Booked a Malibu through AAA and received a free upgrade to a luxury sedan! The week I was out there, they had to take the cars and reservations from another Hertz location that closed unexpectedly due to COVID. With that issue, picking up and dropping off the car was actually very quick at this location. Ringing me up, going over everything, and getting in the car took about 10 minutes altogether.
My name is Lennon and The rental is in my wifes name Cynthia . We were treated very badly at your 998 S Havana St, Aurora, CO 80012 location. We are renting a Range Rover, It was not clean, the R had fallen off of Rover and it rides like an old truck. We went back to the Havana location to see if it was something else that we could change into. They had a Cadillac SUV. So I told the agent that we would take that. He said that we would have to wait 30 mins so that they can clean it up.Your District Manager Jeff walks in and asks me why we want to change? I told him that we were very unhappy with it. He told me if it wasnt going to cause me to lose my life that he wasnt switching it. He said that I should be happy to be driving a luxury truck like that. What did he mean because Im African American I should be happy to ride in a Range Rover. He told me that if I didnt want it, I could put his keys in the drop box. I asked him if the Corporate office knew that he was treating their customers like this and running away their money. He said that he doesnt need our business. I really feel like I have been discriminated against.Reading the other complaints I see that you guys are not doing anything about the way that he is treating people because it still happens..I am going to consult with my attorney about the way we were treated. Thanks
So, I normally use this Hertz location when renting my vehicle as they are a AAA partner and things are normally ok. Not this go round. A simple question about an additional reservation hold could not be answered by the same rep who checked me out. Instead of calling billing to inquire about any issues, I wanted to speak with the manger who should be able to provide this information. Instead of listening he was quick to recite about how I turned in the car a day late (which it was a few hours late.) Also your closed on Sundays and it is checked in by using the drop box. I did not need to be told when I turned it in. I simply asked about where the extra $113 charge on my card came from. Way to go!!Conclusion. I will just will just rent a car elsewhere.
I see other comments about the manager here. If that is who we saw at the hertz, he was indeed very rude and even aggressive. He was yelling at us after just asking where to return the keys back from the rental. His tone and aggression was actually quite scary and I felt very unsafe. I will not be going back to a hertz dealer and I would definitely advise others to avoid this location.
I am in the military and am back home to visit family. I have rented here before no problem with a debit card on the same day. I wanted to use them again because of the service I received the first time. I came in same day rental like before and the lady told me I could only use a credit card for same day rentals. Not only was this not true the last time I came. There’s nothing on the websites or anything that says you have to use credit cards. She told me that they stopped enforcing the policy during COVID. But I came way before COVID was even a thing. Now I have to scramble and find somewhere else for today and moving forward. Debit or credit. Money is money. I don’t see why it would make a difference.
The representative at location was very patient and answered all my questions. He even checked to see what brand of car seat they offered when I ask with no hesitation. Im pray I get the same service tomorrow when I pick up car!
I requested a car without Texas plates and the branch manager flipped out on me. He got in my face and yelled at me, then told me to leave or he’d call the police on me. Literally over a request. Apparently he’s from Texas and it hurt his feelings. I will never ever use Hertz again. Too violent and threatening for my taste.
Upon arrival, we noticed the front was covered with snow. My sister was circling the area trying to figure out how to get to the front door. I witnessed someone of their establishment, watching her go back and forth with no regard for assisting her. He had a shovel in his hand but didn’t seem to care about the front. So I decided to back up thru the snow to clear the front so my sister to get in. As soon as I got up to the front, I asked why the front hasn’t been cleared and is a safety issue. This worker, (later he identified himself as the district manager, Frank Wilson), responded in a condescending manner and told me this was one of the biggest snow storms in Colorado and they called in for snow plows. Looking around, I see the bank next door has cleared their area and multiple areas around us did the same. This is a small parking lot. I understand the snow storm but he was very unprofessional and laughed at me. I asked him his name and only the second time he identified himself. He was so offended at me criticizing his behavior towards me, he decided to just give my sister back her credit card and send her out and threaten to call the police at me. I guess they can insult customers and hide behind their company policies when it’s convenient. Unbelievable! Spoke to Alex and he was more reasonable and explained to me everyone in Denver is busting their backs trying to clear the snow. I get that. However, doesn’t mean you can treat people like idiots. I spent this morning doing that but didn’t expect to be treated this way at Hertz, especially as a customer. This guy shouldn’t be managing anything except a mop. We rented here before and no issues until today. My sister needed a vehicle to take her daughter to chemo. They’re visiting from Japan and never expected this. Not surprised at the reviews. Took our business to Enterprise. But don’t worry folks, I will call corporate and do my best to make sure this poor excuse of a district manager, FRANK WILSON, is either put in his place or better yet, FIRED!
