This is a very beginner friendly space. As a first timer, I liked it a lot.

God blessed me to get one of there ads in the mail and I signed up on July 21 and ever since then, I have been restarted to being more motivated and dedicated to getting back to being more healthier and fit. The atomsphere, equipment,staff and the people I meet along the way meet my high standards. I am grateful and thankful for this gym. I pray that this place stays protected and safe from any outside force.

Always clean and i always get the same employee who checks me in hes always nice. The people who go here hardly clean the machines so i always wipe before and after. Also you see employees cleaning and stocking

WOMEN PLEASE READ!!!! Not safe ESPECIALLY not for WOMEN. HOT SPOT FOR THIEVES, they broke in to my car and took my purse then tried to use it at Target. THEY WATCH YOU GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. Cops said it’s not a safe lot and they get constant calls about stolen vehicles and break ins and they have 0 cameras on lot!!! BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!

Its a nice place however they dont enforce proper use of Face mask and people whipping down the machines after they are finished using them I found this and it was gross. I told the front desk and they did nothing. And its always the same people who do this and dont wear the mask right so its not hard for the employees to identify the people but they choose not tell them.

I love this place. There are cleaning stations everywhere to disinfect the equipment after you use it or before if you want. The equipment is top notch and the employees are helpful and encouraging.

Great place to workout, friendly helpful staff, grateful that they have reopened! They are doing their best to make accommodations to workout safely due to Covid and Im happy to say that every member I saw was complying with the face mask, cleaning up machines after use, etc.Be prepared tho, this location is BUSY! I went early on weekday afternoon and there was a wait time for machines then, so you can imagine how busy they gonna be around 5 p.m. getting off work time!Big Thank You to their Staff for all they do to allow us members back to workout!

I stopped by past 1AM. Antonio and his female co worker for the nights shift were accommodating and friendly- made my visit at the gym feel safe and welcomed. Facilities are kept clean, including the restroom. Thank you.

I liked it not very much equipment but its cool other than that.

I wish Planet Fitness has an indoor basketball court. But, it is a great place to work out, since no other fitness centers and places have an indoor basketball court in Bakersfield, CA.

For a gym planet fitness is decent, but if youre looking to bench, squat, or deadlift alot of weight they do not have enough for you to.

I feel this is a great gym i love to go spend an hour or more their get some sweat going. Also i feel comfortable here.

This place really changed my mind about planet fitness, such great friendly staff and are very helpful. I’m out of town for work from Sacramento and they did everything to feel welcome even when I couldn’t check into hotel they gave me free massage tokens and let me hangout until I was able to check in. Would recommend coming here to anyone 5 stars

Pretty clean and good equipment. The music is god awful tho. All they played was screamo and sad country rock

Best gym in town hands down

It was a pretty clean and not to many people in there at about 2pm, which was nice.

Good gym besides the fact that the smith machines are very close together and close to the wall, not much space to move around.

So this location let me have a walk through and check out the equipment, Very Impressed! Joined immediately. The Niles location wouldnt let me check out location, so I didnt bother joining there. The guy at front desk was very helpful in making my decision, need more people like that!

I signed up today. The one I used was clean and well kept. Everyone was required to wear a mask and social distance so I felt generally safe. I also appreciate that the membership I bought didnt require a commitment beyond a 0 year contract. That being said people are working out and breathing hard and it is a risky environment. Great place to work out, though.

My daughter joined this gym off of California. Its a great place to get fit.

Staff was great . Tanning beds were good.

They are doing a good job on sanitizing and social distancing. They have sanitizing stations and have limited amount of equipment to help keep people from gathering. The gym overall is pretty clean and it makes you feel like home.

I usually have a good experience at PF. they are friendly and very helpful. Its kept clean even before COVID. I think more cleaning stations would be better.

I got a workout in. It is what it is. I dont care much for weight droppers and all that but this is a bit too sedate. I mean, no bench press. I figure that says it all

Ive been to a few different gyms in town, and so has my wife. We both really like this spot. Best equipment thats keep up and well kept up facilities.

