Place is a good place to take your car the people there were up front and honest. They give the cost of the repairs not lying about what it shouldnt need or give false information about whats wrong or add to it my truck is old and if you do any work on it tell what you did and that will help them to determine what to look for what I forgot to ask them is if they have car shield or any help in paying for repairs like an account to pay on the repairs but in all honesty Mcspadden is a great place to get your car FIX so thanks Mcspadden by the way you could work on giving us senior citizens a discount 😏 just thought I mentioned it thanks

I was waiting for my daughter to get out of surgery and I’m from out of town and had a very low tire pressure alert. They checked the tire and filled up all tires at no charge.

My having a very difficult time finding a shop that could do an alignment and replace 2 tires after I got off work is an understatement. I emailed McSpaddens and got a very prompt response from their manager, Julian. He was able to provide an estimate and we were able to schedule an appointment all within an hour. When I got there, they had my car in about 2 minutes after I sat down. Im very impressed with their flexibility, determination to get the services done, keeping their word, their manager Julian, and just my overall experience.

McSpaddens has been the best every time. Julian especially has helped me. He found a warranty once for me that actually sent me back to Ford for free service. McSpadden’s has been the best price for fast and reliable repairs every time I need something.

In the past, it has been an exceptional shop. Something has changed. Approved over 1400 in work. Never received a call telling me my car was ready. I had to call. Then when I went in to pick up, there was extra work done on the car without any discussion from them.The girl at the counter lied concerning additional charges, and supposedly called the mechanic to verify why the additional charges, with no ligitament answer.Couldnt explain why work was needed, such as bad top front motor mount, when we havent driven the car due to covid, since they did the last work on it. Either did not do a good job previously, when they had to remove the intake to fix, or ...... I cannot say for sure, but I could not have done business like this to my customers.I will not go back.

My Toyota was experiencing some electrical problems that was a bit too involved for a nearby station. The mechanic recommended McSpaddens. The people there were very professional. My Toyota was repaired the same day and the price was very reasonable. So, yeah, we now have a good place for all of our services

I rely on my trucks for work, so they need to be running well and I cant be without them for long when the arent. The team at S. Congress McSpaddens has worked on all my trucks for several years and they understand this. They are quick, do excellent work and are fair about pricing. And on the rare occasion if something isnt right, they own up, and make it right. And theyre always helpful and friendly! A true neighborhood mechanic!

I had an electrical issue with my car that kept leaving me stranded for hours before it was able to start again. The mechanic at McSpaddens was able to duplicate issue and had it fixed that day!

I’ve been going here for years! They’ve worked on 4 different cars for me, and each time the service is outstanding at a fair price. Recently I went in for an oil change and mentioned my brake light was out and my key fob battery was dead. They were able to fix those other issues, within the same time frame, for a few dollars more. Talk about service!!

I’ve only taken my car to the Mercedes dealership in Georgetown for service since I purchased it there almost 5 years ago. I’ve NEVER had a good experience at the MB of Georgetown dealership, and finally decided to take my car somewhere else. For almost half of what MB was going to charge me just for new brakes, McSpadden’s did my vehicle inspection, oil change, and new brakes and rotors!!!! Communication was awesome. I also appreciated they all wore masks and maintained social distance with customers. I wish I’d found McSpadden’s sooner because my car has never ran this well. Completely recommend!!

I have been taking my car here for routine maintenance for a while now and recently had to have a new alternator installed. They have always completed work in a timely manner, provided me with updates, and charged a very reasonable price compared to other businesses out there. I needed to get an emissions test for my car. It was going to be a several hour wait so they let me drop it off and called me to pick it up as soon as it was ready. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back for future car needs.

Been watching this new build develop over the last few months and just noticed a nail in my tire a few days ago and stopped by today to check them out.Im so please to say that I had a great experience. Customer service was excellent and I was able to find out that the nail didnt pierce through the entirety of the tire. Was removed and tested to ensure the tire was good to drive on. Service was fast and excellent. Will defiantly return when my next need arises.

Called the day before for an inspection. Was told to come in after noon as they were otherwise backed up. Arrived just afternoon as explained and was told their only inspector wasnt even there. They also wouldnt allow any sort of appointment or to call me back. They might do outstanding work, but whats that worth if their customer service is so poor.