Call their number. Goes to call center. Only way to contact store is to literally walk in.
Very friendly and helpful. Will go to them again if we need a rental again.
The previous reviews are spot on. The manager here is absolutely horrible. Did not choose to rent a car here, was hit by a state farm insured driver. Told me the billing issue between them and state farm wasnt his problem, told me I could leave and call state farm myself. Never apologized for any inconvenience, never tried to make the situation right. And walked right in front of his own employee to talk to me before the employee could even attempt to help me.I couldnt stand dealing with him for a few minute, I dont understand how his employees can put up with being walked on by him.Went from choosing hertz at a higher cost over the competition to never considering them again. I travel a lot and hertz will lose a lot of business over this.Hertz needs to fire the management here, they are losing many customers by the looks of these reviews. So many reviews mention the manager, dating back years.......how he has a job I dont know.....
The representative was very rude, on the phone and in person. My insurance arranged for them to drop off the car Tuesday morning after the holiday. When I called to confirm he informed me due to COVID they arent allowed drop off service. I confirmed they seen my reservation and it says delivery and he confirmed. So of course I asked why wouldnt you inform the insurance or myself that your companys delivery service wasnt a option? He stated they were in another state, but again Im in your state and it takes a simple call for me to make other arrangements. I feel like they could careless about ones time. I received the car and still the same attitude. The sad part this gentleman has been here for a while and he still gives you the same energy. I know I have rated them and him once before.
Phenomenal staff! I definitely recommend renting here. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We prepaid for the rental, they had it ready and we spent maybe 5 minutes going over everything and then we were on our way. Turning it in was super easy too. Thank you Hertz staff for a wonderful experience!
They had my car ready and they were responsible priced.
Dont rent from here, its a scam! They rent us a car with a EXPIRED tag, and the car was towed because of that. ALL of our personal stuffs were left in the car and they dont care about it.
Just called the Aurora office and they said they were to busy to help me and I need to make a reservation online. Terrible customer service!!
Best service Ive had from a rental company. They were a bit short staffed when I pick up my rental but they got me out on time(unlike enterprise). I had the extend my rental twice and they were very understanding, polite and respectful. Also checked me out easily even with using a different card than the one I used to reserve the rental. I will forever go to them from now on!!!
This place was fast, to the point and got us in and out. I will use Hertz and drop the green guys. Very happy.
Reservation confirmed for 1pm. Closed at noon. Stranded
I had a last minute car breakdown and the manager at this location pulled some strings to get me a car. A life saver !
Everyone is very uninformative... Double check your quoted price
DONT RENT HERE!! RUN!! They were overloaded with work and hung up on me (Jeff Newton manager). They also led me to believe I was to get my deposit back instantly at drop off and 3 days later Im still waiting for release of my deposit. Go somewhere else if you can. Also the girl Cynthia seemed to be trained well by Jeff because she hung up on me too. Very unprofessional place and Ill never use them again.
I thought it was going to be a nice, easy rental at my local Hertz when I got rear-ended and insurance set things up, but I should have taken the overly irate guy inside upon my arrival as a boon of warning. This was NOT going to be a nice, easy rental covered by insurance. Instead, they were going to give me a car for my rental (I normally drive a truck for work, but they claimed that they had none in stock and my insurance hadnt approved me for it.), and with this car, it would have one key hole in the drivers door and no key fob. Perfect for handyman work, let me tell you. Anyway, just a quick $30ish charge for gas and a $50 refundable deposit, and I was good to go!The rental otherwise seemed smooth, until the return date, that is. See, I learned it was time to return the rental when they called me telling me it was two days late on return and that I owed for the two days. But thats insurance dropping the ball, right? Hertz has gotta be the good guy here, eh? Well, they mentioned needing my declaration page, which I acknowledged and mentioned to folks but things happened and it was never sent.... which didnt seem like anything more than a $50 deposit loss if it was missed, but oh how wrong I was when I woke up to my account overdrafted by $450 after they charged me $600 more than was ever agreed. Come to find out, this is due to an LDW charge of $22 per day (the rental itself was only $20 per day, because that makes sense), supposedly one that was agreed to upon drop off despite zero evidence of such an agreement.Alarming as this was, I tried to go down there to speak to an associate about a refund at which point I was aggressively and rudely refused any assistance beyond highlighting a number on my Hertz paperwork. I asked if they could contact customer service while I was there so evidence could be provided to the Hertz representative (this has always been Cynthia, for what its worth), but she absolutely refused as well as refused to provide me with any contact information for her manager (not that I had high hopes for him because he had already left a bad impression during the drop off). Cynthia then shut me down any further until I left. Then, calling customer service, a refund was provided within minutes (after a 5-7 day processing time, and, as a reminder, overdrafting my account in the process of the initial charge). Youd think Cynthia could have just agreed to call the number with me and facilitate such a refund, but I guess not.10/10 would NOT recommend.
