be rude when they do reviews. I also want to say that the sales manager named Jason was very nice to me as was the sales person named Angel. I signed up for 3 years upfront after investigating carefully. No credit card kept on file and no personal training sales pitches. A big plus for me was the fact that I can use my LA Fitness membership anywhere in the country while Im traveling on business.

Edit: I had originally rated this gym 3 stars. Been going for a year. There is zero maintenance going on here. There is a bunch of equipment that is broken. Cables dangling, seats ripped, pins missing. Most mornings when they open at 5, there is no one at the front desk. After seeing other LA Fitnesses in Palm Beach, this one is hands down in the worst condition

Good gym, a lot of well maintained machines and clean. Wish it was 24/7 so I can get more workouts in with my schedule, but other than that 5 stars

The best thing about this location is the fact that the janitors keep the gym spotless. Other than that the mask on while walking around the gym floor is not enforced and the machines are very out dated.

The gym is just okay in every way. the best part of the gym is the raquetball court if you are into that but i would say that it really has the worst customer service i have ever experienced at the gym. the sales people are rude and pushy and you will never receive anything close to a smile when you walk in-if you are under 25 it could be a solid gym at a solid price

I really enjoy going to this gym. The staff and the gym members are always friendly and they have really great trainers here as well.

I go there almost everyday and I always get a good workout. It hasnt been packed at any point so I would definitely reccomend this gym if you want to maintain social distancing. Pretty much all of the equipment is functional unlike other LAs Ive been to.

There are the only fitness club with racquetball courts. It is a 2 level gym with treadmills and ellipticals on the 2nd level with TVs.

Tasha at this club is absolutely wonderful!!!!! She is ops mgr and in the midst of this huge corona mess was able to fix my account today June 8 from Feb/march which needed fixing there was a billing problem but she fixed it and was so polite.....it would be easy not to be they are bombarded by members calling, all with problems. HURRAH!!!!!!! she was great I am so pleased

The gym itself is decent for the price, but gets ruined by terrible clientele with no concept of hygiene or personal space.

Happy with this gym. Lots of equipment and machines. Changing facilities could use an overhaul and better maintenance. They just started hiring floor employees. Could use one more dual adjustable pulley machine. Classes, spinning, squash, basketball, and swimming. They also have a kids area that’s open at certain times. Management is friendly, helpful, and direct.

I went in to check out the gym for the guest week, and the membership staff was incredibly rude and borderline creepy. This specific membership staff member (David? Or Adam?) would not stop asking if, when, and where I moved from/currently live. He additionally repeatedly asked “for how long I would live in Boca”? I was visibly uncomfortable and expressed that I would prefer to check out the gym instead of talking about my residence. He continued to insist that if I “really moved to Boca”, then I must get a membership that day. I, in turn, got a membership at the much more appropriate and friendly Lifetime Fitness. Avoid the pushy, creepy male membership employees at this location.

LOVE all the staff here, so kind and polite even though the guest can be so rude! My husband and I come every weekday with the savage 5am crowd. This crowd loses their mind if they aren’t on their ellipticals at 5:01. They act like it’s Black Friday and waiting for the doors on a great sale to open. BLESS. Eye roll eye roll.

Great facility, love the parking garage. Hated that they are the only LA Ive been in that doesnt have heavy bags. Thats what I visited for and ended up having to change that days focus.

This is one of the best locations. The equipment and place are in good condition Also, you can get into the pool without having to pass through the mens locker room. I consider thos a BIG plus.

Ive workout in almost every gym in the USA. I rate 4 stars because I love the variety of machines and racket ball court. The pool is 3-4 lanes fairly clean as well. This gym has sauna and hot tub but no steam room. Over all very clean

I went in with a friend last night to check it out b/c its right next to my new work. I had every intention of discontinuing my gym membership and moving to this gym. But i was told by less than helpful, dismissive attendant that Id have to pay a $15 fee to check out the facility as my friends guest! Thats ridiculous.. What a terrible way to drive new customers away. Ill stick with my gym for now thanks.

Sauna has been down for the past two weeks.

