I had a wonderful experience staying here. You seriously will not find a more professional, courteous and friendly staff anywhere in Bloomington. Their attention to detail is always appreciated. From making making sure the grounds are kept in wonderful shape to quickly answering questions in a friendly way, they are the best team! 2 people who especially deserve recognition are Cassandra and Jake . Cassandra in the office is a joy! Disney could learn a lot from her customer service! And Jake who had helped us find, and showed us all the value that Woodbridge had to offer! 5 stars

I just moved to Woodbridge. I generally like this place but there are some major dissatisfying factors - new movers REALLY need to check this before move-in.(1) No washer and dryer - these should be installed from the fist day of move-in as the contract says. But they are not. Management said the installation is getting late, but there is no estimated delaying time nor they wouldnt tell me how many people in the waiting list before me (if there is no ordered waiting list, how do they distribute these? And if there is, why dont they just tell me how many people in the list before me?).(2) Not properly renovated rooms - I found some hardware nails on the carpet in the first day of move-in. Also, some large holes near pipes and power outlets connected to the walls.Other than these, its a nice place to live in, not much to complain.

Amazing place to live in Bloomington! The area is conveniently located by College Mall is very nice with lots of places to walk. Ive rented 3 other places in Bloomington and living at Woodbridge has been amazing, I have no complications or complaints. But most importantly...the staff are all super friendly and attentive to tenants needs. Weve never had to wait long for any response or help and today when maintenance was backed up, we had a big wasp in our apartment that snuck in through a broken screen. So I want to give a special thanks to Cassandra who was working the front desk when we called, and who was brave enough and willing to take the time to personally come over and handle it for us. A small act, but it really helped us and put us at ease. Thank you so much! I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking to rent in Bloomington.

They are very hard on their employees. They worked me 70+ hours a week during the turn season(moving people in and out getting apartments ready). As soon as it was over they let me go so I could not receive the bonus. Gene Glick was the creator and owner of this company and if he was still alive today he would have not let his employees endure this type of work environment. The Maintenance supervisor has less experience than his own employees. I have heard negative things said by all of my coworkers about how the current maintenance supervisor is less qualified for his position than his employees. The maintenance supervisor has less experince in management and number of years working turn season than his employees. The maintenance supervisor also disregards OSHA standards and puts employees in possible dangerous situations. get the job done we will worry about it later attitude. Not an attitude a good boss or manager should have. Safety should always come first.

Ive been living at Woodbridge Apartments since July, and I must say, the staff is what make this stay so enjoyable. I try to be an easy resident, but also tend to have lots of questions and hey, stuff breaks sometimes (read: I break stuff sometimes)! Whenever I have to call or email the office, the everyone is so patient, reassuring, and prompt to respond.I have to give a huge shout-out to Amanda, who (time and time again) comes to my maintenance rescue, and takes the time to explain things to me so we can hopefully avoid it in the future. Shes always incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Since I work from home, I really appreciate how respectful of our space she is, and that she knows just what to do to get the job done!Woodbridge, you have an amazing maintenance staff, and we greatly appreciate all the hours they put in to keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and overall an enjoyable place to live. My wife and I have lived here since 2015. This place is by far one of the best places I have ever lived in terms of management. Although the living space and neighborhood has been an experience with zero complaints, the distinguishing characteristic that sets Woodbridge apart from other apartments is the management team here on the ground. Jennifer Huntzinger and Jake Long have long been extremely responsive, kind and flexible in their ability to take care of our needs here at Woodbridge. They have always quickly taken care of maintenance issues and frequently send out updates about activities going on in the community. For example, when the city was performing work on the nearby water utilities they would consistently inform us how they would be effecting us with several days notice to prepare. It appears the city has finished their construction some time ago, however during that time we were given up to a week notice, sometimes more, to prepare. Thank you Jennifer, and Jake. Moreover, during the outbreak of COIVD these two have gone above and beyond my expectations in their ability and willingness to make accommodations and to work with me so that managements goals can be met while reducing their impact on us living here. This has been so very important to us and we can not over express our gratitude in their efforts to take care of us in this way. On several occasions they have been flexible in their approach to meet managements goals and we love them for it. No doubt taking care of such a large complex can be daunting at times. However, I would never be able to tell by my interactions with them. They are both so very kind and they continue to impress me with their agility. It feels as though I am the only person they have to worry about. Jake and Jennifer are remarkable people and they make this place a joy to live in. Thank you Jennifer. Thank you Jake. The positive influence you have made on our life during these challenging time is unforgettable. Sincerely, Sean and Stacy.

