My condensate line for my AC was clogged. I found Service Wizard to be highly rated on Yelp. I entered my service request online through their website and someone called me soon after to confirm the appointment. The Service Wizard staff is very professional, responsive and courteous. Service Wizard recognizes COVID safety procedures. On the day of the service, Emilio from Service Wizard arrived and was very courteous and respectful. He wore a face mask the entire time he was at my home. I appreciate not having to ask him to wear one. Within an hour Emilio had cleared the clog in the condensate line and was very thorough to make sure it was actually unclogged before he left. The price for the service was very reasonable. I would definitely use Service Wizard again.

I had a compressor motor in one of ACs replaced yesterday by David, a well knowledgeable technician. I am editing this review from yesterday after the owner Charles was kind enough to call me immediately and address my concerns. My complaint was the cost and not the quality of the work. I thought I was charged at least couple of hundred dollars more given the cost of the motor and a capacitor that were replaced were only about $160-$170. In any case, please call around to get a quotation from at least 2 or 3 companies before you commit to one. Next time I would pay the $70 or $80 diagnostic fee to a reputed company, but use that diagnosis and call around to see who gives the best price for the material and labor. Since the diagnosis was right and the problems fixed, I would call Service Wizard again for at least a diagnostic visit.

We built our home in 2000 and installed the Carrier puron system. Our upstairs system worked well in parts of the house but not in all the bedrooms. We received 3 bids to replace the system and many contractors wanted to drop another system in place. One company bid an astronomical price. Erik from Service Wizard looked at the plenum and ductwork and determined they were undersized. He came up with a plan that would use some existing ductwork and add new supply and returns to the bedrooms. The price was very fair. When the Trane unit came in, they scheduled the installation and in one day doubled our ductwork in the attic and installed the system. We were so impressed with the installation and operation of the system. This is an honest company with years of experience in hvac. We are so happy we found them and will use them for all of our hvac needs. Thank you.

I have used Service Wizard for the seasonal maintenance for my HVAC system in the past and they were great. When it came time to replace my system, I called several companies, all have great reviews on Google and Yelp, for a quote. One company quoted me a price for the 2nd best Trane model that was 33% higher than another company that quoted me for the top Trane model. Yikes! They tried to tell me the difference in price was due to their superior service and warranty.Service Wizard is owned by a family who has been providing service in Austin for decades. They have great reviews online and, I have received great feedback from friends and family who have used the Osgoods’ for decades. They do not advertise as much as some other companies which may be why the number of reviewers is not as high. But, if that keeps them providing great quality products and service, at a great price, that is personalized to my needs, I’m thankful for it.Service Wizard listened to my needs in a new HVAC system and provided a proposal that was unique: an energy efficient and eco friendly design with limited dependency on propane. Service Wizard followed up another companies assessment. I had Service Wizard give an estimate for a new HVAC unit. The sales team(Eric) provided a quote for a new unit and repair of current unit. After conversation and Eric hearing the unit run he was skeptical of the original diagnosis from the other company, so we had a Service Wizard technician come check the unit, he found the unit to be operating within design specs and recommended we keep the current unit until it goes bad. Mind you we were set to spend over $7000 on the new HVAC unit. These guys are a rare find, they had a sale on the table but did not let that influence the information they provided regarding my current HVAC system. I will without a doubt be using Service Wizard for all of my future HVAC needs. I recommend anyone else to do the same. Thank you guys very much for your honesty!!

We had to have a new AC unit put in to replace the 23 year old system which gave it up. The AC technicians who showed up were extremely polite, answered all questions and let me know exactly what they were doing. The arrived at 8:30AM to replace the existing upstairs air conditioning system and by 3PM had everything packed up and ready to go! The outside condenser got an all new electrical hookup, and the upstairs coil got a complete do over of the AC cabinet with a brand new AC thermostat. Everything worked on the first try and started cooling immediately. Since I do alot of my own electrical and home improvement I know what a great job looks like and they did it.In addition, our second downstairs unit they took time to do a quick look at and pointed out to me what needs to be done to it, and while they were installing the new condenser outside next to the other condenser made sure that all lines were well insulated and protected.A great company who answer their phones directly - no VOICE MENU - and got people on the job ASAP.Once again, thanks for a great job.

