I’m glad to see a new manger here. Mr. Bennett is so nice and helpful. I love the pool and the location, it’s really convenient to work. In the past trash has been a problem but the new people in the office are already making a change for the good. I appreciate the changes being made.
I’ve been a resident at century skyline (skyline ATL for 3 years and would not recommend this as a living community. Fire alarms constantly go off in the middle of night. Leasing rents vacant apartments on airbnb making it more of a hotel than a living community. Fights and break-ins happen more often than not. The new staff is just awful, incompetent, and rude. Overall not a pleasant living community.
Great location but the elevator always broke. They change the Airbnb policies 3 months into my lease it was mandatory we sign. Told us to take lockbox off door then they will pick which one they want still haven’t heard anything back from that. The pool closed until June 30 or longer not sure yet. We my lease doesn’t end until October so we will see how that goes
Even with new management, this property still has so many issues. Biggest one - pool hasn’t been open since I moved in almost a year ago. First it was renovations, then it was COVID. No concessions are given for a rooftop pool this property so heavily advertises as a prize amenity. This makes zero sense. Leasing office is rude when you ask about anything as if the tenants don’t have a right to the amenities we pay for. Airbnb runs rampant here. Emails are sent out with warnings, but I can assure you nothing is done. Bottom line - don’t advertise as some midtown living when there’s no rooftop pool that tenants pay for but can access. Doesn’t matter the reason. Service industry 101 - make it right for the customer. This property hasn’t grasped that concept at all. Open the pool. Maybe that will make tenants have a little more faith in this “new management”. Sidenote - the fake review saying the pool is great is a joke.
Whoever said that they love 2 months ago is lying. The pool hasnt been open since I moved here at the beginning of the year, and here it is July 1st and its still not open, and Ive tried calling the leasing office and now it just goes to an automated messaging system 🙄
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS A WARNING - STAY AWAY New property management group (Cushman & Wakefield) are just as terrible as the last. I guess anyone can become a property manager now days. The assistant property manager Catherine Sutton as a terrible attitude, and even worse customer service. Is she qualified from a real estate agent or broker perspective? Probably not.Besides the management, this property is disgusting. Trash stacked to the ceiling in the elevator rooms and trash littered throughout the parking garage. Pool/ GYM hours end at 6pm when the office closes.PLEASE CONSIDER THIS A WARNING - STAY AWAY
The maintenance staff quickly corrected the issue I was having.
We stayed here for 1 year and was allowed to do Airbnb there. At first our experience was pleasant, but after some time we had one complaint after another that seemed to never get addressed. We were paying for pest control, but they didnt come until we had to call thr office every week. I would not suggest anyone to move or live here
Excellent company to work with, we love the management and everyone is so nice! One of our favorite clients.
I was supposed to move in yesterday. Catherine, the assistant manager, told me I had to wait for the carpet to be replaced. So, I went this morning with my money order to pick up my keys for my 1:30 pm move in, only to be told my apartment was NOT going to be ready under any circumstances and there would be no guarantee to when it would be. I asked Catherine to speak to the manager, to which she then kicked me out of her office and told me to wait for Amanda, the manager, and “she had no clue when she’d be there.” I waited for about 45 minutes to which she then kicked me out of the leasing office as a whole. I came back about an hour later to inquire about talking to Amanda again as all of my boxes are packed and I was fully prepared to move today. At that point, Catherine became belligerent, yelling that I because I had become “combative” Century Skyline would NOT be renting to me, even though I’ve already been approved as a resident. Let me be clear: in no way was I combative at all, and I pride myself in being reasonable even in difficult situations. I was desperately wanting to work things out. The bottom line is- after this experience, as long as Catherine is working here, I would personally not feel safe in this community and would NOT apply to live here in any capacity. I still haven’t received a call from “Amanda” the manager, if she even exists about the situation. I am without an apartment and my current lease is up tomorrow, plus I have forfeited my deposit for my movers, all with my welcome letter and first months rent in hand. I’ve truly never experienced an apartment management like this one, and I really hope you won’t have to either.Update: Catherine called me back around an hour and a half after this situation like nothing happened. She said I could move in at 2pm, which was close enough to my original move in time, and if the aforementioned events had not previously commenced, this would’ve remedied the original problem immediately and allowed me to not cancel my movers. She made no mention that she had, minutes ago, screamed at me that she would NEVER rent to me. I am still awaiting my first call from Amanda as mentioned previously.
