They were scheduled to come out on a Saturday during a 5 hour window and no showed. Didnt bother to call either. When I called the service tech I talked to said they didnt have it in the system. When I mentioned told them my name they suddenly knew what television I had, meaning it was in the system.Instead of apologizing for the snafu and trying to make it right, they scheduled another 5 hour window. I asked to be put as the first appointment at any point during the week and they refused to accommodate me despite their screw up. A horrible business that I would stay far away from.

I called them today to discuss repairing an LED television of mine that has begun to show horizontal lines across the screen. After discussing some details (model number, what the lines look like, etc.) they gentleman on the phone explained that the TV is unrepairable, or that it would cost far too much to try and repair this particular issue.I REALLY appreciate the straightforwardness on this. No sales pitch. No lofty promises. Just good neighborly advice that was in my best interest. If I ever do have an issue that can be repaired, Ill be returning.

Dean just left my home today. My LG refrigerator compressor went out last week. Fortunately, my compressor was still under warranty. I called LG and they identified only two authorized LG repair contractors here in Austin. I called Dean and sent him the LG work order. I was impressed that he had the condenser in stock. He was out the next day and replace the compressor and installed a new air filter. Dean and his partner wasted no time getting started and almost two hours later, the refrigerator is purring like a kitten. Very good service..

I had a refrigerator that stopped cooling and the compressor was likely the cause. LG set me up with Dean to do the repair; he called me a day before the appointment with the details, and the repairmen arrived promptly at the window that was given. They were very friendly and finished the job in around an hour. I was a little nervous given some of the negative reviews but I had no issues and would recommend them if you are having problems with your refrigerator.

Yesterday my wife called Dean about somewhere to drop off old tube tvs for recycle, the fellow at Dean TV said they would take them, no charge. This was great as all other alternatives were pricey. So loaded up seven tvs and drove from San Marcos to Austin today. Arriving at Deans we were told that they do not take tvs at all. We mentioned the phone call and were again told the same thing. What I found very strange was the fact that one of the employees had lied to us but no one there seemed to care about it, there were no questions asked, no apology, infact they almost acted as if we were bothering them. Very disappointing, not professional at all. Anyone want a clunky tv?

Where do I even start? I wish I could give worse than a 1 star. Dean and the older man who accompanied him were completely rude and unprofessional. The first thing they did was demand the deductible right as they walked in. They argued when my grandmother spoke to them about their attitude and didn’t listen at all. They made a complete mess when trying to check out the washer and obviously didn’t know what they were doing because they didn’t turn the water off and flooded the laundry room. Left my grandparents with a mess! I do not recommend them and whatever you do, do not hire them!!

I took my television to this shop end of May. They replaced the main board. The television ran for about three weeks of very sporadic use, 1 hour a day. The television failed in the same way. I took it in again, end of June. It took more than a month for the replacement main board to come. Television ran for a week and it failed again. I supplied diagnostic information I found on the internet that pointed to another board. After several weeks of not looking at it (as told by the repairman), it was returned. This time a ground fault was fixed. It ran for a week. Im not taking it back.Several things to note. Keep you paper receipts. They have no way to determine when you last brought in your television. They have a warranty that applies to the first fix. In my case, every subsequent repair required another diagnostics fee.I do not like giving low reviews but they failed in the most fundamental function of a television repair shop. Maybe my television cant be repaired, they did say that they had not had this many problems with a television before. If thats the case, statistically, I lost. They get two stars because they were never rude or dismissive. They were just disorganized, they should have the repair record readily available. They also took a long time to even look at my television.I stuck it out and gave then ample opportunities to fix my television. Im going to try another shop.

Poor Customer Service, and DishonestI dropped off my TV on November 3rd. Employee said that I will get it call by Monday or Tuesday. Never received that call. Gave them a couple more days. No phone call. I called them and was told that they were still working on it. I replied, I will call you back in a couple more days, they replied, no we will call you.At this point I felt that the previous reviews about this company are spot-on. I made the decision to pick up my TV November 12. When I walked into the store the owner of the establishment was on the phone yelling at his customer, stating that he is not the shipper of the parts. Rather than defusing the issue, the owner continued to argue and yell at his customer in front of me and another potential customer. Never seen anything like this before. Very unprofessional. One of his employees assisted me. After he found my unit he stated that they were still working on it. I asked him what work needed to be done. (Note: I was testing him because theyre only supposed to do a diagnostic on it and then advise me with the cost so I can decide whether or not to authorize the repair.) Moments later the employee said that they ordered the part. I asked for proof of the order and the work done. There was none because nothing was done. My TV was never taken apart. When I asked for the TV back the owner apologized, stating that last week was a mess because he was in the hospital, Implying that his employees are incompetent without him. As he said this he revealed his chest with an old scar, very unprofessional. I did not get into a conversation with him. I simply demanded for my TV back. Me and the other potential customer walked out. The owner just loss 2 customers with one stone. When you lie to cover another lie eventually it will catch up to you.

I had an appointment scheduled for between 2 and 4, and I called at 4:15 and they said he would make it here in about an hour. He showed up at 5:38. We had to leave the house at 6:30 so there was some tension.I made the mistake of commenting that the TV failed 2 weeks out of warranty and that I was claiming it against the credit card extended warranty. Suddenly Im a terrible person for not having mentioned it on the phone. The cost of the diagnostic is higher for this service? Im told that apparently people get the estimates and never get the repair done. Maybe it has to do with the way the customers are treated?I wanted a repair estimate, and then to schedule repairs, or to get it done the same day if they had the part. Im not going to wait weeks for the credit card company to get around to paying me, but I wanted the paper trail for the claim process.I end up saying Ill pay the originally agreed upon price, but to get out. The only reason Im giving 3 stars instead of 1 is that the technician still asked if I wanted help putting the TV back on the mount, since I clearly couldnt do it by myself. In the end I got the estimate, but I still have a broken TV. Id like to get it repaired, but Im not sure who to use after this experience.