Very easy to get, helpful, and quick
This place is amazing! This was my friend and I’s first time in denver and first time renting out a car so you can only imagine the personal issues we had. But the employees cynthia and jeff were patient with us through the whole process! We were in there for an hour at least! which we are so sorry about that but thank you guys for making our trip a memorable one! You guys welcomed us with big open arms!
WOW!!! This was by far my best experience dealing with a car rental. I was privileged to have Sergio Parra assist me, and I was amazed with his professionalism, care and understanding of each client. He understand what type of car I really needed without me telling him, and arranged it to happen. When I left I told him we sometimes take for granted having nice people like you around.... Thank you and keep up your great job..
Great rental experience! Helpful and friendly staff!
Horrible experience. Made a reservation and the van requested was not available. They said they called but I got no calls from them. I spend $40 bucks to get at the location on uber and +$40 to go back home. Don’t go to this location, sucks.
The district manager (Jeff Newton) at this location is the most arrogant, rude, unprofessional person. He didnt want to assist me, didnt want to answer any questions I had and told me I needed to go online to make reservations and have any questions answered on there. I did enter the building with a mask on but did not enter the building with an attitude or a tone of voice, nor was I raising my voice, cussing, or interrupting so why was I treated so disrespectfully??One of my questions was pertaining to a SERVICE ANIMAL (to specify a dog)....he told me that it was a a dog. I repeated multiple times that it was a SERVICE ANIMAL and he continued to raise his voice at me telling me that it was JUST A DOG and that dogs ARENT allowed. Service Animals are allowed!...its ADA policy. Jeff then proceeded to tell me that if I make a reservation then he is going to cancel it because he wont allow us to rent a vehicle with a dog....as already mentioned its a SERVICE DOG! I then sat outside in my vehicle while I was on the phone with Hertz (talking to a reservationist), and he told me that I needed to leave and get off his property and kept saying GET THE HELL OFF THE PROPERTY BECAUSE ITS PRIVATE PROPERTY and he told me that he was going to call the police. As a customer, I do not want to rent a vehicle from this Hertz location and this so-called District Manager. Someone needs to be fired and taught some customer service skills, as well as respect. The parking lot was and still is empty so I dont understand his rush and rudeness to get me off the property while I was in my car and I am a Hertz Gold Member. Hertz, maybe you need to check into why this location has so many vehicles to rent but arent being rented....look at who you have put in charge.
The manager here is a trash human!! Hertz upper management should step in and remove him. Looks like a lot of bad reviews on him. That says something
Jeffery Allen Newton, the district manager, was extremely rude, unprofessional and hung up on me multiple times. My car had a mechanical defect with the passenger window and they are trying to make us pay for it. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. I’m reporting Jeffery and his behavior to corporate and will NEVER work with hertz again. You’d think due to the pandemic they would be more helpful and willing to listen but all Jeffery did was push back and argue instead of providing any sort of customer service.
It was a terrible experience. I advise not to waste ur time. The management is rude and terrible . The service is harsh and mean. The manager talks back and yells at everyone.
The manager was on a power trip.
This guy will mess you up. He will shaft you in the worst possible way. Go in with a $300 reservation, leave less $900. I don’t know if he’s commission or what, but stay away from this office.
