Precision Heating & Air was a fabulous company to call in for help. They:a) juggled around their technician schedule on a weekend to move up my appointment when my AC was no longer keeping tempb) showed up slightly early to the appointmentc) explained everything in detail, replacing a blown capacitor and topping off my coolantd) left me with an AC that could hold temp and had the appropriate temp dropThe technician was more than happy to explain the technicalities too rather than brushing me off. Also, the technician legitimately enjoyed my toddler coming in showing him random things which was really sweet.
Update: The sales rep was able to get an appointment for first thing this morning and made the arrangements well after office hours last night. So, that effort is appreciated. Also, the install took about two hours this morning, and the team has already left. No issues from that either. In short, the issue was fully resolved within 24 hours. In addition, the rep felt sincere by his tone and efforts to correct the mistake, and due to those efforts, I believe the experience overall has been a positive one.Original Issue: They were supposed to replace my AC this morning, but no one ever showed or called to update me.
I had an issue with my AC system not blowing cold air. I had tried just about everything suggested to troubleshoot the issue, including checking the condensation drain. The tech came to service it and turns out it was the capacitor that runs the outdoor compressor, which was not turning on. He quoted $430 to replace it. He didnt give me much time to think and immediately wanted an answer to proceed. Naturally I thought this part was expensive and required replacement. So I asked him about the warranty and decided to proceed. It literally took him 2 minutes to replace.By the way, I asked him to check the freon charge levels and he said that the readings would not be right if he checked in on a rainy day. Which was BS, but I was trying to be nice and let it go.Later, after further review, I found the part to be only $20(even less for businesses like this that buy in bulk). Even with an up-charge of 100% with labor, should only cost $100 or a max of $200(to be generous) for a 5 minute job. Imagine if the parts were more expensive and labor was more complex. For companies that claim to be honest and fair to customers, this is very disappointing to say the least. He didn’t even spend the time to properly screw in the cover for the capacitor. Nor did he check the charge for the freon in the system and brushed my request away with a false excuse. I am very disappointed in services like this taking advantage of customers. Do your due diligence and know the things that could go wrong before bringing these folks into your home. $430 for a $20 part and 15 minutes of total time at my house! At least he could have taken the time to check out the entire system and see if everything else is in order. The reason he didnt want to is so that they could charge for another visit. Live and learn. Beware of all these services. They prey on homeowners that are not aware.
Our neighbor’s AC repairman was working next door and he saw me and mentioned to me that my AC was very noisy on start up and that I should probably get in touch with our AC company and report it. He noticed it was installed in 2018 and thought if there was an issue it would still be under warranty. I called for service and was given the date and chose a morning appointment time which meant sometime between 8-12. She said the repairman would contact us between 8-12 and that it would be 45 minutes from the time of the phone call until he arrived. When it got to be 11:30 and I had not heard from anyone I called the company. She checked the schedule and said we were the next appointment. At 1:30 I had still not received a phone call so I again called the company. She checked the schedule and said “Oh it looks like he skipped you for some reason, I’ll call him to contact you next. He did finally call about 2:15 and showed up at 3:00. I walked him over to the AC and told him what the other AC guy had told me. He checked a couple of things and said nothing was wrong, the noise on start up was not too loud and everything looked fine. That was it and he was gone within 5 minutes. It cost $99.00 to have him come to the house after waiting all day, only to have him tell me everything was ok. He said he would check in with us over the weekend to make sure it was working fine, it’s Tuesday and I never heard from him.
It was hot and a weekend when our air conditioner started blowing hot air. I called a number of places and only Precision Heating & Air was able to come out on a Sunday. The serviceman was excellent and quickly fixed the problem. I will use Precision Air again.
Today, on a holiday, we arrived home from out of town to find our air conditioner not working and a whole lot of water below it. I called Precision Heating and Air and Ryan came out to our house within 20 minutes! 20 minutes!!! We were so surprised that we could find any help today. We are beyond thrilled with Ryan. Thank you!
UpdatedJames followed up with my review. He emailed me the invoice and explained the breakdown of charges. Thanks!=====================Precision Heating & Air did a maintenance service on my AC unit in Jul 2021. The technician replaced my dual run capacitor, left the old unit with me, and kindly waived HVAC service charges. Its still quite expensive hence reducing one star.
