We used Pronto rides for a trip to and from the airport. We needed a car service that provided car seats, which is why we went with Pronto. Overall, the fact that this company markets itself as providing car seat services is shocking considering the quality of the car seats available and disregard for child safety.On our ride to the airport the car seat looked like an old bucket seat from the 80s, I can not imagine this is up to today’s standards. It was 4 in the morning and didn’t really have another option so we went with it. The driver was on time and kind.On our return ride from the airport, we were greeted by another driver and a front-facing carseat (we requested an infant seat in the notes and provided weight / age of our baby). The driver fumbled around and tried to turn the seat around — he seemed agitated just that we had asked. He told us the seat was secured, but when we tested the seat it moved about 6 inches in either direction. It was completely not secure. He eventually fixed it and we tried to put our baby in. The straps were super loose and we tightened them as much as we could. At this point the straps were so loose you could lift the whole harness over the baby’s head. When we asked him if it tightened more he aggressively replied “Do you want to choke your child?! How much tighter do you want it?!”. We immediately took our baby out and left and had to spend another several hours trying to figure out a safe way to get home.We are beyond disappointed and frustrated by the experience. First, by the age and quality of the child seats . Second, by the complete disregard for our child’s safety.

Booking online was very easy. The driver texted a few hours before the scheduled time to connect with us and confirm the time. The van we ordered was very clean and the driver was courteous. We let them know in advance that we needed to use our own car seat (we had to bring it to our destination) and it was no problem. We will use pronto rides again!

Our driver Ash was very courteous and prompt, even arriving early because he saw that our flight landed about half an hour ahead of schedule. Would definitely use again, especially when traveling with littles who need car seats!

I had to take an early morning flight with a pick up time at 3:30 AM.They were slightly late but kept me completely informed about when they are going to arrive, picking a call and responding during early morning hours is somethings that impressed me. I ordered a ride from Pronto ahead of my early morning flight three days hence. They texted me that NEXT morning saying they were there for my ride. I slept through the message, only to see it in the morning. Not trusting their reliability, I cancelled the ride and requested a refund. They agreed to refund me, but it was NEVER refunded!!!! I called multiple times to get a refund only to get lip service with a it will be in your account today, well, Its been a month and they still have not refunded my money. Now, I have to contact my attorney to send a letter of intent to sue...Its the principle, not the money thats the issue. UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!

Im still in awe of how they saved my bacon.I, being dumb, booked a return flight from Austin at 7:20am on a Sunday morning, boarding at 6:50. I hadnt rented a car and didnt have anyone to drive me to the airport from Lakefreakingway.The list of ways it could go wrong was large. I was in town for a guys trip where everyone was turning 40 but acting 20. Like I said, no rental, no Ubers, no hope. Prior to arriving, I had found the website for Pronto Rides and booked them to come get me at 5:45am, not 100% convinced they were a legitimate business.Fast forward through a bunch of questionable decisions by middle-aged dudes, and I found myself sitting outside a quiet house at 5am on a Sunday morning, amazed I had woken up on time.At around 5:30 it dawned on me to double-check that 1) Pronto Rides is legit and 2) they were on their way to get me. I called the number on the website and asked to confirm a car was on the way. They asked my name, checked, and the voice on the other end said, That reservation is for tomorrow.Nooooo way, buddy, thats not possible. Well, I checked the confirmation email and sure enough, I had booked it for Monday morning because, as I said earlier, Im dumb.So now Im 40 minutes from the airport; my flight boards in a little over an hour, and I have no ride. Im in trouble. Panicked, I asked the guy on the phone if theres anything he can do. He told me hed have to check to see if he had anyone available and call me back. He did so shortly after and told me my driver would be there in 30 minutes. I still didnt think there was any way I would make it on time, but I didnt have any other choices. I had check other flights and the only one available didnt leave until 5pm and cost $600. I needed a miracle.Well, my miracle arrived 30 minutes later driving a black Toyota. He turned the car around on the sleepy residential street and asked what time my flight left. 7:20, I responded in despair. Youll make it, he said calmly before flooring it.I cant properly articulate what happened next. Ive personally never experienced anything like it. Lets just say he was committed to getting me to the airport on time. At the time, I was equal parts terrified and grateful. Now its nothing but gratitude.Like I said, Im in awe. Not only did they show up, they went above and beyond, covering for and correcting my mistake. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Pronto Rides.