I wish I could give no star. The manager is not professional whatsoever. I was hung up on TWICE. I appropriately ended the conversation is what i was told and then asked if i could proceed with a complaint, he said the same thing and hung up on me. I was just trying to help my mom with her reservation and this guy handled it so badly. Im a bartender and deal with worse customers with more tact than he did. THEY WILL NOT TRY TO CONTACT YOU BY ANYTHING BUT YOUR PHONE, so if they cancel your reservation and they try to call you but your number is invalid/wont work even tho you triple checked when making the SECOND reservation, they will not try to email you to make sure you know its been canceled. The whole point I was trying to make to the manager was that if you dont get ahold of someone maybe send them an email since your call never even went through and the guest doesnt know their rental was canceled because they never got a call. If you wouldve just heard me out the first time everything would have been fine. And I get that your busy but dude you gotta hear out your customers, theyre your business.
Reserved a car at this location, took and uber to the location and was told they had no cars available. There were clearly 4 rental cars sitting in the parking lot and he refused to rent them. Another person arived while I was there and had the same reult.
I wish I caught the gentlemans name who helped us at counter. Hands down, just a great, very personable, pleasure to interact with. I do remember hes from Georgia, and retired military. I recommend handling all your car rental needs with Hertz.
HORRIBLE customer service!!!!! Unprofessional manager please fire this man! Falsely calling the police lying I am stealing their Corolla rental! 😂Very sad will never be using hertz again. Manager in this location is a clown!
The experience was fine. The car was fine. The problem was that they showed my pickup time as 12:00 AM the day of my pickup but it was actually around 9:00 AM (they dont even open until 7:30). As a result, very mysteriously, I incurred a toll charge on E-470 for 5:30 in the morning on the day of my pickup. Like I say, I didnt have the vehicle at that time nor did I ever drive it on E-470. I tried to dispute the charge with Plate Pass but they said I needed to provide proof that I didnt have the car at that time. I called Hertz and spoke to Frank but he said he couldnt edit my rental agreement to show the correct time - all he could do was send me the original agreement, which does me no good; or involve the district manager, which seems like overkill in this situation. This isnt a big deal or that much money. I ended up just paying the toll invoice. Im only writing this review to suggest that you input the correct pickup times to avoid these kinds of unfair charges with your customers.
They didnt have a truck and it is kind of expensive to rent from there. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I had a rental car for 5 days with hertz due to an automobile accident. The collision repair shop was 24 miles (35 minutes) from the hertz location on Havana and this location told me they won’t go more than 20 miles to pick up or drop off. The first hertz representative I spoke with told me it would be no problem for them to pick me up and drop me off since it was just 4 miles out of their normal range. The day I needed to drop off the car to pick mine up I spoke with the district manager, who was extremely rude and said “I’m a Colorado native and the collision shop you’re referring to is at least an hour from here so you will need to have a friend pick you up”. Having just moved here from out of state, that wasn’t an option. I have not dealt with a company who customer service meant so little to in a very long time and will absolutely never be using hertz again.
Marla at the Hertz on Havana was SO very helpful. She is the kindest, most understanding, caring, professional that I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Thank you so much for helping me!. Mary was also very kind and pleasant. In such a stressful situation it was so amazing to have been helped like this and I will recommend this staff to everyone I know. Thank you thank you thank you. Customer service at its finest!
Clean place. Good customer service.
Rented a car here last week while my Subaru was being worked on, they even picked me up. The price was much better than I was quoted elsewhere. Very friendly, good and clean car, didnt have to wait long for the processing, overall a nice experience.
I’ve been using Hertz Car Rental in Aurora for over 20 years and have always received wonderful service from all the employees. I get the car I ask for and have even been upgraded a few times if they didn’t have the car I requested. I’ve never had to wait very long and they’re always very pleasant. Returning the car is also an easy process. Thank you Mary and Marla on this last visit for another great rental experience!
Excellent experience! The staff at this location was great and I received a vehicle that exceeded my expectations. I will use Hertz for all of my future rentals and try to use this location whenever it is possible.
Its about 5 weeks now that Ive been renting from this Hertz location, and Max has been outstanding the entire time (along with every member of the staff Ive been helped by).I havent been treated any differently as a new customer as I am a recurring customer, and thats important. It shows that this isnt an outdated sales gimmick to do a bunch of great stuff up front, then surprise the customer with a huge bill after. Max, and every member of the staff at this location, are AWESOME!! After 5 weeks of being their customer, I would recommend them with as many stars as any app asks for!
