Contrary to all the terrible reviews, I had a fantastic experience. I arrived at the booth at 9am, directly inside main entrance by restaurants, and was met by Ryan, who processed my online booking in 5mins and walked me to our mustang, as advertised. I then returned the car early, where Ryan met me at the car and our handover took less than 30seconds.Thank you Ryan and 5* for this experience from my perspective.

The only reason this is getting 1 star is because 0 is not an option. I have had nothing but issues with this rental process. I was ensured that I would have a rental car, took and Uber an hour to get here, only to be treated like absolute garbage by the rental associate who said they had nothing available. Steer clear!

I emailed Avis a picture of a dirty car that was given to me, chewing gum and a bunch of trash The customer before me nasty face mask. They didnt clean the car, but charged me a bunch of money.

The car I reserved was not ready after receiving multiple emails saying that it was. I ended up getting a different car a few hours after my reservation and was late to a non-refundable event we had planned. That same day I was told I could come back and get a different car the next morning because the car we had received was smelly and road horribly. I arrived the next morning to receive a new car and found out that the car I was promised was already taken. To correct this they sent me to another Avis to pick up a new car. After spending 2 hours going out of my way to get a different car, we got on the highway with the car and found out there was no air conditioning. A 90° day with two kids in the car and no air conditioning is not a good thing.. I called Avis customer service and they were useless but reassured me there were no cars available near my location. We ended up stopping at a different Avis and they were able to get us another car that had air conditioning.

Worst Avis ever! Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve rented hundreds of cars from Avis over the years and this is easily the worst pick up AND drop off experience I’ve ever had. For pick up, I had an appt at 8am. When I arrived, nobody was there. I had to wait until 8:30 for someone to show up and then they told me all they have is a “dirty Kia Forte” or a 12 passenger van. Called customer service and all they could do was tell me to wait since no other locations in Miami had cars available. For drop off I had to wait another 45 minutes for someone to arrive to drop off my car. Called customer service and again all they told me I could do was wait. Beyond frustrated!

The Avis office in Aventura is IMPOSSIBLE to find. When we called the head office for directions an automated answering service just gave us the address. The office is inside the Mall with no signage, the answering service should have specific information on how to find the office, This is a huge mall and we spent 90 minutes just trying to find it. Finally saw an Avis representative who was extremely unhelpful and gave us half hearted directions without any hint of even trying to be helpful. Once we found the office the Avis agent was unhelpful to the point of almost rude. The first car we were given had the tire pressure light on - how was this not spotted before being rented out and smelled of smoke. The agent denied the presence of smoke smell and we had to insist that he wrote it on our copy of the receipt so that we werent charged the $250 fee. Plus as non smokers we didnt want a car that smelled of smoke. Obviously driving a car with the tire pressure light on was not an option. The second car we were given was excellent and we had a great journey. More training is definitely needed on how the agents should speak to customers!

Worst experience ever with a car rental agency. I will never rent from avis again. Did not have a car for me in spite of a reservation. Insisted I take a 12 or 14 seater truck and exchange the next day at airport or closer location to my condo. Vehicle so large would not fit in our garage. When called customer service they told me there were cars at closer location the next day. When we got there not only did they not have a car but the keyosk did not have anyone there and there was no avis sign on it either. Had to go back to airportfor a car. Waisted 4 hours of my vacation with avis. Never again

Ryan was the employee that assisted me on getting my rental and I have to say I was truly pleased since its my first time renting thru this company. He was very nice, professional and showed great customer service. I was very happy I received what I asked for due to the holidays being really busy. Avis is top on my list next time Im in need of a rental so I definitely will be returning. Keep up the great work.

The service was very bad, there was only one person dealing with a few clients, and each client takes a good time to serve.Im not sure if the guy serving the counter was having a hard day or if he is always in such a bad mood.Also, they have very few cars, the client just before us had reserved a car though hasnt pray in advance and they did not have a car for him.So do prepay for your car if you are considering renting a car at the Aventura Mall.

There are a lot of problems with your Aventura location. 1) they dont answer the phone. called twice and both times got rerouted to corporate 2) Location is impossible to find. signage stinks and cannot be read when entering mall. no one tells you its a kiosk. no one tells you what stores it is near. 3) no one was at kiosk when we finally found it. 4) car was VERY difficult to find- had to walk to a parking garage with NO map and no on there to direct you. 5) they said 1/4 tank was in car. it was only 1/8 tank. had to put gas the next day.

DISAPPOINTED.Yes, very loud. It has been the worst almost-renting experience ever.How is it even possible that after trying real hard of renting and after receiving confirmation of my reserve and after all the issues to get at office on time to pick a simple car... we arrive and simply: NO, there is not any car for you, too bad... start looking some where else.And even when I called customer service phone somebody just said: go to an airport and try over there. And funnier, I found a car but it will cost you double your fare.I never use this language, but this time its deserved: WTF !!!

