Avis is a ripoff! I was told I would get my deposit back and didn’t! I will NEVER rent from them ever and I definitely do not recommend!
Never had an experience like this at rental car place. IM A PLATINUM member at enterprise.. tried this local branch never again that guy behind the counter is something else....I know all avis employees are not like that they need to look into this branch for some serious underlying issues... I kept it as professional as possible, me my self being a store manager. Now from my experiences I can go to LAX and Rent a car in 5minutes no hassle no sweat come to Lil Ole baton Rouge its a problem... Airports from here on out... Local Jokers...
The staff members were polite. This location provided a good customer service experience. I booked my reservation via Priceline & I must warn you be cautious & confirm your reservation costs in detail if & when you pick up your vehicle. I did not find out about the additional costs until I extended my reservation. Ultimately I was changed twice the amount of my Priceline reservation. & that was not included in my contract.
I went in to rent a right after the hurricane (so they didnt even have power) but i still received great service, very nice people working, great quality vehicle

I was not given specific information by the reservation office and therefore the local office used their guidelines causing me to pay for a 3 day rental instead of 2. When making the reservation I was not told that when I gave my credit card number that I was preparing. When my vehicle repair took less time, I called to drop the additional driver. I was told by reservation I couldnt drop the additional driver, but could return early and would be credited. Your 24 hour charge cycle was explained, and based on that I went in on 6/24 at 8am to return the vehicle. I was told by Terri, that because I prepaid her location does not follow the 24 hour charging, and any prepaid rental is not eligible for credit/refund at her location. If this matter cant be resolved, I and every RN who would ask me about Avis car rental in the future would be told to go elsewhere!
Excellent service, I had a problem with my vehicle, the manager (maybe owner) Mark was fantastic. Fixed the problem and was very helpful. Not from the area, but would totally recommend this location to anybody. Thanks again Mark.

No one was available at the drop off booth. There were written instructions to go to the budget counter or the terminal. There was a sign at that counter that said be right back but no one returned. Then, my husband went to the terminal. Still no one. This took over 30 min, missing our drop off time. We called corporate who directed us to input the keys in a drop off box. I was waiting back at the drop off with my infant and all our belongings while my husband searched for help. I couldnt leave because I couldnt carry it all plus the and ended up peeing on myself because there was not a bathroom there and no one to take our keys. Worst experience ever.
I can not say enough great things about this Avis and the outstanding customer service. Although I have rented from this Avis multiple times (without any problem) my most recent rental is definitely the above and beyond kind of customer service that the world is missing right now. I have been dealing with a nightmare of waiting on car repairs with a dealership. I have been in a rental for over two months. I initially went to Enterprise (due to having a code for a discount) only to be pulled from the rental after 30 days with no explanation other than an out of town drivers license. I quickly went to Avis and vowed to never go back to Enterprise. I went in to Avis to renew my contract and happened to have a conversation with Mark, the owner. He, without my asking or hesitation offered to match the rate and gave me the rate for the duration of the rental. Although the discount was nice, it was more of the kind nature and the break that I needed in the circumstances that I have been dealing with that made this so much more meaningful. I will continue to give my business any day to the little guy and pay a little of a higher rate rather than the terrible customer service at Enterprise any day. -Andrea
The whole process from picking up to dropping off was exceptional and especially for a last minute need.
Avis is a rip off I reserved a car for 3days and upon returning the Manager Mark asked what did I spray in the car and why so I told him I sprayed lysol/freshener in the car I told him because its Covid-19 and he stated its against policy to alter the smell however although he insisted I stay inside while he check the car out I came out anyway so afterwards everything was complete no issues with the return so I got my receipt and left the next day my card was charged 82.37 I called and ask why they chargeing my card and wS told for a smoking fee so I went up there to talk to. Mark and he lied stateting ashes was found all in the car I said thats a lie you didnt say anything about issues with the car besides the spray so then he say I dont have time to talk im busy you got a problem call customer service however the following day I got charged again $250 and still no one can tell me what this charge is for I dont recommend avis to NOBODY they stealing from your account
Female Rental Agent failed to greet upon me entering location to pick up vehicle & return vehicle. Agent also failed to inform me Avis authorizes $150.00 deposit in additional to the amount of rental. Location failed to inform $150.00 fee @ location. Renters only know when checking pending authorization on credit cards used @ the time of rental.
Car was not cleaned, multiple visual defects and had a hard pull to the right. When asked to exchange cars they were sold out. There were no other options.
This is the worst Rental Company I have ever dealt with. Made a reservation ahead of time. They call me as I’m pulling up into the parking lot. To tell me that they are sold out and are canceling my reservation!!!!! So now I’m stuck without a rental to leave for vacation. Who cancels someone the day of and actual minutes before their reservation!!!!!! Employee did not care at all!!! Said if I wanted to complain to call the 800 customer service number.
The price I was charged was different than my reservation. The people at the location seemed unconcerned, but they did give me a 1-800 number to call to dispute the charges. I was still charged more than the agreed upon price. The car I received was not the size requested. The price was different upon checkout. No way Im ever using Avis again !!
Although short staffed, my rental agent, Mark was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and swift with hearing my needs and accommodating them. Because of him, I will definitely be a returning customer (Enterprise is going to be upset with me).

