Kandace is consistent every time. I get a perfect cut and am in and out in no time. I highly recommend her for any and all services.

I’ve been coming to this location for awhile and today I accidentally missed my appointment and they charged me full price. They were unwilling to work with me on getting a refund even if I scheduled another appointment. I understand it’s their policy but full price is a pretty steep price for a missed appointment. I won’t be returning to Finley’s for any services.

It is so nice to have Megan at the Burnett Road shop as my stylist. She is pleasant, happy, interesting and polite. What a great way to spend 25 minutes!

I had a great experience here. I had not gotten my hair cut in 18 months, so it was really hard for me to bring myself to do so. I booked with Kandace. She did a really good job, and honestly gave me the best hair cute i have ever had in my life and I have never been more please. Very professional, and clean cut. Will be back in the future, hope she is there.

Aesthetically very nice and the people are very friendly, but.... I wish some of these places that call themself barbershops actually had mostly barbers working. A beautician and a barber are not the same... I went expecting a barbershop experience. The lady who cut my hair did a great job no complaints. But she could not do what I wanted because she wasnt a barber.

The haircut was not good, it was really not good. Though the barber was nice and the other staff, also nice. The atmosphere definitely tries to give off that turn of the century (20th century) barber shop vibe and it comes close. But barber shops, like the kind I used to go to when I was young and lived on the east coast all had one thing in common. They didnt ask what number?, referring to the trimmer blade, because, and I know this sounds crazy, it was the barbers job to know about trimmer blade calibration. He would ask you what you want, you would reply, regular haircut please and in about 20 minutes youd have a nice haircut.Shortly after the barber asked me my trimmer blade preference, to which I replied Im not sure he began trim my hair with the electric clippers. it took a long time and granted I have thick luxurious hair, but it took a long time. When he was finished I saw the cut and I was immediately disappointed. But, maybe it was my fault for not knowing what trimmer blade I needed?I want to emphasize that the staff and barber were very friendly and accommodating. I was just disappointed with the outcome of the cut. The quest for a decent barber in Austin continues...

Probably one of the best haircuts I’ve had in Austin. The place was super cute. The prices weren’t horrible either. Stephanie was super gentle and friendly. Not only did she listen to what I wanted, but she was also able to improvise a bit and give me a truly superb cut. I’ll definitely go back.

Everyone is always very friendly. I always always see Heather. She’s great! Good at cutting hair and always good conversation. While they wait to see you they always have their large TV on something interesting and coffee, water, soda and beer available while you wait. Overall great place and at a reasonable price for Austin.

Stephanie was great. Never had her style my hair before, and its perfect. And I felt very safe with the new precautions youre taking with COVID-19.

Very professional establishment with top notch service. May be on the higher side as far as pricing goes but you get what you pay for and it’s worth every penny. Stephanie is my go-to for a consistent cut. Highly recommend giving them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Great barber shop. Consistently good haircuts and friendly staff. Comfortable waiting room with a beer fridge. Easy to park during the day, but I can imagine that it would be difficult around dinner time.

The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is i had to wait 25 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Pedro did an amazing job, very good attention to detail and gave me almost exactly the cut i was looking for with minimal instruction. He is a young guy, but cuts hair like a seasoned vet. Definitely recommend him. I made the mistake of going on a sunday and there were lots of screaming kids, but thats not the shops fault. Free beer while you wait is nice as well.

Juan has been cutting my hair here for 2.5 years now and I have had a fantastic experience every time. I highly recommend this Finleys location.

I’ve gone to Finley’s for a several years now and they have always been great. My initial barber was fantastic and when he moved to CO he recommended another top notch barber. Once he left the city I relied on the recs of people who work there or reviews. Unfortunately, they now are a hit or miss and more often than not, a miss. For $40 (with tip) I expect a little more care and attention to detail. My barber today seemed very uninterested in what he was doing and showed very little skill or technique. I was in and out of the chair in 15 min. Sadly this will be my last visit to what used to be a great shop.

Great place to get a haircut. I went here after I got my hair butchered by a great clips. They were able to fix my hair. I cant recommend this place enough. I was able to get an appointment the same day. They also have great customer service and offer a wide range of services.

My boyfriend and I were out running errands and he decided he needed a haircut. Honestly, the prospect of sitting in a barbershop to wait for him wasn’t very exciting, but I surprisingly had a lovely time! They have a little waiting lounge in the back with TVs, free drinks (coffee, beer, soda) and plenty of seating. It felt like I was just chilling in a coffee shop, rather than waiting in a waiting room. He also got a great haircut! When he goes back, I might just tag along again 😂

A better alternative to Birds barbershop. Appointments that matter and trained barbers that can get your mop top cropped.

I wanted to give this establishment an opportunity to correct, but management apparently takes the weekends off.My boyfriend came home with stubble all over his neck with patches having hairs up to 4mm long. If I could upload pics of the mess I would. I personally could have done it better for free. The beard isnt even consistent. Piss poor. The only reason for two and not one star is the haircut looked good. I guess you gotta buy the conditioned beard treatment to get a good beard cut and shave.

I went in to Finleys on the recommendation of a family member. I was a bit hesitant as I dont like change but I couldnt be happier with the service I received. When I came in I was greeted promptly and walked to the lounge/waiting area. The game was on, beer in the fridge, and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Natalia is the one who cut my hair and she did a fantastic job. I will be going back to her EVERYTIME! I would recommend Finleys and Natalia to everyone I know.

