We have had 2 cars that needed brakes that we have taken to Al Deans. They are the best mechanic shop. They will educate you about the repair and even used Facetime to show me my vehicle while the work was being done. Chuck is one of the nicest people you could ever want to meet.

These guys put a new clutch in my car for me and she feels like a new car again. It is hard to find someone willing to take on manual transmission work. My parts were unusual and harder to find. Still, they had it done in a week. Couldnt ask for a nicer mechanic shop.

I wanted to write this review in thanks, for Chuck and his partner for helping me out of a big jam. I work in MI but live in Canada, and today I was out at lunch, and my serpentine belt slipped off the pump. I was panicked, as I was so far away from home and it is Friday aft before Memorial Day weekend - but Chuck gave me the number for a tow company and kept one of his workers from leaving early to stay back and help me. He fixed it up in no time and barely charged me anything for their time. Great service! Have a great long weekend Chuck! You made my day so much better.

Chuck and his team are absolutely amazing. They are upfront and honest about what should be replaced/repaired and why, and prices for labor and parts are beyond reasonable especially considering how helpful and informative Chuck was. He even offered advice regarding repairs/maintenance that I would need to go elsewhere for if/once they’re needed. I went to the shop because the air in my car wasnt working properly. The service was very courteous and professional!! He even went as far as drawing me a picture to give me an explanation of what was going on with my car. I was very pleased with the work and the experience.

I called them in the morning, and they had my car in and out that day. Very honest and trustworthy. All I needed was new front brake pads, and they did not try to sell me on unneeded parts and work. They do not jack up prices on parts. Brought my truck in after that, had the same great service.

I had a hard time with my cars breaking while driving on I95. I sensed breaks were worn off and needed to do something with them. Then I called this gentleman Chuk and he gave me appointment for next day (04/10). I met him, told him my problem. He inspected the car and breaking system and informed me what was needed to be done within some time. I got the rotor and break pad replaced within couple of hours and my car is again running as good as new. Chuk is nice man and his friendly nature attracts more people and clients like me. Pls do visit his auto shop for any kind of repairs you want.

As a full time college student I’m used to a typical mechanic trying to up charge me and possibly even scam me. However, this shop has been informative and friendly. The first time I went in I had a battery issue, which they identified and had fixed within two days. Today I had a flat tire which was fixed on the spot. Both were done at good prices but not only that I was explained exactly what they were looking for and we’re going to do. They have done nothing but serve their customers well and I count on them being a good resource for years to come.

I took my car in to have what I thought was an issue. They took the car for a test drive then pulled it in the garage and looked at it for a good 20 minutes. Told me no issues and its in great shape. Plus, they did not charge me anything! You dont find service like that very often today.

My windshield wipers required replacement and they replaced for me for free although it took time because the wipers i purchased were not ideal . Very polite and HONEST ... highly highly recommended ..

I went here looking for an estimate on how much it would be to replace my ignition switch because the key wouldn’t turn in the ignition. They told me to go to the dealership and see if I can have a key made because my key was worn down. Some mechanics would’ve told me that I needed to get the ignition replaced just so they can get an extra buck but they steered me in the right direction. I Definitely recommend them.

I went on line and liked the reviews about Al Deans Auto Repair. They tell you everything about their services and business motto. What they dont tell you is that you need an appointment to have your vehicle serviced. I wasted my time getting up early to be there, only to see a note on the door which reads, appointment only.

*BE AWARE*Had my timing and water pump replaced at 125,000 miles. Brought it in and was assured these needed to be replaced less than 25,000 miles later. Without question we agreed. Did not ask us if this had been done. Be aware of thirsty mechanics like this. Won’t be coming back here!