I had reservations for 4:00, My payment was processed at 4:20 and didn’t receive a car until after 5. I reserved a mid size SUV and nothing close to it was on the lot, so I ended up with a mini van( of course that wasn’t cool for my teenager.The employee acted as if he didn’t care, every question I asked he didn’t know🙄.
I made a reservation online. The only car listed as being available was a sports car for a WHOLE lot more than I was hoping to pay. I had just been screwed over by enterprise (I had a reservation with them but they messed it up when I landed and couldn’t give me a car) but reserved the car anyway because I didn’t have an option. I woke up early the next morning, ordered an Uber, and was literally walking in the front door of Avis as I received a phone call saying Avis didn’t have a sports car for me. I spoke with an agent and he was able to get me a car (I’m extremely grateful) but insisted on charging me the same rate as the sports car (I feel like the victim of a bait and switch). Additionally, the car reeked of cigarettes and my girlfriend and I both hate that smell. If you can adjust my fee to reflect the car I actually rented and give me a fair deal then I’d be happy to write reviews about how Avis bailed me out of a bad experience with Enterprise instead of writing the bad reviews about the bait and switch I feel the victim of.

The vehicle that I was given had a crack on the windshield. The following day after receiving rental the crack began to spread across the front windshield in the middle. I called the location where I rented from but was transferred to the national customer service number to be told I needed to contact Roadside Assistance. I stayed on hold with Roadside Assistance for over 20 minutes before I just hung up. I continued to drive the vehicle with the obstructing line across windshield because I was out of town. Upon my return of the vehicle, no monetary concession was made to my bill due to having to use a vehicle that was below the standard of a rental. I was not satisfied.
Nicholas was very unprofessional. Took money off ny card & still refused to give me a rental. Told me it was 3-7 days before I can get a refund. Horrible customer service will never go back

Service today was awful! November 2, 2020 at 8:01 am I dropped off the vehicle the clerk was not friendly at all. He asked for my keys and looked up my rental. He said, I see you extended the vehicle for another day, if I was you I would keep the rental because you may or may not get your money back because you returned it earlier after you extended your rental! I replied, Well sir, I would like to return the car today because I have no use for it, Thank You! He proceeds by saying, well I will check your mileage because you may be charged by mileage I responded by saying, this was not on my contract nor was it said to me when I picked up the car He said, Right, I wasnt the one who did your contract and you asked about mileage not me!! I said, You mentioned charged by mileage sir so I wanted to be clear as a customer He said, whatever I will go check your mileage as hes walking out of the door I followed him but he allowed the door to close in my face so I told him that I will be reaching out to customer service ASAP! He said, whatever Case#36442252
After driving 2 hours to pick up a car and having called ahead they totally messed up the rental. We left without one.

Unless this place changed...they are the worst Ive ever experienced. I PREPAID IN FULL for a vehicle to have it reserved for a family vacation. We couldnt pick it up until 5 because my husband didnt get off of work until 4:30. When we arrived they didnt have a car for us. They said they may have one coming in at 6. We waited. Guess what...nothing showed up. They had no cars for Avis anywhere in the city except a 12 passenger van. In the end, we had to go out to the airport, rent a more expensive car from another company because our vacation started the next day and we had to be out early. Avis said they would reimburse and pay anything extra. Guess what...they reimbursed, however they didnt pay the overage of the overpriced airport rate. It ended up costing us an extra $175. I will never do business with Avis ever again.

I have been renting a car from Avis continuously for the last 2-3 months every time I extend my rental using the app I get charged and when I return the rental I get charged again. I get double charged every time

Nick was very helpful assisting me with my rental. I was able to get on the road fast and with hardly any time wasted as experienced at other rental companies Ive used in the past.
Things are ineffective and inefficient at the Siegen Lane location — it’s literally just a satellite/shell office with no cars. All cars come from the BR airport, and the transport of cars from the airport to this location is haphazard at best. After speaking with the (fairly rude) staffperson at the desk, I ascertained that the car pickup time on one’s reservation is definitely meaningless, and the car type reserved is also somewhat meaningless. She repeated “I don’t know because we get our cars from the airport” so many times to me that the manager who was obviously within earshot finally (thankfully) intervened because she was handling the situation so poorly. We did eventually get the car we requested (a little over two hours later than our reservation), but next time we will be using the Enterprise location right across the street. They store their cars there, and their agents are always polite.