I was eager to virtually tour with this complex since I am relocating back to ATL from DC. The complex had been sending me text reminders of our upcoming virtual tour leading up to our scheduled time. At first, they seemed pretty on top of it. But when it came time to virtually tour the apartment... nothing? No link. No text communication or email from the complex to access the virtual tour? Im confused! It seems disorganized. On top of the other 1 star reviews Im seeing, Im starting to believe them if theyd treat a potential tenant (me) so carelessly. Id be apprehensive.
I was about to check this out and remember there is a strip of homeless right before the light. As well as the only five star comes from a person with the same name of an employee who was left in a bad review.. go figure .
Century Skyline has great potential but it needs much improvement. The new management team has made great improvements but there is much to be done. Cleanliness is a big issue at these apartments. The tenants are the big problem. They do not follow the rules, and they smoke a lot of weed in and outside of the property, and they leave trash everywhere. There is always piles and piles of trash in the garage. The best part about living at century skyline is the accessibility to the city, however, with the issues I’ve mentioned, it’s not worth the money.
DO NOT RENT HERE!!! This place is TERRIBLE. It smells bad and everything is falling apart. Seriously, this place is old and needs serious upgrades. There are broken bottles everywhere, homeless people that sleep in the stairwell. I never once felt safe in this building.
This place is Complete trash and I would not move here. Trash in the stairwells that never gets cleaned up. Stuff is always broken around the building. The staff is useless. DONT MOVE HERE!
It’s great living here. The area is good and close to activities. The staff is great and they care about the residents. It’s close to and and that’s the best part.
Overall, Ive enjoyed my 2+ years living here. The management team is really friendly and proactive. Also, the maintenance crew is very good. I will put in a routine request and it is usually completed within the same day depending on the time of the request. The place is reasonably clean if every tenant follows the valet trash policy, which isnt always the case. The rooftop pool is small, but nice and adequately maintained. Parcel Pending package delivery service is convenient and easy to use. A few thing that could be improved are: 1) Fruit flies or gnats are pretty constant within the apartment. I dont know if were causing it as tenants or what. 2) The appliances arent that great. 3) The marijuana odor is consistent, but really does not bother me 4) It can get loud sometimes late at night, but not all the time. Mainly weekends. 5) People suck at parking.Ive never had a problem with security or feeling endangered on the premises. Ive never seen homeless people sleeping in the hallways/stairwells. No dead roaches in the halls (We live in the city so dont think you wont see bugs). For my first experience in an apartment it has been pretty good. Everyone is nice and the diversity is great.
Let me just start by saying My whole entire experience has been wonderful! I was welcomed to the property through email then called to verify my time of arrival. Once I arrived I was greated with a hug and I just felt special. I was offered refreshments while the agent put my information In the computer and printed a quote for me. The building smelled and looked cleaner than expected. I was shown a empty apt and a model ( which I loved) huge closet space!!! Large living area, island kitchen and large bedroom. I was sold!!! The approval time took a little longer than expected but in there defense (residents were coming down for packages and other people were walking in too) they were busy!!! I appreciate the fact the customer service doesnt end after move in😃. A couple residents that had been there for years also approached me and stated this was the best team yet. I was so excited to hear. As a business owner I know people will take time to write a negative review verses a positive but, based on my recent experience here, I can wait to move in.