Overall, I actually really liked Woodbridge. The apartments are older (and a bit overpriced for the city) but the community was nice and maintenance was always responsive. The reason I am giving them such a low score is because I feel they are unfair when it comes to move out. Now, I didnt have the apartment professionally cleaned but had left it in solid condition. Upon moveout, I was charged for things like replacing the stove burners and for general cleaning that any apartment would have to take care of during the turn process to prepare the apartment for a new tenant. In addition, the maintenance staff who did the walk through told me Id have a chance to dispute the claims with the staff. When I went to talk to the staff, they said they didnt handle the disputes and it all had to be taken up with maintenance during the walk through. This seemed like a shady way to lock people into the claims with no workarounds.I had a few other friends who lived in the complex and experienced similar issues upon moveout. The place itself was cool overall but these shady price-gouging practices are not cool, especially given that most people living there were grad students.

When I went to the website to apply the apartment was not there so they had me apply for a different apartment and was told when they went through the application they would switch it to the available 1 bedroom. Day later no response so I call and talk to another person and they look me up just to find out that there were no available 1 person apartments. Overall disappointing that they would make me go through this process and not check their systems to not make me apply as well as not giving me confirmation that my application would be pulled. I had read reviews that their staff did not communicate well and this being my first experience was extremely sad. Hopefully no one else has to deal with this. Lived there for two years. Things got progressively worse over time. Oven wouldnt work properly, but they kept fixing it instead of replacing it. When fixed it would barely get above 200° F. Our cat scratched a small spot in the carpet and the repair quote was $140. They tore out the entire carpet, most of which was perfectly good (less than two years old!) and want us to pay over $700. I dont recommend renting with Woodbridge Bloomington. My girlfriend and I lived there for 18 months and it has been a disappointing experience all the way.First, their apartments definitely need some updates for the base rent they charge (close to $900 for a 2-bedroom). Our A/C and heater unit was the loudest ever, which we discovered the day we moved in because, of course, the leasing agent didnt let it run when we initially visited. We could barely hear other when it was running. Some appliances should also be updated, especially the oven in our case, which was old and not cooking efficiently anymore.Secondly, the relationship with the leasing office have most of the time been a source of conflict and stress. The staff lacks in competency: they either dont know the answer, or give you one but it isnt clear at all, or another employee gives you a different one the next day. There have often been unnecessary misunderstandings regarding rules governing our lease because because they didnt understand much about them, as well as duplicated e-mail exchanges because the same information was requested multiple times due to misalignment among staff members. Communication was overall really difficult with them, and the property manager was hardly accessible.I want to highlight two situations in particular that illustrate the laborious relationship with the Woodbridge staff:- Two months before the end of our initial 12-mo lease, we have been asked to let them know our plans WITHIN 24 hours, otherwise they would start renting out our apartment. We ended up renewing for 6 months, accommodating them with the start of the Fall semester at IU, but after arguing with the property manager to move out on a Saturday instead of a weekday, as they wanted us to, because we both work full-time jobs.- Another time, following the visit of the maintenance staff for the furnace maintenance, we got charged $40 on our rent bill for the replacement of an apparently-missing fire alarm, which never went missing to our knowledge. After invoking a mistake and claiming a proof from the office, we were treated as liars and were told that the only option was for us to pay. This showed low ethics and a very unprofessional behavior toward their tenants.Again, do yourself a favor and look for another residence. For the same price range you will get a more comfortable apartment and a much better treatment from the property staff. The reviews from other previous tenants speak for themselves.

Not a tenant, but a visitor. The particular apartment I spent time in is very nice and spacious. I am very impressed with what is included for the price, but I also come from a higher priced city! The main reason I am giving 4 stars has to do with the quality of the place. There are cracks in the walls and ceiling, the tennis court is overgrown, and the pool chairs are dirty. Ive lived at Woodbridge since June of 2018 after I found myself scrambling to find a place to live when my house sold faster than I anticipated would happen. From day 1 I have found the office staff and the maintenence crew to be friendly, genuine, personable. Before moving in I had several questions and they always responded swiftly with true answers to my questions. Ive not had many maintenence issues with my place (that in and of its self is a plus!), but when I have the issue has been addressed in a very timely fashion and done well. For the age of the apartments and complex; as well as the construction materials used on the buildings, I think that Woodbridge does a wonderful job of keeping the place looking nice and issues addressed. I walk my dog every morning throughout the entire complex and it is a rare occasion that I see trash laying around or overgrown shrubs, grass, etc. This winter the crew has kept up with snow removal and salt spreading. As I am usually walking around in the early morning, I appreciate this very much.I agree with one of the other reviewers that the heat/ac unit is loud enough that I have to increase my TV volume if both are going at the same time...and I do find that curious...but its not a malfunction of the system...just the system itself. That said, I rarely hear my neighbors beside me (I have one on either side) or below me... Ive always felt safe in the area and walk it frequently.I have enjoyed having a unit with a fireplace and I use it all of the time. The dog park was really nice when we had the extreme cold and my dog needed some exercise but we didnt do our usual walk. I also enjoyed using the swimming pool in the summer. For me what I needed/wanted have been met beyond expectation... those are location, interior and exterior (Ive always been a give me the basics kind of person; I dont need bells and whistles), and will any issues that come up be addressed in a timely, friendly fashion. Thank you Woodbridge!

