Just checked out the gym thinking about joining them. Comparing between this one and the North Austin one. I kinda like the outdoor swimming pool with the shade. It feels better on nice days. The thing is this location has their own lake to hike and do some water activities like kayak and standing paddle. Thinking hard now.
Really nice facilities. Still trying to decide if its worth the $125 that Im billed monthly. It would be if I cared about swimming pools and slides. Definitely much better than my previous gyms, 24 hr and Golds. They want another $20/month of I wont to worn out at other Austin locations.
The service starting at the front door was above board down to the front desk being dressed in a processional dress with manager in a blazer and button up shirt with slacks. They are positioned for professional clients and conduct the business of the club in a way that makes you feel right at home. The amenities are a rare find for any club including their own lake with rowing.
In six months it’s been rare for all of the amenities to be available, and there aren’t many considering how high the membership fee is. The quarry is nice but it adds nothing to the gym which is pretty small itself. Equipment is great but that’s about it, and you can find that for much cheaper at another gym.
A bit pricey for what you get in non-summer months, but its worth it in the summer because of the paddleboards and kayaks and lake access! Love that they have yoga and bootcamp classes on the lake, thats very unique. The class teachers are great. The lake is beautiful and under utilized. The front desk staff is always very polite and friendly.
Extremely friendly staff, helped get us all set after registering online. Locker room is very sleek, kept well maintained, and clean. Equipment is far newer than the Austin North location which makes it an excellent place if youre more inclined towards using the machines.
Ship’s log: it has been 45 days. The borg show no signs of getting the upstairs air conditioning fixed (that is where all the cardio equipment is).And they take great pleasure in chasing people out of the pool half an hour before the facility closes.Avoid.
Brittany at member services was incredible! I definitely recommend this gym and I definitely recommend signing up with Brittany!
Was more accommodating as Pure Austin. It will be hard for them to ever fill the volleyball court if only members can use it (and not friends of members as it was before)
Love this place. Best gym in Austin.
Always overcrowded and the price is definitely not worth it.
Small and lacks the amenities of other lifetime fitness locations, however, this location is extremely clean, the staff is friendly, the equipment is well maintained. There are also other things offered at this location such as lake access for paddle boarding and an outside trailParking use to be a bit of an issue which they resolved by buying the lot next to it.
Gym is without air conditioning for a month. Well, half without — cardio section is a sauna. No updates or emails to members.**Update: it is literally months later. The AC is still broken upstairs. No emails have been sent to members with status updates.***Update: they are now kicking swimmers out of the pool 30+ minutes before the gym closes. Posted hours on website and Google listing are 10 oclock. Someone has posted junky stickers all over the pool sign too.,:
Kid-free gym and quarry. Whats better?
Great gym, lots of deadlift platforms and super clean equipment. The gym restroom.. is like the best gym restroom Ive seen in a minute. The gym personal are friendly and cool.Members grinding hard for their gainz fires me up! 🔥💯
I can trade in my car and buy a new one online, why cant I cancel my membership by phone or email? Definitely not focused on the customer for convenience or safety as you have to come in personally or send a letter to cancel membership. These barriers are put in place for no reason other than to prevent you from canceling.
The staff is very nice, and efficient..great place
WATCH OUT THE PAPERWORK YOU SIGNED WITH LIFE TIME!!!I cannot continue to go to Lifetime due to my pregnancy last year, so they suspended my membership. Today on 1/18/2021, I received their email regarding reactivating my account. I called to cancel my membership because I cannot go due to current COVID19 issue and I have infant at home to take care of. However, they said they will charge me one month membership fee or charge me suspension fee monthly according to the agreement. This is REDICULOUS! I like Life time, but definitely not the way they do business!!!
The quarry lake running track behind the gym is wonderful for walks during the Covid crisis and the outdoor cross fit setup is nice.
