I was so nervous to come to the dentist since it’s my first visit at the dentist in over 10 years, however, from the moment I stepped in I received a warm, friendly greeting from the receptionists. Then the technician was so helpful in providing me thorough, clear information about how to properly floss and brush my teeth! Lastly, Dr. Peggy was great. She provided me with a great explanation of what I needed to do to get my 10 year-old crown fixed and the filling in my teeth that I’ve had since I was a kid back into shape. They provided me such great care! I can’t wait to get my teeth in shape.

This dentist office was great. Lots of space, great up to date tools, efficient and friendly workers. Had a virtual visit with the dentist who offered to answer any of my questions and went over a through consultation.There are 2 parking spots in the lot, and beyond that a few around the street but you will have to pay.After my initial check up they got me in for a cleaning appointment pretty quickly. Overall great experience.

Came in pretty nervous because it has been years since I’ve been in a dental office. My experience today has been exceptional from the front staff to the dental assistant and the doctor via zoom. All of their services and professionalism has been great. I was overwhelmed at first but I can say I’m leaving here feeling good about everything.

Chusang was amazing and got everything done for me from the beginning when I came in. She was very attentive and made this process very easy. I’m new to the area and this was my first time to the dentist! Will definitely be back!

I was seen at the Berkeley office. You all did an amazing job. I have never had such a great experience in my life with going to the dentist as I did today. Every one of the staff members were so personable. My dental hygienist was extremely gentle with taking my X-rays and cautious when dealing with the sensitive area in my mouth. She had great conversation which helped put my nerves at ease. This was great because I usually hate X-rays because they always hurt so bad. I forgot her name but her patient care was amazing! Chusang is the most wonderful front desk person I have come across at a dental office. She was extremely helpful with my scheduling. I was the last patient of the day and she did not rush me out like other offices I’ve been to. No matter how many questions I asked she took her time to explain things to me and gave the information I needed. I had a bit of a wait time to be seen but I didn’t mind because everyone was so nice and friendly while I waited. It’s very rare to find an office that is both professional and personable! My Dentist was also very gentle and helpful explaining things to me. I did not feel nervous because I actually knew what was going on. She did not continue to poke at areas once she knew they were painful. The only con is that I can’t come back to get my procedures done there because I would without hesitation!! Wouldn’t trust this practice at all. They are only trying to find ways to push unnecessary procedures. After my first visit, I was recommended for $1,500 (after insurance coverage) of services that my previous dentists did not mention as issues. It felt like they like they were trying to use a scare tactic to make me me feel as though I would lose all my teeth if I didn’t accept the recommended services. One of the items was a mouth guard for $1k...I found one on Amazon for $50 bucks. Be careful here.

Went to Total Health Dental Care after years of being scared of going to the dentist and it was amazing! I have avoided the dentist for so long due to being ridiculed or lectured about my teeth by dental techs and dentist and when I came in today I was hesitant. As soon as I walked in the receptionist greeted me with a warm welcome and they immediately melted away some of my anxieties. When I started working with the tech Leslie (who was amazing) she made me more comfortable by talking to me about things other than my teeth. I explained why I have avoided the dentist for years and she didn’t judge or lecture me. We got through everything quickly and comfortably while still feeling safe with the procedures they have taken for COVID-19. I would definitely recommend and come again! The team here is amazing!!!

This place and the people who work here are great! Let me start off by saying I have a pretty large fear of going to the dentist and teeth issues - we are talking fighting off panic attacks. Having to deal with two impacted wisdom teeth during a pandemic (in my 30s!) didn’t help. I have medi-cal and searched in vain to find someone to take me and either wasn’t getting calls back or no one could see me for months for even an exam. I found Total Health Dental Care online and saw their great reviews, and contacted them via their website asking for advice. They called me within a couple of hours tops, and were so friendly I decided to splurge on an exam/X-ray appt (they had one the next day), even though I’ve been unemployed for almost a year and they didn’t take my insurance. I’m very glad I did - everyone was SO nice and the exam/X-rays went better than I expected. They then sat down with me and suggested I get all four wisdom teeth removed, and fully explained the costs. Definitely pricey out of pocket, but they ended up saving me a few hundred dollars off my total (by offering me a membership for those without insurance that comes with perks such as discounts on services - it more than paid for itself with this visit alone). They were able to schedule me an oral surgery appointment with IV sedation within a week, and while I’m still nervous about it, I am less so now I know I am in their caring and capable hands. Thank you!!! I highly recommend to those both with and without insurance, and especially to anyone with a fear/previously bad experiences with dentists.

I just found these guys after switching insurance and I’m so happy I did! They have really advanced tech here and they are so thorough about your over all dental health. The set up for the appointment was so seamless and easy, and Gladys was so sweet during my entire appointment. These guys are the real deal!