First of all, when I was moving out, they told me I was not allowed to attend the move out inspection. I asked them what time they would be completing it and they did not email me back until after they had already finished it. Secondly, they called me asking for my return address so they could send my move out inspection to my new address, and so I gave it to them over the phone. After 45 days I had not received anything in the mail from them, I thought that was a little weird, but I never got a chance to contact them about it. Just a few days ago I received a letter from a collections agency saying I owe them 1000$ for damages! They told me they didnt have my address on file to forward the inspection, even though THEY called me asking for it when I moved out. They sent it straight to collections, they made no effort to contact me or anything even though they have ALL of my contact info. Trust me guys dont rent from them. Theres a reason that they have such low ratings. Also, I have contacted the office about my issues, and they were unable to offer any assistance. Beware of Woodbridge apartments. The apartments are fine, but the management has been TERRIBLE during the move-out/lease-end process. They are really nice to you while you are living there, but if you have to move out, thats the end of it.While we actually lived there, things were fine. The maintenance staff in particular were always friendly and helpful. Our only complaints were that the building was not terribly well insulated and thus quite drafty in the winter. And our air conditioning unit broke down repeatedly yet the management never saw fit to replace the unit and just temporarily patched it together every time it broke.Due to my getting a job in CT, we moved out at the end of February this year, two months before our lease was up.. We paid them for the month of March, even though we wouldnt be living there, and we paid them promptly. Mind you, we also told them we were leaving as soon as we knew (mid-January), kept them in the loop regarding our exact moving date, and did a lot of hard core cleaning to leave the place in really good shape. Also, when we had renewed our least the previous spring, we made Woodbridge fully aware of the situation with my being on the job market and warned them that we would likely have to break the lease. They said that when the time came there was stuff they could do and not to worry. Well, that turned out to be false. After over a month of no communication, we received a curt email asking for the April rent plus late fees. NO prior warnings or reminders, even though they knew we were no longer in the state. When we called to ask about it and find out if any arrangements could be made, we were treated rudely. We might as well have vacated with only 24 hours notice and left the place a mess, because we were treated about the same as if we had.

I am torn about Woodbridge apartments. I love that it is close to campus, but still a quiet place and so pretty. The maintenance team really is the best! They deserve a bonus for being so kind and considerate. I also dont mind the price to a certain degree. There are some things I cant stand about this place though. I pay extra to have the loft with the cool skylight, but the skylight is covered by this gross cream colored plastic so I cant even see out it?! Half the point of the skylight is to be able to see out it and enjoy the view. What is with all the inspections?! You definitely arent paying for privacy, because the company is in your apartment about once a month. Ive never lived somewhere that needed to be in my apartment so much. I hate it. And they only give you like two days warning even though you know they have had it planned for like a month. Also I live on the second floor in a section of apartments that has the stairs outside. Who decided it was a good idea to have super smooth concrete steps outside?! I slip everytime it snows or rains. There is no way to get traction on them. I know these are little things, but they make sense. I want to be able to see out the skylight Im paying for, I dont want strangers constantly in my home, and Im tired of tripping on these ill-designed stairs. I love my apartment, but I feel like Woodbridge only does what they have to do. They dont have our best interest in mind.

I have to say Im surprised by some of these negative experiences. Not saying they werent true, but can only say that I had nothing but a great experience with Woodbridge. My family and I lived there for three years 2009-2012 and have nothing but great things to say about the office staff (particularly Megan) and the superb maintenance staff. I have dealt with slumlords in Bloomington (Stay FAR AWAY from Deer Park Management) and Woodbridge was fair and honest in all my dealings with them. It is true that the apartments can be drafty and that the increase of water and trash was an unfortunate cost increase. But lots of apartments are moving in that direction and thats not really a fair criticism of Woodbridge. Its clearly stated in the lease that they charge for those things, so if you can find a place that doesnt then good on you. But its hardly fair to criticize Woodbridge for that. Overall, I would highly recommend them!

