Posting on behalf of my mother-in-law:I purchased a Honda Pilot Elite as a company vehicle. The driver seat is very uncomfortable. Upon sharing my concerns with the dealership, I was told that perhaps I am sensitive.I have had others drive the vehicle since and no I am not losing my mind. There is a manufacturer defect in the seat. I decided to run an experiment.....I had a 100% Honda lover, has a Honda with no knowledge of the problem. He reported that there is something strange with the seat. Should be an 8 way with lumbar for an ELITE, but does not work correctly. The seat is defective, the dealership said this is normal due to cool seats and air bladders in the seat.I have Chevy SUV with A/C seats, no problem. Own a Jeep with cooled seats, no problem. A friend that drove this new Honda owns a Toyota SUV with cooled seats, no problem. The dealership offered to buy back for 5K less than what I paid or I could go have a custom seat installed another 4-5K. And this is Hondas Elite.This SUV was purchased as a company car through Honda Business Account. Our company purchases cars and trucks through our fleet accounts and interact with dealerships more than the average buyer. Upon sharing my concerns with this dealership (first time to purchase from this dealer) I did not feel heard, and the problem was not addressed. It was more we will purchase back at 5K less (which is a 10K loss with TTL for our company) or you can deal with it yourself.WOW Company Business Owners....Beware When I was finally able to speak with a sales rep, I requested that they address my concerns. If not, I would like to rescind my purchase and return the car, note there is less than 200 miles on this vehicle. Joseph basically said that it was my problem, I purchased and have possession of the vehicle. I immediately contacted our corporate lawyer (more money to shell out) and he provided to the dealership, a notice to rescind. Josephs comments clearly communicated to our company that Honda is not geared to support corporate accounts.
On September 24, 2021, I drove to First Texas Honda for solution to iPhone connectivity issues with my Accord.Brandon and Sergio Hernandez quickly resolved the issue. They did it without delay or request for an appointment. They provided this superior service at ZERO cost to me.Another Honda Dealership in Round Rock wanted me to make an appointment (3 weeks out) for the same issue.This singular customer service by Sergio Hernandez and Brandon is the reason reason am recommending First Texas Honda to everyone for both purchase and service.Thanks to Brandon and Sergio Hernandez for the exceptional customer service!!