Pool hours here where my last straw for the 1 star review
Ive been a member of lifetime fitness ever since they moved to Austin, my daughter grew up there at the child center for the Summers. So I will always give this place a 5-star rating because I love it its not packed and theres always a machine ready for you to use. The staff is always great they know you by name whenever you walk through the door they greet you, greatest game ever.
Amazing center with a variety of activities for children and adults alike (the gym area, studio classes, rock climbing area, basketball area, the locker rooms, etc.). Would be nice to see the squat machine (Barbell Machines) moves to a position where one can see themselves squatting (for form check). Other than that it is great. The environment, the staff, and everything in between is beautiful and worth the price, if it is within one’s budget. They do offer college student discounts. I hope this helps! Happy New Year! 💖💖💖
The membership is too high for this club than other locations and it doesnt worth it. The club is too small specially the class studios are very small for large groups, the pool and the changing room is too small too and there isnt a private changing room we have to change in the restroom which is very inconvenient. The equipment should be wiped after each class regardless COVID. I surprisingly didnt see they were cleaning the equipment or even ask the members to do it. . The staff also arent professional and arent aware with the policy. When I Joined they have promised some credit but I didnt receive it and when I cancelled my membership there were some other charges and I was expecting a refund after a long discussion with them and I havent received it till now. I have been a member at Lifetime for years in a different state and I had a very good experience and the membership was way cheaper.
Awful and sickening that Lifetime thinks they can just privatise once public water, i hope the worst for the them
My wife and I have been coming to this gym for about a year and a half now and we absolutely love it. The facility is incredible and their classes are excellent! We go to the 6:00 AM T/Th sin class with Doug and it is a great way to start your day. They have their own private lake which is great for open water swimming (there are lots of triathletes who train there like myself) or for renting out their kayaks and paddle boards on a nice day. If youre a runner, try out their run club with Greg too!
Best gym in Austin in its category. Friendly staff and awesome members. That lake is probably the best kept secret in Austin fitness. I hesitate to even review because I am not sure I want everyone knowing. Locke and Chandler always greet you with a smile and genuinely ask how your day is going. The training staff are well trained and care for their clients. Lastly, the care of the facility is very high. Equipment is generally clean and the staff that take care of the gym do not get enough praise from the members.
Love this facility... covers all my needs!
Been going for years. Solid gym exp, but expensive
Been a member here for over a year now and Im pretty satisfied. They have literally everything I could want for any type of fitness. Its definitely crowded during the rush hours but otherwise pretty chill and empty. I will say theres no sense of community but I wouldnt expect that from a big chain gym anyway.
Love the gym and the quarry path!
Great staff, clean facilities
Very nice facility, professional staff that is very friendly, and spacious locker rooms!!Great hygiene protocol practices in place!!
Update 02/07/2020:They again have tried to take more money and say I owe them even more. No matter how many times I reach out I dont get a reply or someone hangs up on me.Not a pleasant experience. The sales manager at the location is extremely rude and unprofessional. Every interaction Ive witnessed him have is hostile and lacks even basic customer service.I was also lied to by the rep who came to my office to pitch us on a corporate account. If we attended a certain number of days then we would personally pay less. I was lied to what that number was, and how much it was to add family members in that meeting. The gentleman also told us that there were kickboxing and martial arts classes multiple times a day, at this location. We were also told that we could work out at any LifeTime around the country, that was our club level(Onyx) or below. All of those things have proven to be false though. Every single one of them.I went into cancel membership after only a few months of having it, due to closing lies and overall not being a good fit. I was charged that next payment, as expected. I was then charged another payment, and not at our prorated cost. I went back in, again, and cancelled. LifeTime has continued to attempt to charge my account months later no matter what I do. I got another email today and called the number. They told me they dont have a cancellation policy on file. I said Ive done it twice, and at this point the clerical error is stealing. I asked to be transferred to someone who could help me get this resolved, was transferred...and hung up on.This is an organization that will lie to get you in the door, make you feel like trash when you are in the club & will do shady things to keep trying to get cancelled members money in hopes they wont find out.
