If I could give no stars, this complex would definitely be well deserving of it. I lived in this property for just about seven years while completing my studies. The review I am providing, is one that I wish I would have received before signing their lease years ago. I strongly recommend home seekers complete their diligence, research, and go out to this property a few times, on different days of the week, and different times of the day to gain a full understanding of what you will be signing up for in advance.First, there are only two garbage cans on the property. Both are used by adjacent house renters near the complex. People even drive to the property just to dump their trash. The garbage can be so overloaded that tenants and others just drop their trash on the ground surrounding the garbage cans. Its nasty and only adds to already rat infestation that the complex has.Next, If you are dead set on living in this complex, please expect random violence. I have seen it all, a young man was shot to death sitting in his car right in front of the entrance walkway to Kia Ct. Tenants have reported robberies, cars being vandalized and apartments broken into. I myself have reported different crime that I have experienced on the property, how my children feared to come out and play, and have also requested a transfer, only be told that violence in the community is not a valid reason for consideration of a transfer. The leasing office staff are malicious, have no empathy or sympathy for any of the tenants. Expect notifications of inspection, extermination, etc., after they have already enter your rented spaced to do whatever. (Youve been warned)Repairs, Oh, thats a joke to the leasing staff. In January of 2018, I reported that my cabinet shelves and doors were falling apart. Any one with eyes could see that the cabinets were old as dirt and required replacement. In October of 2018, the leasing office property manager stated to me that new cabinets was not in their budget for the year, that I would have to wait til January 2019. I moved, they can provide the new tenants with new cabinets. (Going directly to the maintenance men does not help, they will tell you to submit your issue through the leasing office staff). Now, there is a laundry room in both courts, please beware, they are filthy and random people from the surrounding community use the wash machines as toilets. Do not, I repeat, do not wash your families clothing in the complex wash machines. Also, if you or family and friends visit that drive and visit you frequently, you might want to take precaution and warn friends and family not to park on the back parking lot. The leasing office has a contract with a local tow company and they are the DEA of the parking lot, even if you are a paying resident.Lastly, this is also stated above, the staff in that office ( 906 Caroline St, Suite 101) are malicious. I want to tell everyone to just run for the hills and never look back at this property. However, I understand being in a desperate position. If, you have decided to reside in this complex, my next few sentences, you may want to take a notice of.Cover Your A$$. Always, get everything in writing and submit everything in writing. This is very important, they will lie and say you never gave, submitted anything to them and also lie and say that they provided you with all the information you may have required. Again, COVER YOUR A$$, If you plan to lease from this property.Update: After moving out of the apartment, the property owners tired me, by imposing a $1500 bill, not returning my security deposit, and not including me on the walkthrough. I wasnt having it. I sued the property owners in court by myself, without a lawyer. And, mind you they had a big time lawyer.Moral of this review, always document and file everything when dealing with Jovan Coleman the property manager and Tameika the receptionist.
Though I had an unfortunate loss of a job, and had to vacate the premises, I enjoyed the comfort of my one bedroom apartment. Im an amputee and I had an apartment on the first floor.
My niece just recieved her keys today. A minor hiccup but the leasing office was great . Thank you Tameka and the leasing office property manager, for resolving there issue!
Called to grab information on a home they posted on Craigslist. They posted a unit that they don’t even have available to get people to call in. Then after being put on hold twice, the person had no idea the sq footage of the units they do have available. So they posted an apartment on Craigslist and lied about the sq footage of it. Ghetto people working and they lie. Completely ridiculous. Don’t even bother people
Its cool to live here, the staff is nice, the maint is quick, and the neighborhood is gettin better
Do yourself a favor and DONT MOVE HERE! Its mice infested. Had to call 311 in order to get the problems taken care of. We pay our rent on time so I would expect to have things do in a timely manner WRONG!