I honestly went to this place with very low expectations due to some bad reviews I had read here, but to my surprise this service was excellent. I thought the desk would be difficult to find, so I did my homework and looked for the counter location before I went to the mall. I found it very quickly and there was no wait, although I went at 8:15 AM when they had just opened, so I don’t know if it’s like that all day long. Logan’s service was excellent and the process was fast and smooth. He explained the Sunpass use in detail, contrary to a recent experiences at a different car rental. The car was clean and in perfect condition. The return process was just as good.

This location has no cars they are offering on the website ! ! !The manager called me in the morning and said that they dont have my car but they have a convertible at the airport and asked if I dont mind to pick it up from there. He never mentioned that the rate would be nearly 50% more expensive!Avoid this place if you are booking anything but economy or compact!

The car wasn’t clean, the windshield and window glass from the inside were greasy. This did effect visibility at night. Coffee/drinks spots were not taken off from the rear seat before it was given to me; was really yuck! The staff said the gas was full, but then when I drove 4-5 miles the gas guage came down by 2 points. I live right across the mall, but will never rent from here again.

Great friendly Avis location. Been going here for years. George the owner, is always eager to help and his son owns the Aventura location in the Aventura mall. Both are very nice and helpful with fast turn around service. Budget is also at the same location at 67street and Collins Ave. George handles both.

Bad!! Take the extra time to rent your car from the airport! Finding the Avis booth was a fitness workout walking through the mall. Upon arrival to the small booth under an escalator, no one was there. I waited 15 minutes for someone to arrive. At which point I was not greeted and zero enthusiasm. He was talking for several minutes with another person before I asked him how long it would be because I was in a hurry. He responded, “As you can see i’m the only one working here”. After waiting 5 minutes for him to talk to the other person, he tells me my car class was not available and that he could give me a lower car class instead, however I paid the same rate. The car was dirty inside and out and at this location you have to walkout together, do a full car check for finishing. So much easier at the airport. Wasted my time renting here. Bad experience and i’m a regular Avis renter.

Wentfrom the brite line station in Miami for a rental debit card was declined cuz it was a couple dollars short deposited the funds then the car that was reserved was not available because of a couple minutes Im llate and not being able to have the money in the account only to find out that the card can only be swiped one time per day after running around to several different aviss to finally being tolfl the right informationWhat a shame very dissatisfied rent from Avis often. Probably not anymore after this coming weekend very poor customer servicealso to inform you that in Aventura that you just in the mall is almost impossible to find there are no signs and the GPS has trouble directing you there as there is a lot of major construction going onSet over five hours trying to rent a car from today and got absolutely nothing accomplished except for annoying friends for rides only to not have a ride for this evening if I could give a rating of -4 * z I would

Car was booked for 10a.m pick up but there were no cars available until after 1p.m, 3 hours after our scheduled pick up time! We then went with the car for it to be washed and valeted thereby not leaving the pick up location until more than 3.5 hours later than planned - and we wasted all of this time waiting!

I went to rent my car around 4.00pm on august 19th 2018, after have given me the keys the person responsible at the moment realised my return was due the 22nd around 8am and he told me if i would need it for more time i could have it with no rush, he did not mention any extra charge, no time, so i returned the car at 8pm same day.Same person he did not mention anything AGAIN but once i stepped out a charge was made of $34.54.I mean this is not how a business and a franchise should be run by local people. the relationship with the customer is essential, most important to be clear with details and information. I feel that this was unfair because if i had know, i would have gone by 4pm.BE MORE HONEST this is what I can suggest to do and GIVE MORE INFORMATION because people do not know.

Car wasnt prepped before we arrived. After finally getting it, we found that it shook and made grinding and squealing noises. Didnt leave the parking lot before taking it back. Apathetic employee behind the counter said All our cars sound like that. After getting him to actually drive the car, he agreed that it had a problem but then told us that there were no other cars available. Reluctantly, he secured one from another location but we had to change our plans and come back and get it.

Terrible. I rented a car online, when I arrived they told me that they did not have any car that had tried to communicate which never happened having all my data. They told me to go to the airport that they would refund my travel money. At the airport they told me that they couldnt do such a thing to me and that they didnt have a car either. That it was a problem of the other Avis if they had sent me there and that they have no contact either by phone or with the other office. 3hs of this lasted. In the end they gave me a car, they charged me like a Ferrari and they didnt refund anything. That if when I returned it they treated me as if they were doing me a favor. Terrible, never again.

Contract not very clear on the spot it is still necessary to pay for additional insurance while we have already paid a duplicate.Not at all detailed and in addition make no effort to answer, tjs different interlocutors.Result if possible do not book remotely, better on the spot if you do not arrive at one of the morning!