Had a superb experience buying my first car here a few months ago: a certified civic. Jeff and Dylan were super patient, helpful... One could even say supportive in helping decide and finance my vehicle. The in house insurance agent (progressive) they referred me to also provided great pricing and service. The one thing I opted out of house for was the auto loan, which I pre-qualified for prior to purchasing. The car I chose was in excellent technical condition, and if I had to, my only complaint was that the interior was dirty. Just brought my car in for maintenance, and was in and out within 15 minutes.Would recommend the 10/10 service, professionalism, awesome coffee bar, and overall friendliness of First Texas Honda.
DO NOT USE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!Save your money, time and vehicle and go somewhere else. As you can see in the pictures these people left the air filter off in my car and not only that but the oil cap was just sitting on top of the engine as well. Best part is that they were busy trying to up sell my girlfriend on a new air filter, tire rotation and brake fluid flush, yet they couldnt even finish the job the vehicle was taken in for... basic oil change that even jiffy lube cant mess up. I also tried contacting the service department manager but I keept getting transferred to voice mail. I will be taking my business elsewhere along with all the people I have referred/recommended.
I came in at the end of the day with a nail in my tire. I am so appreciative that First Texas Honda for getting me in quickly, identifying the problem, and patching my tire for a very reasonable price. Quick, wonderful service and at the very end of the day. Much appreciated!
Fred Mathis was my advisor during the process and he was excellent. I really appreciated that since Austin is in Stage 5 pandemic, he wore a mask the whole time we interacted. He gave amazing service, explaining everything well and keeping me informed along the way. The cafe service was also top notch and the barista that was attending at the time thankfully also wore a mask. First Texas has also created a new outdoor seating, well ventilated, area right outside the cafe with lots of fans to keep you cool. Wifi worked well and was able to work while I waited. It made the wait to have our car serviced safer and tolerable. About a third of the employees were not masked indoors, which is against Stage 5 pandemic recommendations, especially in an area that is having hospital care shortages. Surprisingly most customers were masked indoors when I was there, even though First Texas didnt require it.
Bought 2 cars from here. Staff has always been friendly and helpful from everywhere: parts, service, and sales. Id recommend these guys to anyone looking for a Honda or a used other
I had a really wonderful experience working with Kenneth Hall at First Texas Honda. The day I came in, I had an extremely frustrating experience at a dealership down the street. I really wasnt looking forward to talking to yet another dealership and fielding more inappropriate and upsetting behavior. But when I showed up to Honda, Kenneth was so incredibly kind, thorough and helpful. He followed up with timely and helpful emails and even though I was unable to purchase a car through Kenneth and First Texas Honda due to shortages, I definitely recommend this dealership!
I had been looking for a used 4Runner for a while. I found this one online and Anthony Raglin helped when I arrived from Houston to look at the vehicle. He was extremely prompt, professional and helpful. The application process took a while but that was no fault of Anthony’s. He kept me informed the entire time and was very personable. If you go to this dealership I highly recommend asking for Anthony by name.I only had one issue, after I had left for Houston in my new 4Runner I stopped mid way to get gas as I was running low and when I went to pump gas the gas cap had a lock on it. The keys the dealership gave me had no key for the gas cap so I was stuck. I had to borrow some tools and break off the gas cap to be able to put gas in it to get home and then go purchase a new one along the way. I was surprised that this was overlooked and while I am extremely happy with my vehicle, First Texas Honda and Anthony I hope that something is done to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else who doesn’t have a good understanding of problem solving and automotive mechanics.
First Texas Honda is always professional, timely, and communicative. I bought my Honda from them years ago and now had to get it repaired and serviced in the shop. When it comes to the service team, they are very clear with expectations and timeline. They provide a very nice loaner when the car is in the shop without even having to ask. They also provide text and phone call updates to let you know the status. When it comes to cost, another car maintenance shop quoted double for the same service. I am so glad I got a second opinion with First Texas Honda.
I dont normally leave reviews but that was an extremely pleasant experience! Who knew you could have a great time at a car dealership.Took in my 2002 Honda for an Airbag Recall and got a few people complimenting it from the get-go which was funny and nice.Legit EVERYONE there was SUPER NICE. Not only the employees but also the customers. The weather today is perfect so maybe everyones in a cheery mood!But the outdoor work space was great, the free coffee (pretty good too!) the friendly and chatty employees and they washed my car for free!Hell Id go back there just to hang out if thats allowed, I havent left a random store feeling this good in a while!
My wife and I came to this dealership after looking at their website and seeing a couple cars we were interested in. We met Bob, who was our sales rep. He was very helpful and pleasant, and helped us to understand the ins-and-outs of the cars we were looking at. When we were serious, we spoke to the sales manager as well. He helped to work out a very attractive deal.... in our opinion. The whole process went smoothly, and we feel we were treated well. If you are looking for an automobile in the Austin area, I can feel comfortable recommending you consider this dealership.

I’ve walked out of a few dealerships before coming to First Texas Honda simply because of the service. Joseph An was a great salesperson! He was super genuine and really personable. He was straight to the point, didn’t waste my time and got me a great deal. Josh Hutchinson was also really great during this process! He made everything easy and made me feel comfortable in the environment. Would definitely recommend buying here and working with them if possible! Would definitely come back myself in the future. Checking the car in and out was easy. Service rep was helpful, friendly. He listened to our questions about some issues beyond the oil change we were in for and helped us figure out a schedule to address them at a future visit. I never felt like anyone was trying to up-sell products or services.