I would rate them zero if I could. Dean, if you can ever reach him,...I spoke to three different people who said they were Dean… Was so rude and obnoxious to me. He yelled at me, told me to get off the phone, told me he had a business to run, and that He had no idea what I was talking about regarding an appointment that I had called to verify. That he just woke up and he had to get his day organized and he could not verify my appointment which I thought I already had by talking to someone else who said he was Dean. When the technician showed up, he said he had to order a part which took two weeks to get in. I only got it by calling the third party and requesting that they expedite because my tenant had been waiting for two weeks . Tech installed the part which made the dryer run but not heat. A reschedule resulted at which time he told my tenant that the lint filter was clogged on the dryer and threw the lint on the floor. Told her to get a coat hanger and get it out herself. Unacceptable way to run a business. Hope they lose lots of customers. .I just read another review from a littlegrit2003...That was ME he was yelling at on November 12. So thanks for validating my complaint. Don’t go there, folks!

TLDR:TV was broken and they picked it up and returned it fixed in 24hrs.The long version:Had an issue with my 65 Sony doing this 6 blinking red light issue thing. I already looked up what the code was online so I knew what could have been wrong with it--either a busted backlight or a messed up motherboard--and also another local TV repair confirmed the same thing. Someone from Deans quoted me a price of $500 for everything--replacing both parts, labor, blah blah blah--, which was around what that other local quoted too. The motherboard costs about $200 and the light was about $50 depending on where you look online. Scheduling a pickup time was a bit irregular, but they worked around my schedule and dropped my tv back at my place the day after they picked it up.Only thing that concerns me is that the other tv repair shop I spoke with said they refuse to replace the backlight bc the manufacturers that sell this part online arent very reliable--the part has a habit of dying after a 2-3 months. The guy from Deans said that shouldnt be an issue and that they do this kind of repair all the time. Either way, Im holding onto my invoice and hoping for the best. If I have to pay that price again then this whole thing would not have been worthwhile bc thats the price of a new tv :/. Soooooo well see what happens. Fingers crossed!

Good communication, quick repair, and professional manners. These guys picked-up my tv on a Friday, had it fixed and delivered by Monday. The replacement was a new SC board for a Panasonic 55 Plasma, and they had to re-solder the screen grounding. The price was what I expected, fair. They offer a 60-day warranty, but I have confidence the television is fixed for the next several years. Even so, they said if I had a problem after 60-days, just give them a call to repair it free of charge. I will definitely be using these guys in the future and referring them to friends and family.

I had asked them to let me know the problem before they did any work on it...and nothing. Finally called and went to pick it up and was charged $310.00, took it home placed it back on the wall and it worked great for about 2 to 3 months then it did the same thing again from when I took it in the first time.No picture only sound...I called them and told them the problem again and he wouldnt give me any info on what was done the first time...I only asked because it started doing it again... all he kept saying was I dont know..without looking at it, bring it in. I had already explained the problem. They are very rude on the phone, but in the store I was treated well.I am unsure if I want to take it back to have them repair for the second time...since paying $310.00 was high the first time, now 2-3 months later it may cost me the same....

As far as I can tell, he only troubleshoots to the board level not the component level. I asked after dropping off my Sony TV whats the highest I can expect to pay worst case scenario, $300 was the reply. When I got the call with the estimate I was given my worst case price which I thought was a little convenient so I declined. When I picked up the TV, the last there couldnt work the register, let alone tell me ANY kind of test results or info at all. Useless waste of money, I would have at least been ok with a diagnostic report. Since I have an EE degree I popped the back off & did the research and found the part for $70. $230 in labor + $35 dish fee, to remove a handfull of screws and plug in the new part, absurd. An hours worth of work is what it equates too, Im in the wrong business!

A broken tv can drive you nuts, especially during the olympics. Your mind starts wrestling whether its time for a new one since you think itll cost less to buy a new tv than to have your tv fixed. Well Deans took my call, had someone out same day, and had it fixed in under 30 minutes. Everyone knows the older samsung boards blow capacitors since it has a questionable power supply. They swapped boards and everything works great again. I strongly recommend Deans to anyone that needs a tv fixed.

Took my 22 LCD in...audio problems. That morning, I explained the problem and paid the diagnostic fee. I wasnt contacted that evening as promised. When I was contacted I was told that the main board was bad. Really. After I was told the price for part and labor, I decided against the fix. I went in to pick up the tv and asked for a part number, hoping I might be able to find it somewhere cheaper. They couldnt give it to me....just said they did a search on it. Its almost as if they never opened the tv to figure out the problem....just took my $20 and gave the simplest answer. After researching it further last night, I found that the probable cause is a 10ohm resistor on the main board, mostly because, as I also found out, I did have sound, but only through the headphone jack. I cant replace it, but maybe they could have? While they may have opened my tv, they didnt (accurately) diagnose the real problem. Just looked for the simplest solution and gave it back...minus the $20.If you have little electrical knowledge, this might be the place to go. If you just want a tv fixed and dont care about spending way too much and not fixing the real (much cheaper) issue, this might be the place to go. Sure, they will repair your tv, but they wont have your pocketbook in mind.
