Went on a Sunday for a state vehicle inspection. I drove towards the bay entrance but was waved off by the technician. Posted signs told me I was not to enter the bay area- so my bad. Just pull into one of the spaces next to the inspection building and go inside the convenience store to pay for your inspection. I was greeted immediately and my card was promptly processed. Fifteen minutes later my truck had been inspected and passed and I was done. Good, polite and fast service at this South Austin, funky, odd combo: oil change place, inspection station, convenience store and vape/head shop.

I pulled in today (8-22-21) to have an inspection done on my car. The guy that was working there saw me and glared at me. He threw his hands up in the air and shook his head at me. He waved me out of the pull through and just kept shaking his head like I was the most annoying thing on earth. There was no sign saying where to park. There was no sign saying not to pull in. I backed out and drove away. Im not going to spend my money at a place that doesnt care about their customers. i went to Jiffy Lube on Riverside and was treated with respect and kindness. You guys need to learn from them. He was extremely unprofessional.

This place is so fast. Theyve got a really efficient system and cheap gas.

Always quick and never a pain. Their website is great! Send over your insurance documents ahead of time to avoid longer waiting time! Also! If you get your car inspected and an oil change, they give a $10 discount. I highly recommend.

Pro: I showed up without an appointment and the waiting was reasonable, about 30 mins and I showed up after work at 5:15, they close at 6. There were 2-4 people on the line.Con: the guy who took my insurance information (in a gas station where the business is run) was totally out of it. Maybe had a bad day? Ill give them the benefit of the doubt.Overall it was a painless process.

Employees are friendly and polite. They get you in and out quickly when doing inspections, this is my second time and will go nowhere else from now on.

I get all of my vehicles serviced here for oil changes and inspections. Jose and the crew are fast, reliable, and friendly. In addition to the great service, the location is great as well. I could not recommend FlashPoint highly enough to anyone who lives or works in South Austin!

Quick and friendly but employee DOES NOT sanitize hands between vehicles or wear gloves. Also wasnt wearing a mask. Edit to add that the reply on my comment from the business is some copy/paste non-answer. The employee was NOT wearing a mask, and when asked if they sanitized before entering my vehicle, indicated that they had not.

In and out in 20 minutes. Easy breezy. Would recommend.

Be prepared to jump through hoops.I used their site to upload a copy of my insurance card that I had to send to my computer to get into a file format their site allows - jpg. I show up there two-three hours later and they cant find that info there so they want me to resubmit that info on my phone. While Im trying to figure out how to get a png copy of my insurance card that my insurance app saves to a format their card upload will accept I overheard a guy come in wanting to buy a tank of gas and a drink. They wouldnt let him pay for it with credit card because the drink wasnt over a $3 purchase. Thats their business model - making customers jump through hoops. I left.

These guys are always ready to get you inspected. Even thou they are busy they will get you in and out in a blink of an eye.Highly recommended family businesses.Very accommodating. Must try.

Got my truck and motorcycle inspected when we moved from Ohio. Super fast in and out.

Needed a state inspection. Knew in advance that my brake light was out so I called and asked if they could replace it while doing the inspection and they said they could. So I uploaded my car insurance on their website to save time and headed off.I get there and tell them Ive uploaded my insurance online and was told to email it to them instead. So much for saving time. Then after an hour I got my car back and the inspection failed because of the brake light. I asked if they could replace it and was told no but I could go to an Auto Zone to get it replaced.I wont be coming back here for car service ever again.

I went and got my car inspected, and it was a breeze -- super convenient, no wait. My boyfriend went and they failed him because his tint was too dark...hes had is vehicle for over 4 years, never changed the tint on it. Scammed him out of twenty bucks (usually that bs happens to girls, not guys)

They have attitudes and act like I am stupid just because I am a female. I would recommend somewhere that is friendly and doesn’t charge a service fee! Sticker stop only charges 18.50 and not a penny more which is the state fee! They shouldn’t charge taxes that isn’t right they are pocketing that change!

Super easy fast process to get your registration taken care of. Very friendly. Even though they were busy people were being taken care of within 15-20 mins.

I came close to close and was worried I would be turned away. I had tried three places earlier today and no one had an inspector there on site.I learned my lesson and called ahead. They were there and waiting. Yay!I got there, emailed my card (didnt have to print out) and was out in less than 30.They also have fun trinkets to buy and snacks.I definitely recommend!

These guys are super fast and efficient for an inspection (we waited maybe 20-30min without setting an appointment)! We went here last year as well and so far have not had anything bad to say! They even pull your car up to the front of the building for you when theyre done 😊

This is a great place to go for your car inspection. Just avoid going around lunch time cuz its usually pretty busy then. Unfortunately I failed my latest inspection but flashpoint gives you 15 days to get whats wrong and then they will reinspect you gratis/free. However this is the quickest place I found to get your car inspected.

