One head was cut good but not edged correctly

I recommend this place for haircuts because there reasonably priced and they do a good job on your hair. I used to use this guy named Ruben and he was GREAT with my hair but unfortunately he is no longer here. They still do a good job tho so thats all that really matters💯👍

I was returning to the city and desperately needed a haircut since i had the chiapet thing going for me. I found this place walked in, and was promptly greeted by the establishment, in no time at all i got my hair cut and was out quickly. The barber gave me tips for keeping my hair healthy and even gave me a card to request appointments. Even as i left the crew said farewells, I feel comfortable in calling this my place for a haircut and would recommend anyone to call in a schedule an appointment.

Fast & friendly

The only reason I gave them four out of five stars, is because they close so early. My work schedule doesnt allow me to get a cut during the week, there. Other than that; it was a top notch experience. They get you in, get it right, annd get you out.

Just another crappy barbershop where they charge you to jack up your hair. Barber spent most of the time talking and arguing with the other barbers than cutting my hair. I wasnt surprised when he handed me the mirror and I was bleeding with my lining crooked and pushed back. This is the perfect place for a half ass haircut!

Ive been looking for a barber shop like this since i moved to Austin a year ago. These guys know how to cut hair.. Reminds me of home! I highly recommend Kirk.

I am new to austin and was looking for a good barber shop found this one so i wanted to give it a try. As soon as i walked in it smelled like marijuana in there. I decided to stay despite of that. After waiting for nearly 3 hours i had to leave. I kept being skipped on by the main barber guy and he told the other guy to get me i dont know why..?? Maybe my money wasnt good enough for them.. I am a great tipper by the way. Really disappointed.. I gave it one star because i have to in order to leave a review they are not even worth being on the GPS.

I arrived in Austin from out of town and needed a cut bad. I checked Google and yelp! For really good barbershops that cut African American hair. I was told Birds could do it so I called them and asked if they had a barber that specialized in my hair... There was too long a pause from receptionist as she had to ask around the shop... Nah! They were eliminated. I called three other spots in Austin and I just was not confident in the responses and photos from their reviews. All white folk sitting in the chair. I know black folk in Austin dont go to those places given the dearth of them sitting in the chairs, haha. But I almost give up because I was under a time constraint. Then Marshalls appears. I call ahead and they accepted appts or walk-ins. I order a Lyft and make my way. It was nice that the shop wasnt far from downtown so it didnt cost too much to get there. I walk in and theres lively conversation among farmers and the patrons. Definitely a neighborhood institution kind of place. I felt right at home and joined in with the laughter and smiles. I get seated in barbers chair within 15 minutes of walking in by the barber directly to the left as soon as you walk in. I watched him cut the kid before my and that shape up was so sharp you could cut bread with it, so I had a very positive first impression. He had a bit of grey in his hair which made him seem to be the oldest barber in there (just for reference.) He asked me what I wanted and he went to work... For an hour! I mean he did the thing. Scissors, straight razor, hot towel, and of course trimmers (I just wanted my hair, which is long on top, to be faded on edges taken down just a little bit on top, beard and stache trimmed and shaped up.) I could tell he really cared about his end product even though I was his second to last cut of the day. Man did he deliver! All that was only $17! So I tipped him well, he deserved it! Def will come back when I come back to Austin. If youre in need of a cut and you have African American hair, this is the place to go!!