I never write reviews, but I really felt it is well deserved to share such a great experience.I called late on a Friday to see about the availability of a car that they had listed on their website. I spoke to a gentleman named Ben who assured me that the car was available and he proceeded to get my information so I could be reached to move forward. Thalia reached out to me shortly afterward and the rest of the process was very quick and painless. I told her what my loan officer needed and she told me what she needed from me. Her communication was fantastic, especially considering I was in a bit of a hurry to get everything taken care of before my credit union closed. Drove to Austin the next morning with the check in hand. From the moment I walked in to the time I drove off, everything was smooth. Everyone I came in contact with was very kind and professional. I cant remember the name of the gentleman in the finance department that helped me, but he did a wonderful job also! All in all, I dont think my experience could have been any better and I really appreciate everyone who made my experience so amazing. Ive serviced by Odyssey here for years, and they always do a great job.They have a free, full service coffee bar with snacks and other drinks. A large sitting area with arcade games; friendly staff, great customer service, price matching for tires, I really could go on.I even went here to check out a new car I was thinking of buying (didnt end up buying), but they treated me with respect, went out of their way to make me happy, and provided great communication/information fast.Even after I told them I wasnt interested in the car, they remained friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend them if youre in the area and either need servicing for your Honda, or are interested in buying a car.
This review is long overdue. My experience at First Texas Honda couldnt have been better. My old Honda became damaged in a very unfortunate and costly way. Chris in the service department put me in a free rental for the entire time it took to diagnose my car, and was so patient in dealing with my difficult insurance company. Ultimately, the car wasnt worth the cost of repairing so I ended up purchasing a new car from First Texas Honda. Brandon in the sales department provided thoughtful answers to all of my questions concerning the models of new Hondas I was considering. He also stayed in constant communication with me regarding the status of when my car was in stock and ready for purchase. Don was also extremely helpful in the financing process. He was able to get me a much better interest rate than my bank was willing to offer me.I would recommend First Texas Honda in a heartbeat to anyone needing repairs to their Honda, or considering buying a new one!
Fantastic dealership. Everybody we interacted with was extremely kind and helpful in purchasing my first car. The free coffee was very tasty too! Diana and Sean were the two sales consultants who helped me, and they were top notch. I could not speak higher of them or this dealership.

Im definitely loving my brand new HR-V.Thankfully, the only issue Ive had so far (after 2 months) was a software update...really wish this pitfall of great technology could be avoided and cars could be manufactured differently. Im happy the staff at the service center fixed it no problem!! Great place to do business!!!!
Came in as a walk in on a day they were definitely busy, and they were very nice and helpful. I had to leave my car there and they got me in and out of there in a rental within 10 minutes it was so easy!! Anthony was personable, kind, and you could tell he wanted to help. Appreciate him and the guys that worked on my car! Definitely will be going here for oil changes and anything else to do with my car!

This business doesn’t care about its employees. Employees were fired because they questioned money missing from their paycheck. The response was that it was for 401k when no authorization was given to collect 401k from said employees. When they asked for their money back, the companies response was to fire those employees. The people who kept their jobs were the ones who stayed quiet. Think about this before doing business with a company that participated in this kind of behavior.
Great experience buying Honda Accord 2021. Ron was our salesman. Very professional and made us comfortable in buying the car. We were in 2 minds but Ron helped us in making decision at every step with the help of colleagues Season and Elaine. Also enjoyed snacks and drinks in the waiting area. Nice buying experience.
We had a great overall experience purchasing our 2021 Honda Pilot for our new growing family. Anthony was our salesman, and he gave us honest and helpful advice on which vehicle would best fit our lifestyle. We even got some great deals and packages that didn’t seem out of budget for us. The process was not long at all, even though we didn’t schedule an appointment. We were fully expecting to have this drag into a whole day process, get the runaround, etc. But that was the opposite experience and everyone at First Texas Honda who helped us made us warm and welcome!

Ivan Herrera was amazing! I took my car in to get the a/c fixed and he explained everything thoroughly throughout the process. I ended up getting a rental car and every step of the way he contacted me, which made the car repair process easier. I would definitely go back and appreciated his great customer service and support.
Getting service through Tony was awesome. He provided an update half way through and was very detailed and not pushy which made me feel comfortable the entire time. I’ve had pushy service reps in the past that had me questioning whether I would go back to First Texas or switch to Round Rock. I’ll go back as long as Tony is there.