Empty and nice. Needs a sauna though.
Some people are rating this gym like a box gym or cheap gym. This gym has everything a nice gym should have, plus access to paddle boarding, kayaking and outdoor swimming in a quarry. There are plenty of machines and free weights and a rock wall indoors as well. I love this gym and I understand that not everyone can afford to go here, but a bad rating and comparing it to somewhere that you can afford does not seem fair. I also have a membership at pf👍 for the message machines and total body machine since they are something that I enjoy. If I had to choose one I would 100% choose Lifetime, it is a better gym with better amenities. I know the cancellation policy is tough and it sucks that gyms always squeeze you one last time when you try and leave, but when I moved to Austin I did not find a local gym I liked and joined a certain yellow gym, paid a year up front being told it was the only way they would not try and get more money when I left and I still had to pay a final fee. If you go to the Lifetime website you can for sure get a free day pass and if you do not like it do not join. But if price is a factor maybe you are just mad that you need more money.
Dont be scammed by these guys. I accepted their advertisement offer for a free day pass to try the gym out, but when you get to the gym they will tell you it isnt actually free and they will try to charge you $45 for the day. The place is totally sketchy. Their customer service and management are absolutely awful and totally condescending. Ive also heard rumors that once you sign up they make it a nightmare to try to cancel your membership - all of which are ridiculously priced. Dont go here.
Friendly staff, updated equipment, amazing lake, and an overall excellent experience.
Decent discount quality gym with a premium price tag.Visiting from out of town and found a few things to be misleading from the pictures and descriptions online. First, there is no sauna or steam room here. The website must be referring to other lifetime locations. Second, the locker room is quite small compared to the pictures, as is the rest of the gym. Finally - small nit pick - but no chalk for lifting. If newer equipment is most important to you, this is probably your place, as I found all of the equipment to be quite nice. For a place that I had heard was a more premium gym, this definitely missed the mark by quite a bit considering the price. Without these basic amenities I would say its more on par with other big box gym chains and should be about half the price.
Terrible customer service. Tried to make changes to my account to remove some members I called and they said they took care of it no problem. 2 months later still been billed the same. I go in to talk to them they say the call never happened and we don’t make account changes over the phone and won’t credit or do anything to compensate me and act like I am lying to them. So I have to pay the price for a mistake they made. I am now canceling my account and will never be using a lifetime again. Never felt like less of a human being with a company just focused on making money.
This gym is amazing!!! The equipment is well maintained and the facility is very clean. The instructors are motivating and fun. The womens locker room is always well stocked and clean. Other gym goers are polite and make the busier times manageable. The staff is friendly and helpful and remember your name! I do not think there is another gym in this city you can get the quality and class selection for the same price.
I just joined this AMAZING gym! Paddleboarding on the private lake is especially nice as I was almost the only one out there... Bryans Pure Pump class and the personal training are TOP NOTCH. Challenging and efficient use of my time. Pure is definitely the best in Austin! Thanks for helping me make the most of my membership dollars!
I’ve been a member for about 6 weeks and I’m really happy with the classes, staff and the vibe. When I came to Pure for a tour, they were incredibly nice and helpful. No pressure. The facilities are really nice and now that the holiday work rush is over I’m excited to come back to my regular gym routine at none other than Pure. Thanks for your excellent service guys!
I have been with them for 2 weeks, and it has been a very uncomfortable experience! As much as this membership cost, the service should be a lot better! The process has been a waste of time! It is as if they have no respect for new clients, or they have a race problem at this location. I do not recommend this location to anyone! Terrible service and terrible follow up! Save your $130!
The things I dislike about this gym are the extremely high membership fee and the year long contract (that they renew without giving you warning and the only way to get out is to move a certain distance away from the gym). The things I like about this gym are the incredibly friendly staff, the gorgeous lake and the fact that the high price happens to drive people away and make it less crowded. I dont really like working out with a lot of people around.Honestly though, the fact that I am paying so much motivates me to go. Why would I waste so much money and not go?Other than the lake though, there arent that many things that are special about this gym. Its a gym. Plain and simple. There is a climbing wall, but I have yet to be there when someone was on it.The staff gets my thumbs up. The price is a huge thumbs down.