Went to get their premiere cut. Saw online they had an opening @ 4pm w/ Mai, instead of calling for an appt since I was on Burnet & right down the road I went directly there. Was greeted when I walked into the shop (that had 2 customers) & was told they had nothing til 6pm. They dont seem to want walk in business as I find it hard to believe Mai was booked within 5 min in a very slow shop.

This is a nice, newer Finleys location on a revitalized and popular section of Burnet. Sinks at chairs (vs. Westlake where you have to get up). Great staff. A little pricey for what you get, but overall very good.

Mai gives a great, great haircut and their options are solid for the price. The Premier Haircut Package is great.DO NOT trust them with your beard/Mustache. They completely butchered my beard on my 3 year anniversary of all days. Mine was done crooked and uneven. I can ruin my own mustache at home, thanks. Save your $15.00 and skip the beard and mustache trim.

I called and asked that they just tell me who the best person on staff is so I could quit wasting my time trying to find someone who didnt suck.Im pretty happy with their recommendation, but annoyed that it took so long to find someone good on their staff. Stumbled across this barber shop by extreme luck. It is easily the best place in all of Austin to relax and get your hair trimmed. Thank all of you ladies for giving me a wonderful experience with every visit.

New upscale shop, nice cut, massage,shaved neck. While I like these new ones, I still enjoy the old style less fancy shops with the old men barbers! Stylist and staff very nice.

I took my son for a haircut and it was the best one!! The lady was super nice to him, he usually looks very uncomfortable while getting a haircut but he was relaxed this time and its so cool they have tv and they put cartoons for him. It was really nice, we will definitely come back!!!

I was Referred to finleys by a good friend of mine.. Its neatly tucked away in a newish shopping center.. The receptionist was a doll, I waited a very short time for my appointment, and the shop is OUTSTANDING. Clean, quiet, and brand spankin new. I am VERY picky about my hair, it grows in multiple directions and is very thick and grows straight out. I like a traditional, very short, high and tight bald fade. Casey is the man, and the only barber I would even consider... Clearly his schedule speaks for itself, he stays booked about every day but it is entirely worth it. I cant recommend Finleys enough. Thanks yall.

Good barbershop with free drinks while you wait. Can call ahead to set an appointment. Most of the barbers are good but can be a little hit or miss. Haircuts come with a neck shave, hair wash and back massage.

Worse experience imaginable. Barber was Juan and he was obnoxiously rude, along with doing a terrible, terrible job.

Didnt know this, but they have a father son discount on Sundays. Not just a place for super short cuts, my son is growing out his hair and they have been great about keeping it from looking too shaggy.

The people that have cut my hair there were great but literally i have had two different barbers for 2 different hair cuts because they have quit. maybe its the way the business treats their employees but i hate finding a good barber and then having to use someone else because they quit. Two hair cuts, two different barbers within 2 months.

I recently moved back to the Austin area and was in dire need of finding a barber shop in which I trusted enough to regularly visit. A friend recommended this place to me; so I gave it a whirl, only to discover the greatest hair experience ever!!! Denise, did such an incredible job. Every snip of hers was the equivalent to every stroke of da Vinci or every strum of Hendrix. This barber shop is the unicorn of barber shops. If youre ever in need of a quality hair cut with legendary barbers then this is the place for you.

Ive been to Juan, kassandra and they were great, courteous, and worth paying the price for the service and quality of the cut. But today I went to Vanessa and she butchered my hair and tried to explain that a side part was still possible after she completely shaved my head. If she didnt understand she should have asked or slowed down. No professionalism from the start, the customer pays $30 for a cut we pay for the understanding that Finleys hires competent people. Not ones that forget, look sleepy, and dont cut hair often. I will be back since I respect the ambiance but give Vanessa some training.

Staff is phenomenal, I got a haircut and beard trim by Kara. Would recommend to anyone. The hot towel and massage as part of the haircut were a nice addition.

Love haircuts at Finleys: you can grab a soda or beer while you wait for your appointment. And the best part of the Finley experience, the neck trims two to three weeks after your haircut. I used to go to the West Parmer Lane location but I could get my trim at any Finleys. Great concept.

Finleys is a solid Barber Shop for men. Appointments are most definitely recommended, especially weekends and near holidays. A bonus is being able to find and set appts online. The only negative I have is that at $35 for a basic haircut, the barber is only given 30 minutes to cut, wash, hot towel, throw in some product and use a handheld machine to give a shoulder massage. Honestly, I can do without the jackhammer feeling around my neck, but 30 minutes is an awfully short time to get the rest done especially if you have uncooperative hair like I do with several cowlicks and hair that grows in several directions. I used to get a haircut for the same price at a general salon/shop and the stylist would spend 45 mins just washing, cutting, and putting in product...I felt like I got a better haircut for the money. Unfortunately, my guy moved south and I had to find a new place. Finleys is okay for now, but I will probably keep my eye open for other places.

Finleys is a good shop, but just FYI they have barbers and beauticians. Beauticians dont use razors.

After two visits with two different barber/stylists at th Burnet location, I can confidently this is the best haircut and grooming experience for men availabe in Austin. Locally owned and focused on a complete mens grooming experience, so far I find it flawless. Prices are a hreat value and the personal care and attention to detail is top notch.

Not Happy with the service at all. I went for the beard trim and it was a painful experience. The person trimming my beard (Joe) does not know how to use a trimmer. He was pressing the trimmer so hard on my neck which was very painful. When I came back home and checked my mustache, they were not trimmed equally. I will never go there again.
