I came to the salon at 6p when online says they close at 7p & their door also says they close at 7p.Someone just stared at me through the window, closed the blinds, and locked the door. Very rude. Should definitely update their hours. Never trying to come back again and hope yall go out of business ❤️

I had made an appointment, but due to some miscommunication it was canceled. Cesar was very accommodating though and took great of me. He was very thoughtful and explained everything he was doing and why. He did an amazing job and I got the exact hair cut I wanted. Highly recommend and look forward to returning. Me and my wife recently moved to Austin and needed to find a place that could manage our hair at a great price. Located in South Austin, Perez Hair Design was perfect for us! Not only was the price for a womens cut very reasonable, but the staff were by far the nicest and most conversational people Ive met at a salon/barber shop. I had a great experience here and will definitely be returning soon!

Good haircut, but they were not honest about their coronavirus protocols. They told me specifically to wear a mask and call when I arrive because they were only allowing one person in at a time, so I did both of those things. But when I walked in, there was another customer being served, and 3 hair dressers (they were wearing masks). Then about halfway through my haircut, another customer was escorted in and started getting his hair cut about 5 feet from me (he was wearing a mask). On the way out after my haircut, there was another customer without a mask getting his haircut by a hairdresser who had his mask under his chin. They seem like nice people, and I feel bad about writing this, but I didnt think it was right for them to have been dishonest (or if not dishonest, then they werent enforcing their policy enough) about their protocols. It is dangerous, and people could get sick.

I was in the area of the salon so I just went it. Ceasar & Myra were so friendly. I just went in for a simple wash and got the wash, blow dry, and had some hair care products applied which was awesome. I have dreadlocks and I generally dont go to too many different places but I highly recommend this spot. Ill definitely be returning whenever Im in the city.

Absolutely love having my hair done at Perez Hair Design. Cesar is amazing when it comes to hair because he has great attention to detail when styling hair. Perez is not only a wonderful stylist but also an excellent conversationalist. I was comfortable from the moment I walked in the door until I left. I was new to the area and had not found a reasonably priced place before this. I chose this place based on the good reviews and I was not disappointed! Omayra did a fantastic job! I really appreciated how she would talk me through what her plan was, so I never felt like she was just chopping big chunks of my hair unexpectedly. She also cut a section near my face purposely longer than I requested so she could keep cutting it shorter until I liked it, instead of cutting it too short and not being able to go back - and that helped so much because I did end up liking it longer than I originally thought I would so I walked away very pleased! The environment of the shop is very comfortable and cozy, it made the entire process enjoyable! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

They have processes in place to ensure health and safety first before thinking about herding customers in and out of their establishment. Perez Hair Design follows protocols and safety measures hair salons must follow but take it a step further to place other safety measures in place to ensure the safety of adults and the kiddos visiting the salon. I have been a customer for over 10 years. My stylist of choice is Cesar, the owner of Perez Hair Design. Cesar has been at this location way beyond 10 years and is a family owned and operated business. If you want to support local business, want an excellent hair cut/trim/color, this is one, if not the best salons in Austin.

Look no further! Absolutely loved having Omayra cut and style my hair, hands down THE PLACE to come to. Both Omayra and Cesar are very friendly and welcoming, and I truly appreciated the individual attention and the time Omayra took to really understand and give me the hair I wanted. I will not be going to anyone else but Omayra from here on out!

They were friendly but she was in a hurry and did not listen to what I asked her to do for my sons hair cut.(he sat still, so it was not that he was moving around). If they dont have time to do a proper hair cut they should not take a walk in customer. It came out uneven and sloppy, so I had to take him somewhere else to fix his hair.. I still paid and gave her a tip, so maybe next time she will do better and not rush..

Omayra has been cutting and coloring my hair for years and I have been very happy with her work. Even after moving north, I prefer to drive a bit further rather than changing hairstylists.

I went to get my hair done today, and I was very surprise about the set of skills this young ladies have, LETTY CASTRO was my hair dresser and she understood all my needs. I lived in Downtown and I know we would love to stay in the area, but PEOPLE FOR THE PRICE AND THE AWESOME JOB, it is worth the 10 minute drive!