Initially I was pleased with the knowledge provided but I was told a lower diagnostic price over the phone vs an higher diagnostic price upon my arrival. I was also told the fee would be waived if I continued with the repairs. Then once my truck set for a day I was told the fee would not be waived. Then I still proceeded to discuss the issue with my vehicle further an attitude was given when I expressed the issue of price change and the reasoning behind why the issue wouldnt be fully corrected if the reservoir would be changed. I had to call another shop to verify that in fact could be the issue. If your looking for understanding he will provide it but if you have further question I recommend going somewhere else who doesnt have a problem answering the extra questions you may have also if your looking for pure honesty.

A few weeks ago I was in emergency panic mode while driving as my car felt like it needed immediate attention so I looked up the closest car shop to me and it led me to Al Deans Auto Repair. The owner looked at my car right away and drove it around to evaluate. Most car shops would have tried to talk me into needing to get a repair or ripped me off. He didnt charge me anything for this he just wanted to help me. He gave me advice what I should do (take it to the dealership) and it all ended up working out (warranty covered it- my transmission was dunzo!). He was awesome and so helpful. I AM SO GRATEFUL- THANK YOU!!!

Currently we’re going through a pandemic so I called and got a call back saying they open later because of the change in hours. I explained my issue and it’s very affordable just to get your car looked at as well. They are honest, provide quality care with affordable prices, and great customer service! I came in for brakes and rotors and they let me know one of my calipers was bad after trying their hardest to save it. I stay in the area so myself and family have gotten serviced from here numerous times. Depending on your service they off different warranties which is awesome. My service was quick and so was able to get my car back the same day and was also offered a complimentary pickup since my ride was not available. I will go back for any future auto services! I havent been back to get the truck yet, but that level of customer service is why I continually use them over the big mechanic shops or the dealerships.

5☆ for integrity. I have consulted with them twice and both times advised how to save money, get what I needed without buying a product or service from them. REAL SERVICE is not over selling. These guys were great and they didn’t even work on my car! Chuck gave me really honest appraisals which was nice to not have someone try to ding you on labor costs. I came in for a tie rod and he noticed an issue on my tire I hadn’t noticed and turned away the business to fix my car because he wanted me to go back to where I had a warranty on my tire I didn’t know I had. Said he just wanted my car to be safe for a fair price, which is beyond nice to hear these days. When the time comes, I’ll be coming back to these guys because I want to give them the business.

This is the BEST auto shop Ive ever visited. I was in the area for work - when my blower (when it was -13 degrees) quit working. It worked fine when my car was at the shop so they were not going to charge me anything but I asked them to run diagnostics. They found a few things wrong (my car has 242K miles on it so thats to be expected) and even took a video of a couple of the problems so I would have a clear understanding of what issues they found. Given the very old age of my car instead of making money off of me, Chuck told me it might be time for a new car. Then 2 weeks later I had a flat tire. I had Chucks phone number and didnt know who else to all. I gave him a call and he had my car towed to the shop, picked me up, took me to work, fixed my tire and provided a courtesy ride back to pick up the car. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I tell anyone who listens what a great place this is. If I lived nearby, Id never take my car to anyone else.

The lead mechanic got me in right away for a punctured tire early may the 15th, 10:15 am Fixed it on the spot. Low charge to fix as well. He was nice too.

My experience with Al Deans is hands down the best experience Ive ever had with an auto repair shop. The service was both fast and efficient and they kept me notified of the process and their findings throughout the course of the repair. Incredibly honest and VERY good at what they do with great pricing. I cannot recommend them enough!

I went here saying that my car heater not working. So after the initial inspection, he suggested me to change heater core etc... and costed it me around 500$ after the repairs. After that I went to pickup my car and to my surprise its in the same condition as before and the worse thing is now my car engine is getting overheated and he suggested it should be an issue with cylinder head and it may take around 1500$ for replacing that. He even showed me and explained me why its causing the issue but I am not a mechanic so what i can do is just nod my head... He also told it would be better off with my car for few bucks. I thought it would be better if i go with second opinion and went someplace else. After getting inspected, found its radiator issue and got it replaced and everything seems to work perfectly fine. I am happy I didnt loose another 1500$ spending to him which may not even solve the issue.