4th time here. 3 previous were stellar and blindingly fast when the woman worked here. Not a good experience today. Arrived a little early. Guy told me they weren’t doing inspections yet at least not until nine. So I was waiting in my car until nine and another customer walked in at about 10 till and got their inspection initiated and done before I was even given the opportunity to pay for mine. I have sent multiple people here. Never go back and never recommend again

On 04/24/2021 after 2:pm, I called just to find out what time they close and the women that picked up the phone was rude as heck. I ask her what time they close and she said that they close at 5pm. Then I ask, so are you excepting walk ins or I need a appointment to get a state inspection now....she rudely keep on saying the words .. close at 5pm, close at 5pm..5pm..5pm. I said thank you and she hang up.I was calling for my friends, so now this company just lost 4 customers and potentially many more, just because she was so rude on the phone. Tip....Be nice to everyone, even if you had a bad day or busy.

This was my first visit. I went today. When I arrived, they were quite busy. I asked how long a state inspection would take, and they said 30 to 45 minutes. They were right! It only took them about 30 minutes, even though they were busy. Up on your arrival, you email them a copy of your insurance. then you go inside and tell them that you emailed your insurance, and pay the $18.50 for the inspection. The only place to sit was outside, and it was a bit rainy. That was the only downside. (I was hoping to sit inside and do paperwork.) Other than that, they were very quick, and very professional.

This place is a no brainer. Ive been trying to get my car inspected for a month. Everywhere I go, the employee is out to lunch for an hour, or the wait is 1-2 hours.This place was busy but efficient and fast. The waiting area is socially distanced and outdoors, they dont close for lunch, and they get you out the door fast.Couldnt recommend it more!

Would not go there again. My car passed the inspection Tuesday just for my engine light to come on Thursday, and when I took it in I find out that it was something with the gas cap and it wasn’t put on correctly. I did not even put gas in my car but I’m out $100 and they aren’t apparently liable for the cost?! When the gas cap is something that they check in the inspection???I’m not going here again.To update: yes my car passed the inspection at this location. Then 2 days later car engine light came on (Tuesday afternoon inspection and Thursday morning light) I had to take the car in to be told it was the gas cap. When I called y’all, besides not telling me when the manager would be in tmrw, you also said y’all aren’t liable for the cost.Also to note I never even got gas between these days and I still haven’t put gas in my car 🙃 so yay I’m out 100. AND you couldn’t even tell me the time your manager is supposed to be in tmrw. Like oh “could be the morning or the afternoon” like why can I not get a time?I would avoid this company. Super unprofessional.

Employee ORDERED me to sit in the sun. He was very rude! Apparently customers are not allowed to move the plastic chairs outside! I will NEVER go there again!

I read the other great reviews about Flashpoint online and drove right down the street from home for a quick inspection. They didn’t disappoint! The staff is so friendly, the parking is amicable for being in an urbane setting, and my state inspection was done in a flash. I never knew this business was here, but I’m so happy to have found it! Will definitely be returning!

Dont park in front of the convenience store or youll get yelled at (even though that is where they tell you to go over the phone). They dont have a brake checking machine so youll see them drive away with your car to do it the old fashioned way on some street 😳 Dont panic 😂 The service is reasonably quick with no appointment needed which is what most people need. You do have to sit outside to wait, which may get rough once the Winter arrives. A little dirty and all but again, it is just a car inspection place and they are pros at it.

Every other inspection facility was back logged or the employee called in. Took about 1/2 hour. No waiting room, but what the heck, they got it done.

It was fast and hassle free. They are my go to for getting my vehicle inspected. They inspect both cars and motorcycles.

They are very professional you go park your vehicle at the front they take your vehicle and bring in back in like 15 mins. All you do is go inside pay at the store which is a gas station with your ID and the cost. Love it! Been using the for 3years now I would highly recommend anyone too this place.

Very fast and convenient inspection! I arrived at 2:10 PM on a Saturday, 3 people were ahead of me, they had my car inspected in 30 minutes.

Super convenient location. We needed to get our truck and 5th wheel trailer and inspected. We were able to get off the highway, park just off the edge of the road, have Jose inspect both vehicles, and get back on the highway.Quick and easy.

I agree with others that the fee should be $18.50 period. Other places charge the state fee of $18.50 regardless of using credit card or cash.