I honestly believe most reviews on here are out of data. The housing market in Bloomington has changed drastically. I see a lot of reviews that say this place is too expensive or something like that. From what we experienced, this place is VERY reasonable for bloomington, and they allow you to bundle a lot of your utilities. I personally had a great experience with them. Yes maintenance would almost always take a few days to fix something, but that is par for the course when it comes to large apartment complexes. This was a great place to live with lovely neighbors. I am a current resident. The first year living here was great. The grad students were quiet and polite. I got along with the office staff just fine. It all ended when we moved out of our first unit. The move out inspection was at least 30 minutes long. The maintenance man wrote every single thing that wasn’t above perfect on the sheet. Mind you, the move in inspection was literally SECONDS. We were charged almost $100 for a cracked refrigerator drawer that was cracked before we moved in. The refrigerator was so old I didn’t think it was a big deal to report it when we moved in. Other appliances were updated so I assumed the office knew about the crack. I explained over and over again that I didn’t want to pay for damage that I didn’t do and they agreed they wouldn’t take any of my deposit until we came to an agreement. Not true. I had to confront them about taking the money for it and after going back and forth, I finally got my money returned. I knew after that incident, I burned my bridge as far as a relationship with the office staff and for awhile they made it known. The current unit we are in is falling apart. The patch work on the ceiling from a previous leak is dreadful. It has leaked and cracked multiples times with no real solution. There is a huge draft from the windows as doors. All of the cabinets and tile floors were sticky when we moved in. Eventually the floors had to be stripped after complaining to the staff. The carpets were brand new so why I would have to complain about other floors is beyond me. I couldn’t use any real cleaning agents when we moved in because I was 6 months pregnant at the time. To top it all off, the neighbors we have now are loud and so rude!If you want an apartment that is falling apart, overpriced, constantly has maintenance men that smell of cigarettes and walk all over your carpet with muddy shoes, an office staff that has different answers per each member, and be charged for damages you didn’t do, then here is your place!

Ive been living in Woodbridge for 5 months now, and can say I am very happy here! The management is very responsive (they did go through a period of back-logged maintenance as some reviewers noted, but they caught up and are very good with emergency maintenance!), theyre helpful and very reasonable and fair. The house is old but in a reasonably good condition, and price-wise I think its good value. Theres a great sense of community here as well, encouraged by the management, and numerous shared facilities (my toddler loves the play ground!).Also great was that I was able to arrange the apartment while still living in Europe: my lease was signed electronically and everything was ready to move in when I arrived Stateside.Minor criticisms (and reason I didnt rate it 5 stars): the kitchen is small, the HVAC is very noisy, the apartment can be drafty and in winter some parts of the house are simply too cold to spend time in (unfortunately that includes my toddlers play area :/ ), the back door doesnt lock from the outside (annoying, as I keep my bike on the patio, but now I have to go around the building to enter the house from the front & lock the doors). Also I hate that the pool closes in early SEPTEMBER, when we still had 90+ temperatures up to November. This is apparently a thing in Bloomington, but it sucks.

Despite high rent, water/sewage/trash charges, terrible management, I still wanted to give at least 3 starts for Woodbridge apartments considering the good maintenance and pleasant atmosphere. However that pleasant atmosphere is long gone now. What I am seeing everywhere is dog poop. I can see at least 6 -7 piles while walking to the house from my car port. That is so unhygienic and unpleasant too. I know they allow residents to have pets and thats ok, as long as they keep the neighborhood clean. If the residents dont do the cleaning they are supposed to do, then the woodbridge management is responsible for taking care of it. Thats why the management charges a certain amount from the pet owners. The sad thing is this is becoming a huge issue but the management stays calm and has ignored the issue. I am saying this because this is not something new. This has been going on for more than a year now. Please dont consider living in Woodbridge if you are concerned about your hygiene or if you have small kids. The environment would not be ok for them.

Basically, I am not fond of the apts. I lived there for a year, and everything except the maintenance kept bothering me. First of all, any secretary in the office had a poker face, treated me (maybe any residents) as nothing, and was really reluctant to help you out with everything. Second, they dont include the charge of water, sewer and trash in their rent, which costs a lot ($80 or so per month), while almost everywhere else do. But they still raised their rent (the rent is already relatively high among the apts in the same area) while almost everywhere else didnt. Third, you have to use gas for cooking and air conditioning, which also cost some especially in the winter (over $60 per month in the winter). Also, using gas to cook can make the kitchen messy easily and hard to clean. The best thing may be the maintenance, with nicely smiling staffs and free repair of most of the appliances. The environment around the apts is also nice and comfortable. If you really want to live there, dont choose any first floor, because the people there, those Chinese bully boys and girls in particular, dont care others well being at all when they are stepping on the stairs!

Throughout my time at the apartments, management have been a nightmare to work with, including towing my vehicle while I was on vacation because my plates were expired without bothering contacting me costing me hundreds of dollars. Learn from my mistake and dont consider renting here.

Way overpriced. Where they get you is the extra costs like $50-$60 for water every month, $30 for trash, plus they increase rent every year. Also at the end of your lease they try to find everything wrong to keep most of your deposit, the only place in Bloomington this greedy that Ive lived at and Ive rented at 7 different places.
