Carolyn is just beyond professional. She’s also beyond friendly. She really makes you feel utmost comfort and just out of this world. She is by far the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. I’ve been seeing Carolyn for the past 4 months now. I’ve NEVER been disappointed. Her hairstyle services and friendliness go hand in hand. Whatever hairstyle you have pictured in your head is what Carolyn will have you leave with. Her attitude is just potent with positivity and happiness. Update: still living with a haircut that looks between a pixie cut and a mullet. Fancy bottle service and polite people doesn’t matter if you don’t listen to your customers. Especially when they spend over a year growing out there hair. It’s your personality and your look. Generic haircuts are easy, so I have no idea why kind of Frankenstein thing I got and where it was going. Don’t let The new girl cut your hair.I had long hair and all I wanted was a trim. A trim was not what I got and now it’s way beyond too short. I can’t even put it in a bun anymore and My sides is like a buzz. I have nothing on my sides now! Who cuts it like this? After even telling her I just want it cleaned up for the new job I’m starting. Everyone was nice and service was good but none of it matters if my haircut really is beyond what I wanted. I paid a lot for really something I didn’t want. Not to mention but a fairly deep cut on my forehead. There is no “fixing” this. Would not come again.

Came in one day last week and got a wonderful cut from Zarinah! She gave me just what I wanted and I felt great when I left. 5 star experience overall! Also great to sit in the waiting room and enjoy a beer while I waited. Bianca, the receptionist, made sure I was comfortable while i waited. She offered me a beverage and cleaned the chairs as customers came and went. Very nice touch, and good to know 18/8 is still upholding their disinfecting!

I just finished my second appointment with Carolyn and all I can say is WOW! Not only is Carolyn a joy to be around, but the woman knows how to give a stylish men’s cut better than anyone to whom I’ve gone previously during my 8 years here in ATL. She also gives excellent (and effective!) advice to revitalize and maintain scalp health. The pandemic left my hair thick and my scalp dry, but Carolyn’s in-salon scalp treatment combined with actionable recommendations on affordable products have me in a good place again. I’ve been coming to 18/8 for a few years now and have seen a lot of staff come and go. My experience with all of these staff members have been great and I always enjoy my haircuts! The last few times I’ve been in the young lady working the front desk has just been exceptionally amazing. Her friendly and professional demeanor have been the highlight of my visits. She told me her name was Bianca. She asked me how my service was, complimented my haircut, and even offered me products to maintain my stylish new du at home! Bianca is by far the best front desk staff member I have seen in my years of coming to this salon!

Always a great haircut from this place, but had Carolyn today and felt the need to leave an actual review. She did an incredible job, and I’ll certainly be requesting her in the future! I have been in this establishment a bunch of times and have never been disappointed. Stephanie is the stylist I am most familiar with and her service is impeccable. Shes not one that will talk your ear off but is always ready to engage in light conversation with a great sense of humor. The hair service goes without saying, perfect everytime. Being new to the Atlanta area, I was a bit stressed about finding a good hair salon. My experience at 18/8 was very positive. All the COVID precautions described on the website were followed to the letter. Ben, my hair stylist, kept his mask during the whole session and his station was properly cleaned. I scheduled an appointment for a classic haircut. Ben took the time to listen to my preferences but I let him pick a style that could fit me. Im very happy with the result and with the attention to detail that he showed during the whole appointment. I also thought that the prices were fair relative to other hair salons, especially given how satisfying the service was. Ill definitely go back!

Ive been a customer of Brandon’s since late 2018 when he was in the Peachtree Corners location. Coming to the Brookhaven location has been a smooth transition. Brandon is truly an artist when it comes to hair. I transitioned to a shorter style, and he has consistently made me look great. I even get the gray blending, and it works like a gem. I honestly come in every six weeks (yes, every six weeks) because the hair actually grows into the style. Ive never experienced anything like it. I highly recommend the 18|8 Brookhaven location and moreover stylist Brandon!