We needed a car seat for our little one to get back to the airport! The operator was helpful and fun to talk to, driver ran into a traffic stop near our hotel was was communicative that he was going to be a couple of minutes behind. The van and the car seat were clean, drive was smooth and we were very pleased!

The manager set a price. Called eight hours prior to the trip (after we already confirmed) added an extra $50 on the trip. We declined, he said “pleasure not doing business with you all”! Very, and I mean very shady business!!! Just book the Uber or Lyft! Don’t waist your time...

Great experience coming from airport. Was about $30, or 35% more than Uber which I would expect for having car seat. Car was clean And seat was good.However, we took downtown for dinner with friends, about 1/3 the mileage for airport and they charged same price. Guy said it was flat $20 extra for car seat one way which doesn’t really make sense. The car seat they had couldn’t have been more than $100 to buy new and was on lower end of safety rating. Would recommend for airport but nothing else

The driver was very friendly and nice and apologized for the wait, but I must say this wasnt as pronto as I suggested. My flight arrived early and I called to alert them but I didnt get a clear answer of when we would get picked up. I was just told youll get a call from the driver. It was hard to plan or know if I had enough time to get food, so we waited outside, for 30 minutes. This would have been awesome with a bit more clear communication on what to expect.

I highly recommend them I was able to book online and get a quote before I booked which was totally awesome! Fees were very reasonable! My flight arrived early but in the mix of all My phone had stopped working so I had no way to call to confirm they were there! But I was able to use a phone and called and Ali was amazing very understanding he said driver Michael was there and I informed him my phone wasn’t working, I was using someone’s phone so he stayed on phone with me asked not to hang up while he called the driver he gave me cab number and before I even hung up I seen my driver which he helped me get my bags in car while I got my girls in great ride very friendly and on time will definitely use them again no doubt!

These guys were amazing, they got there early but were happy to wait which meant we could go exactly when we were ready.They took us all the way from Dallas to Austin in perfect comfort and never complained of we needed to stop or anything.Most obliging driver ever!Thank you guys!

I HIGHLY recommend using Pronto. I have traveled extensively and don’t like leaving my car at the airport. They are timely and courteous. You don’t share with other destinations. They’re nice vehicles so your ride is very smooth. I can schedule ahead of time. And you get clear text messages for status and pick ups. Just use them. It really is the best option out of all I’ve tried.

The online form was easy to do, confirmation was quick. My ride was early. Got to the airport with a minimum of hassles and with prepay didnt have to worry about digging though my stuff to pay.

Driver name Sean picked my 70 year old mom for a short drive from cedar park to avery ranch. Which somehow he managed to take her via 183 south. She is not from Texas and asked him several times why he is driving that route. The ride took from 1.28 to 2.04pm yesterday. He charged her $46 cash for the ride with no receipt. I called to complain and the dispatcher and the driver told me that it was my mom fault. Despite her having a printed address. They managed to tell me that I am wrong to complain because the client is always right. Which made no sense to me. Long story short, 46 dollar for a 7.7 miles ride. No receipt. Client fault?

Have used their service third time. Each time I found the service exactly as they claim it to be which is safe, courteous, comfortable and nice clean late model car and excellent communication. They keep you informed via text messaging of the status of your pickup and above all arrive on time. An excellent value for the fare charged. A pleasant experience relative to other cab companies used. This is all what I require of a taxi service. I shall always use their service, and most definitely recommend them. We had the best experience with this company. They had excellent communication with us and were very prompt. We scheduled a pickup the night before via their website and the following morning our driver was waiting for us at the main gate of McKinney state park to take us out to Hamilton pool preserve. Our driver Ali was the best. He was very knowledgeable on local information and the best BBQ around the area. I would highly recommend if you can get him please do so! We had six people traveling and they have the vehicles to accommodate that amount with plenty of space for your luggage/groceries.