SCAM BEWARE!!! Got a rental here through an insurance claim that wasn’t my fault. Didn’t even get the vehicle because they tried double charging me a $50 liability deposit AFTER Hertz charged the auto insurance company an initial $50 deposit. Hertz would have walked away today with an extra $50 profit had I not contacted my insurance company. Be careful!!!
If I can give this place a zero I would. I called for a rental since I am visiting from Cali For a few days. The district manager Jeff was so rude to my boyfriend and I. I have never dealt with a district manager so rude like him. I hope the company actually speaks with the district manager and can do something about the way he speaks to customers.
Not always into the reviews, but these young ladies went above and beyond, and deserve the praise. Originally, we went with enterprise right down the street. DONT GO TO ENTERPRISE. Had a car reserved for pickup at 800. They called at 730 to let us know they were no cars available for us, even having a reservation and a conformation. This is the second time theyve screwed me. We called hertz immediately after and they were able to help us out right away! There were 3 ladies in there; I apologize I dont remember their names. I think one was named Anastasia? Maybe. Regardless, all of them were great and extremely helpful. They helped us work the price down so it was manageable through he common car rental fees and saved us a bunch with their honesty; something you dont get much at these places. I was terrified to look at the bill thinking theyd sneak extra charges and fees in there; they didnt. Everything was what they promised. Thank yall!! I wish the service was like this at every Hertz(if its not) and any other car rental service. Take Notes!!#pnmpodcast thanks you!!
Booked my pickup for noon which it turns out is when they close. I arrived at 12:02 and the staff ignored me and when I finally spoke to them, they were rude, confrontational and left me in the parking lot without any options to get a car which I prepaid for. Absolutely terrible service.
Service was fast and easy. Friendly staff and easy check in and out. The car was clean and in perfect condition. The store manager, Jeffery was attentive and friendly.
The store district managers of Havana is very disrespectful person, I was complaining about the Kia suv Didn’t reach my expectations he replied is no refund and hang up the phone
Do not waste your time here. They are slower than RMV and their service is just horrible. Take look at reviews here. 3.4 now? It includes local guide reviewers who always give 5 star ($) and as you know we cant give 0 star. Also, be careful when you pay it. I found a hidden fee (It was corrected after I complained but good try). The condition of car was just not drivable. I immediately returned the car and moved to the other rental car company.Just read other reviews here.
Had to rent a car from here due to my vehicle being involved in an accident and I was helped by Jeff who was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and attentative to my needs. The rest of the staff was also very friendly when I called in for questions. Great experience here.
Horrible customer service and rental prices are ridiculous!! Especially when were told we NEED to use their unaffordable insurance and we cant use our own they charge over 300 dollars without warning!! Dont waste your time here unless you have 300 dollars to blow on nothing!!
Great Customer service.. friendly and fast...The manager Jeff went the extra mile for me.. Will definitely rent there again
The manager Jeff is a terrible representative of a fantastic company. After calling to question several pending charges that were additional to my contracted rate I was told by Jeff that he did not have time for this blank and he hung up. I always rent from Hertz and this is my first negative experience.
Very helpful! One car smelled totally like weed, the rep advised me (heavily) on smoking in or near the car and there would be a $300.00 fine if it smells like smoke. The Nissan Altima held my skis and kicked butt going into the mountains. It had a lot more power than I expected. The staff was truly great!
Had rental 4 days. Both pickup/dropoff took me 10min. Office is small and old, but Im here to rent a car not hang out in the office. Car was clean inside and out, rental charges were fair, and my experience was satisfactory.
They are the best hertz location in America.. Always helpful and the go out of there way to help you with whatever it is you need... I will deffinitly recomend and only rent from this location ever!!!Thank you
Excellent service 👍👍 Frank Henderson is a hell of a great guy.
Manager Jeff is unstable.I was promised a ride to the RTD station (10 min away) to get to the airport. He refused for no clear reason and then started yelling at me at the top of his lungs about it.No customer service skills at all. No way for a manager to act. Look how many bad reviews this place has gotten in the past year. How does he keep his job with all the bad reviews? Doesnt Hertz care?
Got a rental while my car is being repaired. They picked me up at the shop, got the paperwork done quickly, and gave me the insurance carrier rate. Couldnt ask for a better rental experience.
Very helpful with my Uber rental. Went over all prices included. Nice and friendly in my experience. It always helps to have a good attitude walking in places like this, as we all know renting cars can be frustrating, but they did great.