Pure Austin is an excellent gym. Equipment is top notch and well maintained. The facility is impeccably clean. The staff loves working there and is very helpful. The gym represents fitness as a lifestyle choice for members. It isnt about meatheads tossing weights and hurting themselves. Pure is about whole person health and supporting their extremely active members passionate pursuits.
How could you not like this gym? Take everything that is awesome about the downtown location and add to it a private lake. Swimming. Stand up paddle board! Yoga on the dock! Jogging around the lake. Lots of room for outdoor workouts. Like downtown, everything is always clean and ready to go. Super friendly and helpful staff. Ive been a member for over 6 years and cant say enough good things about the facility and staff.
I like the location up north better. This place is a little too packed with equipment and people during peak times.
Looks like Pure Austin has been catching some flak over here on Google+ Local, but I like them all the same. Nice equipment, plus at the north location you have access to the pool, the rock climbing wall, and the quarry. If youre up in that area its a really cool place to be. Gets a bit crowded in the afternoons but Ive never had trouble in the morning.
Ive been going to Pure now for years and I really love it. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, the towel service is on point and the facilities are always super clean.Highlights for me are the lake that you can swim in during the summer (or go kayaking or SUPing), the pool which is heated and always clean and plenty of equipment and machines so you dont have to slow down your workout with waiting.I also really love their smoothie bar and snack options for post-workout.Ive never tried their climbing wall, but it looks really fun.
What a cool club! Stand up paddle boarding here was so fun! You gotta stop by and try it! Adding my GF to the membership so we can go paddle boarding once a week. FYI it fills up on the weekends and their is often a big wait list. They also do SUP Yoga on the weekends.
Been a LifeTime member for years but this was my first visit to this location. It was very convenient and the equipment was top notch. I can’t wait to utilize the paddle boarding!! I’m leaving room to increase my rating after I’ve used more of the facility.
I so love this gym and I have been in a lot of gyms across the country over the years. This has been the best so far, no pressure on sales first of all, and no shady contracts or pushy sales people. I loved my personal trainer, he had a lot of experience with injuries and trained me to get strong and recover from my surgery. The facilities are always super clean and in general, the people who go to this gym are nice and polite. You dont find show off here or ladies looking for a hook up. Everybody there is going to workout and have a good time. You get a lot of value for what you pay in this gym.
This is one of the nicest gyms you will find! Not only in the multi-level facility filled with the best equipment that is always kept in excellent shape, but there is the pool out back, plus a private lake (with running path around it). During Fall and Spring months they have the Splash & Dash runs in the evenings, which are open to the public and consist of one swimming lap around the lake and then 2 running laps. Definitely a great endurance test, especially at the hottest part of the day usually.
Not great. Recently moved to north Austin from south Austin and this location is much worse (and more expensive) than the south location. There are better gyms around this area.
Awesome gym! Quarry lake location has a lap pool, rock climbing wall and a lake with SUP boards and kayaks. Best gym you could go to besides a university rec center. Friendly staff, fun events, good classes and a clean gym with a great variety of extra equipment on top of the normal cardio machines and weights.
A very Austin-ey place to get your workout on. Lots of classes, heated outdoor lap pool. Giant quarry out back with a trail around it. Only downside is shorter hours than most gyms. Still love it.
Great gym, especially if you love the outdoors. The rocking climbing wall is cool, as is the mini lake out back. No complaints.
