Went in asked for a bald fade for my 5 yr old son, but the guy cut a Boosie fade, so he had to redue the cut which took 45 mins for him to do a simple cut. That was an unnecessary 45 mins of my life gone down the drain. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

During this confusing time of isolation and distancing, my regular barber, and most others have understandably and rightfully boarded up and closed shop. Fortunately, life goes on for a lot of us, and I needed to clean up a bit for a final in person job interview. I saw Original Walkers was still open and made an appointment. Not only was I able to get a haircut and beard trim, but Art gave me the best fade Ive had in my life! I live .9 miles away from this Barber shop. I moved to Austin 6 months ago and have been searching for a Barber I can go to consistently who will do a killer job! My first time here today and I got Adrian Benitez(Master Barber) and seriously this is the greatest haircut and beard shave Ive ever had! Dude straight killed it! Ive been here a total of two time before. The first time I was there I was happy with the haircut I got, but the second time was a completely different story.I had gone in one day and while waiting I was asked if I was ready to be taken care of and then went over to have a seat. I did not get the name of the person who was cutting my hair, but he was light complected and had a Spanish accent. A few minutes into the hair cut he tells me that he has to use the restroom. After he gets back he continues to cut my hair using what I assume is some sort of razor or blade, when suddenly he gets a phone call about scheduling a servicing of some sort at his place of residence. I made the mistake of not asking him to step away for a moment to take the phone call or call them back later and then get back to cutting my hair. But I assumed he knew what he was doing and the other barbers did not seem to care that he was on his phone while shaving my hair line and cutting my hair. This was not the only phone call he took either as later on he was on the phone with a significant other while cutting my hair talking about nothing of importance.After getting my hair cut I went home to see how my hair looked after it dried and was unhappy with the way it turned out to say the least. I did not want to go back there, so I went elsewhere that same day to have it fixed. While the lady was cutting my hair she told me that they cut me. The picture I took of the cut was taken a full day after the incident. I would have called in that very same day to request a refund, but they were closed by the time I had my hair fixed.I spoke to the owner two days later and he agreed to give me a refund thankfully, but it was awkward as he had to have the guy who cut my hair issue it to me in person. The guy who cut my hair remarked that I should have came back so they could have fixed it for me and that I should have called them sooner rather than wait a few days after to call them. I showed him the picture of the cut and he said it wasnt that bad. Needless to say Im never returning to this place again.

Excellent barber shop with a great mix of people good music and comfortable atmosphere. I literally fell asleep in my chair. Everyone around me seemed to feel the same and my haircut came out great it was finished very well with detail. I also got an old fashioned razor shave and that part was the highlight the warm towel and great smelling cream and colognes gave me an eccentric spa feel. Thank you guys and I will recommend you to others.

Got a recommendation to go here from a coworker who likes a tight clean haircut like I do so I took his word and checked it out after having tried 2 different places since moving to Austin. RAYMOND IS A MASTER BARBER and he’s a cool guy to talk to. I hadn’t had such a killer cut in over 6 months and Raymond had me walking out looking fresher than ever. I saw the other 2 barbers working on people as well and I can say both of them did amazing haircuts. This is going to be my regular spot for sure going forward. I definitely recommend Raymond’s joint.

Amazing place to get your hair cut, best hair cut Ive since being born. I moved here from Louisiana and no barber has done as well as a job as the barbers of this shop. Im used to only having one barber cut my hair but it does not matter who does the job its always well done. Consistency is the key to great success and they have it here.

Literally the worst shave I have ever gotten! The cut was ok but took forever. He used all kind of product on my beard and it looks terrible! Broke me out and made it seem like I did something wrong. The worst! Avoid at all costs!! Had the nerve to ask what I usually shave with as if I don’t know what I’m doing...I’ll definitely just shave myself and go elsewhere! The Worst! And extremely overpriced! The Dominican Salon charges me $20 for the best cut and shave of my life in 20 minutes. These fools want to charge you $55 for the worst shave ever and it took an hour and a half! Hideous!

This place is no joke. The attention is personal, as it should be. The barbers are fantastic, as they should be. The prices are okay (bring cash!) and the decor is a little sparse, but neither of those things detracts from the overall experience.

One of the best barbershop to come to in Austin area all the barbers greet when you walk into the shop and they help you as soon as they can and on top of all that they are very respectful towards there clients. I have yet to have any issue and on top of that they cut my 2 year olds hair as well anybody that has something bad to say about bad service or them having to go get there hair fixed they are just looking for a free cut!!!

Question what’s the price for a child under 8?? ($20)? And a 13 teen ur old? ($25) Does your service include washing of hair ? Or a razor line up ? So two kids is 1/2 a buck ? Then what’s the fee for men ? And what age do you change the fee or is this determined by length of hair?? What about hair line do the barbers create there own line well I’ll be patient to see...??...

Saw many great reviews thought I would check them out.Here are things I wish I had known before I went. You have to sign in- guy behind me did not and regretted it. The wait is long- took me 2 hours to get into the chair with only 3 people before me. Guy (3rd from the end) was unfriendly, did not look at my photo for more than 2seconds, and when I suggested he take another look he said he had it. Then gave me a terrible haircut which looked nothing like the picture, it was much shorter and amazingly uneven. (One side of the bangs touches the eyebrow while the other side is barely past the start of the forehead.)He continued to jam the clippers (which he used after I suggested he use scissors to avoid a too short cut which I got) into the back of my neck causing abrasions. If this was a barberschool, this would be understandable but for the amount you pay to guys claiming to be experts it was terrible. If this place is your only option just save your money and go to supercuts, you can pay less for the same quality.
