I had an awful experience with Josh as my insurance agent. When I bought my home, I got homeowners insurance through Josh, and moved my car insurance to him as well. Despite him telling me he would have my parent’s insurance policy (also State Farm) on my car canceled, he neglected to do so resulting in us paying for two policies for several months before we caught it. I then told him to cancel the my car insurance in December since my parents policy was much cheaper. Josh did not cancel the car insurance until mid March. During this time I did not pay for the car insurance portion (instead I paid the homeowners insurance portion via phone). He called me in April to tell me I had a past due amount (the car insurance portion) for January, February, and March despite the fact I told them to cancel it in December. When I told him I had been paying the homeowners insurance over the phone each month and that I shouldn’t have to pay for car insurance I told them to cancel, he raised his voice on the phone. I hung up, and have moved my policy to another State Farm agent who is helping sort out the mess Josh and his team created. I had multiple other issues as well, but this one was the most recent and final encounter. There are a lot of good State Farm agents, especially around the Birmingham area. Josh isn’t one of them.

Josh helped me with my car insurance and helped me and my wife get covered with life insurance. I didn’t even know State Farm offered life insurance!