During the rental process all charges and fees were not clearly presented to us we left with the rental with the understanding we would be paying X amount at the return of car. But when we did return the car we ended up paying X amount plus a lot more seeing the sales person was not very clear about the charges up front. Then to top it off i told him that he needs to be more clear up front, once I said that he basically ignored us. Not very satisfied with this company
I 100% do NOT recommend this particular Hertz in Aurora, Colorado. Seeing as this was my first experience with the company I was extraordinarily unsatisfied and I feel absolutely cheated. My car was stolen so my insurance company, State Farm, sent me to this Hertz for a rental. There we asked for an economy class vehicle with no insurance (because our insurance covers rental vehicles in cases of theft) and were told there was only one option to choose from, which I found very odd and unsettling. After they insisted there was only one vehicle that fit our needs (there were clearly many other choices) they sent me cruising off in a red Chevy Cruze with California plates. Immediately, I started checking everything I could think of. Almost everything checked out except one odd thing: one of the tires was barely lower on air than the others. I took note of this and decided to check the tire the next morning after driving it straight home and putting it in my garage. Of course, the next morning the tire was at 27 PSI (substantially flatter than the other tires). I immediately called Hertz and told them what had happened. I was told it was my responsibility to fix. That’s false, it’s my responsibility to fix any damage I cause to a vehicle I rent absolutely (and I gladly would because my father is a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force and my mother is a Major in the Army and they instilled this sense of personal responsibility in me from an early age). However, it is NOT my responsibility to fix damaged cars they patch up and hand out to unsuspecting people who are already vulnerable from some separate misfortune. It is absolutely shameful that I was told it was my responsibility to fix their mess after I’d just gotten my car stolen and a broken foot to go with it! How am I going to fix the flat tire Hertz gave me with broken bones? Wow! I feel scammed, disgusted, and a loss of dignity all at once. To make matters thousands of times worse, the district manager, JEFFREY NEWTON, hung up on me as I was asking for the information of the regional manager. So I called back immediately and was given the number to a hotline that mysteriously had “operational errors” and wouldn’t allow me to speak with a representative or leave a message. I still don’t have the information I need to file a formal complaint because when I call I’m placed on hold until I hang up and call back. The lack of professionalism at this “business” is absolutely staggering. It’s such a complete catastrophe that it’s almost impressive, as if it were intentional. They think they’ve seen the last of me... but what they DON’T know is that I own a popular blog and several businesses in the Denver area and I will make sure that this incident is comprehensively discussed within my very active local following. Do NOT rent ANY car from the conmen over at the AURORA HERTZ. Trust me, you’re better off walking.

I had a reservation to rent a Jeep Compass for a week. I was told when I made the reservation that it wouldnt be a problem. I was told that even if they didnt have one they could get one. Of course when I called early today to make sure they had one, they didnt. They lady who answered the phone was too lazy to even check if they could get one. I havent used Hertz in over a decade because of a bad experience. I was willing to to give them another chance. Apparently things havent changed. I wont ever waste my time with them. Good luck to you of you do.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I called and spoke to a person and reserved a car for the following day because my car broke down. They gave me a price and told me to pick up my car between 830 and 9am. I got there at 845 and not only did they not have an SUV (which is what I reserved) but they had no car at all to rent me in any of their locations. I ended up renting with enterprise, who was fantastic, but I was an hour late to work thanks to Hertz. I will never rent with them
Terrible customer service, especially if you go there on a Saturday. Some of their crew are trainees, so your on you own for useful information about your rental vehicle and they are rude. There manager on that day was no help on an over charge issue. He just gave me a customer service number. Their customer service number told me what was going on so this location lied to my face. My advice: Dont rent from here. Try enterprise or another competitier, instead.
I have rented from this location for a long time. Just last week on our annual trip to Las Vegas, needed to upgrade because of added people. Jeff, Lyssette, and Marcel went above and beyond to accommodate and make sure my family was safe and comfortable. Everything was perfect. I was also interested in insurance and I was offered the best coverage for me.
Amazing how smooth and efficient the process was to rent a car. Jennifer was very attentive and friendly even when it was busy.
I have always had wonderful experiences with Hertz, specifically this lovaloca. They were able to make special accommodations for me within minutes. Amazing!
