I find it oddly funny that it took me “moving out” of this beautiful place, 4 plus yrs later that is to write a review.Despite what some of the comments read re: management, I’ve been here throughout some of that transition and I have to say, it has all been pleasant. Whenever I had to address an issue, fairly less…they were attentive, professional and handled it right away. I rested assured that we are a priority, this community and that they are always striving to better this place that we call/I called home. I will miss it, the cleanliness, the friendliest neighbors, the amazing staff at the lease office and all the amenities offered were all exceptional.So if you were to ask me if I would ever live here again? I would and I highly recommend it. I loved that it’s close to Highway 494, convenient for my commute, Starbucks around the corner on industrial drive “necessities” ha! France Ave and Normandale lake/highland park, just feet away.

My girlfriend and I moved into the Covington this year and have been nothing but impressed with the quality of service, as well as the quality of the property itself. The pool is an awesome place to escape, and other amenities like the heated garage, car wash, and pet-friendly environment are just added bonuses! The Covington is the best! They are very responsive and keep the building clean. The community is very pet-friendly. My dogs favorite thing is to stop by the office for a treat and pets.

Moved into the Covington in 2019. My husband and I broke our lease to relocate to Florida. When we moved in, the management team was very attentive and responsive. They have a new management team now and they are very unorganized and no attention to details. No one ever has a definite answer to anything and the team is never on the same page. They charge you for carpet cleaning on top of a cleaning fee, to repaint the walls and if you mount TVs and or pictures, they charge you to patch up the holes and repaint the walls. I have lived in multiple apt buildings and none of them charged fees like this one. At the end of our move out, we were refunded a whole $4 and change from our deposit. To add to that, the majority of the time we lived there we weren’t able to utilize amenities due to covid but still expected to pay full cost for everything. The vending machines didn’t work most of the time as well.

I’ve been a resident for 5 years and have nothing but positive feedback. Great pool area, clean gym and very attentive staff. They have a quick response to all work orders and there has not been a day that has gone by where I have not seen the cleaning staff diligently cleaning with care.

I lived here temporarily as part of a work relocation package. The building was very well maintained & my apartment was beautiful. Staff and neighbors were all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the freeway noise, which was audible even with windows closed - granted my unit was facing the freeway.

My boyfriend and I love The Covington! We lived here in 2016 and left because we moved across the country. We came back to Minnesota and the staff at The Covington welcomed us with open arms! Weve been here since February and its truly the best apartment complex Ive ever lived in. Somehow the noise within the apartments is very minimal (great sound proofing!), there are a lot of amenities, and the staff is absolutely wonderful! Every single person that works here goes above and beyond to get to know you personally and make sure you are comfortable and happy. You always get fun conversation and you never have to ask them twice for anything! I love going down to visit with them... plus they have amazing cookies that are just the cherry on top of good company. ;) The complex also offers free massages (AMAZING), free yoga classes, and has a pool and 24 hour gym. Honestly from the staff, to the building maintenance/cleanliness, to the location of the complex, this place makes you wonder why people even want to own their own homes. Check them out! You will NOT regret it.

Rude staff, poor maintenance, poorly made (terrible sound proofing), even there vending machines go out of order, and they choose to take away accommodations like the grill without giving any notice! I’ve lived in over 10 apartments, this is the only bad experience.

Lived here three years. The quality of the staff has dropped significantly over the years. Give it a year or two before moving in before the staff turns over again.

Wonderful staff who accommodate in any way they can. Maintenance has always been more than willing to help out whenever I needed them. The units are modern and great quality. The amenities are wonderful and definitely well taken care of. I love the community that there is at the Covington! A very welcoming place to live!

We moved into the Covington 3 weeks ago and we have been incredibly impressed with the staff, the cleanliness of the building and our unit. Our unit was perfectly clean when we moved in and everything was in perfect working order. The management staff is really just incredible. I have never had such a great management team anywhere I have lived. Every single one of them makes you feel like your are the most important person in the world. The maintenance team has been great when we needed a couple of tweaks. I could go on and on about how great our experience has been so far.