Nice place, nice and anti-gun. Poorly posted 30.06 posting on the door... too small sign and letters are too small... #CheckYourSign
First, the women’s locker room is a nice size for several women to shower and get ready without feeling crowded. I like that the cardio equipment is upstairs away from the lifting area. Also they have a deck that has a beautiful view of the water, with battle ropes tied to the deck. They have a studio room up stairs and a separate room for spin classes etc. They have a ramp that you can practice hill runs. Then down stairs they have rock climb wall, smoothie bar, auxiliary equipment, rowers, 4 to 5 squat racks, hammer squat machines, several benches and incline benches. They have jungle gym outside that you can do variety of training from CrossFit to ninja style training. They also have a pool outside as well, below the deck. Overall a wonderful experience, definitely recommend this gym to others.
After being a member for over 5 years, Ive come to the conclusion that this is definitively the best gym in Austin! From the diversity of the equipment and facilities that this location provides, to the athletes and professionals that it brings in, this gym has continually kept my workout motivation alive and strong. This particular location of Pure Austin is quite special as it provides a lot more than the standard gym equipment! From the open water lake, the running trails, lap pool, rock wall, and cross fit style equipment, there are a multitude of options to keep working out fresh and exciting. The staff and members of Pure are also a big reason that Ive stayed at the gym; the social aspect of the gym is top-notch in comparison to other national gyms that I have been at.Drop in and take a few classes, and youll see what all the hype is about!
The north location for Pure Austin is heaven for the outdoor athlete that needs some indoor conditioning. This is the only gym Ive ever heard of with its own lake! Then you have top quality equipment in an awesome space with a rock wall inside. The staff are always super friendly and helpful and you meet all kinds of other friendly and fit folks. If youve been looking for a gym in Austin, look no further.
Its a nice gym but expensive for what you receive. You really have to use all of the amenities for it to be worth it, and thats hard to do. Locker room showers could have better products considering the cost of the gym. Overall nice and clean gym.
Ive been a member for two years and just renewed for another. The facilities are great and well maintained. As a competitive swimmer the pool and quarry make the membership worth it. It does cost a little more, but I feel Im the only one to blame if I dont get my moneys worth.I disagree with other reviewers comments on the staff and culture of the gym. Everyone Ive met is very friendly. Ive recommended the gym to many that still are members.
I love Pure Austin Fitness! The staff totally sets this gym miles apart from others in Austin – I’ve never met a more motivating, fun, driven group of individuals excited to help you reach your fitness goals. The location is awesome – 3 minute jog to the trail around Town Lake and 2 min walk to Whole Foods – for me this means nothing gets in the way. I run on the trail, hit up Pure Austin, grab a bite to eat & repeat. No car time in-between = less hurdles = success! The facility is always spotless with the best, most relevant equipment and machines. I’ve been a member for almost 10 years and this gym has always been and continues to be worth every penny I spend on a membership!
100% positive experience. Visit 4 to 5 times per week. Staff is friendly & knowledgeable, plus the other members are courteous. All round a fantastic gym.
I visit either of the downtown or Quarry locations on a daily basis. Hands-down the best gym Ive ever been a member of. It can get crowded if you go at the same time as everybody else (i.e. 5pm on a weekday), but otherwise I dont know that Ive ever had trouble waiting for a machine or lacking some sort of equipment. They also keep the facilities as clean as Ive ever seen at any gym before. Highly recommend
After all the renovations to convert this place into a Lifetime, this gym has all the equipment I need. 5 platforms, plenty of free weights, dumbbells up to 130, cardio equipment, stretching areas, rock climbing wall, etc. The only problem I can think of is the locker rooms are too small and tend to get crowded and the price is pretty steep.
Pure Austin on Braker is more than a gym - its an entire fitness experience. Im a big swimmer and they have great options - a heated pool and their own lake! You can also kayak and they even have a rock climbing wall! If you want to work out, this place has so many ways to do it!
