Very good service! Tow truck driver called me every once in awhile to give me an update of how close he was since he was an hour away at first. Fixed my car issues in less than 20 minutes. Highly recommend!

I booked the towing through phone, the agent said it costs $140. The guy who towed my car doesnt speak English and only speaks Spanish. This is fine if nothing went wrong. But before they put down my car at my house, the guy told me through google translator that this costs me $230, and said that sometimes the phone agent doesnt know how long the towing distance actually is. I explained that thats not true, since I gave them the pickup address and the destination when I booked the service, and I had the recording that they asked for only $140. The guy went on to consult with his boss. The communication was difficult with the guy and after about 20 minutes, he and his boss compromised. Eventually they charged me $140. I later found out that its the company Munitz towing that did the towing job, which is an affiliated company to Towing Berkeley. Anyways, the service I received was not pleasant. I wasted almost half an hour with them trying to figure out the real cost.

Fantastic experience. Truck came quickly and I was able to get my car battery jumped. The mechanic was extremely knowledgeable and gave me some great pointers while the battery was charging. He even stayed an extra few minutes while I took a test drive around the black. Observed all COVID precautions and was very professional.

Called around 10:30am for a jump start. The guy arrived at 11ish, and it took him less than 5 seconds after arriving to successfully jump my car. Charged me $140 for that 5 seconds of his time.I called my dealership to ask how much a brand new battery would be, even with labor included - $170.Just get a brand new battery instead of asking these guys to give you a jump.I could’ve Ubered to Auto Zone, bought a damn battery, Ubered back, and installed the damn thing for the same price as a single jump start from Berkeley Towing. The price gouging is absolutely INSANE here.Stay away.

This was service to unlock my car and over charged for a 5 to 8 minute service and did not make a key but opened the door using some kind of air pads. Cost was $218.00 I got price gouged. You decide if you want to use their business.

Called for a tow...originally given estimate of $280. Called back less then 10 minutes later to confirm id like to proceed, someone new answered and said theres no record of me calling, then quotes me $320.I say no, I was just quoted 280...they say fine and honor it. Cool.Im told tow truck will arrive in 30-40 min. I wait 1 hour and 10 minutes before calling back asking for driver ETA. Im told the driver had a delay and will be there in 10 minutes...I end up waiting another HOUR and still nobody has showed up. I ended up canceling. They wasted 2+ hours of my time after telling me id wait for 30 - 40 min. The only reason this has 2 stars is both the women who answered the phone seemed kinda nice and I was actually fully refunded. But wow a lot of my time was wasted.

What started out as a simple Costco trip, ended up being a car nightmare! After shopping at Costco, we got back to our car and it would not start. The key light was light up on the dash as if it was not recognizing the key. Over and over we tried to start the car wasting about 1 hr. Finally gave in and called for a tow. Dreading the cost and the experience I started calling. This is where some good luck came in! The tow truck that came was Guys. He was absolutely great. Great to talk to, made us laugh, and had a great sense of humor...best tow ride ever!!! If you are ever in a jam and need a tow...call Guy!!! Seriously he is genuinely a really nice guy and loves his job...which is a rare find!!! Thanks Guy!!!

Be aware of non-transparent pricing! The base fee is $85 to jump start a car battery. It took five minutes. The receptionist is rude, uninformed or told to be deceitful. She mention a $49 fee quickly, after taking credit card info, at end of the phone call and tried to hang up. Never mentioned it when first asked how much. The wait time for service was promised 30-45 minutes. It took 1.5 hours. The service tech is professional and did a good job.

What a complete joke. Two hours late, and when they finally get here, they suddenly realize they didnt have what they needed, so I sit there for another hour. Three hours late. After a promised 30-45 minute wait time. They should be embarrassed.

Gouged me for $$$.. Ive towed bigger more problematic cars from my house to Dons tires for 160.. a 1.5 mile tow. This place charged me 260! I was stupid not to get a quote first, what a rip-off.. The truck driver was good but Im never using their business again.

Spoke to a guy to get a tow from Berkeley to Oakland. The address the car was supposed to be taken at first was my house and I got a price of $160 but I instantly told him that I wanted to have it towed to a shop instead and he asked for new address and I gave it to him and he put me on hold for a new quote. He ended up saying $165 flat rate. I said ok. So my husband and daughter ended up riding with the tow truck cuz they can only take 2 people so my baby and I had to grab an uber. So the tow truck took my car to my house instead of the shop! My house and the shop are 5 mins away and my husband thought he was taking a different route but he was heading to our house. He ends up taking the car to the shop and charged us $180 ...