As a 66 year old ‘grandma’, I was hesitant to work with a trainer and be pushed to a point where I would get hurt. Denis, my trainer, is very attuned to my outside limits and stays in the safe zone. His knowledge is very broad and his explanations of the equipment and their related working muscle groups are very complete and beneficial. It is a pleasure to have him as a trainer. I highly recommend him.

Descent gym. The machines are pretty good. Some LA fitness are cleaner then others. Definitely worth going. They give you lots of option. It’s a big franchise.

Looks like it needs an good cleaning the smell of body odor was present.

Strategically placed locations throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. It allows me work out when Im on the road and have some time to spare for a workout.

Well, the staff is nice. Good people for the most part. But lately it becomes more and more clear that the corporation doesnt care about maintaining the gym well. The roof has more leaks than swiss cheese and its almost raining inside when its poring outside. Also the scheduled for service labels seem to just get rotated from one treadmill to the next ever other day and then there are plenty more that are broken but not labeled as such.

Its an inexpensive gym. You can find a little bit of everything, there is a pool, a sauna and a spa. They also offer some variety of classes like yoga and spinning.

Great clean gym with good spirited classes, I took a spin class taught by Ron, who was the best spin instructor Ive ever had and Ive been cycling for years. Looking forward to going back

I just recently moved from new York and I gotta say that I will make this a permanent gym for myself and recommend it to friends. This location is amazing and it all starts with the staff, from managers to class instructors, they are all very well mannered and trained and above that, they make it a clean and fun place to work out in. Katie the manager showed made me feel at home. The wait on machines are not long and the locker rooms plus the pool is so clean and nice. Thank you to the staff, Ill see you again tomorrow

Overall nice gym. Friendly members and staff especially Alberto. There is a cardio floor which is great but it was lacking TVs on main floor by the stair masters. I requested a TV for the specific location and Alberto was quick to submit the request to HQ. Sure enough it was approved! This benefits EVERYONE. Thank you !

Clean and well set up. Very similar to the LA Fitness I used to go to in Orlando. The parking garage underneath is a nice touch. Was pleasant to workout in during the weekend. Went today (Monday) and it was quite busy but tolerable.

A ton of space, which is nice, but the 5pm to 7pm time slot is packed. And somehow still does not have a person that polices/cleans/straightens up after the knuckleheads that just leave random weights everywhere - or rack up a machine, do their thing, then walk away, with ALL the weights still on the machine? Seriously? Am I supposed to sit there until you may or may not be back and then ask if you are done?? THEN, if you are done, rack your weights. Lets put someone there that polices basic gym etiquette. Its not hard, every other gym has one.

THis Gym is great, they have very nice equipment considering it one of the older locations, what I especially like is that they have an old school hack squat machine which I NEED for leg day, equipment doesn’t stay broken for very long, if ever broken. They are very on top of their game! Sauna gets extremely hot as well for those who need to sweat out a ton of water In a short time, very nice club, as well as majority of members are very friendly and helpful with training tips!

Prefer this location to other La Fitnesses for the equipment. This location has many different machines and exercise equipment compared to other local LA Fitnesses. Over all the gym is kept very clean, machines are fixed if broken promptly, and staff is very friendly. Also the nearby area has much to offer for your post gym shopping needs and food requirements

Stay away from this gym. Came in tonight with my boyfriend with a guest pass. They did not want to let me in. Then the general manager came over and started to use aggressive language towards me and my boyfriend. We were almost taunted for not having the money to sign up today. Which was the reason for the guest past we got. We were going to get my membership added to his this weekend, once we got paid. But instead we were mocked and treated so poorly. I honestly thought la fitness was better than this. The general manager does not belong in the customer service industry or sales. The way that man speaks to people is unacceptable. I will be reaching out to corporate because of this matter. No woman should be treated that way by a man, I was honestly scared. Very very aggressive. And he kept laughing at us along with his coworkers. I will never be back here. I will also make sure that no one I know comes here. And then on the way out the guy at the front desk flipped me off with both hands in the air, thinking I would see it. Whoever raised that man, must be super embarrassed for the immature boy he has become. Horrible experience

This location is my favorite. 4th LA Fitness location I have been to. This one is more modern than some. Weekdays it gets a little busier with the after work and college crowd. Still plenty of space to get a good workout in.