They only do 4 hour scheduling blocks so I was around form 8-12 waiting for them to arrive. When they did not arrive by 1pm then I attempted to call.I was stuck on hold for 30 minutes so I requested a callback. It was not until now, almost 5, that they called me to tell me that their phone system and internet were down and a tech had called out. This has me a little worried as to the quality of service I will get when they arrive in a couple days. Will update review then if they show.Edit:So two days later we had rescheduled for this morning. The technician showed up 20 minutes early ( to a 4 hour window) and did not even ring the doorbell before leaving. To their credit they did call my cell but it was on silent. Ringing the doorbell would have gotten my attention easily. Now I have to wait for them to call be back because waiting in hold and no one answered.
Ramiro and Kevin were punctual, patient/very thorough with their explanations of the repair to be done. Ramiro offered to speak to my brother on my behalf. After Kevin started the repair job, he knocked(with his unique knock) each time he needed to come back in my home, waited for me to answer before he re-entered.
Woke up at 3AM to no more A/C. By 6AM decided to go ahead and make contact with Precision via website contact request. Had a call back by 10 AM and a technician out this afternoon. Ryan arrived on time and was very professional. A/C blowing cold again. Would highly recommend this Precision Heating & Air..
Had these guys come over and fix something on a plenum that is leaking. Guy comes up he says let’s replace whole box. I say why not just add a strap to support it and reseal it. That’s all that is needed. “Yeah that’s a great idea” I tell him I only have one line that is giving condensation and want to see if it’s leaking also. “Oh the plenum is the reason”. Not going to check? No this is the issue. Ok how much is it to fix? $400+ and for me to let you tell me how to fix it. $99 dollars. ?!?! These guys are a joke. Don’t waste your time with these guys. Paid him to leave basically. Worthless. He didn’t want to go check because he said it’s hot. This is your job. You don’t want to do your damn job get out of this business.
They fixed my issue. My normal guy couldn’t make it so I called them based on good reviews. It took two days and they seemed (it felt?) very expensive relative to what i was expecting based on google searches for what it should have cost. It’s unlikely I would use them again.
AC was acting erratically, not staying on long enough to cool the house. Called Precision Heating and Air late Friday evening on a holiday weekend. They were out early the next morning and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. These guys are great!
Spent just over $8000 for a brand new AC unit and the replacement works with no issues at all.My issue resides in the fact that the techs did not reinstall my current thermostats which disconnected me from managing my houses thermostats and front door lock remotely. This has caused extreme inconvenience and I was assured that it would be taken cared of. 2 and a half weeks later, after expressing my concern to multiple people they came back to the house to reinstall another thermostat it seemed? And proceeded to not connect it to restore remote access even after speaking with the technician 5min prior to entering my house. After a week of no call back from them in regards to the new installation I called again today into the main office. I was greeted by someone who could not help at all and told me someone should be calling me in the next two days. For a company rated so highly on Google, it’s sad that something small like this forced me to have to give a low rating. I deal with many house related installations and this has been one of the worst as far as communication and efficiency is concerned.
We have used Precision for 4-5 years. They have always been honest and have provided amazing service. We never have to worry about their staff trying to sell us something we don’t need. We appreciate this so much!
We wanted to get our system checked out before the start of the long AC season. Kevin came out, on time and was amazingly efficient plus he answered my many question out our unit. He was fountain knowledge. Kevin was extremely kind and courteous. We will use Precision and Kevin again should any issues arise with our unit.