I took my car to a different place for an oil change. They did a free “inspection”. They said my car needed some work done and gave me a quote of almost $1800. I was skeptical because they were charging me for things that I’ve replaced (e.g. spark plug, filters) relatively recently. So I took my car to Mcspadden’s. They did a 42 point inspection and I was right. The other place was trying to rip me off! Mcspadden’s charged me for a third of what the other place was charging me. I’ve been there before and I know that they are one of the best and most honest auto repair shops in Austin. One time I had my car checked because I thought something was wrong with it. When I picked my car up and was ready to pay for the inspection, they said I didn’t have to pay because they didn’t find anything wrong with it. That’s why my whole family goes there. The people that work there are very nice and you’d never feel like they’re trying to scam you. I highly recommend this place!

The mechanics here really know what they are doing. Ive been to many states and have never had such great service at an autoshop. They effectively found out and fixed our cars problem, and we were not overcharged. We definitely would recommend this autoshop.

I took my Lexus here to be aligned after a deer broadsided me on the front driver side. I also needed an inspection at the same time. They informed me that they would check my tires first to ensure I actually needed an alignment. I did need the alignment but they also pointed out I had a flat spot on one of my tires which was why I felt a little wobble while driving. Also, my left headlight shattered while doing the inspection. They didnt upsell me and didnt charge me for the inspection. They gave me an estimate of what I would need to have done and even checked junkyards for a headlight. I can say with the upmost confidence that if you take your car here, you will be treated well and fairly. FIVE STARS!!

This is a review replacing a rather critical 2-star review I did about a week ago. I had been frustrated by what I believed to be a failure of a component installed at McSpaddens, which was outside the warranty window by time but not by mileage. This is a component which should go 100k miles or more, and an untimely failure seemed to indicate either shoddy part quality or installer craftsmanship.I reached out to Ray by email after reading other critical reviews where he invited the reviewer to contact him by email, wanting him to know my story and see if there was anything he could do. He took the time to respond to my email with detail similar to my inquiry, something that I honestly didnt think he would do (most wouldnt.) He was adamant that they had installed high quality components, which I responded I would verify when I did the work a second time to correct the problem. . . . .. . . . . only the problem wasnt what I thought it was. Yes, there was coolant in the area immediately adjacent to the water pump, and oil in the area around the camshaft and crankshaft seals. But when the covers came off, there was no coolant OR oil anywhere near the water pump or oil seals. The components installed were EXACTLY the OEM replacements I had ordered to re-do the work I feared was done wrong.What wound up being the case when I applied pressure using a cooling system pressure test set, is the radiator was leaking on the front side where you couldnt see it without really looking carefully, and the coolant that I thought had come from a prematurely failed/leaking water pump was probably spilled by somebody trying to top off the leaking cooling system. I unfairly assumed that the problem was with parts or labor provided by McSpaddens, but Raymond graciously awaited my findings and was glad to hear that the parts installed were as stated and that the failure wasnt as originally assumed.Karma being what it is, I felt compelled to replace my earlier critical review with an updated supportive one. I dont think most people would tell their story unless it made them look like a victim and the business owner look like the villain, but Ive been on both sides of that issue. I dont know if McSpaddens ALWAYS do good work and use good parts, but at least in the case of this repair on this vehicle, they did the right thing. Ill continue to recommend McSpaddens to family and friends, and hope they continue to strive to providing quality, value, and integrity.

I brought my truck in for a state inspection. Mark, at the desk was very helpful. It didnt take long for the technician to get my truck in and out.

Bought a car, these guys were all over the carfax report, but only entries were vehicle serviced. Cryptic, and shady. Went to request vehicle service records with my title in hand and my ID. Was refused access due to privacy concerns. Now Im having to sue for the records to be subpoenaed. Judging by the numerous hidden problems with the car, obviously created by horrifically subpar mechanics, I can see why they dont want them released. But mark my words..Ill get them, guys. Ill get them all. And well see whats really up with McSpadden, and how badly you screwed over the last owner, and indirectly...me.

McSpaddens has taken such great care of our entire fleet of trucks and my personal vehicle on numerous occasions. They have excellent customer service, and get things done quickly without overselling anything unnecessary. I really appreciate that!