If i could leave less than one star i would. This place never answers the phone and there are always ongoing issues. I would suggest that you buy your own lock for your apartment as safety does not seem to be a concern for this complex.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!I REPEAT, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!I POST PICTURES AND PICTURES DO NOT LIE!!Management here is very unprofessional, unfriendly, and unapologetic. There is trash in the hallways, parking garage, and common areas constantly.Currently there have been 2 couches in a first level parking space for over 2 months. The hallways smell like wet carpet, the pool is always closed, the laundry facility is dirty and the machines are never wiped down, the televisions in the cyber cafe only show 3 channels, the games are old, car break ins, apartment break ins, apartments have roaches and gnats, and a lot of the residence are young and smoke weed.7/15/2018Currently there is no door handle on the main door entrance. Clothes and furniture are scattered throughout the garage, and the pool needs cleaning.I have added pictures. If you come and visit do not be fooled by the rooftop pool. Yes it has amazing views but it will be closed at the most inconvenient times and you cannot live up there so take my word that your apartment issues and the quality of service that you receive will not be worth the headaches and your hard earned income!
One of the best places that I could ever stay. The office staff is so amazing and the maintenance staff does a great job of making sure that issues are take care of swiftly. I love the views, the rooftop pool is amazing. I could go on and on about this place. Definitely one of the best places to live in the city!!!!
Overall this building is wonder!! There are so many compliments that I could give about the building and it’s staff! Speaking of the staff, each and everyone of them are awesome and really dedicate themselves to bettering the building and protecting its Residents. Any issues that I have had, have been solved AND in a timely manner as well. A great example of this would be yesterday one of our Leasing Specialist Deonte W., went over and beyond to find a missing package for me. Without even knowing the importance of the package to me, he immediately made it one of his top priorities to locate it. Which he did and contacted me to let me know, and it was such a relief to hear! The fact that Century Skyline is run by a staff that takes care of their Residents from A-Z really sets it apart from all the other apartments in Atlanta!!
When I first walked into the office I knew that this was going to be my future home. I was welcomed by a great office staff in which they all stood to greet me. The office smelled amazing and was so nicely decorated, with all kind of refreshments offered. This property has awesome floor plans and it was so hard to decide on which one to choose. One thing you dont see in most communities is the property manager coming out to greet you and I can say that at this property she did not make me feel as if I wasnt a priority. I just want to say thank you to Sara, Amanda, and the office staff of Century Skyline Apartments and I look forward to working with you soon.
Apartment are nice, but tenants are awful. In the last year, weve watched the quality of the residents decline steadily as younger and younger people move in. The building has become party central. It is not unusual to arrive and find parties going on in the guest parking area on a Friday night, people drinking in the parking deck, trash in the elevators, empty beer bottles in hallways. And the CONSTANT smell of marijuana.Every time I drive up those ramps or go to the common areas, all I can think is I cant wait to leaveNo negative comments about the management but it seems like they need to control unruly tenants better. At $1,700+/month, youd expect a certain level of civilization, you know? The units are well furnished and they have a modern lookUPDATE: they have been really anal about checking the pool. Even on Sundays, when the office is closed, they send someone (claiming to be a pool monitor, presumably working for the management company) to check on bracelets. However, if you thought this would mean a cleaner pool, you are sorely mistaken. On 7/9, the pool is littered with cigarette butts, hair, assorted trash. And I dont mean outside, but in the water.
I like this place. I only came here to find the number to the leasing office so that I could call to confirm if my package had been delivered. Reading other reviews (many as recent as my move-in) makes me wonder if people are overstating. Conversely, our experiences may differ due our floor level or unit location. Ive been here since late last year and havent had ANY of the problems listed in other reviews. I havent seen one bug (roach or fruit fly) and I consistently see the maintenance staff cleaning, repairing, etc. daily. Ive even seen two different people tasked with picking up dogpoop that residents either refuse or forget to pick up.The homeless shelter down the street is now closed (which really sucks for them) but Ive yet to have an interaction with homeless people inside or outside the building (knocks on wood). Easily, the only concern Ive had is package delivery. The parcel pending situation is definitely convenient, especially for people like myself who come home after the leasing office closes. However, sometimes packages dont go to parcel pending and still end up in the leasing office, hence my initial reasoning for even coming to this google page. Obviously, this mishap is on the varying delivery services and drivers who might or might not know how to access the partial pending locker. If I wanted my friends to be my neighbors then I would definitely recommend this place. Unfortunately, I dont; so, a referral from me is unlikely. However, this place is still great AF!