I bought a car here and everything seemed fine until they needed to refund me for an add on and they agreed but never did. Now 3 months later still waiting for my refund and they won’t return phone calls. Go buy from another Honda Dealer, customer service here has been terrible.

Oil change and tire rotation went just as expected. Service included a multi-point inspection of all the safety concerns for the vehicle. Also included a car wash. The service center seems to be eternally busy, so it took longer than I expected, but the customer lounge has a nice snack bar operated by ‘eager to help’ folks.
Buying a car in this market can be incredibly stressful and we went to First Texas Honda after a lot of negative experiences elsewhere. Our salesman, Greg Powell, was recommended to us by friends and we were so happy to work with him. The process of buying our new car was painless and Greg was great to work with!

Its always pleasure to go to First Texas Honda, right from dropping the vehicle, getting updates and the final delivery is a very smooth. Though the service is expensive, its worth it. I like the Red, Yellow & Green recommendations. Only thing I miss here is, you dont get any discount coupons/specials.

Car shopping should be like this everythime like my experience with Anthony !I had a great and easy visit with Anthony. He was easy to talk to, very amicable and professional. Understood what I needed and didnt try to sell me up.We pointed out cars and he brought them out very quickly. It was very exciting to have so many options. And test drive them.I ended up buying a car for myself. And I was actually there to shop for a car for my son soon to be home from the Marines. He gets my truck so its all good.Ive never liked sales people like with doctors, its hard to find the right one for your needs. But He Was Awesome!
Customer service and professionalism is excellent. Service advisor Anthony was professional, personable, and very good with communication. Offered a great complementary loaner car while my car was being worked on. Only slight negative is that they recommended changing cabin air filter even though it was only about a month old and I felt like they were trying to upcharge/upsell me on something that wasnt necessary.Might be a little more expensive than an independent shop, but they do extra things like wash the exterior of your car, and their communication and customer service is worth the cost. Also, for Honda-specific things like recalls and service bulletins Id rather stick with a dealership.
The staffs from answering the phone to the visit of the dealership, test driving the car and finance department are all friendly and responsive. Both Michael Broderick(sales) and Jesse Sims(finance) are very professional and great at their jobs. I am happy with the purchase. The detailing department does need a bit more work in getting the car ready for delivery. Overall, I recommend First Texas Honda when you need to purchase a new or used car.
Chris Sutton in the Service Dept went above and beyond to accommodate my service request. The entire team was efficient, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. The actual repairs were top notch and they even took care of a safety recall while the car was there. Would recommend the service to anyone. Thanks yall!

Anthony Raglin was my salesman, and he was extremely helpful with my trade in process as well as assisting me in choosing the right car to better fit my family’s needs. He walked me through the entire car and its features explaining how each one of them worked.The process was not long at all. Brought in our vehicle under warranty for a rattling seat in the back of our van. i supplied a description of the issue, a video of the sound during normal driving conditions, then additionally repeated all of that information again for the service advisor.After a week with our vehicle we were told that rattling seats were caused by a seat latch that is “faulty by design” and since it was a “characteristic of the vehicle” there was nothing that could be done.
We took my car to First Texas Honda to get an oil change and inspection. Tony was our service advisor and he took great care of us! While we live closer to San Antonio, we always take it here because they are honest and dont try to up-sell you on other things you dont need. Highly recommend!!

