Im Desiree, a customer of Salon 300.My mother had her hair appointment with the Hair Stylist Joey. Being highly satisfied with the results, she recommended Joey to me for box braid extensions. I visited him May 23, 2020. I admit, I forgot to inform Joey during the appointment set-up that the braids I wanted were box braids; so I was absolutely grateful for his patience and for still accepting my appointment and request..Throughout the entire duration of my appointment, Joey exhibited consideration, thoughtfulness, and professionalism. Being that this was my first time having box braids, he utilized his knowledge to ensure that the ones for me were comfortable and of decent thickness. In fact, he made my comfort and safety a priority [i.e. preventing scalp burn from perm treatment, making sure that the blow dryer was not too hot for my scalp, checking often on whether the braids felt too tight]. I appreciated his care and concern; those behaviors are what make a Hair Stylist even more ideal.It felt as if we were becoming fast friends, really. I got to know him as a man whose life changed all the better because of the Grace of God. With that new-found life, he actively extends kindness and positivity to other people as often as he can, whether it be good laughs or wisdom. He also creates devotionals on his Facebook blog Radiant Son [which I am currently following] and is working on publishing his first devotional book. Joey strives to help people with his work – I say he is doing quite remarkable even as a Hair Stylist.I do intend to have another appointment with Joey – this time for crochet braids. After having positive compliments of my new hairstyle from my family and co-workers, I prefer to go back to the Hair Stylist who made it possible.So, in short:Thank you very much for styling my first box braids, Joey. I look forward to seeing you soon!

I went to this salon/barbershop, not really knowing what to expect, but I loved the service I got! Joey was an excellent hair stylist and my hair looks amazing! Highly recommend!

The Barbers and beauticians are very nice and caring. One time I went up to the shop and noticed one of The Barbers standing outside using electrical Clippers to cut a customers hair. Come to find out there was a power outage on the whole block. I admired how the employees did not turn the customers away they made a way and was still able to satisfy their customers. I would recommend 300 salon to all my friends and family. Not to mention they treat all of their customers like family.

Although this place may be filled with talented barbers one thing you should know is that they are very unprofessional and disrespectful. This is supposed to be a family salon/barber shop but the owners and workers here dont seem to give a care about that. They curse and talk about inappropriate things in front of children, women, elders they dont care. Today I went to get a cut from my barber Ray who is a very nice and respectful person and because of him being the type of person that he is, is the only reason that I have gone back to this shop. During my haircut another barber decided to give his unwanted opinion joking is what he claimed it to be about me. I didnt like what he said so I spoke up and when I did, like a child he continued on and wouldnt close his big mouth and the situation ended up turning into an altercation. He got very rude and disrespectful, and for what? Because I rejected his opinion when he should have just minded his own business in the first place. This type of foolishness, behavior and disrespect should never be allowed in a so called family friendly environment. If its strictly for thugs and ignorance and cursing and talking about sex out loud and being disrespectful to clients saying whatever to them, then make that plan before people come to this place! The talent in cutting is there, but the respect for people is not there......

My barber shop for over a decade and ownership changes! Naomi has been my barber most of this time! She is solid all around. Always punctual and she has gotten so busy with regulars you need a appointment. Now she cuts my 2yr old and 9yr old!

I have been going to JD at Salon 300 for several months now. JD is a very talented and an amazing barber, he obviously knows what he is doing and up to-date with the trends. He is fast, friendly, and very professional. He listens to what I want and I have yet to be disappointed. Ive been to several barber/barbershop within the Austin/Plfugerville area and I can say these are by far the best haircuts Ive had. If you are looking for a great haircut/fade, I would highly recommend that go visit JD at Salon 300, you will not be disappointed! I get my haircut about every week from JD.

The older man messed up my haircut. Every one seemed to know what they were doing so I agreed to let him cut my hair, but nah lol I shouldve waited.

My husband went to get a simple inexpensive hair cut at Salon 300 on Saturday and was charge to his credit card $47 for a $20 haircut.I called the shop and was transferred to the barber and the barber insisted that my husband most likely had additional services done. I insisted that he never touched his messed up beard. I was so frustrated going back and forth over the phone and told him that I was driving out there so that he can see that he barely cleaned the hair around the ears and the back of his next and that no extra services were rendered, which the barber also agreed... Thank God for that!The barber whos station is on the far right side of the salon (with a tattoo next to his right eye) made me drive all the way to the shop, just to tell me to provide him a receipt, which my husband was not given one at the time. I showed him my bank statement with the charge that went through yesterdayAfter going back and forth again at the shop, the barber placed a call to his boss and his boss told me that he doesnt show a $47 charge. The barber confirmed that the bank statement he was looking at did appear to be the $47. I told the guy over the phone that I was showing the barber the charge on my BANK STATESMENT on my app but it still was not good enough for either them and still wanted to see the original receipt, which again was not given one.I told the barber that my husband barely speaks English but the barber insisted that he was speaking fluent English when he got his hair cut. Really Mr. Barber Sir?!?I was so upset and decided to tell them that Id rather place a FRAUDANT CLAIM with my bank and walked out so upset and disappointed. I just finished speaking to my bank representative and she was more than happy to reimburse the total amount until this claim is resolved.This is a horrible situation if this is an on going practice as its a highly Spanish speaking community and I hope that its not happening on a regular bases with others who do not have the knowledge on how to get their charges corrected!Shame on you SALON 300 for not taking care of the situation right there and then and making things right with your customers!

Most of the barbers are proffesional but its not to say the place doesnt come with at least ONE rude barber. Although he cut my husband whether his fault or not....the man was totally rude about a few things, so dont be suprise to come across rudeness.

All the barbers are great. Walk ins are welcome but u would do better to call ahead.

Walked in. Theres no sign in list and none of the barbers greet you. We took a seat and sat for 45 mins as we watched other people walk in who knew the barbers personally and got to cut in front of us in line.....Barbers were also yelling and arguing the entire time we were there. Would not recommend.