On Thursday (May 27) I came home after a vacation to find that my AC was not functioning properly. I called Precision Heating and Air and spoke with a dispatcher who set an appointment for the following day, Friday (May 28), for a technician to come out to look at my AC.The dispatcher said the technician would come to my residence between the hours of 12pm-6pm.I took the day off from work to be available during that time block. On the day of the appointment at approximately 1:30 pm, I got a call from the dispatcher who told me that the technicians were extremely backed up and that they would be moving my appointment to the next day, Saturday (May 29).The dispatcher then stated that the technician would be at my residence between the hours of 8 am-10 am on Saturday.I was obviously frustrated as I took the whole day off of work to wait around for the technician only to be told that they wouldnt make it to my residence. I asked the dispatcher how sure he was that the technician would be at my residence during that time block and he said the technician would be there. I asked him if he guaranteed the technician would be there and he said YES. My gut told me to cancel the appointment but I gave Precision Heating and Air the benefit of the doubt.I wake up this morning and waited around my house. At approximately 9:56 am, I call Precision Heating and Air to see if the technician is on the way. The dispatcher then tells me that the technician is backed up and that there was another person in front of me and then after that appointment they would come to my residence. I asked what time block this would be and the dispatcher could not give me an answer. Now Im really frustrated, I had an early appointment and now I was being told that I needed to wait around at my house for an unknown amount of time for a technician to come to my house.I ask to speak to a supervisor at which time I get put on hold for a few minutes and told that my contact information would be sent to a supervisor (in the form of an email) to let the supervisor know I would like to speak to them. When I explained my frustrations to the dispatcher I got alot of the standard corporate lingo when dealing with a frustrated customer I understand your mad, I understand your frustration etc etc etc.So I have a few issues with Precision Heating and Air. One is the lack of common courtesy in notifying a customer that their technicians would not make the agreed upon time block for service. NOT EVEN A COURTESY PHONE CALL. I question if anyone is looking at the scheduled appointments when they open up in the morning.I lost a day and a half waiting around for Precision Heating and Air to show up. In addition, there appears to be a significant gap in how the support staff (dispatchers) and technicians communicate. In other words, I question the manner in which these 2 entities are managed as it appears that they are not effectively communicating with each other. So the consumer suffers.Precision Heating and Air needs to take a hard look in how they manage their appointments, how they share information amongst employees and supervisors. If this business is to operate 24/7, then that means that there should be a supervisor on duty to help Precision Heating and Air run efficiently. If I could give Precision Heating and Air zero stars, I would.
Very prompt service. Gave some good suggestions. Would definitely recommend their service
Our AC was leaking serious amounts of water on July 4. The tech, Ryan, arrived within 20 min. He was both efficient in identifying our issue and fixing it promptly. We’ll use Precisión again, especially if Ryan is our tech.
Great techs. Know their stuff. Pleasant and give clear answers to questions. In my 11th year of doing business with them.
Ryan showed up and seemed more like a maintenance plan salesman then anything else. To blow a clogged A/C drain line would cost $350 but if you buy their maintenance plan it only costs 200! Does that make sense... do more work for half the price? The funny thing is I used this company 2 years ago and it was roughly 1/3 of what he priced the service at. Bad Apple or company motto?UPDATE: Based on the response it sounds like company motto. You are not trying to help customers you are trying to force folks onto a maintenance plan for residual revenue.
Precision Heating and Air installed a new AC unit for me less than 2 years ago and its already broken down despite having a maintenance contract. Which fine, things happen but Ive been trying to reach their oncall for 4 hours with no response and their phone support has been unprofessional.
The service tech Sean (sp?) was fantastic, truly. He was patient with my multiple questions which was by phone since I couldn’t be there. He diagnosed several issues one in particular that was a potential fire hazard and fixed them giving me great comfort that my family was safe. I had a follow up question the next day and he responded by text almost immediately, to the business owner, Sean represents your company very well.
Precision’s bid was reasonable. Whereas, other companies wanted to charge extra for removing and building a new attic ladder in order to fit the air handlers in the attic, Precision’s installers took apart the machines. They were also able to come out to do the install right before the winter storm, instead of having us wait until after the winter storm. Very accommodating.
Love this brand. We use them often!Dustinjohnsonexteriors.com
Ill use these guys every time. Professional and honest people to do business with. They took care of me and theyll take care of you. - Dan P.
Jeff serviced my AC. Great guy, knowledgeable and professional. I will be using Precision again.
The technician was efficient, and courteous. He handled my issue and even offered to come back and fix again if the Gas company was not satisfied with the repair. Great experience. I will use you for all my heating and cooling maintenance and repair.
Impressive service. Precision installed a new HVAC system and new attic insulation. High quality, attention to our needs, responsive to our questions, professional and fast communication all the way.Precision goes above and beyond to get the job done. I must mention John Morenos excellency, EJ knowledge and patience and going to extra mile to ensure our comfort as the snow storm came upon Texas in the middle of the job. Eric and crew did an outstanding job. Precision has a fantastic Team. We all are dealing with this pandemic and virtual life (tears), working from home and doing our best to ensure the safety of our kids who are missing life out there with friends. Having heating and cooling helps. Thanks John Moreno and crew for your outstanding service that does not finish when the job ends.
These guys are professionals. They arrive on time and get the job done, even when the attic crawl space is only 36 inches! We have had no problems with our new HVAC system in two years and we appreciate the timely check-ups!