Deonte W. is the BEST!! Goes above and beyond for me anytime I need ANYTHING! He always gets it done ASAP. Thank you Deonte!!!!!
I like this apartment a lot. It’s a good value. I know they clean the halls every week. We just have some nasty tenants. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
I have lived in this complex for two years now, There is a new management team that have really made such a difference. The new assistant manager Kedrick Emanuel is awesome! He handles issues so quickly and he takes care of things personally as oppose to just passing the buck. I love the focus on tenant happiness that he brings to the office.
I love it here great staff in the office and the maintenance guys are top notch! The halls, fitness center, clubhouse, cyber cafe, etc., are always super clean. I have nothing but great things to say about being here.
I love it! the location through me off a bit in the beginning with the shelter but i havent had any issues. Anytime i call any maintenance request in (hardly ever) they get done within two days tops. The rooftop is my favorite. The cafe is a life saver when i need to work from home. The front office staff is super sweet. I have had a few friends move in too!
I’ve been a resident at century for 3 years and would NOT RECOMMEND this as a living community. Fire alarms constantly go off in the middle of night. Leasing rents vacant apartments on airbnb making it more of a hotel than a living community. Fights and break-ins happen more often than not. Overall not a pleasant living community.
Deaunte was by far the best leasing manager Hard worker very knowledgeable, very polite help me assist with my unit just all around incredible
Once they get your money they forget all about you
Forewarning, the people who work here will do whatever it takes to get your money and are not above scamming you. I went in here and received a quote directly from the leasing office for an apartment that wasnt too overpriced, best you can hope for in Atlanta. I applied for it the same day. The next morning they called me said sorry, but the apartment you wanted to rent wasnt actually available, all we have is this other apartment thats an extra 100$ a month, but it has vaulted ceilings. By the way your app fee is completely non-refundable. This is called in sales terms a bait and switch, and it is quite illegal. Stay away from here unless you can afford well above what you are quoted.
I have been here since the beginning! Moved away for a year and have been back for 4 years now. My apt is on the first floor facing Ralph McGill Blvd and have never had problems. Compared to the outrageous prices in the area Century Skyline is by far a bigger bang for my buck. Plus Im excited about the new work out room next to the rooftop pool. I constantly travel for work and like that I dont have to worry about getting to the airport since MARTA is right around the corner.
I agree with a couple of the previous comments, some of the tenants here could use some work. But thats honestly not something the management can control 100% of the time, like how are they to know that people are going to suck when theyre signing a new lease? Nonetheless, the management does its best to bring certain issues to our attention and tries to control violations. This is my second year living here and I can honestly say that I dont have much to complain about. The staff has always been nice to me, maintenance requests have been answered at an appropriate time, and I feel relatively safe here. (Even with it being a block down from all of the homeless people that reside on Courtland) Our rent was increased when we renewed the lease, but thats something that many other apartment buildings do as well. So all in all, were pretty content here. Just thought I would write a decent review, cause why not? Mad people write reviews all the time.
New management is very nice and they are working well with me with the problems that my roommates and I have been having. Very cool place
Good location, nice apartments, but it’s apparent they skimped on some details
This has been a completely horrible experience for me. High rent fluctuations. Horrible neighbors. Homeless people sleeping in the hallway. No security. My car was broken into. Then the leasing office manager tried to argue with me about it. She told me to “just file an insurance claim”. As if it was not reoccurring issue that other tenants had been having. Power out in whole building frequently. Office oversight when my packages got delivered they wouldn’t give them to me. All of the entrances are broken which means ANYBODY can walk right up to your door. NOT WORTH 1800$. Completely unsafe. Do not move here.