Great place with an outstanding staff

I want to expose my own experience in this re-opening of the Planet fitness gym located here in the street of California. I have experienced that they do not have a quality of social distancing or the new rules of zanitacion. We know that we should not let our guard down until they find the cure for the coronavirus. People enter without mouth covers, and they leave without mouth covers and we are all close to each other. There is no person monitoring the temperature before entering the gym. The planet fitness protocol of social distancing is very lacking and in responsible. Im going to stop attending this gym, because I dont feel safe.

I’ve been a club member for about two years and this is by far my favorite location of PF. It’s always clean and the staff is very helpful and nice. It’s pretty big which makes it comfortable to workout in different areas.

Really recommend this awesome gym. Clean, friendly and all the equipment that I love 👍 I’ve been coming during all hours from afternoons, evenings and graveyard for over a year. And, each time everything is clean and presentable. Very comfortable and inviting 👍

Its a bit crowned around 3 & 5, basically around the time people get off work, which totally makes sense. Lacks heavier weight and needs real squat racks. However, i do love coming here and getting a good pump. I avoid the busy times and everything is perfect. Love the staff, they do well. Bathrooms are well kept and so is the gym floor as a whole.Over all, im fine with it.

The staff is always friendly and I always see someone cleaning there. I have the black card membership and the area for those members is awesome. We can always find a treadmill and I feel very comfortable there.

Hot water took long time to get warm and became cold after few minutes.SHOWER HOT WATER SUCKS !I dont need to speak with the Manager. You the owner you fix it properly and stop being cheap! Even the sinks have no hot water!

I enjoy coming to work out here, lots of equipment to use, help when you need it, and much to my suprise, everyone sanitizes after use.

Very clean facilities, always available equipment, never over crowded. Peak times from what Ive experienced is week days after 5. Bathrooms are wonderful and clean, plenty of lockers. The workers are kind and they workout there too, fun to see them enjoying their work place.I never feel judged or stared at whlist pumping that Iron!

Theyre open 24/7!

Nobody bothers you here. Clean up stations are everywhere and people are encouraged to clean each station as they exit it. The total body enhancement red light therapy vibration platforms are here if youre vip.

I know a lot of serious lifters bag on Planet Fitness but I have always liked it here. They do not have freeweights but they have lifting racks, which is good enough for me. The staff is always friendly, the facility is very clean.

I love PF. This location on California Avenue in Bakersfield next door to the Barns & Noble bookstore.

Love the gym. The staff is attentive. Only fall back is having a stalker on Mondays. The gym should be a place off freedom.

Most planet fitness that I go to are usually very clean and well kept. But this one is exceptionally spotless. They excel at customer service and guest needs. It the gym I call home.

Best Planet Fitness in Kern County. Everything is nice and new so I guess thats why. Plenty of Dumbbells which is great and they have a bunch of resistance bands which I love.

Love the gym. Too many cars have been broken into on the White Lane location. Havent tried the one on California yet. I heard a rumor that another one is opening somewhere on the east side. Anyone know when it will open and where the new location will be?

I went last night and the place looks incredible! First thing i notice, all the equipment and machines are brand new. I live North of Bakersfield. I was going to White Lane Planet Fitness. Im happy they open this one because its much closer to drive. Overall, looks great!Yes they are 24 hours, I went in at 12am-3am.

Had a tour of the facility, the associate was helpful. Still considering membership options. The black card membership seems like the way to go.

I love this Planet Fitness location. Friendly staff, its always clean and if you need help or have questions, theyre more than willing to help. I go later in the evening so its never too crowded. They have plenty of cardio and strength training machines. I enjoy their Total Body Enhancement workout. It has really helped shape my legs with 0 impact on my two wonky knees. Their massage beds and lounges are nice too to help you unwind after your workout. My only wish is that theyd pull that lunk alarm for the people that just sit on the equipment and play on their phones when there are people waiting to use them.