Everybody is great! The master barber Berto is amazing, and Ive gotten a hair cut from a minimum of 5 different stylists and it ALWAYS turns out great... if I had to recommend a good barbershop in Atlanta, this would be my first followed by Ginos Classic Barbershop by Perimeter

I went into 18/8 for the first time A couple weeks ago and my experience was awesome! Sonia was my stylist and she was amazing. I thought I knew how to explain myself and what I wanted but I had NO IDEA! Lol. After ranting, and going in circles, Sonia politely stopped me, calmed me down. She gave me more information about what type of hair I have and how it will behave if I went too short or not short enough. After she took the time to explain, she started her magic and I began to see the transformation. We ended up going shorter and gave me the sharpest, (square) shape that looked awesome! It complimented the shape of my face, which is more round (as she explained) and she was right! Sonia is one talented hairstylist, and I hope she NEVER leaves 18/8 because she gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had in my life!

Sonia gave my son the best cut ever! We have been here before and was extremely happy, but Sonias’ work was supreme! She really didn’t need any direction, and didn’t cut his hair too short, which I hate when that happens! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful:) If you need to send a man in your life (in my case, it was my son) to get pampered, send them to 18/8, and send them to Sonia :)

Just tried 18/8 for the first time, because my barber just moved out of the country. I looked at the previous reviews and decided to book with Sonia online. Having the same barber for 15 years, I was a little nervous going to someone else, but as Sonia started asking questions and showing interest, I knew I was in the right chair. Being from Manhattan, she’s straight forward, but in a very relatable way. Also, great conversation of her experiences in the big city. Sonia knows her stuff! Defiantly try her out. I will be back again.

Sonia gave a great cut with little direction. She had been doing hair for 16 years and it shows. She gave me great recommendations for styling, and my wife says I look younger, so this is a win for me. Atmosphere of the salon was great. Sonias’ scalp massage and hot towel at the end, is awesome! Sonia is Awesome! I decided to try her for the first time, after reading the reviews. She has a great personality, she tells it like it is, being from New York, and is super funny. The most important attribute she has though, is being a fantastic stylist. I highly recommend Sonia if you want to look your best.

Ive had the same haircut for too long and wanted to try something different from a professional stylist who could take the time to listen to my concerns and put together a new look. I am by no means a egotistical guy who cares about his looks but who cuts your hair isnt something you should trust to just anyone. Who wants a bad haircut? Nobody. Who do I trust? Morgan. Morgan works for 18/8 in Brookhaven. Im assuming the owners know how much of a treasure they have.It is more like an experience with Morgan than just a haircut. She is personable and genuine. You can get lost in a conversation with her and not worry what she is doing. Mainly because she does know what she is doing. I have no worries with her. She genuinely cares how her clients look. I have been lucky to find her. 5 stars for Morgan and 18/8 who when I walked in one day booked me with her. I wouldnt go to someone else now.

Stephanie always takes great care of me when I see her for a coloring service. She listens very well to my concerns, keeps records of the service details, and goes the extra mile to assure that I am satisfied with the results. In addition, this salon does a great job at presenting an atmosphere and décor that is catered to the male population. You’ll definitely not feel out of place here if you’re a dude.

Update: How do you respond to a bad review and ask for a good review??? If I had a good experience maybe I would have come back more often considering I get a haircut every 2 weeks. Doesn’t make sense to me. Sadly disappointing experience. $27 for a buzz cut with no shampoo. They barely knew how to use clippers. Didn’t use a tissue paper between my neck and the apron. Hair all over my collar and down my back. This place is overrated. Roosters is much better! Felt like great clips. And they ask for a good review.

Went to get a walk in haircut last minute before New Years, arrived 35 minutes before closing time and the receptionist said they wouldn’t be able to seat me. They had stylists available because they asked what service I need and once she realized I needed a haircut proceeded to tell me they close at 6pm when it is 5:25PM— Rather than provide excellent customer service to a loyal patron; they lost a customer.

Came here for a Spa Day for all of my guy friends. Ended up showing up a little late, which we apologized for. Rather than greeting us politely, Tim from management kept bringing up money we owed him. Service ended up being great, but due to the rudeness of Tim we will never come back. I paid the entire balance in full and everyone was able to serviced. We actually left early too so our being late should not have had any effect on the salon.Update: Tim texted us and asked us to take down the reviews in a very rude manner. We ended up blocking his number due to nature of his harassment.

