Got a shellac manicure here, within 1 day the manicure changed from a pink to a coral color in spots (see pics). I called and they were able to get me in and redo them. We changed to a different color and tried again. Within 2 days they also changed color. This is not acceptable for paying $40+. I won’t be going back to this salon. Not sure if they didn’t shake the product or both products were bad or perhaps non compatible base or top coats. Customers beware.

I have been a client of Lori’s for years she does a amazing job. The staff is friendly the spa is clean & relaxing. I brought my goddaughter in for a spa day we both got spray tanned and our eyelashes tinted and lifted. I also purchased some amazing skin care products. Excellent experience..

First it was very clean. I had an appointment and the nail tech was ready when I Arrived. She did not rush, Lisa took her time. All the products were sterilized. She used a nail file, when it came time to use the drill she was very careful not rushed. They are a bit pricey but it was worth it. I will go back again.

The spa is impeccably clean and the staff is professional and friendly. I leave there happy and grateful that Lori is there. They offer great specials, too!

Best and longest lasting dip mani Ive had so far! Im very hard on my hands/nails. If my nails didnt grow so fast, I could stretch it to a full 3 weeks because the polish is still in perfect condition. No cracks. No breaks. No peeling. 🤩

I like to try a place a few times before I review it. Ive been to This Girl Lori for a facial, 4 shellac manicures and one pedicure and EVERY service has been fantastic. The women at the spa are kind, relaxed and really welcoming - its clear they care about clients. During my facial with the owner Lori she gave me skincare tips for my skin type that have really helped me. My favorite though is getting a manicure with nail art - Rachelle is talented, fun to chat with and can take your ideas and make them a reality. The spa is small and a bit hidden away, but that keeps it from feeling rushed/too commercial and it has free parking in Birmingham, which is so nice! The prices are affordable and they offer some killer package deals. They are also great with online scheduling and being flexible. I plan to make this my regular spa and cant recommend it enough!

Katy did an awesome job. My nails were super bad bc I just moved to the area and didnt know where to go. But she took her time to clean them up and they look good considering how chewed up my cuticles were. It was an extremely nice and clean suite they were in. I was surprised at all the services they offer. Will definitely be going back.

Very affordable, clean, and there are some great package deals. I got a sugar Brazilian and it was probably the least painful Brazilian I have ever had. The staff was so friendly and professional, I would highly recommend!

I’ve only been sugared 3 times and this was the most painful and longest sugar experience I have had. I tried them because my wedding was approaching and I wanted to be serviced in a timely matter. I’ve been to two other establishments that I’d happily return back to. Lisa took over an hour to complete and it was more painful that the other experiences I had. She was a very sweet lady and it was clean and well kept but a hour and a half is a long time to go through a painful experience and I wouldn’t say I have a low pain tolerance.

I had the absolute best facial with Alison the esthetician! She is so knowledgeable about skincare and her passsion for what she does really shows in her services! I tried out derma-planing for the first time as an add on service to my facial and loved it! My skin felt so soft and smooth after.

I found Lori around January of 2014 and have been going to see her fairly regularly for facials since then. Her spa is small and cozy. Its always clean and inviting.Her services are wonderful and very reasonably priced - you will not find a better deal in the area, or even a comparable one. Each time I go in she starts by talking to me about how my skin fared after the last facial and any changes Ive made to my daily routine for skincare; based on that she tailors the facial. Each facial has been unique and a great experience.Ive also gotten pedicures and manicures from Lori, both of which have been great. Her technique is excellent and my manicures last a very long time. The first manicure I received from Lori lasted 8 days before chipping. Ive never had a manicure last more than 3 days without chipping, so I was pretty impressed to say the least. My second manicure didnt make it to the 8 day mark, but it did last 5 days before succumbing to a chip. Im very hard on my nails, so Im very pleased with both of these results. Definitely check out this gem of a spa!

Amazing experience with Sunitha. I highly recommend her, she has plenty of experience plus she is very sweet and patient. I went in for sugaring (sugar wax) Brazilian and compared to other places, the experience was very pleasant, didnt hurt much compared to the regular strips and Sunitha truly is great at it. I loved the parking, location and time availabilities. The spa is very clean, pleasant and has a long list of services. Great products being used there! Very nice staff too.

I had the best experience with this Center, very nice people, prices are affordable, they have great packages. Meeting with Dr. Yasso for skin test free consultation was very informative, he explained in details my skin problems and what are the best options. I definitely will keep going.

Great service for really reasonable prices. Theyre also friendly and accessible, and have been flexible with schedule changes. I have been coming here for waxing services for years, and highly recommend Lori. She is very quick, thorough, and somehow manages to make it as pain-free as possible. Some of the other employees have been less experienced and have not done as good of a job (not waiting until the wax is hard to remove it, missing places, not arranging my legs to only wax the target area, causing a lot of pain, etc.). They let you request a technician when you book online, so Id definitely recommend going with Lori if you are going in for waxing!

One of my new favorite places! It is in a cute spot. I found it very easy to find. Everyone was all smiles and greeted me when I came in. Lori was super nice and I had no wait. I got a wax from Emily and she couldnt make the experience more wonderful. It was my first one, so I felt a little hesitant and uncomfortable. I didnt know what to expect. She walked me through it as she went along and answered any of my questions. She was fun and friendly, just like the rest of the staff I met. Got a Brazilian wax and lip was done and it was amazing . She took her time and got everything I felt so new walking out. The downside was my eyebrow tint I didn’t see a difference in the before and after or I would give them 5 stars.

