Have repeatedly called and been hung up on after a few rings. Completely unprofessional. I don’t know who they have answering the phone, but they need to look for a new job.
Got turned away from this place because I showed my license through LA Wallet. LA Wallet is equivalent to a physical license and businesses must accept it as a legal form of identification thanks to a new law implemented December 22, 2020 (HB 54). Customer service at this place was awful from the moment I walked in. When we asked where their “rule/mandate” is that you must have a physical drivers license, the rude employee said he doesn’t have to show us any such mandate. I guess he doesn’t know he’s legally required to accept digital identification. I couldn’t get in touch with anyone over the phone to complain or try to remedy the situation. I’m so over U-Haul.
Worst place in the world. Had a guaranteed reservation. No truck when I arrived. Extremely rude and treated me like garbage. Poor customer service to say the least.
This location was great! Quick and efficient service. Also felt very clean and socially distant due to Covid. I reserved my U-box ahead of time and picked it up without any issues. The owner explained the process and made sure my box was prepared for the journey to California. He even called to let me know it was loaded on the truck and on the way. Great experience and very fair prices!
Owner was accommodating and great. The truck we got broke down right after we got it but the guy immediately gave us a bigger truck with extra miles and days. Great customer service!

I rented a moving truck and dolly from this location yesterday.The Good: The check-in desk agent and outside dispatch agent were efficient, courteous, competent, and friendly. The check-out and check-in processes were easy and quick. The total cost for the equipment was reasonable. The store was also well-stocked with moving supplies.The Bad: The store was understaffed for a busy Saturday morning and had only two employees from what I could see. Fortunately, I was the second in line, but there were about three or four more groups of customers in line behind me.The Ugly: The cargo area of the truck was delivered to me all dirty and stinky as though the people who used it prior to me had hauled wet, moldy garbage to the dump with the truck. There was dried black grime in the cargo area that looked as though it had dried after once being wet. The cargo area had dried up by the time I received the truck, and I should have returned it to ask for a different truck. Being pressed for time, I bought some plastic painters’ drop cloths to lay down in the cargo area so my contents would not get contaminated with whatever nasty substances had been on the floor of the cargo area.I think I will just spend a little extra money next time and get a truck from a more reputable company, like Penske, Enterprise, or Ryder.
This is one of the better U-haul locations. Its U-haul -- you get the U-haul experience: some customers wont return equipment on time so you wont get it when you need it, certain products have defects (regardless of location), etc... That said, the multiple times Ive rented here, the staff have been helpful and efficient, and its been quick and easy. Theyve even given me extra service or discounts when things havent gone my way.
Unorganized. Sold us the wrong hitch for the car and we had to drive back to get the correct one. They told us we had to get a welder to attach the hitch so we took it to a welder. The welder attached it like any other hitch and said that UHAUL just didnt want to do it. Then a couple days before pick up date UHAUL called and said they didnt have our size UHAUL for us (that we reserved!) and we would have to go to a different location the day before our pick up time. They said they would give us an extra day on our rental return since it was picked up a day earlier, then THEY messed up the paperwork so when we dropped it off it was considered LATE! When we actually were told we had a full extra day. This charged a late fee.Then when we returned blankets and the moving dolly, no one recorded it in baton rouge UHAUL so I was charge in NY $156 for the equipment. I have never experienced a more ridiculous and unorganized company. I dont know how you run a business.
Friendly staff answering all questions with patience. It was my first time renting a Uhaul so I was nervous. Ran into a prob with renting and paying for equipment after picking it up but the night staff tried everything they could trying different techniques, a different equipment and were open and honest with their assistance. I was very upset almost in tears but after calling the next day to address my concern the manager was understanding and listened to complaint. He is a man of his word. Open Hearted and it reflects with his team.
Helpful staff and seemed to have a lot of trailers/trucks on hand the couple of times I’ve been there.

I picked up a truck and some boxes/supplies from this location today, and the young man that helped me was extremely patient and helpful. He even carried our boxes out to the truck for us. The price was also better than expected.