TIPFYI there are 2 telegraph locations 2 blocks apart on the same street. I highly recommend you do your research first on the welcome center for the correct telegraph location.WAIT TIME 5/10My appointment is at Sunday 2:10pm, I arrived to the 3017 #300 telegraph location, which is a building complex with multiple doctors offices. I tried to ring the buzzer multiple times to get in, no luck at all. I even called total health dental line, I was rerouted To the automated message. Absolute no help at all. I received the appointment text the day of, it didnt state the clinic location. It was a mess overall. I then rechecked the website, and found out the welcome center is 2 blocks away. I drove there, and was 10min late bc of it. I waited for over an hour to be seen (took X-rays, dentist consultation)SERVICE 8/10They took every patients temperature one by one to make sure you dont have a fever.I tried to get the receptionist attention for the wait time but they were occupied the entire hour I spent waiting there. Obviously its a Sunday and they booked some patients, which they want to make it quick and seamless in and out process for them.As soon as I was seen, the X-ray tech took my teeth X-rays. Im impressed by their X-ray imaging technology, they took every side of my teeth, and even took photos of each tooth. I was shocked by my own teeth photos, I need to do a better job at brushing my teeth.The reason I went in was about to schedule for an annual cleaning and cavities fillings that my previous dentist suggested. The doctors went through my X-rays carefully and advised on not getting the fillings done yet. Its different from doctor to doctor, I was glad to find out the good news. I dont need to spend $800 on cavities fillings that arent necessary yet. Then I spoke with the dental hygienist, who gave me a lot of informative info on my oral health concerns. I even booked an annual cleaning appt for the upcoming week with them at the Oakland locationRECSAs soon as I arrived, there were about 3 other ppl waiting in the reception room. Its a small space overall, 3 chairs were spread out corner to corner. Idk if thats enough 6ft social distance apart. When a patient arrives, theyd go directly to the reception desk n they are within close distance to the other patients waiting in the room. I was hoping for a better Covid protocol, like sign in online when patients arrived outside, wait in the car then text them to go in one by one. I felt very close to other patients in the receptionist area.

Worst dentist appointment I have had. First of all, the entire office is an open layout, so there are no doors to the patient rooms. You can hear everything happening, including other patients appointments. Especially with masks and video calling with the doctor, it is actually hard to hear what is being said to you over all the noise. Plus, you should have some privacy in discussing concerns with your provider.Also, the technician working with me was on her first day, and was given no one to shadow and very little training. She did her best, but it seems like a large oversight to just send a new employee to treat a patient by herself. Because I could hear everything, I also could tell that many other employees were having casual conversations and were not with patients while this was happening.The whole thing was chaotic, disorganized, and overwhelming, and I do not plan on going back.

The prices were very reasonable, and the people were phenomenally friendly and helpful! I would recommend. :)

Went it in a for a second opinion. I recently had an emergency dental surgery. That dentist told me that I had multiple cavities, and that I needed multiple surgeries and bone grafts. I felt that I needed a second opinion because I didn’t feel right. At Total Health Dental Care, they did comprehensive imaging and testing, and sat down with me to explain that I didn’t have any cavities, nor needed all those surgeries. Particularly, they explained that if I had the surgery the other dentist mentioned, I would have had nerve damage in my jaw. I just needed a deep cleaning. Seriously, a weight off my shoulders and saved my semester at my current internship.Maybe the only slight negative personal observation I have, is that compared to other dental offices my boyfriend and I have visited, their COVID 19 precautions were not as strict. For example, at other places they would take your temperature at the entrance, doctors would use full PPE -due to the droplets while talking to the patient and during procedures-, clean the full dental chairs and x-ray vests, etc. Nonetheless, they all wore masks and changed their gloves after each patient. They would also clean the tools after each patient as well. Therefore, COVID measures were taken, just wanted to bring that personal opinion. Besides that, would totally recommend the office!

I am actually modifying my review. The employees are very friendly, but their polices/practices are very predatory and misleading. In my case I booked an appointment for a different office, but was FORCED to visit their “welcome center” because I was a new patient. Turns out that welcome center is NOT covered by my insurance. I ended up paying a substantial amount out of pocket for absolutely nothing. Then had to initiate a chargeback to recover my deposit for a future service I decided to cancel.

Beware of the out of network friendly scam, they claimed that teeth cleaning is covered by insurance but in fact insurance only covers up to 80%. They have forms that put client privacy and the use of your photographs for advertisement together, I will be very careful of what you sign. They also ask more personal information than needed. Not recommend such place as they are not open and upfront about their practice and charges! Please be careful!