Nothing else like this. Quarry lake cant be beat and its conveniently located if you work/live up North. Downtown is nice too. I like that they have a rope. Its nice that they provide towels for showering and their small lockers have codes so you dont have to remember a towel or your own lock. After my workout, I love to go to their smoothie bar. They have the best vegan protein options. They also have flexible payment options. If youre not ready to fork up $90/month for a membership fee, you can try the gym out once and then decide to sign up. Still not ready? You can go with a friend for $10 a visit. They have several other lower commitment options. Im a huge fan of their option to purchase passes. I prefer to buy passes at Pure than hold a $75 membership at the YMCA across the street. That YMCA is as good as a normal gym can get, with pools, sauna, steam room, weightedrope. But its loud, and dungeon-esque downstairs, where all the equipment I use lives. I like going to Pure. They play good music - local artists and the latest house music. Theres tons of natural light in every room at Pure so it never feels like a dungeon. Solely based on appearance. I think Pure has leaned off of this practice at the Downtown location in the last few years, and I appreciate the improved customer service experience.I quit Pure three years ago after being a member for seven years. I went to the Y for a while, but Pure has won back my heart by providing good options for me to slowly reacquaint myself and being their awesome selves.
Im not officially a member, but Ive been about 10 times using various GroupOn deals. The gym itself feels a little cramped but the machines are all really nice and organized as well as I can see possible. They have a 25yard pool with 4 lanes that is open to any member / guest except for a few 1-hour blocks for coaching lessons. The real gem is the quarry out back. Its a huge lake with buoys set up for open water swimming. Its really something special and almost enough on its own to join Pure Austin.
Great atmosphere. Plenty of machines. The cycling classes really give me a great workout in a short period of time.
The gym was pretty decent but when I didnt use it much I canceled my membership. 5 months later I found out theyve still been charging me for this overpriced gym. I called them and they said there is nothing they can do. If you decide to ignore my advice and join this gym, if you ever leave make SURE they actually cancel your membership instead of just telling you that its canceled.
Best gym for those athletes who participate in multiple sports. If youre looking just to lift weights better off saving your money and going elsewhere because you wont get the full advantage of their facilities!
Since I gave a bad review to the downtown location post-Lifetime remodel, only fair to give credit for the great results at the north locations remodel. *Lots* of great quality Technogym Olympic half racks, lots of dumbbells, duplicates of some machines like the pec/rear delt fly where there used to only be one. Please make similar changes to the downtown location where there is not near enough of some types of equipment during busy (and even not-so-busy) times.
Good gym but terrible support. I called I twice to cancel a membership after charges continued after 1 year period, support is not helpful and will refuse to refund while calling you a liar.____EDIT: I have bumped up my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because of the support the manager provided. After a couple days of investigation the charges were reversed and they will be changing their policy to prevent this in the future.
Outdoors swimming in Austin! Great place to train for open water swims. Easy location and quick stop off from 183 traffic.
I think that is the best gym ever... many things to do great staff and trainers.. I hope some day return to austin to enjoy everything about this gym
Best gym in Austin. Two great location options, one includes a lake for open water swim practice.
Overpriced and overrated. Rude front desk staff. Poor class schedule and selection. Drive 5 minutes down 183 to cgarena for a much better experience. Thats exactly what Ill be doing as soon as my contract is up.
Not worth it anymore. Recently sold to Lifetime and has gone downhill. Very sad. More crowded, less clean, and less engaged staff. Too bad. They had a great thing going.
Just did the Spash and Dash aquathon yesterday and the facilities are amazing! The lake is well maintained. No need to worry about weeds. Getting in and out of the lake is bit interesting without shoes. We swam a 750 and ran 2 miles. Locker rooms are clean and bright.