We have lived here almost a year now and have been extremely happy. We spent many months looking for the best place to live near Minneapolis and chose this place because overall it had the best offerings. Rent is not any less than what we found other places but the biggest difference was that we got a den/office room, instead of just one bedroom for the same price. That right there was what sold me. Also free storage unit inside right down the hall from our apartment was a huge plus.All the staff here have been great and very accommodating. Even after just one interaction they all knew us by name somehow, very impressive. They have been more than willing to work with us and have helped us out beyond the expectations I had for an apartment management team. Each month they have hosted an event with free food and drinks which has been a great perk plus a way to get to know our neighbors.We almost never hear noise from around or above us so the walls must be insulated well. The apartment unit overall is good with new appliances and quite spacious.Overall this has been a wonderful place to live and the location is great. Right off 494 (which unless we have our windows open we dont even hear traffic), it makes it so easy to get anywhere quickly. Plus there are places near by that we can walk to. Working in Eden Prairie, the drive to/from work is so short.My only complaint is that there isnt a hot tub.

The worst apartment1. What was really annoying were the loud noise from the freeway. The windows can reduce noise from the freeway. But you have to leave it close 24 hours 365 days. Its terrible.2. Old building structure. You can hear footfalls and other movements from above clearly.3. The previous manager is very nice. But, the new manager is em..... kind of mean.

I truly cannot say enough great things about The Covington. I have lived here for almost 2 years and my boyfriend was one of their first residents. The grounds are beautiful and clean all the time. I love our apartment layout with the big kitchen island. The bedrooms are a great size and the bathrooms are big! There are so many little things I love about this place. From the resident events to the pool to the yummy cookies in the leasing office! The ONLY thing I would change about this place is the color scheme. I think the lime green needs a face lift ;-)What I love most about this place is the Staff. They care so much about their residents and everything they do is always with us in mind. They make it a point to get to know you and make you feel valued. I would recommend the Covington to anyone!

My husband and I have been renting for most of our marriage and this is truly the nicest apt complex we have ever lived in. The staff, and maintenance crew are on top of it. Maintenance requests are usually taken care of in a day. Beautiful pool and courtyard and immaculately clean. In addition to this, they have the best buy out policy on their leases than anyone else I had called across the twin cities and I called a LOT of places. They have offered us a one month courtesy extension now that we are buying a house and that saved us a buy out fee and was the most cost effective way for us to move. We couldnt ask for more.

As a long time resident of 4 years I cannot begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed living here. The building, grounds, and amenities are wonderful. What really sets this place apart is the management. The Director, Assistant, Staff and Maintenance are the greatest people. They really do care about the residents in every way. I personally want to thank each and every one of them. I highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a luxury apartment. You will be very impressed. Definitely take a look.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! Of all the places I have lived, this is the only place that truly felt like home. From the tenants to the staff in the office this place is super friendly. Any where in the building you will be greeted with a smile and a hello and if you are lucky an eager dog to say hi to as well (this place is the most pet friendly place I have ever lived in and it is seriously amazing). This is the only apartment where I have truly gotten to know my neighbors and the staff because of how friendly every one is. There are also monthly events for the tenants and they are always fun to take part in. There is yoga every Monday night and free cookies in the office when needed. The only reason why I am leaving is because it was the right time to get a house. Otherwise I would of never considered leaving. It will be hard to leave the Covington and I can honestly say I will miss it a lot.

The Covington is a warm and inviting place to call home. I have had very good service from moving in to transferring apartments to day to day interactions. The resident events are super fun! Ive been at Covington for 18 months now, and the experience has been nothing but wonderful. The management team, maintenance team, cleaning team, have set a high bar for others. Heres an example - the hallway light by my apartment door went out about a week ago and before I even had a chance to put in a maintenance request the manager called me and said part were on order and it would be fixed as soon as possible. WOW!! Thats never happened to me before, or to anyone else Ive mentioned it to. When Ive told friends that story, they have said Are you kidding me! There are also many fun, creative, imaginative, events year round for all age groups, and even pets! Yup, even pets!! Now thats a place to call home.

Love, love, love The Covington. Living here has been stark contrast from the tiny, expensive, and terribly managed New York City apartments Im used to! The staff is just incredible - they go above an beyond for their residents. I recently left a corporate job to pursue my art business and they have been so supportive of my new venture, offering to help in any way possible to get the word out. Truly amazing. The maintenance team is top notch (my dogs LOVE them), the building and grounds are spotless, extremely dog friendly, heated underground parking, 24hr gym, beautiful pool area, excellent location (easy access to major highways, shopping, parks, etc..) the apartments are spacious with a balcony + storage space... I could go on and on. I highly recommend The Covington!

