Beautiful venue but be aware that the ownership and management alone are not worth it. Outside of one staffer who is tasked with everything (Brianna), everyone else could give less care about you or your wedding. Three days before our wedding the owner had the gardener turn over the entire lawn. Corrine (the head manager) and the Williams (owners) were totally incapable of contact and hide behind their attorney. DO NOT BOOK HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A DISASTER. Once this venue gets a new ownership group and a new manager it would be perfect. Even the staff hates the ownership group and manager. But huge thank you to Brianna, only competent person there.
If I could give this venue less than 1 star I would. The property itself is beautiful, no doubt. The owner and management is absolutely atrocious. Truly a nightmare to work with and incredibly disrespectful for a number of reasons for which I will describe below. We booked our wedding date a FULL year in advanced. During the 2019 pandemic, a time when literally NO ONE was booking wedding venues. Youd think that Tuscan Hall would have been appreciate of our business. Instead, they failed to follow through on nearly everything that was promised. We were told a wedding coordinator would reach out to us a month prior to our wedding date, to go over the specifics of layout, rental pieces etc. Didnt happen. My husband had to follow up multiple times to get any type of response from their management. When we called them out on not being communicative with us, their pitiful excuse was that they had lots of employee turnover. The last thing a bride and groom need, the month of their wedding is added stress. Tuscan Hall added an immense amount of stress to our planning.Chafing dishes and Floral centerpieces were supposed to be available for rental. We were told a week before our wedding date that because we hadn’t requested the chafing dishes, we no longer had that option. We easily could have requested them, had the management actually reached out when they said they would, a month before our wedding date. Not to mention, no one had said we need to request them before a certain time frame. The floral centerpieces that we were told we could pay to rent, also were unavailable. Supposedly because of Covid they had gotten rid of every option except one. Unacceptable. These are the smaller things that added to the stress of planning, but the biggest thing happened 3 days prior to our wedding date. Briana reached out saying that management had scheduled landscapers to come TEAR UP the lawn to install a sprinkler system. 3 DAYS BEFORE OUR WEDDING! You can imagine our frustration. We were literally dumbfounded. Who schedules lawn maintenance just 3 days before a wedding that has been planned for a year??? We asked Briana what she would do if it were her wedding. Her response was that she would reschedule. So we should reschedule an event that was planned a year in advanced, with nearly all our guests flying in from out of town? Absolutely incompetent and disrespectful.Your sole purpose, as our venue, is to provide a PRESENTABLE venue. Tearing up the grass just days before our event, literally negates that concept. When my husband tried to reach out to Corrine (schedule coordinator) to discuss remedies for the situation and/or compensation, she was completely unavailable. She refused to respond to any of our emails. Blatant disrespect and lack of care for our special date. Briana told us that to compensate us, they would give us access to the venue at noon, instead of 4pm as scheduled. What good does giving us access earlier do, if the lawn still looks like absolute garbage? Nothing. They refused to refund us any part of what we paid. My dress got muddy and my guests shoes were ruined from the lawn being torn up and lots of rain making it worse. To sum it up, this venue is an absolute joke. DO NOT book an event with them. They are disrespectful and incompetent in every way. I hope that more people catch wind of how awful these owners are to deal with, because people like that should not be able to run a business.
My fiancé and I just had a wedding here last night and it was incredible!!!! Everything from the moment we contacted them to the end of the wedding reception, it was beyond incredible! They were responsive, affordable, and so helpful! The venue was beautiful, clean, and so well organized! The kitchen was perfectly placed and had everything we needed. Our guests raved about the venue and how beautiful it was and how perfect of a location it was. Even after the reception was over, the staff was so helpful and sweet. We couldnt thank them enough for everything. Our night was beyond memorable and perfect!! Id recommend this venue and the staff to anyone who wants any kind of event here!
First of all, there is no doubt that this venue and overall campus is beautiful. However, beauty was not the issue. I spoke to 2 wonderful staff members the first time I called. They were helpful, polite, and overall just amazing to speak to, especially when you’re planning a stressful wedding while taking into account all covid precautions. At first, I could reserve the Tuscan Terrace 60 days in advance but no sooner for my mini brunch reception. I even got an email from one of the (incredibly sweet) staff members saying the exact date I could reserve it. However she told me it shouldn’t be an issue to reserve it 90 days in advance since family from out of town would be coming. So I called back expecting to speak to the operations manager the next week in order to work that out, and instead was met with “You can only reserve the Terrace 30 DAYS IN ADVANCE” versus the original 60. So now I’m stuck trying to move my entire wedding plans because not only did they take away 30 extra days from me, but it was also the closest outdoor site that I had my heart set on booking for my intimate wedding. Very sad, even more disappointed. (PS it even said on the website 60 days, seems like the barely changed it after I called).
As a caterer, Tuscan Hall is a great venue for an intimate event and very affordable! The grounds are gorgeous, staff are very caring and friendly, bridal suite is amazing, lots of great lighting and features. They have a nice kitchen and back area for your vendors to work too.Highly recommend for smaller groups.
Went to a wedding here today...such a beautiful experience. Beautiful setting had a wonderful time. Were even considering planning our own wedding here. Thanks so much for a great time.