Annual inspection. Able to make an appointment, maintenance person calls when on the way, onsite work performed by polite, knowledgeable repair person. Excellent service.
We have used Precision for many years and are very pleased with their service. They have replaced our HVAC system, as well as the ducting and insulation in our attic. We use their maintenance plan to maintain our HVAC system, and it has been money well spent. We highly recommend them.
I’ve used these guys several times & feel comfortable they will be honest & take care of me & my home.
So far we have had the best experience one could hope for. They have taken care of us Above and beyond!
Amazing! They came out on 4th of July and helped me with a leak! Highly recommend!
They installed a new A/C system a year ago and now system not working control board and inverter need replaced. We are still waiting for them to repair and intake duct the fell out of the ceiling and we call 3 months ago and still not fixed. Very disappointed in this company would not recommend!
Was here within an hour of calling. Professional and quick service
It’s impossible to reach anyone by phone, text, or online chat, even though their website boasts 24/7 service. They didn’t show up when scheduled and didn’t call back when promised. I’m still waiting for them to complete a repair but I have zero information. Really poor service.
On time, originally asked to service and do annual maintenance, but diagnosed it didnt need service, so only charged for maintenance. Great job.
Really responsive, had the part on the truck, got it all done in
Precision Heating & Air has given me impeccable customer service. Jason, my technician, gave me a clear and detailed diagnosis. Unfortunately, it was time to put my 17 year old system to rest but I was so pleased how he took extra time to show me tricks that would keep my new HVAC system working optimally. The Project Manager, Tim was absolutely awesome! He made sure I bought the right system with the most comprehensive coverage. Tim also let me use the portable a.c. unit until my install date; note* this is not something you can teach, this is character. My installation team; Adam, Memo, Jose/Jose and Junior was the cherry on top. Everyone was friendly, helpful and detailed. If you are looking for the right company, search no more!
AC inspection was thorough. Ramiro was very professional and friendly.
Repair man showed up on time, successfully completed the work, and charged a fair price. Was very knowledgeable about the system and explained clearly the problem with the system. Would highly recommend them to others looking for HVAC work
They have taken care of my AC needs for years and when I needed a new unit a few years ago, I chose them to do the installation. They back their work and products and always send professional to do repairs and maintenance. I would highly recommend this company.
Our AC went out on Friday and I scheduled a service call with another company (Radiant - the ones with the funny commercials) for Saturday. The competitor continued to push the service appointment back in the day, telling me as late as 1130pm Saturday night that they were still coming to my house that night. They never showed. I called Precision Heating and Air (the ones with the catchy jungle) at 810am on Sunday to request same day emergency AC service. I received a call from a technician within 20 minutes and he scheduled a service appointment for that afternoon between 12 and 5pm. The tech arrived at 1pm after a 30 min heads up call. The tech was able to quickly diagnose the problem and offered a temporary solution and a follow up plan to complete the repair. The office followed up with me on Monday morning to schedule a follow up call and the tech arrived when scheduled with a 30 min heads up call. He completed the repair and shared info to prevent further problems with our unit. I am very pleased with the service Precision Heating and Air provided and I will be scheduling with them in the future.
Requested service from this business before 8 am on Monday 8/12/20. Its Wednesday at 5:30 and they have not responded to my request. Requested service from Hanks Service at 9 am as backup. They responded within the hour and had me up and running by 1 pm. Bottom line: if you need quick friendly service, call Hanks.Update on 8/13: Filled out the form on your contact page. Name and email were supplied. Only response has been to this review.
I Highly Recommend using Precision Heating and Air. I had a leak back in June and they quickly repaired it for me. I also knew that my 15 year old unit was on its last leg. Sure enough it lasted 2 months and went down. I called Troy at Precision Heating & Air and he was out the next day and he thoroughly inspected my HVAC unit and helped me to determine my needs. He was dead on with that. They were out in a few days to install my new Carrier unit. The installers were Thomas & Jeffrey. They did and awesome job and cleaned up really well when finished. Ask for Troy, hes the expert to help with your A/C and Heating needs. I do know that I can depend on Precision Heating and Air and so should you!
Great experience with Jeff and Precision Air. Needed a quick AC tune up and inspection and they were able to schedule me right away. Jeff called ahead as promised and was certainly an expert in his field. Really appreciate how he took time to explain everything to me. Great value and service. Highly recommend.