Horrible service! Stay away from this shop. These guys really ripped me off badly.During the service(my service lasted around 1 week due to weired reset problem, which they cannot fix and send my car to tech master in other shop), they rented me a car. After 3 days driving, I got a flat tire and I drove back to get another car. Initially, they said it was patchable and charged me $40. 1 day later, they called me again saying that it should be replaced with a brand new tyre, as they found another nail on the tyre, which I wasn’t informed of at the initial inspection. Finally they charged me $300. The manager showed very arrogant attitude to resolve the issue, not willing to do anything better.Their labor cost seems to be at least 20-30% higher than other shops.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR ANYONE.THESE GUYS WILL RIP YOU OFF TERRIBLY.
My experience with First Texas Honda was nothing but amazing. Holden Stedman was who helped me lease my new Honda Accord. My experience with him was incredibly respectful and professionally honest. I felt nothing but comfortable and to anyone looking to buy or lease a car to go to First Texas Honda. You WILL be taken care of and love/trust your new vehicle.
Set an appointment to test dive a car, thought it would be ready when I got there to take out. It was not, I arrived before 5:15 did not get in a car till 5:40. On the test drive, asked about other finance deals the dealership had and the sales guy had no clue what they were. Very disappointing trip. I have bought cars from them before with way better service than I got to get today.Update response:First class is not how I would describe your experience. I left a voicemail for the Sales Manager on Friday when I made the review, No one has called me back. You have my contact info from when I made the appointment, and my voicemail, and not one person has followed up on the lack of timeliness of the appointment.Please dont act like this is news to you all. during my wait I used the chat function on the website and also asked the front desk person to get me a sales person who was free. To which no action was taken I had to continue to wait for the unprepared sales person.4 week update: The sales manager has yet to respond to my voicemail and they stopped assisting me in buying a car.

I purchased a 2020 Honda Civic Sport, it is so sleek and beautiful and definitely has the feel of a sports car! This is my first time owning a brand new car, im extremely pleased. I worked with Greg Powell from First Texas Honda, he was AMAZING. The process was effortless on my end. I originally tried to work with Round Rock Honda, with no response I was feeling a little discouraged but after initially reaching out to First Texas Honda Greg reached out to me immediately and was able to get the price just where I needed it to be that same day. I went in the next day and the car was even better than I expected, we did some paperwork and within the hour I was on my way with my new car. This location was so amazing they had a section to relax and get coffee or a snack as a courtesy. They also offer and I recommend the Honda Care, we chose the 8 year, 120,000 mile warranty and my mind feels as ease knowing that Honda has me covered for anything that could come up in the future. I also recommend the Honda Care that relates to your cars maintenance we chose a 4 year plan which means this dealership will perform my oil changes, fluid changes and maintenance when I need them to and also if something happens to my car they will loan one to me while mine is being fixed. This is a car my family plans on having until it cannot drive anymore and its truly worth the investment, Honda is known for being reliable. This is why I chose Honda. 💙 Thank you so much for making this process fun and exciting, we truly enjoyed every moment!Here is a picture of our 2020 Honda Civic Sport in the color crystal black pearl! This is a complicated review. I bought an Accord from First Texas Honda back in June. Perfect sales experience. Joe Morales and Julian Rodriguez are great. Unlike Howdy Honda, they did not add a whole bunch of useless dealer added accessories onto the vehicle to mark up the price. I did most of the sales negotiation via email and only came in to sign the paperwork. Easy.The main issue I had was with their finance department. The dude was straight up rude and angry when I wouldnt purchase the additional warranty. He pitched it several times and I was like, no thank you. I couldnt have been any clearer. Then he got angry and was like why would you want to pay more for service? He kept asking that question. It got SUPER uncomfortable. I just kept saying, no, thank you. I just wanted to get out of there. It was *the* craziest experience I have ever had with regard to sales.The other main issue, and it may not have been totally First Texas Hondas fault, was that it took FOREVER for me to get my plates. Like, FOREVER. I had to keep pestering them and finally they were able to pick up the permanent plates up from the DMV. It was nuts. Ive never had to wait that long for plates before. And they give you a ton of time on your paper ones. It was a mess.To be fair to them, any time they needed more information, they overnighted whatever they wanted me to sign since I live in San Antonio, including the plates. And the title clerk and receptionist were all super friendly and customer service oriented.I would 100% buy a car from them again--Joe and Julian both helped me out--they are top notch salesmen. Both very responsive to email inquiries.But I would also 100% walk out the door if I had to go to the same finance manager no matter what deal was on the table.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience buying a new car at First Texas Honda! I had a very disappointing experience with another local Honda Dealer (*cough, cough Howdy Honda) and decided to give First Texas Honda a call. The entire process was smooth, transparent and enjoyable. From my first phone contact with Ben Vinger, to the low stress sales process with Julian Rodriguez, to the payment process with Jesse Sims I was impressed with their engagement, honesty, attentiveness and courtesy. The showroom is very nice and they have free delicious coffee and snacks. High marks for this talented team!