Very close to nearby businesses and has equipment in good working order. Nice that they have a hot tub, sauna, and Indoor swimming pool. Not too crowded at lunch time.

Dont sign up with Alberto for Personal Training and expect any kind of result. You will be given contradicting measurements by him and his staff (measurements arent standardized and its more or less a bait and switch to create the perception the training is working, when it is not), and contradictory exercise advise. Avoid Alberto at all costs, unless you are looking to be insulted and flirted with (the only thing Ive actually witnessed him do in the 3 months Ive been coming into this location).If I could give negative stars, I would.

Im visiting from NJ. Ive used this gym every day for about 5 days. This LA Fitness is convenient, the hours are great, the pool is clean and accessible. Ive used some of the equipment, and Ive taken Spin classes. Cant ask for more. The equipment works well, the Spin instructors (I took two classes, with different instructors) ran a GREAT class, and lap swimming in the pool was not crowded. The locker room was never crowded. By the way, every morning Ive seen several cleaning people working. Ill be back the next time Im in Boca.

The place is clean and the machines are pretty well kept. Some of the staff are friendly. Most of the members are not. Many people hog the machines and weights with little consideration for others. Theres not much etiquette by the users as Ive experienced in other gyms.

Wellington LAF has good equipment, and is a nice environment in which to workout. The pool area could use a minor black mold cleaning with bleach (mostly on the inner top edges of the pool). The emergency rear-door (pool area) has a door latch that sticks open, and the door-alarm does not sound when random non-paying people enter and exit through it whenever they want. This poses a safety concern for everyone. I hope management fixes it this time.

I’m a member at the boca east La Fitness and love the personal trainers. Dean really pushes me and brings results. Would highly recommend!

I like this LA Fitness best of the ones. Ive seen in South Florida. Same approach, but cleaner and more upscale.

I go really early in the morning, so its not too busy. They keep it relatively clean, but compared to every other LA Fitness Ive been to, this is one of the better ones. The machines are maintained and no major issues with any of them. Locker room is nice and updated.

What makes a gym great is the equipment, facilities but most importantly the customers.You deal with the employees once or maybe twice a year. You can live with once in a while bad customer service!But if the gym tenants are low class, don’t rack their weights, hog the equipment and smell funny...then that’s a “cheap” gym. Just look at yourselves before you add a review is all I am sayin....

THE BAD REVIEWS ARE ALL TRUEI spoke to somebody at the front desk Wednesday letting them know I just moved to the area and interested in joining a gym. Upon our conversation they told me they offered a free trial pass. I just went into the gym and spoke to two people who would not let me in because they said they did not offer that and then told me I was wrong and lying because it was not in their system. Needless to say I went down the street and went to Lifetime fitness who allowed me to try out the gym and ended up becoming a member there.I thought all of the poor reviews on yelp were an exaggeration of circumstances but I can see now why they are all true.

By far the worst of this franchise I have ever been to. The staff do not monitor whether people are leaving weights all over the floor. Dumbbells are always in the wrong place. It’s beyond packed all day long, to the point where it looks like they exceeded their membership threshold. No one ever re-racks weights, and it’s not clean. I can’t believe anyone would pay $40 a month for this terrible place. Block off two hours for your one hour workout since it’s unlikely you will be able to get on any equipment at all without waiting a long time.

I like it because it has the racquetball courts the chick in the front is really cool and theres a lot of hot babes myself being single I would definitely date one of these chicks chicks from Boca are so hot.... and there not stuck-up thats what I love about them ladies😉 as far as working out I like it:-)

This is one of the best local LA Fitness gyms. Clean, great equipment, and convenient from I95. This gym also has lots of covered parking out of the sun. Great classes, good locker rooms.

While I got off to a rough start at this gym Jason the GM really turned my experience around!!! Hard to find great service these days. The equipment is good and there are no waits to get on a machine.

Very bad customer service. Unfortunately, I enrolled in a one year program and I will have to see them for 6 more month. The new personal trainer manager Nikki has very bad customer service and a rude attitude. There is nobody there that you can make a complain as the other manager Jason is rude too. The other staff people is nice, but the management is the worst.