I am very happy with the service I received. I needed a new downstairs AC/Heating system and they quoted me a price and stuck with it. The installers were extremely professional and covered all floors and corners so there was no damage when removing the old system or bringing in the new system. They backed up their work by coming out and tweaking some new install issues the same day I made the calls.
Had an entire HVAC system installed in my place a year ago. Its worked great and been very efficient. Just had Wellington and Ramiro do the twice a year maintenance and no problems found. Very professional and good service.
My furnannce needed a blower replacement. I received a bid from these folks for over 1100.00. The parts are less than 350.00. This is clearly price gauging. I declined their bid. I later received a call from Ryans supervisor, offering to replace the entire furnace for over 2800.00. High bids and unnecessary installations are two reasons to be careful with calling these folks.
Had a rental property that needed some emergency work done on a Sunday! Called in to the answering service and within 10 minutes received a call from the On Call technician (Oscar). He was professional, prompt, and got us fixed up quickly! With near 100 degree temps at the time, I was very concerned for our tenants comfort. Oscar is a great representative of Precision! Thank you guys very much!
We hired Precision Heating & Air to fix our A/C system when the old units compressor died in April 2020 (the Texas summer was coming and we had just brought our newborn home from the hospital). The Precision team came out, completed the initial assessment, and provided their estimate for the labor/costs that would be needed to properly fix the system and cool our home. We were told that our old unit was out-dated and over-sized based on industry standards, but our ducts were in good shape so we wouldnt need to replace them. We agreed on an approximate cost of $7000.Fast forward 4 months. During the days, our thermostat usually reads about 5-7 degrees hotter than what we have it set at (and with a newborn, 68-72 degrees is recommended plus we prefer a cool home in general).Three separate times weve had Precision come out to diagnose the issue. The first two times, the technician tried a few small patching and sealing fixes but nothing changed. The third time, a more senior technician concluded that the insulation in our attic was inadequate and that our ducts were thinner than the industry standard. These factors, combined with our smaller unit, are what was causing our hot house. Why were these, in hindsight, obvious issues not pointed out until the third follow-up appointment? Not only was this the first time we were hearing that the ducts were insufficient but we were specifically told that the ductwork was fine during the initial assessment. Even more jarring, Precision installs insulation all the time, but at NO point during the original assessment was the insulation ever discussed. Had we known this would be a big contributing factor, we would have adjusted our budget. At a minimum, we would have asked Precision to add the insulation cost to the estimate so we could make a thorough decision. The fact that the quote we received did not include insulation or duct replacement proves it was never discussed.Precision is now quoting us an additional $2,200 for the insulation work. Sadly, even if we were to pay for the new insulation, we have no assurance that this will actually fix the problem. The senior technician who was last out to our home agreed that Precision dropped the ball here. However, the company’s management was only willing to give us a $500 discount on new insulation, leaving us with a $1,700 bill if we decide to go ahead. Based on my research, Precision’s price even after the discount, is still higher than the average cost for attic insulation in the Austin area. Most importantly though, our trust in Precision is lost and we do not wish to do more business with them.We are not unreasonable people. However, after spending over $7,000 to cool our home, we feel like we have the right to expect a cool home. We trusted their professional opinion and we trusted that they would notify us of any significant factors that might get in the way of a cool home. They failed to do this which is why we wanted to share our experience.
Ryan was professional and informative. He answered all my questions and showed me what my heating problem was.
Very professional and polite service tech.
Super professional, prompt and thorough. Helped me understand what I need to do and the best, most affordable path to get there.
We highly recommend Precision Heating and Air. I have been on a monthly plan with them for many years to service my AC and Heater. Then when I was looking for a new AC, and an answer to how we could evenly heat and cool a two-story home, Precision presented a Carrier Air model. While installing the unit we chose, Precision’s personnel were diligent to get our house in running order. EJ was the manager of the service team members. We can’t say enough good things about him. All in all, so far, we have been very pleased with our Carrier unit. Our energy bills are reduced as well.
Memo and Ernesto did such a great job fixing our air conditioning! They knew exactly what they were doing and were very professional, thorough, and polite. I would highly recommend.