I looked at countless places leading up to moving into the Covington. I found the staff here super friendly. You can walk out the front door and be one with nature with the nearby Normandale Lake. Theres also a nature preserve that is just a five minute drive away. You have countless nearby restaurants. Ive been here over a year and I have never seen a cop on scene one time. This place really is a great little secret in a perfect spot in the south metro.EDITThis WAS a great place to live. Not anymore. Avoid this location due to new management.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! Great location, easy access to 494 and 100. I’m going on 3 years living here and love it. They are incredibly dog friendly which was a big draw for me originally. At first I was hesitant given the price, but honestly, it’s been worth every penny! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. They always have a smile on and frankly, I’m confident my dog likes them more then she likes me (she even knows what “lets go to the office!” means). The maintenance is great and they really keep the place clean and welcoming. The gym is great, lots of exercise options and open 24/7! I highly recommend this place 😃 🐾

Ive never loved living anywhere else nearly as much! Some of my favorite things about living at The Covington are:-spacious floor plan, the one bedroom with a den is a great layout!-package delivery to my apartment-Office and maintenance staff, that are always willing to chat and help-Underground parking included in rent-A clean and safe building to come home to-Resident events-Larger than normal balcony-Easy to use grills and fire pit-Walkable to Normandale Lake with plenty of paved trails.Apartment living can sometimes be a challenge but living at The Covington makes it easy!

This has been my favorite place to live EVER! The location is great, the staff is wonderful and so kind to both me and my dogs. They have the best value for what you get. Parking is only $25, gas is a flat $20 per month and the outdoor pool does not compare to ANY Ive ever been to!

These apartments are absolutely wonderful! They are spacious and clean, every apartment gets a patio and has washer/dryer. Theyre perfect if you have a pet!!! We met so many great people because of our puppy and she was able to socialize almost every time we went outside!The management is attentive and incredibly friendly. Maintenance requests were always taken care of within 24 hours. My boyfriend and I never had one complaint the whole year we lived there.

I have lived here for 2 years and just renewed my lease for a 3rd year. The staff is extremely helpful and responsive. The maintenance staff is also very quick to fix any issues that come up. We have a large dog that loves it here because there are tons of other dogs to play with and its a short walk to Normandale Lake for walks! We love calling The Covington Home.

My husband and I moved to the Covington when it first opened several years ago. Our plan was to stay for a year while looking for a house, but the building and community have been so great, it’s been hard to find a reason to leave! One of the best parts of living here is how pet friendly the building is. We got a puppy a year after moving here and have had a blast socializing him with other dogs, kids, neighbors, and his favorite, the management office (who set out dog treats, cookies, and coffee every day for visitors)! There is a dog wash in the garage, poop bags stationed all around the yard (which stays amazingly clean given how many dogs live in the building), and even an annual All Paws on Deck pool party for the pups at the end of the swimming season, which the dogs (and owners) love. Beyond this, the building is incredibly clean and the super-friendly office staff go above and beyond to make this place feel like a community. Maintenance requests are handled right away and community events are planned almost monthly (often with food, games, activities, prizes) for neighbors to hang out and get to know each other. Other amenities include a free gym, weekly yoga classes, a pool deck with grills, a movie room, an awesome community/party room that can be reserved for free, and even vouchers for free airport shuttles. This, along with a great location (close to interstates, walking/skiing trails, lakes, the airport, shopping, and restaurants) have made the Covington a great place to live. Five stars for sure!

The Covington Apartment Homes Bloomington is a great place to live. The location is excellent and the apartments and building overall are well maintained. The common areas are very clean and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. The underground heated garage is a very nice amenity for sure.

My fiancé and I are about to move into these apartments this weekend. We have changed the move in date a few times and have been in constant contact with them about some finer details and questions and every single time they have responded in a very timely manner and a very friendly manner. We have taken multiple tours and they have not once even for a second made us feel like we were an inconvenience or being annoying, even though we are totally being “needy”. If this is a sign of things to come with their customer service they will deserve more than the allowed 5 stars! I will update this review at 6 and 12 months. I couldn’t be more excited for our choice of apartment!

I have been living here since day the building opened and have lived in a couple different apartments. Each apartment was fantastic and the transfer process was so easy thanks to the wonderful staff! I couldn’t imagine a better place for my dog and I to call home.

Nice new building and you get a lot for your money, including a storage unit located conveniently on your floor and near your apartment. Management is incredibly friendly, helpful and always available. The outdoor pool area is awesome and has all sorts of activities going on during the summer weekends--and the social atmosphere is great. I highly recommend the Covington to anyone looking for a nice new place to call home.