I have lived at Century Skyline for almost two years now and would like to update my review of the complex.During the last few months, a plethora of problems has arisen that has really dulled my experience in this apartment complex.* The Airbnb / Rental service has brought in a lot of guests that do not live here permanently and that are generally here to party for music festivals, concerts, sporting events etc. They are loud on weekends and week nights.-->** Due to the first problem, the apartment above mine has been rented out several times and I have had to call security at odd hours late night/morning to file complaints. I called the office a few weeks ago to make a complaint and they told me that they would follow up with me. I never heard back from them.* The pool and entire rooftop deck have been locked off for over two weeks now. The rooftop deck is arguably the best attraction / feature of the complex. This came with ZERO warning or explanation from management. If the pool is under maintenance, this shouldnt be a reason to lock the entire rooftop deck (lounge chairs, grills, etc.) Savannah Midtown for instances closes only their pool off and allows residents to use the deck still when they have maintenance issues.* There is sooooo much trash laying around the building in the public areas. While I do see it getting cleaned up frequently, a lot of trash remains in the stairwells and stays there for several days at times. This causes a lot of odors that arent pleasant.* The fire alarm keeps getting pulled at random times throughout the night. It was pulled four Mondays in a row at different times ranging from 2AM - 6AM. I cannot over-exaggerate the unpleasantness of being awoken by that God Awful noise on a Monday morning. This seems like it could be a quick fix with more cameras throughout the building pointed at the hallway alarm switches.* The parking deck seems to have gotten much worse lately when it comes to traffic. People keep parking to get locks off of the fence in the middle of the roadway which blocks traffic really bad going in and out of the gate. I assume this is Airbnb rental guests coming to get their keys. Management needs to create and enforce rules mandating that guests park in the guest spots and then obtain their keys rather than block up traffic.* The cardio center on the top floor does not have air conditioning for some reason. It is now May and temperatures are reaching 90 degrees. This makes the gym almost unusable. Also, I made a simple request that an actual light switch or timer light be installed in the cardio center, as the motion sensor allows the lights to go off within 1 minute and can only be activated if youre directly in front of it. This request was ignored and got no response.I do want to add the good things about the complex while Im typing.* The location is great. E-Scooters are everywhere and accessible which makes all of midtown/downtown mere minute rides from the apartment.* The pool / deck is incredible with great views (when open; as per above)* The management is really nice and courteous. They always speak in the hallways and are nice in the office.
This is a great place to live! The office staff is great, maintenance is awesome and the location is near everything.
I loved Century Skyline until about two weeks ago when new management took over. I dont feel safe anymore. Ive been aggressively approached and harassed by one of the security officers that works at the apartments and no one will do anything about it to keep me safe. My friend was with me one time and even she felt threatened. I can just be sitting by the poolside and if Im alone or with another female, he will find me and do things to make us afraid. Once I went to the office about it, and the new manager justified what he was doing, saying that she will talk to him about the right way to approach a resident. But that is not my most worrisome issue. My biggest fear is what he is capable of. He may even have a key to my apartment, but I dont know. I sat and cried, shaking because I was scared, and tried to explain it to the new manager, but three days later I still have not heard a word back from her. She said she would reach out to Coorporate, but I havent heard from them either. I am only 24 and live alone with no family in Atlanta, so Im very afraid and wish someone would give me answers. Apparently my friend a few other residents have gone to the manager about concerns this week and also have gotten the runaround and no answers. So be careful about moving here if you are concerned about safety.
I want to like living here so much... but it’s one thing after another with this place! I love the views, the location is great, and the rooftop pool is awesome in the summer! That’s it for pros.Cons: First of all I’ve been here less than 6 months and we’ve had 3 different management companies, 3 building wide fire alarm warnings that lasted longer than 30mins, and a suicide in the building. Each new management company keeps changing policies that were promised perks. Like package pick-up (this new company no longer accepts packages) the last company changed the pool rules. Not only that but there is a serious bug problem here. Every single person I’ve met in the building, except 1 has a gnat problem... I don’t keep any food on my counters and still, they are everywhere! I have done all the recommendations, including pouring bleach down my drain regularly (seems ridiculous I’ve never had to do that before anywhere else I’ve ever lived) they also claim the have pest control, which you automatically pay for in addition to your rent, but they only come when you sign up for it weekly. I also periodically spot dead roaches in halls, there are many gaps in doors to the roof so I’m sure it’s easy for them to get into the building and I’ve spotted 4 in the less than 6 mo in my apartment and I have them come spray almost every week!!! I am a very clean person and I don’t leave food out or dirty dishes. I lived in FL and MN and haven’t had this many bug issues ever!My last complaint is cleanliness of the stairwells and halls. The halls are often littered with dead roaches or small pieces of trash, my guess is that they probably only vacuum once a month or maybe every two weeks... it’s not enough. The stairwells can only be described as disgusting, there is trash, old/dried vomit, animal urine/feces and all kinds of nasty stains in the stairwells. This building is advertised as luxury apartments but don’t be fooled by the nice cheap upgrades within the apartment, there are many underlying and disturbing problems with this place. I just want to warn any potential residents of what they’re getting into!