There are alote of Youtube videos that people see and think they know whats best but i can honestly say that Omayra knows her stuff!!!So many people think they know what there doing but Omayra knowledge and depth of color is truly amazing. She has taken me from Blonde to Red. Ive never been dissatisfied!!! You have to see my colorist!!!(Omayra)Also my husband is always happy with the results!!!! Before I came into Omayras salon I will say I did little research. I read she had good reviews so I decided what the heck I might aswell have a consultation and see if she can work her magic on me.After a consultation wed decided to go with highlights and gradually go blonde. Im an ash brown/medium brown natural brunette and what I wanted was a natural blonde look with highlights! anyways fast forward to November 2016 when I did my first sitting...Nov. 2016 Everything was great we did thin blonde highlights. I attatched the 1st pic of the end result. It was blonde. it looked great. Although Omayra didnt really know what purple shampoo was...Thats what I used to make my highlights more Ash blonde. She charged me $170.00January 2017. 2nd sitting. Omayra did more highlights. I was therefore more blonde. I liked it. It was really yellow but I already knew with my trusty purple shampoo all the brassy ugly yellow tones will def come out. 2nd pic Im attatching is what my hair looked like NOT AFTER I LEFT THE SALON but AFTER A FEW WASHES WITH SHIMMER LIGHTS purple shampoo. Shr charged me $200 something dollars.June 2017. I had recently gotten engaged. My hair was longer and growing fast so I needed my roots to be touched up and more highlights where the leftover brown was. I scheduled an apt before my b-day with Omayra to get it done I was already prepared with paying $200 bucks. I already knew the deal. SO Omayras doing my hair and doesnt put foil in the back part of my head when she does the highlights. Im thinking whatever shes a professional she knows what shes doing. She left me under the heater machine thingy for ur head for about 30-40 minutes which was weird because she usually leaves me for only 15 minutes sometimes 20 minutes tops. Shes eating her lunch in the back while Im sitting under the heating thing and I touch the back of my hair on my head because it felt pretty hot and oh my god let me tell u It was hot and not normal the other 2 times I got my hair dont it didnt feel like this. I told her and she was like its ok. I old her again and she final rushed me out the machine and rinsed my hair. I touched my hair while she was rinsing it with cold water and dear god my hair was still hot and so was the back part of my head I kinda wanted to cry but I was like whatever Im overreacting. She finally sat me back in my chair to style my hair I looked in the mirror and for the love of god my hair is yellow and Im like whatever purple shampoo will be my bff the next few weeks and Im surprised she doesnt know what purple shampoo is bc I tell her about it a few times. Then she styles my hair and I notice my hair took forever to dry with her blowdryer. as she was combing my hair I noticed a lot of my hair was coming out. She curled my hair. I hated it but I was like whatever there is so much brassiness in my roots but again purple shampoo will take this right out. She charged me $200 something bucks I leave.When I got home.I put purple shampoo in it and I noticed while Im combing my hair too much hair is falling out. I have THICK hair so its normal for hair to fallout my my god its like a handful of hair coming out. it took forever for it to dry and when it was wet it felt LIKE BUBBLEGUM. this has NEVER HAPPENED TO ME SO IM FREAKING OUT its only the back part of my head that felt like bubblegum! I put every oil u can imagine in my hair. OLIVE, COCONUT, ALMOND AND NOTHING :( and to top it off the yellow hair turned white so I called her let her know she dyed my hair brown for me and it turned GREEN GOD PLS TAKE ME NOW AND SHE DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHY IT TURNED GREEN.I watched utube videos and the reason why it turned green was bc my hair was lacking red which cancels out green I slept with ketchup in my hair and it turned back to brown.November 2017. I tried redying my hair brown again but all box dye doesnt hold. My hair still feels like buble gum but its all growing out. I get regular trims and Ive been wearing bellami extensions. My hair Is way thinner :( I will not attach pic currently :(((