Ive lived here for the last 3 years and I have never had any issues. The apartments are nice and decently priced. I have never felt as if I was pay more for what I have received from The Covington. Also, the management office is great and always there for you when you have an issue. You get a lot for what you pay, especially for living only minutes from downtown.

I have lived here for almost 2 years. I have had no issues living at this place, which is a step up from any other apartment I have lived in within the Bloomington Area. Its in a perfect location and can easily get on the interstate. My apartment faces the the highway, but they use soundproofing to eliminate the sound. The office staff is amazing and always nice and welcoming! The maintenance crew is very responsive and you can put in a maintenance request online on the website! Their website is new and is a great way to view/pay your bill. This place is very pet friendly and even does a pet of the month, which really brings a sense of community to the complex. I have seen more involvement and activities and more sharing on the Facebook page which is neat. They are very clear when they post announcements and send emails to let everyone know if something is happening and need to move a vehicle, etc. I love living here!

Ive never lived in an apartment before and the The Covington has made the transition seamless, not to mention i own a very sweet german shepherd and when we had to move i called 10-15 apartment complexes and nobody was willing to take in my dog but the office at the Cov was the ONLY people in town that were willing to actually meet her! It almost feels like we live in a hotel, were definitely loving it here

I moved here as a transition place when I sold my house, and I’ve ended up staying for 3 years! Friendly neighbors, wonderful amenities and responsive staff.

I’ve rented here since January and I really like it. They have a cleaner for common areas so it’s clean never dusty or worse. The layout is spacious and comfortable. Washer dryer in unit makes life easier. There is a lot of storage space both closets and space on your floor. Maintenance is quick to respond on everything from lightbulbs and microwaves failing to hair clogs and garbage disposal. I want to be clear that I’ve had little issues and they take pride in the building. The dogs living here are always happy and eager to say hello when passing in hall or entryway.I haven’t really used the party room but it is really nice and can accommodate caters too. The movie theatre is pretty nice but I think for the size it could use a larger tv or a screen and projector. The gym is a actual gym not just a few free weights and a bike. They have a massage each month currently but I stopped using mine (masseuse is a talker) I like to just lay down get massage and listen to music. In her defense I never did ask her to not talk but still seemed intrusive to the experience. The pool is a good size and well maintained, alongside are two areas with chairs and tables, and a tv bbq area. They have movie night and get together nights which are nice to meet neighbors. Some weekends can be loud if you face the pool, close windows and it’s tolerable. The heat and water as well as air conditioning works perfectly.. I’d recommend it to others. I have a noisy neighbor but the staff is trying to address that . May 2021 just renewed my lease. The noisy neighbors left and to clarify it wasn’t talking, music or tv, it was the doors being slammed that we heard at all hours. I have not heard any noise since they left. I’m not tiptoe quiet neither are my current neighbors, they built really great insulation into this building. I’ve asked next door if he hears my tv because I can use headphones if it bothers him, he said he thought I was never home since he never heard a thing. The office did online games and yoga to keep spirits up during lockdown. They are still setting up online classes and events so everyone has a chance to participate even if they are not home. I’m guessing some rude people left messes because they no longer want smoking even outside in courtyard. I don’t smoke, however I feel bad for the people who do. The electric, water etc are very low cost month to month due much to the eco friendly systems they used here. You won’t need to fret over running the washer as it barely affects your costs.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone of color to live here, management is racist the only person in the office who is genuinely nice is Jerome, the others are fake, and honestly I don’t have anything nice to say about them.I was racially profiled by someone who taught, I didn’t live in the apartments and also by management.Zero stars.

I don’t usually right reviews, but management is a joke they take forever to fix things Grace and Jerome are nice. But Kate Meyer is a joke, she is extremely arrogant and borderline ignorant.Kate Meyer try’s to over charge for everything I won’t recommend The Covington to any-one. If your Muslim or Jewish don’t move here, I heard her make a very ignorant so called joke with a tenant regarding Muslims, and Middle East conflict.Zero stars I won’t renew my lease.

Lived here for three months. I thought the apartment was nice but I had several issues with the management and I am still getting billed for my utilities. I have never had so much confusion with an apartment complex and I was only here for three months!!! Not impressed for how much I was paying in rent.