Very prompt and friendly service. The owner and the mechanics were very accommodating. My brakes started grinding and I had to get them done in between my classes since they closed when my last class started. I just moved to Auburn Hills MI from Chicago for school. I was in need of a good mechanic as my front wheel started shaking severely. I brought my car to Al Deans and not only do this shop know what they are doing, they have some of the best costumer service I have ever experienced. The owner even offered me a tour of the city while my car was getting repaired, that is above and beyond service. If you need any repairs to your car, Al Deans will take great care of you.

Had a work van break down on a tech in the area and had it towed to these guys. They could of got the van done that day by 6 but I needed it done faster. I brought them the part and they put it on for me. Price was reasonable and work was done fast. Nice people and understood my situation completely.

If you’re in need of a shop and you’re in the Auburn Hills area, Al Deans is a stand up place. I was in a bind today needing a battery for my fiancées car and they not only sold me a battery off of their battery rack (which is not something most shops regularly do), but they also gave me a lift back to my car a 1/2 mile away so I didn’t have to carry it back. There is no shop in miles that would do that, most shops would require you get your car towed in and then want to charge labor for installing a battery. This saved me a ton of time and money and I am very grateful for the courtesy extended to me.

Impressive work done by awesome people. A wheel bearing failed on my vehicle when I was interviewing in the area with my wife and kids. Aldeans put in the extra effort to take care of us and get us back on the road home that day. Amazing turn around time in my mind. These people are honest and timely. After research, I determined I neededa new blend door actuator since my temperature control did not workproperly. They were the only shop that gave me an honest estimate of the cost and would complete the job on a timely basis. It is refreshing to deal with an auto repair shop you can believe.

These guys are great.Ive had more than a few repairs done here, and never had any problems with the cost or the service. In most cases I already had the replacement part, and the labor charge was very reasonable for the level of quality from the mechanic.After a few visits, the boss recognizes me and still waves anytime I see him out front. This is a shop that I refer everyone in town to. Even if youre in southern Rochester or east side Pontiac, its worth the trip to have the job done right.

I had an issue with my car where it failed to start. Eventually I was able to get the car to start on my own but I took it to Al Deans to check if there were any potential problems that caused the failure in the first place. Chuck tested the car and confirmed that it was starting reliably, and went over some possible issues that may have caused the failure. However, as the car was working fine with no error codes, he did not try to upsell me on expensive diagnostics which would likely turn up no results. Instead, he simply let me take the car home without charging me anything. I trust that hes honest and wants whats best for the customer instead of trying to make money any way he can.

Im always a little bit wary of a ton of positive reviews, but this is a shop thats earned theirs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was ready to have my trans rebuilt, but instead of taking advantage of me and just rebuilding the trans, they diagnosed it, gave it a tune-up, and it runs like the day I got it. That saved me a ton of money. Ill definitely be going back for all my maintenance needs.

I came in on a Friday about 10 minutes before close, and desperate. Smoke was billowing out from under the hood of my car, and I needed to drive out of town to make it for the birth of my friends baby. I called several shops that day, and by the time I left work I figured I just wouldnt be able to make it in time, and would just have to visit the following weekend.I called Al Deans based on a google maps search, and really because it was the only one that was open. IM SO GLAD I DID. Chuck quoted me a few hundred dollars less than anyone else in the area. Even the shop at the gas station would have cost more! Not only did he take my car in, he patiently explained the process, showed me the parts that would be replaced, and assured me that he would stop work if there was irreparable damage and the car couldnt be saved.I was on the road by noon the next day AND charged even less than what was quoted. Since the day I hired Aldeans to fix my car they became my No. 1 source for repairs and consultation. Very friendly and competitive prices. I get my oil changed over the lunch break. They often offer help and free pickup and drop off during work hours- I work 5 miles away.

I was having problems with my cars transmission and I needed it to be looked at asap. I spoke with the manager Chuck over the phone who was able to get me in right away. He was very kind and offered me various options for my car, taking into consideration the condition of the car and the cost of the repair.