I waited 30 minutes AFTER pick up time. To top it off I was charged $40 instead of the $35. I will never use Pronto again. 7.5 miles to destination, with no traffic was $40. Outrageous.Update:Thank you for responding Pronto.The Bergstrom Airport on Google maps is exactly across the street from the actual airport. How does that add $5 dollars?Also, the driver watched me bring each bag and the baby with stroller over to his car one at a time. And did the same when he dropped me at my house.The car was a Crown Victoria cira late 90s, it was in bad condition. Both the back seat locks were broken off. It was a plastic car seat. Not the luxury vehicles advertised on the website.

My flight arrived earlier than scheduled, and when I turned on my phone had a text from their driver that he was waiting to pick me up. Our driver (Moe) was courteous & professional. Have used them few time now, specially for early morning pick up and have found them to be very dependable.

Plan early rather than late if you are going to use this ride service!! We were given a fifteen minute window of when the driver would arrive, and they arrived about 7 minutes after the window. We were headed to the airport, and so we planned to arrive earlier than necessary, but those 7 minutes would have been anxiety producing if we had not planned ahead. When the driver arrived, there was a car seat in one of the three available seats, and there was limited room for our luggage (two small carry on suitcases) to fit in the trunk. All in all, this wasnt any more or less reliable than a ride share app like Uber or Lyft.

I used Pronto Rides for my recent trip to Austin,TX. Booked my ride on their website, was surprised to get instant quotes which were much reasonable then other services. Eric, my driver was waiting for me when my flight arrived early. My ride was very smooth & pleasant. For my return trip, requested pick up time was 5AM and the driver even showed up 10 minutes early. The driver accommodated my request for a couple of stops on the way and didn’t even charge any extra. They just charged what was agreed initially. Was a great experience using them and will highly recommend them.

I have heard many complaints from local taxi companies, mostly that they dont show up on time or show up at all. We booked with Pronto Rides online (pain free) and chose to pay upon arrival. I received a text 20 minutes prior to requested time that the driver was outside my apartment and waiting on us. Our driver was super nice and helpful. Fares were really inexpensive. Couldnt have had a better experience. I will be using them in the future and recommending them.

I am writing this review as I walk in the rain to work because my taxi never showed up. I have called nine times and now all of the sudden they dont answer their phone and it goes to voicemail. Do not use the service if youre trying to get somewhere important, do not use the service if you want them to show up and actually drive you where you need to go.

If I could write my opinion without any star I will. I had called them to make a reservation, and they said they will be in my location in 20 to 25 minutes. I waited for 40 minutes and I called them again, they said let us two minutes and will call you back but they did not, when I call them back they said the driver will call me soon and he is on his way, but he STILL on HIS WAY UNTIL NOW and they have not called me

Made a reservation to be picked up from airport. Driver never came. Waited on hold with customer service who couldn’t reach the driver. Booking a car service with car seats that never arrives is beyond a terrible experience.

I wouldnt a hose before I use this cab company . I call for a cab an hour before I needed then. Five min before my cab apt, I received a call letting me know they couldnt mKe my apt. Just not cool, and now Im missing my apt.

In short, my experience and conversation with the dispatcher suggests to me that this company is not reliable to book for an early-morning trip to the airport, if timing matters: I called the day before to book an early-morning taxi to the airport. The driver came late. While I was waiting for the driver (and wondering if he would come) I called the dispatcher, who seemed surprised that I expected the driver to come on time. The driver explained that, although I had called the day before, he was only told to come to pick me up so briefly before that it wouldnt have been possible to come on time.Edit: after posting this, I noticed that several other reviewers said essentially the same thing.

I flew into Austin Airport to visit family for the holidays. I didnt have a car, so I called on Pronto many times to run my errands during my two week visit. I wish I could have taken his service with me when I left because I sometimes need a taxi at home. My sister there in Austin utilizes taxi services sometimes and when she went with me on a couple of errands, she agreed that compared to the other services shes used that Pronto Rides is the best.... I called at 1 to schedule a pick up at 220. Its 239, and Im still waiting. I called, and the driver said he just got the call at 230. Nope. Never again.

Ordered taxi, said it would arrive in 20 mins. After an hour, I called to see what was going on and dispatch said the drivers car had problems and could send someone else that would arrive in 30 mins. Horrible customer service. I called another taxi company. I think Im over visiting major cities that do not allow Uber.
