Tiffany is the worst barber I have ever had. She said she’d take off half an inch off the top and left almost nothing. She literally left a cut on my upper head and the haircut was painful. The fade she gave me was awful as well. Complete opposite of what I asked for. She couldn’t even make my sideburns even. The owner Jay is very friendly but Tiffany is definitely not a good barber. This was the first time I felt pain during a haircut. I don’t know how she still has a job.

Tiff saved my hair from all those great clips runs. She knows what shes doing and will make sure you like it. Jay and Tiff made the place warm and comfortable. Don’t waste your money on other places when you get quality and great service here.

The owner, Jay, makes you feel comfortable and at home as soon as you walk in the door. It really is a unique experience. He gives great conversation and I feel like he genuinely cares about me as more than a customer.Although sometimes he can be behind on appointments, making me wait past my scheduled time, I have no complaints. And, in my opinion, the occasional wait is not a problem. Going to Hoosier Barber Shop can even be a highlight of my day, which makes it worth it to me.I highly recommend!

Great hair cut Great environment

Got exactly what I wanted out of a haircut. A clean line, an incredible fade, and a small part for some flare. It’s scary going to a new barber, but this place did me right.

Tiffany and Jay are the people who you should book. They provide great service and makes sure youre walking out looking your absolutely best! However, that isnt to say the other barbers arent great I just have had the best experience with these two.Depending on the type of haircut, expect to pay at least $15!

Unfortunately have to leave 1 star. Note: Jay did not cut my hair. I couldnt understand what the gentleman who cut my hair name was through his mumbling, so I dont have a name, after asking twice. Asked for a medium bald fade, specifically with a straight razor, he said no problem. I ended up with a low, #1 fade, with distinct lines in it. I had to get to a meeting, so didnt have time to ask for a fix, not that I wanted him touching my hair again anyway. One of the worst hair cuts Ive ever gotten. I had to fix it myself when I got home.Maybe it was a bad day for him, but I definitely wont let him cut my hair again. Jay was very personable and friendly, my only complaint is with the gentleman who cut my hair.

Jay is one of those old school type barbers. He takes his time with you. Makes sure everything is tight. Best cut Ive had in a long time. Also good with beard trims.

After just moving to Bloomington from Baltimore MD I struggled for a couple weeks as to where to get my hair cut, the boom!! Hoosier Barbershop is the best! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by some of the most friendly and professional people I have ever met! Ask for Brad!

Overall great experience; Jay got me in last minute for a cut, and Tiff did a fantastic job on my hair. The atmosphere provided great conversation and the price is unbeatable. Highly reccomend for a great cut, while supporting a local business!

Awesome place, even better people. Professional, yet I never leave without laughing. Everyone knows everyone. The haircut and face trim is always top notch, from the top of my head to the bottom of my chin.

Oh my God, this is quite a story worth noting. There were two Haircutters on the premises. One of them was a woman. She was the one who cut my hair. Now, she was very talkative and thats fine, but if it negatively affects ones abilities, it should be discontinued. I dont know why I had remained silent during such a massacre but, I digress...The designated hair stylist began by placing some unknown product thoroughly through my hair. Then she styled it with the part on the side of my head and began to cut. I felt as if I had turned into a bizarre Christmas present. For some reason I held my breath, so to speak. By the time she had finished her masterpiece, it actually looked acceptable. I gave her the $15. for the cut, plus a two dollar tip.Heres where the story comes to a timely end. After getting home, showering and waiting for my hair to dry, this lone hair stylists art deco experiment was on exabition for the world to see...

One of the top 3 best places to get a haircut in Bloomington. The service was very professional the Barbers shop was very clean it was well lit a little bit hard to find however much worth it.

My fiance received the worst haircut today by Brad Fair. She showed him a picture of a pompadour and got something else entirely. The back is extremely short with the front being long and uneven. He claims that it was because of a cow lick ( which is not true considering she has received this hair cut numerous times before) but it looks like it was just an attempt to explain away his messup. What she received looks NOTHING like the picture. My fiance is too nice to say anything and just cried on the way home. I do not recommend this business, if zero stars was an option, I would have chosen it.

Everyone was really nice. But we took a 4 yr old for his first ever haircut and the person just wasnt child friendly so a bit disappointed.

I havent been to a barber in many, many years. I had a situation that I needed to look the best I could so I started looking for a barber. I found hoosier barber by chance and Im glad I did. Healthy family feels when you walk in the door. Everyone had smiles on their faces, made you feel at home, and wait time wasnt long. I took my 3 year old in for a cut and he was very comfortable with mr. Jay cutting his hair. I have found our barber and we are happy with the service we receive. Cartoons were even put on for my son to watch. If you havent stopped in, watcha waiting for. Get a fresh cut and made to feel welcome and at home.