Renting a U-Box there. Not all employees are fully trained on those. Took about an hour to be able to get to my box on the first day.
To say this has been a miserable experience would be an understatement and a disservice to the community. They are not only attempting to play around with my finances, they put people lives at risk and wasted my time more than Id ever be ok with.It starts July 5th when I reserved a trailer for use on July 12th. I went to pick up the trailer on the 12th only to be told by the location they didnt have one and that my reservation didnt mean they would.I was sent 45 minutes across town to pick up another.The one I received was possibly the worst maintained trailers Ive ever had the displeasure of using. Incredibly rusted, low/leaking tires, and a sway that wouldnt go away. I couldnt drive over 60 miles an hour on the interstate or the sway would try to pull me out of the laneWe ended up making 4 of the 10 hour drive we had to make before the tire finally let go after having to air it up twice. I was lucky enough to get the vehicle off of the trailer before it went all the way flat.I looked up local U-Haul places nearby and drove over there to swap out the trailer, the new one was FAR better. No sway, no rust, perfection.We return Monday the 16th, I go to drop off the trailer at the main Baton Rouge location as I knew I didnt have the same car hauler I left with and wanted to make sure there was no issue.I got there at 7am and asked for the manager top discuss the reservation issue and trailer issue, and was instructed to go to the place I picked up the first one from (45 minutes out of my way) and they would check it in. and that the manager would be in at 8. So I do, and there is no one there, and they dont open till 9am. So I drive BACK to the main Baton Rouge location where I ask for the Manager Kevin. (Its not about 8) Im told he wont be in till 8:30 and I HAVE to drop the trailer off at the other location no matter if someone is there or not. So I do.I drive BACK to the Baton Rouge location, its now about 8:45. Kevin is finally in, where we talk about the whole situation and he apologies for everything and offers me a $100 refund, I accept.I see later that day where the whole amount of $275 was refunded, I figured he had made the choice to refund it all and left it alone.Then comes July 18th, where I am billed $206 by U-Haul for no reason I can see. I call up the U-Haul in Baton Rouge, no answer. I drive up there and of course, Kevin isnt there. I call his cell, he tells me he isnt in front of a computer and there is nothing he can do and he will look into it in the AM.So today, the 19th, I call back up there AGAIN. They answer, and I am told that I have to call the 1-800 number and that he cant do anything and wont.Fantastic Customer Service Id say.Avoid this place and their products.
At first the facility was great, and the employees were awesome! We moved 5 hours and rented a 20 ft truck. This is the location. That we dropped the truck off at. Since we needed to store some belongings temporarily till we got our house, we decided to use the month free storage. We did decline the insurance because we figured that the storage facilities would be in good enough shape that the only thing that could do damage would be a hurricane or tornado... and since we only need it for 3 weeks max, the chances of either were extremely unlikely. We went back to our storage unit the very next day to get belongings we needed, and discovered that the unit LEAKED terribly, from a light rain!! My husband talke to the employees about it, since simple upkeep of the unit would have prevented this. (We had to caulk the leaking spots). My husband had to call into the u haul hotline, and got NO help. In fact, he kept getting hung up on. Finally someone told him that we need to post a reveiw for anything to get taken care of. This is ridiculous!!! Since we are trying to buy a house, we have very little funds to live on and cannot pay to rent a different facility. We would greatly appreciate a call from u haul to sort this situation out. If need be, we will need to call the BBB

I called and complained. These guys are the most unfriendly, unprofessional, lack of service individuals I have ever met. When I first walked into to rent the truck the guy behind the counter acted as if I was bothering him with my presence. He mumbled though the entire rental process and became upset when I asked him to repeat himself numerous times. After I checked the damage on the truck I returned in the office and watched both Customer service reps chat between themselves. When I alerted them I had a concern with 5 oclock traffic and driving a large truck and that I really needed to complete this process and get on the road. I was treated to Sir we will get to you when we can, we have other customers and we get to you once we are done with them. They were done with all the customers and they were just chatting.The truck was great and worked prefect for the job I needed. The price was also reasonable.When I returned the truck @ 4:52PM, 8 min before closing, the office was locked and the customer service rep was sitting behind the counter counting money and listening to an Ipod. I beat on the window and when I finally got his attention I asked if I could get a quick estimate of my total charges based on miles and number of days rented. He laughed at me and said they were closed and that I could check my bank statement tomorrow to see how much I was charged My estimate would have taken him 2 Min. And it was not 5 PM yet.I informed him that service at this location was terrible and that I was calling Uhaul to file a formal complaint. He laughed, shut the door, and put his ear phones back into his ear.I am dissatisfied to say the least.Robert From Baton Rouge LA

My entire experience with this location and Ubox was unprofessional and very stressful. I had little confidence at many times during my business with uhaul that my belongings would be safe. I had to write my phone number with a permanent marker on one of the Uboxs I had filled up and then pray that I would see it again someday because they could not register the ubox under my name in their system properly. Hours of my life waiting at the store was wasted while I waited for them to fix the computer issue that I was told multiple times would be fixed before the next time I came in, but never was fixed (I had 4 visits to this location). Over $400 was charged to me without authorization, and it took months (over 6 calls, totaling over an hour of my time) to get it back. My 2 boxes even went to 2 different locations in NC, and I was not given any receipt telling me where one of them went. All of these issues and time wasted, and they didnt have the decency to discount anything either. Nothing was done right and I wouldnt recommend Ubox or this location to my worst enemy...

My trailer rental was cancelled with no notification and no other locations in Baton Rouge had a trailer available so I had no other options to tow my vehicle. Terrible service
Friendly service, but none of the locations have accurate information on what rentals they have available, which is frustrating. Rent a week ahead if you can.