If you’re looking for an LA with real equipment for training look no further. By far the best equipment of any LA in the area “old school” type equipment but all in good condition. Staff is friendly even on weekends which is rare.

A few days ago my daughter got her membership revoked when she was working out with her coworker from Publix, due to them receiving multiple noise complaints. I’ve known her coworker for years, and he’s a sweet boy with autism. Occasionally he’ll have a mild outburst but I don’t believe he would have made enough of a commotion to warrant their gym memberships being terminated! I’m left the assume that this gym is just full of discriminatory, close-minded jerks who only want “normal” people in their club, unfortunately. This establishment is truly sickening.

Best LA fitness from fort Lauderdale to Lake Worth. And everyone there is HOT. Would give 5 stars if LA fitness can do something about naked old dudes walking around the locker room 😂

This place is beyond GROSS!! It is dirty, it smells as soon as you walk in and they have old outdated equipment . And all they want to do is sell more memberships . No one cares about taking care of the members they already have . And this is Boca! Why not a nicer La Fitness for this beautiful town . I have never seen anyone cleaning the bathrooms, showers or locker room area nor do I smell bleach or cleaners as if they did. Even after some recent renovations still not a good place to go . Not worth the 1 star but I had to check it to post . Enough with the highs fives from the sales people when you are working out !! please please please stop!

The regular gym I go too, they dont have the most advanced tech, by the place is very clean and nice. They have a decent locker area with a sauna that is usually very crowded. They have a very nice swimming area where they tend to teach toddlers how to swim and a nice biking class area. They can get very very crowded at times though especially at around 5:00 PM. Even in the morning they are pact and its very hard to find space, even with the car garage. Speaking of he car garage I have seen homeless people sleep next to the elevator making it a bit uncomfortable. All in all not a bad place to hit the gym, although there are other LA Fitnesses that are much better ;)

There is no customer service - air conditioning is always broken, 5 treadmills have no fans working and no mangers work on weekends! Happy to take your monthly payments but dont put any money back in to maintain facility. Takes a LOT to make me write a review - Im totally done with that place!

Personal trainer wasted our time and had clients during our scheduled hour block. During his session with the other clients, we interrupted him twice and each time he told us to just do some cardio for 20 minutes for a total of 40 minutes. He showed no regret for wasting our time since he probably wasnt getting commission from our free trial appointment.I expected way more professionalism from a supposedly nice gym. Never going back to this location.

The staff here can talk you into anything.*** PLEASE SPEND 2 MINS TO READ BEFORE YOU GO JOIN THERE ***Initially I just went in there to sign up for my monthly subscription which was 40$ and there is this ‘personal training manager’ called me out of nowhere and he asked me if I wanted personal training, I was hesitant at the beginning but he said he is going to make payment plans for me and he said he will offer 8 classes for 259$ and then an additional 4 classes which is included.I was never told anything about the repetitive monthly subscription of 160$ at all (my bad I did not read the agreement which was 20 page long and I had put my initials there ).And the subsequent month I was charged 160$ and I called the gym the same day to cancel the subscription. They initially said they will call me back but they didn’t and I went to the gym to ask about that. He said he can’t do anything about it and I’ll have to call the corporate.I asked him to explain how the cancellation procedure works andHe shouted right in front of everyone at the gym saying “YO, CAN YOU TELL THIS GUY I CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS”. Seriously I have been in USA for three years now. He is rudest guy I have ever met.(P.S. He is so kind and motivating when he wants you to enroll in the personal training sessions, PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR IT, he talks so fast, you will be forced to enroll in it, I know I was stupid to fall for it).I’m not writing this review because I lost 160$ with them. But they treat you so bad after you sign up.Please be careful and read all the agreement before you sign up and only if you really want it. (AGAIN DO NOT FALL FOR IT, There is no going back once you sign up).I know this single review is not going to affect their business by any means. But I just hope no one faces the same situation again.Please advise your friends as well. My friend faced similar situation and he wasn’t offered refund as well. The subscription cancellation process will easily take take a month until they charge you for the subsequent month.He is always with his phone (even during the trainings).

Too few machines of the popular types. There are some types of workout machines of which theres only one, and those are some of the most popular ones.
