I took my SUV in to do some warranty repair work on the air conditioning system. They were very helpful, dealt with the warranty company and got me in and out in 2 days. I suspect it would have been same day if they hadnt needed to wait for the warranty company to respond. Allen was very informative, knowledgeable truly understands what it means to provide excellent customer service. This is the first time Ive used this repair shop and would not hesitate using them again.

If youve got a car, and it needs anything looked at, theyll treat you and your vehicle right. Ive gone in a few times and Ive never been to a mechanics shop that is so honest. They take pride in what they do, and it shows.

Let me start off by saying I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this shop! Incredibly honest and great pricing, plus family-owned! We were visiting from out of town when our van flashed a check engine warning. The chain shop we took it to was trying to take advantage of us and recommended replacing all engine coils, spark plugs, plus various flushes and an oil change for over $1500! We were skeptical and reached out to Riethmeyers because of all the good reviews. They took a look at it and found that there was only one foul spark plug. We got it changed along with the oil change and saved some $1300! They also did their homework and discovered a bulletin was out from the manufacturer and gave advice to take it to them for engine repair. What an honest shop! My brother-in-law was so impressed that he plans to take his vehicles there in the future. Thanks Riethmeyer!

GREAT WORK AND QUICK BUT OVER PRICEDI had been here once before a while back. The owner and his son are super nice. Everyone else doesnt want to have anything to do with you and definitely do not have great customer service skills. So I just decided not to go back again. Then I had my car break down right down the street from them and need a new alternator put in, and a friend recommended them again. I hesitated after bad customer service the first time but they did do quality work and got it done in a pretty good amount of time. Not knowing anything about cars, I agreed to their services even though it seemed high. I figured that was my only option and since my friend is friends with the owner I figured they wouldnt take advantage of me. Plus I would have to have it towed again and pay for that. Come to find out they offered a new part for full price rather than offering a remanfuactured part for less than half the price. ON A CAR WITH 160K miles. I feel taken advantage of because they didnt offer this option. Ive been several other places that have definitely given options rather than say this is it, pay this much. I didnt do my research until post-fix and I wish I would have taken it else where to be done at a lower price. With women always being taken advantage of, they should really be more careful about explaining things rather than just saying this is what you pay, period. I wont be back again.

Not only did they share concern about my car shaking badly, the test drove it several times and didnt give me a service charge when they found nothing wrong, told me what could have possibly happened and on top of that, noticed my power steering fluid was low and topped it off at no charge!!!! huge thanks to these guys for not taking advantage of a tourist!!!!!!!

I brought a car in for a pre-purchase inspection. Right off the top they were very courteous and professional. They went thru the car bumper to bumper and provided me with a detailed report. Best auto repair shop ever! Firestone quoted me for almost $2,000 saying I need to replace my rack and pinion and ball joints. I had the car towed here and they looked at it and called and said the rack is okay you are just missing the two bolts to hold it to the frame. They replaced the bolts and my car is just like before with only $76 spent for the two bolts and labor. They even gave me a ride to work for free the day I dropped it off. I whole-heartedly appreciate the honesty and follow-up!! I will be using this shop for any future auto repair needs.

Had my Pontiac Fiero that needed a little bit of work taken here and they did a pretty good job. The quality of service at Riethmeyers is above average and they have a very low sales pressure staff which was nice. I would suggest having your vehicle diagnosed elsewhere, however, as they offered to charge about twice as much as other places would have for the same diagnosis. They also left a fair about of dirt inside my car on the door panels which I wasnt pleased with. All around a good shop but they arent interested in going the extra mile to earn a fifth star.

Been here a few times and theyve always done good work quickly at a fair price! Waiting room has WiFi and power so I was able to work while they fixed up my car. Highly recommended!

Did not know of any auto repair places in Austin. Found this one was close and highly rated. I can see why. Took me without an appointment, and repaired the car in a few hours at what I felt to be a reasonable price. Everything was explained up front so when I picked the car up, there were no surprises. I would use them again.