We needed a row and where we were the garage closed in ten minutes. They were going to try to make it but instead they made an appt with us for they next morning. They were on time and were able to tow my car even tho the steering wheel was locked.Would highly recommend to anyone with a difficult situation.

The Towing Berkeley does not treat their customer right! I requested a small towing truck with lift arm so it can move my immobile car into my garage. They confirmed the small tow truck will be sent to me in 3 hours later and told me I need to pay additional fee for dolly that can put underneath the wheels to move my car into the garage. I agreed and give them my credit card for deposit.3 hours passed and the tow truck driver called for address confirmation, I asked what type of truck he will drive and he told me it is a flatbed truck that is too big for the drive way to my garage.I called back to Towing Berkeley dispatcher to find out what happened. The new shift dispatcher said no information was recorded for the small truck and dolly request and she does not have any small truck available. I have to wait until tomorrow. The dispatcher denied any problem in their side and just said she is not responsible for this screw up. She does not really care what their customer feel after long waiting without a reasonable explaining on what went wrong inside their company.I recommend caution to anybody when considering using their service.

I was extremely disappointed with this companys service. Short story: 2.5 hour wait to get a jump, $145 for just a jump. Long story: I called to get my car jumped and they told me someone would be there in 40 minutes (this was 12 PMvon a Tuesday). When no one had come an hour later, I called again, and they told me someone would be there in 25 minutes. When I still hadnt heard anything 60 minutes later, I called again. Almost there, they said. 30 minutes later, I called again. 7 minutes away, they said. 15 minutes later, they arrive, 2.5 hours after I initially called. And, they charged me $145 for just a jump, the most expensive Ive ever seen anywhere, and Ive had my car jumped multiple times in Palo Alto.

These guys are amazing! Fast, professional and super helpful! I got stuck on the bay bridge and after Caltrans guided me off Guy with Towing Berkley was at my assistance within 20min of calling!!! Guy then took me to Wast Oakland Tire which was close by and he knew they would do a good job. If I ever run into a situation like this again Im for sure calling Towing Berkley. Best experience when the situation could have been much scarier.

30 minutes or less. I think they meant “more”. All I wanted was help to change a flat tire. Then they said I have to wait 30 more minutes and they’ll still charge me if I cancel even though I found someone else to help me. So even though I can fix it now, I have to wait 30 more minutes or else I’ll waste my money. If you have a flat tire, do yourself a favor and don’t call this place. Most tow places are dishonest money-hungry bloodsuckers. This place is no exception.

Amazing! After waiting for four hours to have my car picked up by a Towtruck sent by my insurance company. I google and found Berkeley Tow,, I called them and they came to my rescue! In 15 minutes. !Great service, good and clean Towtruck, and very friendly . He even offered me a ride to Bart after taking the car to the repair shop.

Needed a tow asap. Receptionist, ok over the phone quick to get my credit card info. Was told driver would call and did after 5 min was very rude and unprofessional. Cancelled right away.

I called to ask a few questions about towing. The person who answered the phone was very rude. It was a less than 1 minute phone call, and it seems like I didnt worth his time, and he hang up on me before I could finish asking my questions.

Ive used Towing Berkeley on two occasions: once for assistance in getting my door open when I had locked my keys in, and the second time for a local tow. On both occasions, somebody showed up to help me within a very short amount of time. This was especially impressive on the first occasion, as it was rather late in the evening. The service was quick and efficient. When getting my car towed to a local shop, the driver was kind enough to deliver my key with the car, saving me an Uber ride home from the shop.Overall, both were positive experiences, and Id recommend Towing Berkeley for any of your towing or roadside assistance needs.

My husband called because the our car’s alternator went out. He called and they said that it would be about 45 minutes for a driver to arrive. They took his credit card to secure the tow and said that if he were to cancel they would charge $40 to the card. He said ok, 1 hour went by and he called them back and they said that the driver had to drop a car somewhere else and they said that gps showed him 30 mins away. 45 mins later he called and they told him that there was an accident and there was a delay it will be another 1 hour or so. He could not charge his phone because the battery was dead and he told them that. Another 1.5 hours went by and finally at 8:30pm he received a call from a driver who said he was at home in Oakland and he just received the dispatch!! He showed up and told my husband that they told him it was a favor for an employees friend, we don’t know anyone that works there. When the gentleman showed up he was polite and apologetic. He was very professional and will recommend him for any tow needs. Raza Roadside Assistance. I am very disappointed by this company considering the great reviews, it makes me wonder if they are paid! Please beware if you are stuck.

The technician did not tell me the price prior to towing my vehicle 4 miles from Oakland to alameda. Upon delivery, he charged me a very exorbitant price of $250!Never use them unless you like to throw away money!