If you are looking for a rental company you can count on I would suggest looking at another location and company. I booked a car 11 days in advance, the manager at this location gave me a call at 5pm the day before the pick up letting me know the car I had reserved was no longer available, no explanation, no offer to find another location for pick up, just a # for customer service. I called costumer service who assured me there was a mix up and that I was all clear for the pick up. I was still nervous, asked for a email confirmation, and the customer service rep said they were 110% sure I could pick up my car. We fly into Denver and called Jeff at the Aurora location to let him know we were on the way. Jeff, obviously annoyed, told my wife that he had canceled the reservation and that there was nothing he could do. My wife asked if he could find us any other location to no avail. I then tried my luck with Jeff, told him that I couldnt believe a company would strand customers in a city with less than 24hour notice. Jeff then informed me of a recent hailstorm, which is understandable, but alternative accommodations are still expected. Jeff then went on to tell me, if you cant understand that we canceled your reservation to help people with a natural disaster I feel sorry for you. Thanks for the moral justification, nice touch! He then let me know that I would have no luck with other companies. Luckily Jeff was wrong. Went over to Avis who after hearing our ordeal hooked us up with a ride and gave us a 15% discount for our troubles. We did try to contact Hertz customer service before going to Avis, they told us they could do nothing... lesson learned, Never trust Hertz with your rental car needs.
I rent from Hertz for Uber. I just received a threatening call telling me I have to return my car today or there will be consequences. I have an ongoing rental that I am fully paid up on. When I called to ask about it, I was told its all cool and not to worry about it, but not given any explanation. I also asked about several unexplained charges on my card and was told again not to worry about them.
Poor customer service. People not trained properly on how to do their job.
The product was fine. The little lady we who checked me in was rather rude. Id give her 1 star personally if I could. My car was fine but dirty inside & out.
I just recently had to put my in the body shop for repair, the say I dropped of my car I had to get a car for transportation. First of all I had to wait for a Hertz rep to pick me up and drive me 30 minutes away to thier office to get the car, u witnessed another car rental company bringing the car to thier customer saving them valuable time during the process. Thier were three customers that came a half hour after me get thier rental cars while i waited for a Hertz rep to come pick me up and them drive me 30 mire minutes to rent a car.The reason that was a problem it made me late to work i needed to be at work by 11:30 I didnt get to work until 12:45 which was a problem. And to add insult to the whole problem they put me in a compact car when the car i drive daily the car that was getting repaired. I asked for larger car but a rep responded to my request with a rude and disrespectful tone. My suggestion to hertz would be helpful to implement a policy that doesnt add stress to a individual who is stressed because a situation through no fault if thier own. And be more considerate of a customers request. It us unfortunate but i will not use this company in the future they need to upgrade thier fleet to accommodate a client needs. I also would have paid for a uber to save me time it would be nice if Hertz would in for client that they should give themselves a couple hours because if thier policy.Thank but no thanks
The problems began with my online reservation. I wanted to pay in full and if you do it online you receive a cheaper rate. It wouldnt allow me to. I called the location directly and they said they didnt know how to access that function and to call the 800 number. I called them and they told me the car I chose didnt have that option but it did and ACTUALLY every option of car did! Hertz just wanted the extra money. Its an extra $25 at least if you wait to pay. I reserved anyway with limited time and options. The day of pickup I was told the regular size car I reserved wasnt available and I was given. A mini van!! I asked what is the point of reservations if you guys dont RESERVE the car. I was told take it and call in later in the day to get a regular car. I made it clear I have never driven anything of the size and preferred not to. Then they tried to upsell me saying they do have regular size card but they were if a different class and I would need to pay more. I had appointments to make and they were just keeping up nonsense. Not good customer service! I will NOT be renting with them again and definitely will NOT be referring them! If your looking for quality and a company with standards dont pick this one.
Found a great deal (or so I thought) on a rental for my folks while they were visiting. I reserved the car and prepaid for it. When we went to pick it up, they charged a significant additional driver charge. Should have just stayed at the airport, not worth going off location.
They were quick, and very friendly. I will definitely go there again!
Good luck with the parking and the girl at the front desk was very difficult to talk to I was trying to be friendly and the was just one of those moments where she didnt get it or she wasnt in the mood she just wasnt friendly at all. Im not sure probably wont be going back to that one after I drop this car back off ... 1st experience with Hertz :-(
HORRIBLE!!!!! Customer service. I know we all go to work and have a time that we are already checked out and ready to go home but NO need to be rude to people. I have never made a review good or bad, but today the way my call was answer was plain rude, ugly and nasty. I will NEVER rent a car by this company. AS A BUISNESS WOMEN, AS AN EMPLOYEE I WOULD NEVER EVER TREAT OTHER PEOPLE THIS NASTY I would NOT treat my clients, my patients this way. This place needs an attitude change. There’s different ways to approach people.