WARNING. Called these guys to service our HVAC system after getting an error code on thermostat. Guy did nothing and the same error code happened twice after he left. I called Lennox directly and fixed it. While he was in my attic he noticed that I needed some duct work (not knowing I paid Precision to replace all duct work), he said it was installed all wrong. It gets better. My hot water heater went out after that -- located in a hard to get to place in the attic where the Precision guy went-- and the plumber informed me that someone had disconnected the AC duct work next to the water heater. Mmm? Do not use Precision. They also wanted to replace an entire system on the other side of the house for $20K. Called another company -- replacement unnecessary.
We had to replace our unit after waiting for a home warranty company disaster. The service has been great and the extra effort to match up the new outdoor unit with the patchwork insides was terrific. A special thanks to EJ who worked for two days on getting everything right for our home. We used Precision for our business first and the service was so good, we turned to them at home with success.
The repair team assessed the situation and found the problem very quickly. They were very professional.
Geoff was very professional. They were on time, speedy and very informative. Weve used Precision in the past and theyve always been great.
I have the preventative maintence program with Precision. Wellington was my service technician. He was on time, professional, friendly, gave me a detailed report on my unit, what he looked at, why etc. He thoroughly answered my questions. I am very satisfied with his work and my experience with Precision. Also, he was masked! Yay!
Trouble shot problem and resolved quickly
I love this Company! They have more than earned 5 stars. A shout out to Ian and Richard for the great job they have done replacing my heating and AC unit today. They were both very professional, helpful and pleasant. They respected my home and time.I would also, like to thank Tim Britt for a great job! He has been very professional and helpful. Just a great team at Precision!
I used Precision Heating several times before, even replacing my system at my old home. This past experience however was pretty bad. It just tells you that no matter if you thing you found THE ac company, still get multiple quotes/service calls. My ac broke down because I shorted it when changing the thermostat. Precision heating told me that I fried the fuse and needed a new control board ($800) or a brand new system. I believed it because I never got screwed by this company before. I asked the technician (Joel) if a new control board will fix the problem. The answer was maybe. Fine. Lets go ahead and get quotes for new system. I got the quotes, but decided to go ahead and get more quotes because of the large expense. The next company coming out fixes the issue by replacing the fuse. Done in 20 minutes as far as AC running goes. Even shows me the picture of the control board which was clean without any burned/shorted parts. The AC has been running no issues ever since.I am still going to get a new system. Just not from precision heating even though their offer is better, actually almost a $1,000 better. When I let the sales person Tim know why I am not, I havent heard a beep back.TL;DR: Precision tried to pull a fast one on me. My confidence has severally diminished in their abilities and I no longer have THE ac company.Interesting side note to management: Joel did not even once touched the breakers, which was a weird one, but what do I know, I dont repair ACs for living.
I have mixed feels about this company. They may have great customer service but it is because they hire unqualified or inexperienced people to do the work. In a nutshell: they sold us and installed an insufficient AC. It took them until after 10pm to get it working. Days later our house wouldnt cool so they had to uninstall the unit and install a more powerful AC. I was pregnant, exhausted, and hot in Texas summer. Most recently they did a complimentary service check and broke our flip switch wires by closing the panel on it. When our AC stopped working they had the audacity to charge us $69 for the service call even after admitting it was their fault. I would have fought it but I am just done with this company and will not do business with them again. Its unfortunate because they tried to make it right but it shouldnt have been that wrong to begin with.
Our air conditioning went out a couple of days ago. It’s 20yrs. Old, and we had the fan replaced 6 months ago, by a different company. After reading reviews on several companies, I decided to try Precision Air and Heat. Shane came out to check the air conditioning unit this afternoon. He is very nice and knowledgeable. My husband and I appreciated his honesty.Shane told us that he could fix the unit, but that it would probably be a temporary fix, because the unit is old. We are now waiting on another associate from Precision to tell us about the price of a new unit. So far, we are very satisfied with Precision. I will write another review after we get quotes.
Technician was quick and professional.
Ramaro and Jeff solved the mystery of failed low voltage control system of the heat pump. Cooling off now... Feeling much better.
Ryan was great! Quick diagnosis, pleasant and professional. Would recommend!
Joel and Jeff were great. Company hires compassionate and hard working people. Quick to fix my clogged AC condensation drain.
Great people and great owner. A little pricey but they are a 24/7 business and the AC repairmen/repairwomen are knowledgable and friendly. Id recommend Precision if you dont mind paying a little extra for the amazing service.
