Ive been coming to Sandalwood for years. Caitlyn is the best esthetician! From her facials that are out of this world and much more than just a facial to her lash and waxing experience. I wouldnt trust anyone else with these sensitive areas. She makes me feel beautiful and refreshed with every experience. Get the lash extentions and you wont be sorry!

Went here a bit ago, sat in their chairs to get a small cut. The cut was fine however returning home I had found lice in my hair, maybe from the combs or the chairs. Disgusted and appalled I know this was from the salon because coincidentally we had checked my family for lice days before. Not coming here again, and they had to reschedule

First off this is a beautiful space location and decor is fantastic. Secondly the vibes in the salon are just warm and welcoming even durning a pandemic. Erin was able to fit me in last minute and gave me an AMAZING cut & styling. I will be letting anyone who asks know this is a wonderful spot for a stellar experience. Thank you!

I have only been to Sandalwood Salon a handful of times since Im one of those people that hardly get a haircut. Everytime Ive gone to get a cut, its been stellar. Just this past week I sat down with the stylist Molly and she gave me a great cut that I just love! Thank you Molly!! I highly recommend this salon.

Mikayla is a wonderful stylist; I cant say enough good things about her! Shes had to deal with my scalp surgery issues for a year, and has done so with kindness and extreme patience, working with care around delicate areas. She is a hair color specialist, a true artist at the top of her game! I totally trust her suggestions! Deborah handles the front desk and phone with warmth and efficiency, making everyone feel at home. The whole staff is top-notch!

Very professional cut and color, but not what I requested. We discussed style and color at length but didnt seem to connect well.Lovely atmosphere. Great products that are cruelty-free and good for the planet.Review is based on just one visit and Id give them another try with a different person.

I have been going to Toby (the owner) for years now. She does a great job trimming my hair to a style that works with my hair. Her coloring skills are amazing. I always get lots of compliments on my hair. The salon is beautiful and they use Aveda products.

Overall great service here. When I first moved to Bellingham a few years ago I went with this salon because 1)They had a photo of a dog on their homepage (Chubs hangs out in salon!), and 2) Its near my house. I got VERY lucky being randomly assigned to Molly. Not only did I find it cool that shes also from WI, my home state, but she does a fantastic job. She listens and gives great suggestions. Its obvious she really cares about her work. She is detail oriented, takes her times, and double checks everything to make sure your hair is perfect before you leave. The Salon itself is great: clean, well decorated, inviting, and overall very welcoming staff.

I visit Sandalwood to see Mikayla every month, and she is incredible. Shes friendly and attentive, constantly improving her craft, and always listens very well. My hair never looks as good as when Mikayla does it. She is a hair wizard! The vibe in the salon is luxurious, but Ive found the prices reasonable for how much love and time is spent on each client. I could go on and on, but Ill stop here with: 10/10, would recommend. ✨UPDATE: I have also seen Caitlin for facials twice now and can attest to the quality of this service, too! She is so soothing in her nature and is clearly doing her lifes work. The space is comfortable and private, and getting a facial has drastically changed my skin (bye cystic acne)! If youre on the fence, this is your sign: do it! 💓

Got an elemental massage here as a birthday present and it was fabulous! Very quiet, cozy, and private despite being upstairs from the hair salon. I got to pick my own scent of massage oil.

Hesitant to get my hair highlighted, I finally decided to do it and Sharon happen to have an opening in the morning which worked out great for my schedule. She was patient with me and helped select colors to use. I absolutely love the highlights, very natural looking and blended perfectly! Thank you Sharon for an outstanding job and also listening to my life problems, she is a super therapist!!!

Been to a couple salons in town for Brazilians and Dale (female) is by far the best tech Ive encountered. She does a fantastic job! Great price too!!

I went to Sandalwood to have 14 of my hair cut off. Id had long hair my whole life, so I was a little apprehensive about such a major change. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt totally at ease. My stylist, Jen, took great care of me from the time I sat down to the time I walked out the door. She listened to what I wanted, suggested some things to create a flattering new style, and gave me tips to keep my style looking cute. Everybody says my new do is really cute and it looks very natural, like Ive had it forever. Im so pleased with my experience!For the time and attention spent on my hair, the price was right. Its more than I would have paid for an ordinary trim or minor change, but its a fair price for what I got. I know that at other salons in Bellingham, I would have paid much more and received less attention and care. And where else can you find a salon dog as sweet as Chubb? :)

BEST BLONDE IN BELLINGHAM!! I came in here on the recommendation of a good friend (with gorgeous long blonde hair) after years of merry-go-round stylists, bleached out warm hair and an underdone choppy bob. None of which were a good look on me :( I first waited for Toby to get me in her busy schd (this is who my friend sees) and was pleased to get the most meticulous hair cut Ive had in years. Her skill at cut and color is truly impeccable. The color, however, turned much darker than I had expected although it was true to the ash tone I desired. Toby was such a pro and didnt bat an eyelash. She was happy to get me in at her earliest convenience, which was awhile, or have another stylist who specialized in dimensional blonde fix me up sooner. I opted for the sooner and am ELATED!! Enter the amazing, the one, the only KRISTIN STEWART, I have been blond all of my adult life and I have never had my hair done so well. She does a combo foil at the root/ balayage towards the ends that came out natural but striking with the brightest pops framing my face. Ah-ma-zing!! The color is cool and pearly with lots of depth. I think she is a relatively undiscovered and its only bc I book my appts out months in advance anyway that Ill share at the risk that shell get all booked up. Already referring my local friends too her too. Also, there is no better blond than Aveda blonde. It has the best hue and least damage and Ive already been all over town. Go, book an appt today!