Kind of a rip off . They also gave me false information over the phone. But what else can you expect from companies, money hungry.
If I could give this pace negative stars I would. I have never been so disrespected by a district manager ever! Jeff was completely rude and not willing to help me with my situation. I rented a car from this place while my car was getting fixed for hail damage and was charged what I was not supposed to be charged and when I called to discuss the situation I got treated horribly I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will be contacting somebody above him to prevent this man from treating others like he treated me.
Great customer service best place ever ill never go to another hertz ever again this is the number one for me thank you
This place is an absolute joke. Waited in line for over an hour. ONE person ahead of me and “3 chicken’s with their head cut off” trying to look busy. Literally the worst managed car rental office I’ve ever been to. The lady upfront is rude, and the boss man just sat in the back office the entire time. This is at 9 am on a Monday. I’ve rented from tons of car rental places... I will never be back. I’ve called before and been told that there isn’t a car available until next week! Over 6 days away!! How is this place still in business? No cars? You are a car rental business.... and to not even offer to call me if something comes available, instead I get told to just make a reservation for next week... what a joke
Terrific job. Upgraded vehicle ready upon arrival. Price less than I had been quoted. Easy return to friendly, accommodating team.
All the ladies at the Havana location are so nice and professional. They helped and stood by me during a difficult time.
Beware!!!!!!!! of the tolls. Hertz works with a 3rd party administrative company that handles toll payments which i was unaware of and their rep conveniently failed to mention to me but I made it a point to avoid tolls on this road trip but had to go through one and only $0.51 toll in Texas and was charged a whopping $25.00 administrative fee for paying that toll on my behalf. Im pretty sure i couldve handled paying a $0.51 toll charge on my own. Way to stick it to the common man Hertz!
This place is doing business very badly . they do not honor internet reservation even if I got reservation and confirmation. and they never said to the customer sorry for the could not providing the car they suppose to do . and just say. we will call you. whenever car available. what am I suppose to do without car?. do I have to wondering around middle of street and wait for their mercy?? Already pass more than 2hours, almost 3 hours now. they not call me yet. which they promise me to call me in 2 hours..I JUST CONTACT WITH OTHER RENTAL PLACE . AND FOUND THE CAR!. AVOID THIS PLACE.
This place was just horrible, between the construction noise to the inability to even acknowledge your presence. Then to be helped by a supposed district manager who single handedly pissed on myself and 3 other customers in the 15 min we were waiting... yeah save your time and look for a car rental elsewhere
The Worest customer service I have ever had. First I called them by phone and they put me on hold for 20 minutes and I called them backed and a lady just told me to hold she didnt even listen me. And I went to the office in person and a lady had no any customer things at all.
Called to ask what vehicles they have available and the man over the phone would not answer the question and was rude. Dont even try calling here, give your business elsewhere.
Avoid this location and any Hertz operation. Additional charges will be deducted from your bank account well after checkin based on false claims that you have no rights to object to. No notification, no appeal procedure, and no recourse. Corporate condones these false claims by paying employees incentives for these additional profits. Do a search on the internet and see what an epidemic these false claims has become. They have complete access to your bank account to charge any amount they decide. If you have been ripped off, first post your complaint on their website (only one chance at this because they block you), file complaint with Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Affairs Protection Agency, Better Business Bureau, and State Attorney General. There are multiple social media sites available just for rental car rip offs. Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely. Giving young underpaid managers the opportunity to increase their compensation with total access to your bank account, can create a claim for damage or smoking, without providing any evidence, without the requirement to notify you, and with the companys blessings, is simply wrong. Subsequently there is an epidemic of charges in the industry. Dont be a victim.
I was honestly scared to rent from this place because of the poor reviews I read about false charges etc. But everything is great on my end. I was not charged anything extra and it all worked out. The car was clean enough. There was a stain on the roof when I got in an someone left a 5hr energy drink in the center console so it tells me they did not clean it well before lending it out again. The staff was friendly, I was not hassled in to buying anything I did not want, when I said no he did not continue to pressure me so I am happy with my experience.
This company was really bad .The way they’re talking is so disrespectfully. They’re literally like donkey.