They do not have a published price chart for their repairs. They charged WAY TOO MUCH for a capacitor replacement on my AC. I will think twice before calling them the next time.
Called them on 2/6/20 due to an odor from my furnace. Was told to turn furnace off and open doors for fresh air. Tech arrived in less than an hour. Concern resolved. Great company, great techs, have used them since 2011 when they replaced both AC’s and heaters. Have a maintenance plan with them. Highly recommended.
Do not get anything they recommend. Especially the scrubber that helps fight germs. Its defective and they dont have replacement parts. You have to wait till parts come in they wont replace it with a new one. Hmmm. 4 months later I paid 500. And got a mold test done. It was high in outside mold not the black mold. So i then scheduled with precision to check on the scrubber. They ended up canceling they could not make it. A month and a half later during maintenance they told me the bulb is out. This scrubbet got installed in march 2020. Fyi you can get it for 1000. Instead of 1500. P.s. what hurts the most is i even tip them 20 dollars every time they come. Even if they only stay 10 min for maintenance. I guess its not enough.
We had our HVAC go out with a newborn at home. They came out at 10pm to resolve the issue quickly! A great experience
It finally came time to replace my 16yr old R22 system after a really close lightening strike and a really bad power surge. After all the bids came in I decided to go Precision. Not only because they came in under their competitions bids but, from the start Sam just gave me a feeling that I was going to get great service from Precision. Boy, was I right! The next morning after signing the bid, Adam and Cooper were on the job tearing out my old unit and getting the new one in. They worked tirelessly until 11:30 pm to get the air back on so my family could finally sleep in comfort after a week in the upper 90’s with no air. I didn’t expect that kinda service, they didn’t take breaks, they were neat and tidy, and I knew they had to be getting wore out but that didn’t stop them from getting my air back on.In all, I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Precision and I’m sure you won’t be either. Their honest fair prices, their courteous technicians and their customer commitment is exceptional!
This is definitely a great company! 8/19 The technician was able to make it to my house within hours of my initial call. Shane was extremely helpful and thorough when explaining everything (in terms I was able to understand). He walked me through every part and piece that we had issues with. Once he determined what needed to be repaired, we were on the schedule several days later waiting for parts. 8/22 Unfortunately, the manufacturer/warehouse flubbed the delivery of the part (damaged the part and didnt send... and didnt inform anyone at Precision) so I was completely shocked when learning that my part hadnt arrived and they wouldnt be able to install that day. The office team at Precision called me various times throughout the day to keep me up to speed on the progress of replacing the part. GOOD NEWS: I got a phone call (same day) that they WOULD be able to fix our HVAC after all. Adam and Jorge showed up, hottest time of the day, and got us up and running!!! There were some bumps in the road and the entire Precision team made it right. I would definitely recommend this team to everyone! Great Job!
Ryan arrived promptly, was very courteous, and quickly resolved the problem (water under furnace).
We had a problem with our AC unit. I called Precision late in the evening. Jeff Anderson came out within an hour. He was very professional and friendly. He explained what the problem was, and gave a reasonable upfront quote on what the repair was going to cost. He didnt have the parts in his truck, so he offered to come back the next day to take care of it. I would highly recommend Jeff.
Shane came to do maintenance on my air unit. He explained on the work he done and advise on what was needed. His was so nice, professional and genuine on his service. I hope he will be the one to come do my next maintenance. I feel Precision heating and air do have good staff you can trust.
On our latest visit, our guy (Jordan) called first, showed up at the earliest end of the time slot, and gave us a complete and honest assessment of our issues and how to move forward with necessary repairs in the most economical and most prioritized way.Fact is, we’ve used Precision since we moved into our house 7 years ago. And I refer them out to my Real Estate clients because they’ve always done good work, are honest, and they show up on time.
Joel was great. Got here fast, let me know everything going on, and fixed it quickly. Highly recommended!
As soon as I called, the dispatcher was friendly, helpful, and had assigned my issue to a repairman right away.Jordan was professional, quick, and thorough with all of his explanations on what we needed to address. He helped identify issues with my refrigerant leaking, mold growth, and a frozen over unit. He quickly addressed everything and got me on my way in less than two hours. The prices, although I cant really compare to others, seemed fair for the work and Im happy to have went with Precision!
Ramiro came out for my semi-annual system check and again, Precision come through! He called and gave me an accurate ETA. He was polite, professional and quite efficient. He went above and beyond when evaluating my system and was able to point out several potential problems. His explanation was easy to understand.