Got my haircut there, and I was pretty nervous going in, because I have been growing out my hair for the past couple years but I’ve been ready to change it up. I was honestly impressed from when i walked in, with reception, through the haircut with Brandon, (who did an awesome job, couldn’t be happier with my hair) and the very relaxing, very clean straight razor shave done by Kody. Everyone was very personable and the complimentary drinks were a nice touch to calm my nerves.

Its nice and all, very official. Lovely people who I’m sure are better than most if not all other options around here, but a miscommunication on a $60 haircut that ends up making me look effectively stupid isnt too nice. Lucky enough Mr. Hat invented the hat.

I came here after seeing the rave reviews but Im not sure how it has such high ratings. Despite showing a picture of how I like my hair cut- a haircut that Ive had plenty of stylists cut before - it somehow ended up way too short. To give you an idea of just how bad it was, Ive literally had friends and family ask me where I got it cut only to tell me not to go back and thank me for the heads up as to where not to go themselves. That being said the staff was nice, they offer you a beverage when you go in, and they upgraded me to the executive for free since it was my first time - but all of those things dont justify the $48 I paid for a bad haircut.

Hair type: Thick, wavy, ignores most hair products.Ive never once in my life really enjoyed a hairstyle, but Id never really been to a higher-end place as well. I decided to give 18 8 (ask them why their establishment this, its actually awesome) a chance, and I feel like its one of the best decisions of my life. Keith did my hair, and hes a master. Hes not just good, but hes the best stylist to ever get near my hair. Keith didnt try to work against my hair, but he also did what I wanted. Something professional, modern but not too out there. I will be coming to him once a month now.The atmosphere is amazing, the area is amazing, and guys-- know that my recommendation is essentially a guarantee. Go. Like. Now. JUST STOP READING AND GO GET A COOL HAIRCUT.

Walking in I felt like it was a gamble - Ive been burned by an upscale mens salon before, and I am not the type of person who gets excited about fancy. They took my jacket and offered me a beer, then gave me a nice shampoo and rinse. My stylist then made several suggestions to change my hairstyle to better fit my face, she showed me that bringing my hair forward instead of back looked way better, and she made it easier to manage, as I have very thick and wavy hair. She showed me some hair product that would manage my stubborn hair better than the stuff I had been using... I hate gels... and it was no pressure or car salesman act, just a professional trying to help me accomplish the look I was going for. Im very happy with my new haircut - I even got a coupon for 20% off my next visit. Everything said and done it was about $65.00, completely worth it. Without buying anything extra you can get out of there for around $40-$50 im sure. Highly Recommended.

Ben Brady is excellent at what he does! I have never experienced the true pleasure of a mens salon and what it has to offer. Ben has the highest standards and best skills that I have ever had the privilege of experiencing from the hair cut to the color. We won’t go anywhere else. Amanda is absolutely magic. She cuts my 4yo’s hair and, really, is so great. She is patient and kind. He somehow follows her instructions, so that’s magic in itself and she also does a fabulous job with his hair. Everyone there is nice and professional. We initially went in after another barbershop messed my son’s hair up (the girl who messed it up actually suggested we have 18|8 fix it). Amanda squeezed my son in and did a great job recovering it. My husband freaked when he saw the other shop’s initial cut, but was so pleased to see the end result after 18|8 fixed it. We’ve been back since and it’s been nothing but a pleasure. No one else will be touching his hair! 10/10 reccommend to any male who’s looking for a high end professional salon. It’s worth the drive and certainly worth the money.

Headed here after a recommendation from a friend. Salon was well put together and clean. The whole crew were extremely friendly and I got on with them really well. Unfortunately, despite my clear instructions, the barber cut my hair too short. I even asked for a barber with long hair so he was familiar with longer hair and wasnt going to shave it off as has been my experience in most American barber shops. The hair is short in sections on the side and top of my head so it naturally sticks up. Overall a $45 haircut (inc tip) which now I have to wait for a month before it is acceptable. The receptionist told me that Id also get a neck massage and eyebrows cleaned up for the price I was paying but that never happened. The barber was a decent guy and I feel bad writing a bad review but I suppose thats the way it is when I now have to deal with a bad haircut.