We have been dealing with Service Wizard for at least 5 years. In May we had to replace our 18 year old Trane heat pump system. Unfortunately, the new system gave us problems from the start. Service Wizard came out quickly every time it went out (5times). Finally, Mr. Osgood himself came out and spent several hours going over the system inch by inch when the pressure kept remaining too low. He finally found a disconnected wire somewhere in the outside system, reconnected it, and pressures came up. We now have hope that the system is fixed! However, we can be sure that if something else goes wrong, theyll be out right away and persevere until they figure out what it is, or theyll replace the whole system if necessary. Service Wizard did a great job replacing my evaporator coil. I received a recommendation from a neighbor, who also had their coil replaced. I requested estimates from competitors, but Service Wizard beat their estimates and installed a premium Trane coil.Once I chose Service Wizard, they came the next morning to install it. They arrived early. but waited outside until the scheduled time. They covered the stairs and carpet with tarps, so they wouldnt track in any dirt, and they cleaned up everything when they finished.I highly recommend Service Wizard.

Called the morning our heater stopper working. They had a technician (Terry) available and at my house that same morning. He was upfront about the 2 possible parts and their cost. He was able to verify which part was bad and replace it later that same day. The price was fair and the service was amazing. I also have the maintenance program through them 2 times a year. I love this business! I want a Service Wizard tshirt! My AC unit was 13 years old and giving me trouble. I started out at another service company and was not happy with the estimate for a new unit with this “other” company. I knew my old AC would hold out for a while, so I shopped around. I met with Erik Bell, from Service Wizard, who gave me an estimate on a Trane (a good solid unit, variable speed, and affordable), and I did not feel pressured, just well-informed on MANY options. I went ahead and got the new unit from Service Wizard and was REALLY impressed with the time and care that the two technicians put into the installation. They even repositioned where my AC filter would go, so that the unit would work more efficiently (which was a little extra work for them). They cleaned up a lot of the intake area and main duct, underneath the condenser and did a REALLY nice job. It looks super clean now! My house is old (1967), and they really put in some extra sweat to make sure this unit will function at its best. They made this experience much less stressful than it would have been with that “other” company. They also WORE masks and practiced social distancing and made me feel very safe during the installation time. They also gave me a lot of quick tips and guidance on the new unit (how to do this and that) until I can dive into the lengthy owner’s manual. Yes, I recommend this company!!! There is just something about them (their techs, the people that answer the phone, the “bigwig” that calls you back the same day if you have a question or concern). They provide excellent service and are SO knowledgeable and professional. 👍🏼

I called Service Wizard to get a second opinion on an issue I was having with one of my AC units after another repair company came out and told me the problem was going to require a $1300 piece of equipment to fix.Kevin from Service Wizard came out to my house and fixed the problem for a third of the cost. He was right one time, friendly, and professional. He took the time to explain and show me exactly what the issue was and what exactly he was doing. He also showed me that guy from the other company didnt do a proper inspection and that his solution wouldnt have actually solved the issue I was having.A week later and Im not having any issues with my AC. I will be calling Service Wizard in the future for any other repairs and I highly recommend them.

My old freon using air conditioner was going out. I got 4 bids for a replacement. Service Wizards was one of the two that went into my attic to check everything. Others did not even mention this. They were the only one that could redo just what was inefficient up there and NOT redo ALL of the duct work like the other company wanted to do at triple the price. Also I was able to get TRANE which was the most highly recommended air conditioner as rated by Consumer Reports. The workmen were very professional and did a great job.