Really pretty place
Tuscan Hall is a really beautiful venue and the wedding was really fantastic in part because of just how perfect the location was. Im going to go into my one complaint before I compliment on the rest because I think its only fair. When we originally did a tour of the location, we were told that there was a collection of gold chiavari chairs that we would be able to select if we had few enough guests. This may have been bad information on the part of the person that gave us the tour, a miscommunication, or a change in policy (which is what we understood to be the case when we did our final tour before the wedding) but when we were told that they were not available after all, we didnt really have enough time to set up rentals (and they would have been an added expense) to compensate. Instead we choose the padded chairs (which came with the venue) and chair covers (extra) that were available because there wasnt a concession offered for the error. Aesthetically, it was not my first choice, but it worked out in the end to be more comfortable for our older guests, so its a minor point, really. If I had any advice on this, itd be the same as with any other wedding vendor, make sure you check the details ahead of time to avoid issues. That aside, every time we needed to communicate, they were extremely fast and thorough in their response. We got the impression that the folks there were really happy to work there and the grounds were lovingly kept. Even through it was not part of the agreement, the staff actually set up the tables and chairs for us the night before since they had some time to do so. Payment was super easy and there wasnt a single unpleasant person that I dealt with. I get the impression that what little I had to deal with that was on the negative side was really just policy changes rather than any one individual. I also think that the beauty of the venue far exceeds its price tag given the other locations we looked at in Austin.
This venue is not sympathetic or understanding that we are in the middle of a pandemic. We thought at first that they would be a great venue to work with this year, as they allowed us to reschedule our May 2020 wedding to September without charging us for the reschedule since everything was heading towards lock-down on the day of our original date. We see the news now, that Austin is considering another lock-down (this time for 35 days) due to our rising COVID19 cases in Texas / worry over the population overwhelming the hospital systems and decided we couldnt just keep moving our dates not knowing if 2020 is going to be a safe year or not.We called back last Monday, and spoke to Breanna who told us our options were either move our wedding date out any where for free for the next two years or only get 25% of the cost of our wedding back and our deposit. We paid over $2.5k for this wedding, that now cant happen because we dont want to put our family at risk and all this venue wants to give us back is LESS than $1k if we cancel. My partner called back today, to try to tell Davis that we would like to schedule it further out in the two years and the representative informed him that if we were doing a reschedule to try to get 50% back like other couples had been attempting - that wasnt going to happen. In fact if we tried to cancel right now instead of reschedule, that we would only get our $250 deposit back because they work their contract off the original May date not the September reschedule. What a shock - they told us one thing a Monday ago and suddenly another today. Breanna also tried to give us 25% of the OLD contract, where we didnt have extra time we paid for included, and Davis said that 25% would be higher than we were quoted. However, he could only term it today and give us $250 back or we can wait and have their manager calling us back tomorrow, since we were told incorrectly last Monday.DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENUE DURING COVID19. They are going to take all of your money and leave you with nothing to show for it. If I could give a negative star review I would. Out of our WHOLE wedding, and all of the vendors we used, they are the only ones refusing to do a refund. Which is apparently something they are doing to other couples as well!
My husband and I had our wedding here and would not have gone anywhere else. The location is incredibly gorgeous, and the staff were willing to work with our vendors and anything we needed. We had Cassie on our day of the wedding, and she was great! She kept us on our timeline but was never pushy and was flexible to any needs we had. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to have a wedding!
Best venue for our winter wedding. Gorgeous inside for our 80 person wedding. We had a perfect dance floor in the middle and our DJ even used the onsite projector. The venue is definitely pricey, but the parking and the proximity to Chapel Dulcinea was worth it to us as we wanted our ceremony and receptionin the same location. Only thing that went wrong was we thought they would set up the tables-there was miscommunication there between us and the staff of Wizard Academy. Fortunately, our family and our day-of coordinator had to step in and we had the magical wedding of our dreams.
As the owners of Austins Best DJs & Photo Booths, we highly recommend Tuscan Hall! The Chapel Dulcinea has a great view and is amazing for pictures. The hall is great for weddings and events, too! Weve done many memorable weddings here and look forward to many more!- Jason & DianaAustins Best DJs & Photo Booths
Came here for the Whiskey Tribe distillery opening. Nice grounds and a neat building to hangout in for a big ol party.
UPDATE : WAS told in June I had the 530 reservation at chapel Dulcinea but someone drop the ball and didnt chart it. Spent thousands and now I dont even have the chapel for my ceremony....the only reason I rented Tuscan hall in first place. They offered The 730 slot when its dark ....Although its not fair to both parties, the other party shouldnt have been able to book that time in the first place, they should offer it to the other party... I would even give that couple the $250 they paid .The cancellation would be due to their mishap I should get a full refundI loved this place but disappointed that paid to rent Tuscan hall full day that the chapel is Not included...THE main reason for renting in the first place. So ceremony may not be at the chapel now 😢💲😢. Biggest bummer ever. If I could make suggestions that would definetly be the first change or at least let full day renters have the chapel half a day.Prep kitchen could be better not complaining but doesnt have an ice machine... should be a must for a venue. Another hassle.🌡📌The bridal suite not included to get ready💰Another hassleThe chairs provided in Tuscan hall Require chair covers bummer💰Overall the place is pretty and cute.
Beautiful wedding venue, will definitely recommend to friends and family. .