What can I say?! I have lived here for 3 years and it’s been the best place ever! The staff is amazing and have been friendly since the first day I walked in here. Life can be tough sometimes and every person in the office has been understanding and down to earth. This is appreciated and admired as it is hard to find in today’s rental world. The maintenance service is impeccable and is kept clean on a regular basis. The lady does a fantastic job and makes it smell so good. Always a pleasure walking in the door to a nice smelling home.I feel safe here and their alarms are up-to-date, top-notch. Amenities are wonderful with a 24hour gym, movie theatre, outdoor pool, party room, grilling stations and deck furniture, fire pit and bocce ball court. They even have yoga classes, a massage therapist and a guest suite.The location is awesome in that it’s near many trails and lakes. Easy to walk and run. It’s perfect off the major freeways with the Mall of America, the airport and many restaurants minutes away.They are pet friendly! One of my favorites about this place! Our pets are our family! They have a doggie wash and a car wash port as well. Underground, heated parking which has saved my car over the winters. So many great appreciation parties where you can win prizes, free food and meet the residents. I can go on and on but this I can say, when you have management that cares and treats you with respect, this is a big win in my book! I can say that many of the other places I have lived, they did not give a hoot about you as a person. I would love to give more stars for this place but I’d say to management, keep doing what your doing for the tenants and offer good rates to live here. This is a Gem! ; *}

Absolutely hate living here! The walls/ floors are very thin. I can hear my neighbors shut their cabinets, get ready in the morning, even turn on/of their light switch. It doesnt help that the layout of the apartments arent the best. The bedroom is on the wall of the next doors kitchen, so if you sleep in or whatever, youd most likely get woken up by the neighbors anyway. Doors are slammed all the time, people running up and down the halls.. Management has also been rude when Ive complained about all the noise issues.. We have gone to them in person about issues and I havent seen an improvement. I understand that this is an apartment building and there will be noise, but its excessive compared to anywhere else Ive lived. The rent is expensive for the size of the apartment, yes you get a lot of amenities.. but if you rarely use the pool, gym, movie theater, etc... its not worth the price you pay. I cannot wait to move out as soon as my lease ends. Also, I will NOT be recommending this place to anyone.

Review regarding Staff - As a renter since 2004 and having rented over 8 different places, I have to say I miss this place. Whenever I read reviews for other places, it seems like bad customer service was usually people’s number one reason for a bad review. When I lived at the Covington, I summarize the place as having the Best customer service. It always reminds of this nice beach front hotel in Miami I stayed at. For instance, whenever I step into the Covington and there’s a staff member there (office staff, maintenance people, or custodian), I was always greeted with a “hello” or smile and I feel welcomed and valued for staying there. Whenever I bug them to get a package from the storage room, they were always friendly, socialize, and did it with a smile. Every e-mail or requests I’ve ever had were always handled promptly under 24 hours. I also never got the impression that they were trying to nickel-and-dime me - I left the apartment with minor damages and I explicitly told the staff about them because I wanted an estimate so I could set aside money to pay for it when I get the bill. I wasn’t charged a single dime for any of it.Regarding the Building – I looked at a ton of other similar places in the area and I feel the price I was charged was reasonable. For the money I paid, I got a very spacious and clean 1 bdrm, good-sized balcony, a 5x4 storage unit, and a heated garage space. So in terms of dollars per square footage, you get a lot. As for the balcony, mine faced Lake Normandale so the fireworks show they put on at Lake Normandale is something I’ll always remember – the attached photo I had taken from my balcony. Viewing fireworks is one thing, but being able to view it from your personal balcony is a whole new level. I never used the pool or gym, so I have no comment on that. The reason I moved out was due to the thin floors – I lived on the top floor and although I never heard a peep from my next-door neighbor, I could hear a ton of stuff from the downstairs people. On the weekends, I could be awakened to their alarm clock in the morning (with the 1st tenants), bathroom cabinets and doors being shut, and yes, like someone else said, you can actually hear them flicking on/off their light-switch. Sometimes at 1am on a Tues night, I’m awakened to them slamming their bathroom door. I surely didn’t do anything to anger them because I literally tip-toe around my apt or at my desk when home. With the A+ staff, I feel like the Covington would’ve been that PERFECT place if they had made the floors concrete so that people above/below can’t disturb you. The unit below me was vacant for about 2 months, and during that time, it was so PEACEFUL living there.Regarding the Tenants – I’d say 97% of the people there were very friendly. People I’ve never seen or talked to before always said “hi” or smile; and some would try to hit up a small conversation in the elevator or lobby. I never hear music when walking down the hallways after 10pm. Parties on the weekends on my floor were also extremely rare, and even if there were, they were never noisy.

Pet friendly and a great pool / patio area. The building has two entrances and underground parking for residence.

Very nice community with great staff. Had a great experience living there.