After having an unnecessarily painful sugaring experience at The Sugar Parlor, I had an AMAZING experience with Nita at this salon. The ambiance is welcoming and the staff are polite and prompt. Nita (sp?) who did my brazilian sugar was one of the best Ive ever had. She was knowledgeable about her work, gentle, supportive, and tailored my experience to my personal needs and comfort level. After my last sugar, I had bumps from irritation, blood spots on my underwear, and was in pain for hours after my appointment. After this sugar, I had none of those symptoms and was smooth like Ive never been before. If you are a first timer or have done sugaring a million times, definitely go here! I cant recommend them enough.

This Girl Lori Beauty Spa is an amazing find. I strongly recommend! This Girl Lori is easy to find with great parking in the heart of Birmingham (without the Birmingham price tag on services!!). This is my second review. I had to come back to comment on Dr. Yasso. What a fabulous experience. He was so kind, listened and seem to genuinely care about my facial care. I’ve had 3 other Botox experiences and have always been left with several bruises on my face that I had to cover up for about two weeks. I did not have a single bruise after his treatment. He took his time and was extremely gentle. The placement of the Botox was perfection and I am loving the results, far better than any other results I’ve ever had. So I just had to come back and say another thank you to Dr. Yasso. (and Lori for the referral!! xx)

Love this place!! Best kept secret in Birmingham. Super friendly staff, welcoming and relaxing environment, and always neat and tidy. The only place i get my nails done. This was my first time coming here and I am beyond happy with my experience. I did the jump start package and it was amazing. Staff is friendly. They all did a wonderful job.

I would not recommend this place. I was supposed to have an hour facial. It didnt add up to that. The lady washed her hands literally every 5 minutes and that was sooooo annoying!!! When it came time to do whatever it was that she was poking me with.... there was no warning, like hey youre gonna feel some pokes. She just started poking me and kinda hurt!!

I have been getting waxs from Lori for over two years. I will never go anywhere else. Lori is gentle, knowledgeable, and so sweet. Her prices are very reasonable and service is excellent! You will not be disappointed.

Staff was very nice and friendly but I was not happy with the services I was provided. My appointment was at 4:30pm I didn’t get back to start until 5:15 pm. I was getting a Brazilian wax, my wax was never this painful. Every time she went to remove the hard wax she couldn’t grip the wax good which cause her to keep snatching it and after a while I was very sore. Also when I left and went to the restroom I had access wax still everywhere in different spots I couldn’t even wipe properly because the wax had me stuck together (very painful) down there. I even had to take tweezers when I got home to remove hairs that she missed. Not pleased at all but once again the staff was very friendly and welcoming. My esthetician name was Jenna (my not be spelled correctly).

Recommend the custom facial. So relaxing and refreshing ! The ladies are amazing and really know what they are doing. Have a great line of products they offer to purchase as well!

Bought a Groupon and went this Sat for a facial. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and they knew it was me (from the appointment) before I even had to tell them. The building was cute, a little on the girly girl side (almost bordering tacky but not yet there) but still cute. I disliked that the treatment rooms had concrete floors as though we were in a basement. Natalie did my facial and she was fantastic. She took time and really hydrated my face. I loved the active enzyme cream she used. I left feeling as though my face was just so fresh. She was even polite enough to give me a mini shoulder and arm massage. For the price - which by the way is ridiculously affordable compared to other salons- this is defiantly worth it! It was suggested to me to buy a specific cream (that was 50$) afterwards which I denied because I found it cheaper online. Anyways this facial was as good as any facial in an upscale salon but way better pricing.

Such a great experience! It was my fiancé and I first time ever getting a facial. We were very late to our appointment and they were very accommodating to us as well as keeping the next appointment in mind! It was the best experience of our lives to the point we both fell asleep lol. From the staff, to the products, to everything in between it was such a great experience and both of our skin feels amazing! We will both be returning as soon as possible and we plan to do more things than just the facials too! Highly highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

I got my eyebrows done by Serena. Nothing was done to prep them, i.e. they didnt sanitize or clean the make up off before waxing. She got wax in my eyebrows. She made one eyebrow much thinner and shorter than the other. During the waxing, her hair was loose so it was in my face as she leaned over. To top it off, nothing was done after to loosen the remaining wax so Ive been working at home to get the rest of the wax out of the eyebrow hair and the excess wax off of the skin surrounding. Extremely disappointing experience.

Best shellac manicure Ive ever had - 3 weeks and only two hard-to-notice chips. Ill be removing it because my nails have grown out too far, which is unheard of.

Got a facial with Natalie and it went well. She was very friendly and the products smelled great. Table was wide and comfortable. But, my appt was booked with Lori. I specifically selected Lori based on reviews. When I got there, Natalie led me into the room and I said that my appt was with Lori. She told me Lori was busy and that I could wait if I wanted to, but she had no idea how long it would be. Not cool. No apology, no acknowledgement of the change made with no notice to me. I find that very poor service and very unprofessional. I see in other reviews that this has happened to other Groupon customers as well which is disappointing.

Ughhhh where do I start even?!?! I LOVED IT. The place is sooo beautiful, to begin with. When you go in they offer refreshments. I went there for a facial and saw Ninorta. She is so sweet! And so much fun to talk to and she really went above and beyond with my facial, I loved it and her. It was super relaxing and I feel a lot better now. Ill be going back soon! Definitely recommend.
