This place does not honor appointments. They say they have availability, but make you wait more than an hour. Didn’t even get my nails done because the wait was so long. What is the point of making an appointment? This was a waste of time. Poorly ran.

2nd time there. First was great and so was this visit. Theyre very good at what they do. Every one who walked in was treated nicely and they all seemed to walk out happy and satisfied with their service.

After 3 hours of waiting this is a manicure looks like from the owner never again! Told them that my hands need love and that I have allot of dead skin but he wanted to rush it went from getting my nails done to me not wanting then to do anything!

I went here for my FIRST ever mani&pedi. Everything was fine at first, the lady did my feet nicely and shaped them well. There was a little pinch but i figured it was bc my toe nail had grown into my skin more than i realised. I move on to getting my finger nails done and the guy didnt even cut my cuticles like the girl did with my feet . I ignore that . Then he put the gel on my nails and finishes up. I quickly glance at them and pay . On Later inspection, he didnt even do the gel all the way to my cuticle . It looks like i had my gel nails for already 2 weeks ! BUT THATS NOT ALL! i ended up with a toe infection! I paid 64 bucks plus a 10 tip! I want a refund!

The lady name Ann I recently paid for a full gel set. The staff was friendly and inviting. The service on the other hand was horrible! My nails looked bumpy, super thick, and uneven. I asked for the length to be fixed and they did not listen. They were super rough and made me bleed. Then I only received acrylic nails and was charged the extra for a gel set. Definitely not happy and will not return!

Dont waste your money. They rush through their work and the final product reflects the lack of precision. When I asked for polish to removed from my finger, the women who I was moved to while the previous worker started on another girl, very rudely obliged. Had your co-worker not painted my nails without looking, literally, you would not have the strenuous job of removing it. Overall very unprofessional, sloppy work and my finger is cut. Stay away! There are far better salons within the area.

They said it would be 30 mins and I was there for an hour and a half and still wasn’t close to attending me. TWO DAYS IN A ROW. never again.

This nail salon has poor customer service. They rush doing your nails because its so many people waiting in line, so they do a horrible job doing them. One lady did such a horrible job on my nails, my fingers had little cuts underneath them because she was rushing. Also, they allow people to skip you in line while waiting. Please do not get your nails done here. Will definitely go to a higher authority and complain!!! Will NEVER come here again!!!

If there was a below zero rating I would give them that! Absolutely horrible customer service, the main lady that screams wat color u want! Instead of greeting u when u enter the shop did my nails and was so rude, very unfriendly, treated me worse than a wild animal, plucked my nails like I had crocodile hands and hurriedly did my nails without even asking if I liked it or not. Rubbish job she did anyway! Very very racist as she smiled and greeted only white customers and the rest of us non whites her actions made it clear she didnt want us there. Worse off she demanded I pay before I got my nails done but everybody else paid after the job was done. And if that wasnt bad, she overcharged me deliberately and pretended like it was a mistake. The man too was equally the same, rude to me and the other non white customers but friendly to the white customers. So if ur not white, dont go there!! If u want to have great nails dont go here... worst nail shop ever! I cant say enough negative things about these guys. How they manage to still have a business is beyond me but avoid this place at all costs!

Very rude I entered at 7:30 and the guy in there was kicking me out yelling at me with an Attitude that they were closed when the closing time says 8pm. Go to future nails on Harlem way better costumer service and better nail performance

Never again! I was coming to this place so many times before and today I was there just for regular pedicure and the ladie who was working on my nails didn’t even put my legs in water to warm them up before even doing anything for nails on my feet!!!! And when I finished she didn’t even nicely even my nails with colores and size! So disappointed, and theirEnglish is not good also so when I ask something she don’t even understand what I m telling her .

I went with 2 other friends on Monday and got a no chip and today one of the nails came off! They are very unprofessional and gave my friend chunky nails. They let two people cut me off and didnt properly paint my nails.

I realy used to like this place before.. but today dec 31 I came,they did my pedicure so fast..super fast 5 minutes and done..omg for this wash I couldve done it at home...terrible I can still see the old nail polish on..BAD BAD I REALLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ANYMORE..IT WAS MY LAST TIME..26$ DOLLARS FOR A 5 MINUTE FEET WASH🤬

One the most basic things a manicurist should be able to do is make your nails even. 4/10 of my nails are crooked-my real nails, for no chip manicure. An older man who was doing my friends nails asked me to go and find her colors from the hundreds of nails polishes they have. Also, the light pink my friend wanted for her gel nails was pink on the label but orange in the bottle. A similar pink from the same brand was orange as well. Why? I dont know..his explaination was that it was mislabeled but it was just probably old.. When they asked my friend to sit in the chair for her pedicure there was barely any water in the sink and it was ice cold. No one even bothered to check on her or make sure the water was set up properly for at least 15 minutes. This is why drive 3 towns over to get my nails done.

This place was terrible, came here with my friend who is here on vacation to have a relaxing pampering time and all they did was do a horrible job. The owner was very rude, one of the ladies cut my friend while doing a take off and she had to ask her to stop so she stopped and had the owner Finnish and do my friends nails. He then stated that she was a very difficult person because she asked for him to be genital while finnishing the take off. He then proceeded to say he was charging her for the take off (which is suppose to be free with a new set) just because she was being difficult. Which is total BS. She then wanted a certain length and he stated since she wanted that length he waz going to charge her an extra $5 and they arent even long. I will never come back to this place. Not to mention my nails are croomed and some are much fuller then others they defiantly definitely dont take pride in their work.