Ramiro stopped by the same day we called and fixed our AC within an hour! He was extremely thorough and detailed. Took the time to explain the issues and the repairs needed. Definitely don’t regret switching AC company’s and will be signing up for an annual inspection plan.
Ive used Precision Heating & Air a couple of times and I felt somewhat taken advantage of each time. The first time, the technician tried to tell me I shouldnt sell install my Nest thermostats myself, because it could somehow fry the HVAC system if it wasnt installed and calibrated correctly. He also charged roughly $100 per thermostat. After consulting with friends, family, and another HVAC professional -- all of them said you dont need a technician to install your Nest thermostats and theyre made to be user friendly and easy to install. Couldve watched a quick YouTube video and figured it out.The second time was to simply check the system and provide me with a report to show to a potential buyer; as were looking to sell our condo. The technician came back with a laundry list of repairs totaling almost $5,000 and more or less said replacing the entire system would be a good idea.I had another HVAC technician come out to provide a 2nd opinion. I showed him the report that Precision Heating & Air provided and had this other technician provide the exact same tests and inspection. He came back and only agreed with one of the repairs Precision had suggested and was able to do it for 1/4 of the price.Similarly to some of these other reviews, I feel that while Precision does know how to handle HVAC repairs and do quality work; they tend to push products that are above-standard or simply unnecessary. I believe their technicians are likely on some form of commission structure to where they make a base rate and then are compensated extra for any additional products they sell. Not saying you shouldnt use them, but I would beware of what they offer in terms of repairs and maybe get a second opinion before agreeing to have them do any work.
Precision heating and air was able to get a technician, Ramiro, out quickly in the middle of the night for an AC leak caused by a clogged pipe and faulty drain switch. We had shut our system down thinking we’d have to wait until tomorrow sleeping in a hot house, but Ramiro was able to get the job done promptly. He was very friendly and informative, and even offered to mop a small puddle of water from the garage floor from the leak. We highly recommend Precision and will definitely ask for Ramiro again, if a future issue arises.
I was able to set up an appointment for a spring check-up within a couple of days of calling. Service person was on time, very pleasant, and completed the work carefully and efficiently. He even cleaned out the leaves that had fallen through the unit. I’m very pleased with the quality of work.
Super nice service technicians, competitive pricing oh, and they always stand behind their work. Philip
Our AC quit on a Saturday and we toughed out the weekend to call Precision, who were recommended by a friend. They were able to come out very quickly and while the news wasnt good, the technician (Junior) answered all my questions with patience and kindness. Even though we need a new system, he was able to get what we have back online to buy us a little time to shop around, which is very much appreciated!
Our AC died on a Saturday morning. By Monday when the parts supplier was actually open, only Precision was able to get to our place AND order the parts we needed on that same day. AC was up and running by Tuesday morning. Ryan, our technician, was very personable and patient with getting what we needed and fixing it quickly. He operated like an independent contractor, fully owning all aspects of our repair from start to finish. Thank you guys!
Big thumbs up to Jason at Precision - he was super nice and prompt and communicated everything before the repair. Stayed on top of figuring out our warranty for the part and fixed it asap! Thankyou Jason!
Contacted Precision, they came out to service the AC that afternoon. Did not try to sell us a new unit but assisted us in fixing our unit in the most cost effective way. Great efficient, service! We would definitely use Precision again !!
Great service!
These guys have a difficult job. Having to deal with frustrated customers when their ac goes out cant be easy. Our motor went out, and although AC repairs are never cheap I think their pricing is pretty fair. Jason, our technician, was very professional and stayed later than usual to get the job done. 5 stars will reccomend to other.
Precision Heating & Air is an outstanding company. Professional and friendly at the same time. Romero came out for a heater check and found some things that were needed. He took care of everything and took the trash with him. The air scrubber he installed is cleaning my plenum, and we can feel the difference. He has made my home cleaner and safer with his expertise. Precision Heating & Air is highly recommended to everyone. They certainly have a customer for life with me.
An excellent professional service
So our AC went out... in July, of course. I called Precision and they had someone out within a few hours. The technician was prompt, courteous, and got the job done within a matter of minutes. As luck would have it, he had the parts with him that were needed to get us back up and running quickly. I highly recommend Precision for your HVAC needs. And I will definitely use Precision again!