Best gym in Austin. Good equipment, clean area, and they have their own lake and running trail
So I’ve been a member of this gym for about 8 years now. Last year I moved outside of Austin and kept the membership because one of my offices was close to the gym. I wasn’t exactly sure if I’d continue to use the membership and so for about a year I’ve paid for a membership that I rarely use. When my card information expired and they could no longer bill me I started receiving emails to update the memebership payment information. I tried but because they were bought by Lifetime I was unable to completely log into the account and update the payment information. I decided to go into the gym personally once I got back from the holidays and just terminate the membership now that I wasn’t using it and hadn’t for about 8 months. After speaking with the manager at the gym she advised me about the balance and I asked her since I hadn’t used the gym in 8 months and was terminating due to the proximity to my new home would they dissolve the balance. She agreed to do so and mentioned that if I decided to re-enroll I’d have to pay the forgiven amount but nothing would be owed if I chose to terminate. So today marks the 4th day I’ve been harassed by Steven Foster, a member of Lifetimes billing department after I’ve explained all of this to him and asked him to confirm with the manager at the branch and respond to me in writing since he had threatened to send me to collections for an unpaid balance. Really after 8 years of paying for a membership and then not even using the gym for almost a year. Wow!!! I wouldn’t have posted a review because normally I wouldn’t waste time with something so rediculous however when I’ve had 3-4 emails explaining the situation and someone just plainly is harassing me out of pure pleasure It seems no one knows this is how they treat prior members now that they’ve changed ownership. I almost put the membership on hold still thinking maybe I’d use it down the road. I’m actually glad I chose to cancel now seeing how badly their billing department handles situations. I’m not one of those people that pay for a gym memebership and never use it. I actually travel a lot, have a gym in my home, and go to several classes close to my home which has kept me in better shape then when I went strictly to the gym alone. I spend a lot of money taking good care of myself which is why I’m so upset because the amount due is infinitesimal compared to the investment made to stay in shape and I appreciated the gym allowing me to not waste my money in the end thinking that I may return. Still waiting for Mr. Foster who just sent me another harassing email to send me an apology saying he’s contacted the branch and validated my original conversation. I would definitely think twice about joining this gym now that ownership has changed they don’t seem to care about their memebership the way they used to.
Ive been a member for 15 years. Never been to a better equipped, cleaner, more friendly gym.
This location does not offer childcare or children’s classes/camps even though it is listed on their website. They are also 18+ facility, so teenagers aren’t even allowed to work out at the same place as their parents. Yet they let you sign up for “family plans” on their website. We only found out this information when we walked in for a tour with our kids. Keep looking if you are a family with kids.
Great gym. The staff is friendly, the gym has all the machines I could ask for, and the gym and bathrooms are really clean.
This is the best gym in town and I wish it was closer to downtown so I could go all the time. Pure Austin Fitness is equivalent to the real world Globo Gym (Dodgeball) without the steroids. It has everything you could ever want in a gym and more when you add the rock climbing wall and a private quarry for members where you can take paddle boards out for free. The membership is a bit pricey but it is totally worth it.
Great gym, with everything you could need but looses 1 start for $25 casual visit which is a bit high.
I cant say enough good things about Pure Austin Fitness! The facilities and staff are second to none. Ive tried a lot of places over the years and this is the only gym thatll I return to. Its not a social club but its also not full of meatheads. Its a friendly, professional place to workout that hosts some of the best athletes and people around.
I am a swimmer from Seattle WA, and went as a guest. NO SAUNA, which really surprised me since there is a lake to swim in, year round. I have since moved to the Austin area and am tempted to join, but I have to have access to a sauna. Please add one!
Great classes, great people, and most importantly a private quarry for open water swimming or paddle boarding.
Love this location, its got access to their quarry where you can stand up paddle board, swim, and do a trail run if you want. The location is larger than their downtown location so youve got plenty of room to work out. They offer classes throughout the day as well and tons of cardio equipment. They offer 2 squat racks, 2 smith machines, 2 olympic weight lifting stations and then 2 bench press/ 2 incline benches. the list goes on, needless to say if you want a great workout Id come here. The price is worth it as well, unlike the franchise locations you wont have to worry about competing/waiting for a machine to work out at. Only minor downside, is that since they are a local gym their hours arent as open as a golds or a 24 hour fitness which isnt bad. Go Local!
Beautiful full gym. Staff is super nice and helpful.
Nice place