I just left this place and wasted $35. The lady had no idea what In the hell she was doing and I definitely will not be going back. My nails are uneven and crooked, the top coat is only on the middle of nails, she completely missed the sides of nails. she didnt even touch my cuticles and this manicure was not worth all the money I paid. Terrible service. Hate this place.

It was a horrible experience there. The guy doing my nails, got mad because my nails were still wet and he was in a hurry, he started talking in his language to others and looking at me upset. He was a very disrespectful man. I was in a hurry to go to work, other than that, I was going to spend more time to complain about this. Because of running out of time, I just paid and left. I will never go there anymore.

This was my first ever mani/pedi, and we came there with my daughter. We didnt have an appointment, was a spur of the moment thing. We were taken in right away. I did tell them this was our first time, and they were very polite, professional. The place is very clean, and just a very nice friendly environment. The guy who did my daughters nails was amazing, and even drew nice flowers on her big toenails, which was a very nice pleasant surprise. The lady who did mine was constantly talking to the lady next to her treating another customer, in asian (my daughter pointed out that she likes that she has a guy because hes just doing her toenails while my lady constantly is looking at the other one and not on my nails). She was nice overall, but some of my fingers, especially rt thumb of my hand, is very crooked. The nail looks crooked at the bed, my daughter (shes 10) asked me to ask the lady to redo it, but I am usually afraid to sound impolite and opted not to ask, plus she was already with another customer while I was under the fan drying my nails. Itd be nice if the techs ask what do you think? or something as to that sort before they tell you ok youre done. I understand they need to move quick, and customers are waiting, but I do wish I had a tech like my daughters who just paid attention to her. Overall a really nice place though, we will be back!

I had a 12 pm appt it was 12:40 and they hadnt even started on me but were taking walk ins! At 12:40 I began to put my shoes on and when they saw me getting ready to leave Kim then says shes about to start on you now. I said No my appt was at 12 its now 12:45 Ill spend my mobey where their is professional service! I walked out! I dont recommend anyone ever go here its the 3rd incident and the last!

I went to M J with my little sister, she is 7 years old and she wears a prosthetic on her right leg which is shorter than the other with a deformed foot. When we got there we had to wait a little bit to get a pedicure, but the lady who did hers and the guy who did mine were both so polite and kind to her. The lady painted her prosthetics toenails and gave it some glitter. The guy gave her a little cat toy. They were very understanding and did a great job with the mani/pedi too! I will definitely be coming back.

I have been a loyal customer for many years. I am so dissatisfied and mortified on my experience today Saturday (5/21/16). I went in asking the owner Ricky for a polish change on my toes and hands. I do this from time to time to save $ of not always paying full price on a mani-pedi. Ricky ask me to sit in a pedicure chair. I sat in the chair and one of his techs walked over and trickled water in the foot basin. Not unusual as some techs will quick bath my feet. The tech spoke to another coworker (in Asian) and she came over and sat down in front of me and asked if I would like my toe nails trimmed and I said, yes please. She trimmed my toe nails while each foot was soaking in water. I started to think I hope she knows this is just a polish change and decided I better check with her. I did and she indicated she did not know it was a polish change. I turned to Ricky and said I asked for just a polish change and I think I am getting a full pedicure. He said sometimes people change their minds and I quickly informed him I had not. I never at any point said anything about a full pedicure service. He jumped up away from his customer and started to yell. I was stunned in disbelief. I wasnt sure why he was angry at me. I told him I walked in with a request and somewhere along the way his techs miscommunicated to each other what I asked for. After explaining him that I was trying to stop what i saw as a full service pedicure he continued to berave me in front of the customers there. I was stunned and mortified. The end result after feeling quite embarrassed and humiliated I let the tech complete my feet. Told her I would not stay for the manicure and asked to pay for my pedicure service. I want to make a public statement to Ricky that though his services have been not always satisfactory I have tipped his techs over the 20%. Ive also tipped him and his wife - the owners even though it is appropriate to NOT tip owners for their services. Ive never complained when my nails have chipped after a couple of days due to them adding acetone to their polishes and never been rude or impolite. They lost a good cash paying customer and there are plenty of salons looking for business. I did not deserve to be treated inappropriately. Signed. No longer a loyal foolish customer!

I think MJ Nails is one of the best places in the Berwyn/Riverside area for a mani/pedi. Ive been to pricy salons many times in the past for a mani/pedi and I have to say I prefer MJ Nails. Its true that if theyre busy youre going to wait awhile, but I usually avoid going when I know its going to be a busy, or I call ahead to see how long the wait will be.

He was extremely unprofessional he decides to laugh and giggle with whom I believe is the owner and then speak in they’re native tongue the young lady then comesOver pick up my hand and make a remark to the guy,he then gets up to leave and not finish,I WILL NEVER BE BACK !!!

I went in there today and wanted my nails and feet done I was told to come back next week because only the owner can do my nails because the lady was scared mind you I always come in here pay top dollar tip them and everything so I had to make sure I was hearing what I was hearing and asked him who’s scared he told me that they couldn’t do my nails or feet and I left and wanted to talk to the owner because that wasn’t fair so i will never spend any of my money there again very bad communication skills and poor customer service

I walked in asked for a mani/pedi and was not greeted at all. They dont take appointments. They are short staffed so if they are busy you will end up waiting 1-2 hrs. AVOID!!!!!!