Took my car here to fix a stuck window. Cost me $100 and it was quick. Then I took a used car I was test driving. They took about an hour and checked everything. Terry gave me his honest opinion on the car and based on his advice I ended up buying a different, brand new car and Im glad I did. Very honest people. If you need to test cars they have good deals.

Came here for a variety car fixes because a family friend suggested it. They worked incredibly fast given all that I had them fix. I asked them to call for estimates on some of the repairs and they did just that. They didnt try to sell me fixes any other problems they might have found! They were also incredibly affordable! The only con I can say is that it was a little difficult to find since they dont have a noticeable large business sign. I would recommend Riethmyer Auto Repair to everyone!

I was looking for a trustworthy garage/mechanic in the North Austin area and found it in Reithmeyers. You know you are at a good auto repair place when on the wall of the waiting room there are pictures of the family winning dirt track racing trophies. This is a family business that knows autos. I was selling my car and buying a used one from private party. We took both cars in to have a complete review/inspection of them. Its 90.00 for this service, and it is the best 90.00 youll ever spend if you plan on buying a used car from someone. Its also nice to have the inspection report to show potential buyers of your own car. If you need your car serviced, take it to them.

After a few hundred miles on the road, several lights went off in our Jeep – and the whole vehicle had just been inspected the month prior. From the time we walked in, Shawn (the owner) and his team were incredibly helpful. They reviewed the manifest of the work previously done and quickly went to work on examining the Jeep. Within an hour they were able to identify the need for a new ABS sensor on the right side, which we anticipated, but also the need for a new alternator. We’re so glad they identified that because our stop in Austin was in the middle of our transcontinental trip to Los Angeles and we wouldn’t have made it otherwise. The team got to work right away after we approved it and we were back on the road by 2pm (we got there at 9:30am). We were incredibly pleased with their comfortable lobby (wifi was a plus) and the multiple offers for a shuttle, should we have needed it. Thankful for the team at Riethmeyer Auto for their help, friendliness, and speed.

Came here because engine light came on after getting oil changed by a different place. They fixed the problem for free.Came again for them to fix my drivers side door that made a terrible rattling noise that another place had fixed twice. They fixed it quick and for a good price. Hasnt made noise in months.

These people are as Honest as the day is long. If they tell you something is broken you can bank on it. I went in willing to pay for a new water pump. Turns out it was a loose clamp on one of the hoses. They charged me an hours labor and I would have willingly paid more. If they tell you your blinker fluid is low buy a quart! HaHa!

My 1995 Chevy Caprice Classic had no A/C in it for two years. I was afraid to go get it looked at due to what I thought it would cost to repair it (more than the car is worth, for sure?). I took it to Riethmeyers, they had it fixed quickly (an hour maybe) and charged me $160 for the recharge, labor, and valve covers that needed replacing. That was over a month ago, and my A/C is still blowing ice cold. Im taking Floe back next week to get the windows fixed. I will be going to Riethmeyers for all my future auto needs, as applicable.

I originally went to Riethmeyers to rent a Uhaul trailer but while attaching the trailer we discovered that I had lost the voltage output from my left rear turn signal through my vehicles trailer lighting module. Kieth went way above and beyond in helping me resolve the problem in short order. He and the entire staff are friendly, stand-up folks who know what they are doing and are big on customer service.

Ive been a customer of Reithmeyers for about 4 years now. They always take care of you, no matter how big or small the job is. Theyll offer free rides to and from the place once youve dropped your car off and theyre very prompt about getting back to you with estimates for repair.Ive taken my own parts there before and they only charged me labor. This is typically not something a repair shop will do! They even once spent an afternoon trying to find a clunk in my SUVs suspension, and upon not finding the source, advised me that they couldnt find anything wrong, and didnt charge me for the diagnostic. Id recommend them to anyone for any type of service!