The car drove well. There was a strong mens cologne smell that lasted for 2 days. The people at Avis/Budget were extremely nice and helpful. We received a discount because of the inconvenience.

I wish there is something less than one star. The worst car rental experience ever. I did the reservation online and the payment showed on process. When I arrived the older guy looked unwelcoming and I felt like he will find an excuse for not giving my the car. He said Budeget. I said no Avis. He asked for the drivers license, card used for payment, and the full social security number, which was weird. He said I need to run credit check, I said no problem because I am confident of my credit score 749. I even pulled my score from credit karma and showed him the pdf. He insisted on running credit check and input my information wrong to say I couldn’t find your credit record.I just figured out he was running out of cars and a lady that he called her by name showed up to take the car I supposed to have.The worst and disrespectful experience I ever had with car rentals. This guy should leave.
At my preferred Avis rental location, 5760 Siegen Lane, the staff is excellent, kind and courteous, especially Nick, Josh & Mark the Manager. They go above & beyond.
Normally Avis would be my first choice, but today I will no longer be a customer supporting Avis Rental. Upon arriving I called Avis customer service and explained I had lost my driver licences but had my temporary drivers licence that Georgia DMV provides until the official copy comes in the mail. I also had another identification and as well as my credit card. Which they said those item would be fine. When I got to the location I provided the representative with what I had. He looked in a book that had a list of driver licences and since he did not like the way my temporary driver licence look and that it was out of state he would not accept it. I even pulled up a picture and my DMV real time record to show my drivers licence was real and valid. Maybe these things should be communicated so that customer time would not be wasted.

Instead of trying to listen to what I was asking, she kept talking over me and ended the conversation with “I don’t get what you’re trying to ask me” and hung up. Very impatient and rude. Will be taking my business to Enterprise where service is actually decent!
Awesome staff and service! Very helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. This is my go-to location for car rentals. Since I am there at least once a month I have gotten well acquainted with the team there.

Good people, good service, nice cars (check before you drive off that youve got a non-smoking car), BUT - the hours listed on the side panel of a Google Chrome search page are WRONG. They are NOT open until 2:00 on Sundays. They close at 1:00 (if, however, you arrive after 1:00, there is a competitor across the street :)
My experience at Avis Rent A Car was the worst. I called over the phone to booked a car. When I arrived I give them my name. They pulled up my researvations. For payment, I pulled of a cash credit card (which my part-time job pays me on). The reprenter took my credit card and said it didnt go through because it was an cash credit card. Well, I asked what type of credit card will be needed to process my payment. He stated a debit card. I handed him my debit card and he refuse to take it becuase hes not allow to use two credit cards. Well, I asked if you knew that was the policy why didnt you tell my that from the beginning BEFORE you tried to process the cash credit card. He didnt have anything to say after that. I called there customer service to see if I can get any type of assistant with this matter. The customer service lady asked to speak to Mr. Mark Hotard, he told the lady that my card decline, which was a LIE. Mark Hotard witness the entire situation from the beginning and did not informed the younger (new) representer about the credit card policy. Mark Hotard attitude was very nasty and arrogant. I asked is there anyone else I can speak to in regard to this matter, he replied Theres no one else you can talk to besides me and AT THIS POINT I AM AVIS He was not helpful in anyway.

Reserved a vehicle 2 weeks prior to a trip I was planning, and wanted to square up a few things before I went in for pick up. Called and spoke Tom who answered the phone with a vacuum running in the background and had to keep asking me to repeat myself. After inquiring on the issues that I questioned, Tom acted as if he had no clue as to what was going on. He then put me on the phone with Keldra who claimed to be the location supervisor but when I explained my inquiries to her, she seemed uncertain of the answers. Anyway instead of advising me to just cancel my reservation, Keldra assured me that once I arrived to the location that she would resolve any issues that came about. The day of the trip, two hours before I had planned to leave, I went in to pick up the car. Keldra was not able to fix any issues that had arised and once asked certain questions, she was very ignorant in answering, and avoided the question with an I dont know. Asked to speak to the head guy Mark who brushed it off to a Jeremy Andre...with no reply from either person. Horrible people that does horrible business. And a cancelled trip.
