I was incredibly impressed by how much this place has changed, it is super clean and feels like a whole new building. It is also super close to campus and the tour was super friendly. Id been to the commons before its new upgrade and I always found the people who live there friendly too. Definitely worth the considering when I move back for fall 2020.
Love the location and my room had a nice view, quite spacious as well.
Great and safe community, staff is very responsive and helpful :)
Like living in an urban-condo, stylish and clean, furnished, no wood, all metro like desks and beds, restrooms always supplied with necessities, very close to Cal, student dining and all amenities. Well lit even after late hours of study groups, safe to walk . Above all, management reliable and considerate to talk to. Kudos esp Gabrielle, contact for housing needs. Recommended for those from far away and don’t know where to go... this is the place!
The onsite manager quickly responded to my message to provide more info and view the place. Cant beat the location for the price and I am pleased with the friendly and professional staff!
The building is nice, good management, flexible move-in dates, staff is very helpful.
Looks incredible compared to before! New management team is awesome!
Dont let the strategically angled photos of this apartment fool you, the apartment complex manages to house large amounts of people in incredibly small rooms. Employ a Fiber Optic Ethernet because their wireless speeds are unusable and fluctuate from slow to non-existent throughout the day. A recent change in management has done little to help with unreachable on-site staff during listed hours. I have never once talked to a non RA personnel and they are impossible to contact via E-mail for questions or concerns. I have had Mail lost on 4 separate occasions having it turn up because they didnt know mail was stored there.Outside of these issues, the place is Safe, Clean (Really skilled and kind cleaning people come through every day or so), centrally located, and great for someone willing to spend ~$1000 to have a bed to sleep in.TL;DR Cons: Management, internet, Price, Size, & MailPros: Location, Safety, & Cleanliness
The only thing this place has going for it is the proximity to campus. My time here was horrible. From having ROACHES in the room and management doing nothing (three separate times it happened), to disgusting toilets because of how gross the other tenants were. On top of that, come move out they charge you unknown costs. A base rent fee of 40$, maid fee of 75$, and another 60$ for I cant remember what. All this was never discussed. If your looking to this place as a last resort...keep looking. You can find better places for WAY cheaper. This place was hell, wouldnt recommend to my enemy.Ps- internet is a joke...nothing high speed about it.
If i could, I would give this place ZERO STARS.Massive cockroaches (so big theyre practically a person), prison-like set up, dismall interior design and gross carpeting. Rooms get filled with bugs, there arent screens on the windows so the flies get in and germinate and continually circle around in your room till they die at the end of the day and their eggs hatch the next day and turn into a fresh new set of flies that still circle your room. Its loud AS HELL at night in the weekends, and theres no air conditioning so if youre hot in the room, then you have to open your window but then that means you get all the noise from telegraph at night, close the window and its a little quieter but youre now uncomfortable with all the heat. The kitchen is fully equipped, but things get stolen so quick and its not worth actually having a kitchen there. Dont live here. For the price, you can find something else thats much better. Dont settle for this if you can. Oh, and management is slow to respond and inneffecient.
Filthy, cramped, overpriced, poorly maintained dumpster of an apartment complex. Do not live here; you will regret it.
Yes, there are cockroaches in this place, given enough time (for us, three weeks).