After buying a $400 replacement key at First Texas Honda, it wouldn’t unlock my doors. I was told, “you didn’t express to the technician that you wanted to be able to unlock the doors.” Long story short, I’m no longer welcome back at First Texas Honda. They also said my other key didn’t unlock the doors remotely so the problem has to be diagnosed and repaired. I just switched the battery in the other key and it works fine.
I was very satisfied with Hondas service. I do feel like there may have been some service suggestions that might have not been necessary.
Actually enjoyed taking my car in for service because of the cheerful, helpful and friendly person who assisted me. He made it all so easy and pleasant — and the waiting area is very comfortable.
Ive shopped at other South Texas Honda dealers (Howdy, Gunn, San Marcos, Fiesta, Benson) throughout the years and First Texas is my favorite for both service and sales. I originally took my Accord here for service in 2018 and 2019 and was always treated very well. This year, we decided to purchase a new vehicle and, even though we dont live in Austin anymore, we went out of our way to come shop with First Texas. It was worth the trip and we will definitely be coming back if were in the market for another Honda in the future.
This was my 1st time buying a car by myself without the help of my brother. I went in very nervous about the experience, however, Ron Pilz made the experience so easy. He wasn’t the “pushy” salesman I had made up in my mind that I would experience. He gave me the time and space I needed to make an informed decision on what I wanted to do. Highly recommend working with him if this is your 1st car or even your 10th. He’s great!

I have a 14yr old car 190k miles, when the ignition cylinder lock failed, I took it in - the quote to fix seemed pretty high, but I know they offer a lot better and more service than a local shop. The part took a little while to get in, but got done within hours of showing up, the out the door price was a lot cheaper than quoted, and I had a loaner..... i probably would have had to choose between a new car or new job had I gone somewhere else. Bottom line- great service, good value, and cheaper than quoted.
My husband and I have been looking for a vehicle for months. We kind of lost hope until we stopped by at Honda. All I can say is WOW!! WOW!! DON’T BUY HONDA CARE HERE! And if you DID… you can CANCEL within a certain time period, get your MONEY BACK and purchase elsewhere. I recommend a different dealer such as Hyannis Honda (google them) and pay MUCH less with ZERO haggling. It’s the same Honda Care whether you buy it here or from another dealer.I saved over $2000 on Honda Care which is now going towards payment of the car. First Texas STEALERSHIP 🤢Attached is my personalized quote for Honda Care. I definitely recommend getting a quote through a second dealer and seeing if First Texas STEALERSHIP will match it.

I don’t know what to say about them. I bought my car there. That’s about it. There is no relationship. You just buy a car and you like become invisible. So I plan to do my periodic maintenance visits elsewhere. No point in making the trip over to them because there is no dealer-buyer relationship. They certainly don’t act open to that where the customer feels appreciated and in return, the buyer/customer will show loyalty.

Bobby Mills was a wonderful technician. While they were waiting for the part they needed to repair my 2012 Honda I was given a loaner car. The coffee bar in the service area makes waiting almost a pleasure.

Ive never had a bad experience with First Texas Honda. I bought and have had my Accord serviced there many times. Customer service is impeccable. Every single person Ive interacted with has been extremely friendly and accommodating. I most recently had Bobby as my service provider and he was awesome, very personable and helpful and not pushy at all with additional services which I appreciate so much! But ALL of the service providers are awesome, I just cant remember all of their names!!