Just had my inspection done. 2 cars ahead of me and I was still out of there in 20 minutes! Other places Ive used I had to wait 30 minutes to an hour just to get the jeep into a bay, who has time for that. Flashpoint is my go to place for now on with their friendly staff, clean store and extremely fast service. Oh and their gas is crazy cheap! Would highly recommend! Ill have to try an oil change their next when Im due 😁

I drove 20 minutes to get a smog check showed. I showed up and was not sure where to park, so I called the office. I was on the phone with them. I stepped out of my car for a minute. One of the employees there jumped in my car with NO MASK on and drove off. I went chasing my own car and he said you didn’t move. When I called back to complain they said what’s your problem! My problem is you got in my car without my permission, drove off with it while I wasn’t looking and didn’t even care to put a mask on . You guys should be ashamed of how you run a business. All the employees had mask on their chins to add to it! @flashpointautoinspection I should never have for chase my car down without knowing how is in it or where it’s going! 🚘❌🚫

With Ferrari’s on their Google page, you know a place is either a gimmick or the real deal. Flashpoint Inspections is the real deal. I took my special 1:1 2015 Gundam Focus ST here to get inspected. Inspection-seekers receive priority over everything else in the store and it is apparent from the moment you walk in. This family owned businesses operates smoothly, efficiently, and without delay. Their inspectors are thorough, their prices are better than par, even their cashier did a 4 year stint at Ferrari Austin (Boardwalk Ferrari?). At any rate, I won’t hesitate to frequent this location in the future for any service I need that they provide.P.S. I read in the reviews their gas prices are among the best in town. 2.40 for premium!!!!!!! That’s what I’m talking about!!!!!!!! Thank you Flashpoint and thank you American Fuels!!!!

Just took my car here and they did a great job. Dropped off my keys and insurance inside. Answered a couple phone calls/emails while I waited in one of the chairs. There were a couple other cars in front of me but they were still done with my car in only 10-15 minutes and I was on my way.

They got me on a rainy day. In and out. Very quick service. The funny thing is you go into the convenience store to pay the inspection fee.

Great People Inspection went great. In and out in 10 minutes. Cashier helped me print my insurance cards there. Highly recommend this inspection station.

However, after visiting for myself, all the 5 stars were TRUE. They lived up to their name. It was flash, in 7 minutes, and I was out.No damaging my car, no fake failure inspection to sell a product to boost their revenue like Willies Service Center, DO NOT go to Willies Service Center for ANYTHING, THEY ARE a con shop.FlashPoint, on the other hand, was QUICK and HONEST, which ALL customers can appreciate. I have now DEFINITELY found my go to inspection station from now on.

This place is my jam. In-and-out auto inspections, even late in the month. Ive never waited longer than 15 minutes from them taking my keys to giving the car back.

Best place in South Austin to get your car inspected. The people are friendly and they get the job done quickly. The only trouble you may have is getting to it. The gas station that this station is attached to has the cheapest gas in the area so it’s always busy and the lot is small and tough to maneuver.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!! A friend of mine brought her car here for an inspection and they convinced her to come back for an oil change. Well, they were reckless and punctured a hole in her oil filter which she did not realize until her car was smoking. She had it looked at to see what was wrong. Found out that it damaged her engine because there was no oil from the leak. She tried to contact the manger or owner of the business, and he did not get back to her. We went in person to speak with someone and they very rude and did not seem to care what they did, instead blaming her. Very unprofessional! And refused to give her the name of the manager or owner. This was a very serious matter that could have caused her and other people injury from this negligence! Her engine could have caught on fire! At least call her to find out what happened. They don’t seem to care.

Service with a great smile. I was in out out in record time and it was by far the BEST inspection experience Ive ever had. I will personally never go anywhere else for an inspection now that I went to Jose at Flashpoint. Definitely recommending him to all my friends and work folks for their inspection needs. Crazy to say, but I already look forward to my inspection next year!

Matt was amazing! I came in with a burnt out blinker bulb that AutoZone wouldn’t replace for me, and in 3 minutes, he has the new bulb in, and I was passing inspection! I’ll never go anywhere else for an inspection! Thanks Matt!

I would NOT recommend going here because the guy who runs it (Jose) is perhaps one of the rudest individuals I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. And I mean utterly rude. Its just a routine state inspection exam, not a 1930s German checkpoint. I advise my fellow Texans to please go somewhere else - ANYWHERE else. Theres no excuse nor need for such an attitude and it shouldnt be rewarded with further business.

I was dreading doing my state inspection this year. Last year I dropped my car off at a place in the morning and 8 hours later they still hadn’t gotten to it (I think they forgot until I called for an update).I read the reviews for Flashpoint and it seemed too good to be true but I had to get it done. I timed them and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and that was with me being the fourth car in line! Everyone was kind and courteous. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

They charged me for a full inspection when I told them I did not need emissions test and it should be $7.After the inspection I had to ask for my money back