Office never answers phone for tenants and when they do they are unwilling to talk. Charges for every service request, even the ones we were promised were free. Staff never communicates issues well, always blames tenant for possible billing issue or for issues with the apartment. Staff installed a toilet incorrectly so it leaked onto the floor, causing the water bill to skyrocket to nearly $300. Will not accept that its their fault for improper installation and are trying to send it to collections 10 months later. DO NOT RENT HERE.
Great apartments! I love the features of the homes inside. lovely downtown views
If I could give 0 stars, I would. As other reviewers said, this place is A TRAP and a JOKE! There is no maintenance, an incompetent team with a manager who will be very nice to get you in, and after a couple months the problems arise!Once they know that you like your apartment, then they raise the price: 7% this year for NO REASON!No improvement in maintenance, no upgrade in apartments!!! Thats unacceptable for this type of apartment and location. They seem to forget that they are close to a shelter and not in Midtown so their prices should be lower!!!!Also, no negotiation possible, they are hiding behind a computer for rates!!!DO NOT RENT HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
This place is the worst apartment ever. If you value your money and comfort please go elsewhere. The office staff is very rude anytime you go into the office. Every time you walk in they give you a look of disgust. Friendly customer service and care is non-existent. Also, the maintenance here is terrible. Ive called about the same issue in my apartment 4 times, and yet, the problem still exists. The amenities here are also terrible. The gym barely has any equipment, the pool is disgusting, and the garage is terrible. They waste time pressure washing the garage when they should be focused on other things like keeping us satisfied. Nevertheless, the only times that Ive talked to them was when they wanted my payment or they towed my car away because they had to pressure wash the garage. Literally the only thing they focus on is keeping the garage clean, which never works out. Security here is also a joke. The officer is very rude when trying to file a noise complaint and the security officer just sits in her car all night long. Ive had my motorcycle stolen from here at night when there was supposed to be a security guard working at night. Also, the security cameras dont even work. This apartment even went further with their terrible security by taking away the ability for residents to contact the security officer. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS APARTMENT.
This property is poorly ran and the front office is incompetent. I submitted an application two weeks ago to get approved for an apartment I absolutely loved at a great rate. I followed up several times before and after submitting my application and was told that everything was fine and my application was pending approval. Mind you I was provided an amazing quote and fell in love with the place and assumed the prices were lower because the homeless shelter down the street. I call back today and was told my apartment was reserved and they were just waiting on rental history from my current apartment. Then two hours later, the person working on my application (Yolanda) who I just spoke with on Thursday told me they could no longer honor my quote because my application wasnt approved and now the unit was going for $200 more!!! They purposely waited until the rates increased to tell my why my application was being held up to try and rent the unit at a higher rate. Absolutely horrible and will be sure to tell anyone who asks to not live there!
Couldnt even get past the first phone call inquiring about an apartment. One of the managers Mr. Corey was the biggest dick I have ever talked to!I asked about security and instead of simply answering straight forward about the smart key access ha told me my questions were rambling. He was EXTREMELY rude and talked down to me as if I was a peasant annoying him. This place doesnt even employ an ACTUAL security team. Only an APD officer who lives on site and works during the day. At night if someone is blasting music he says I can call her. Right. So at 4 a.m. when there is loud rap music Im supposed to call this cop who lives there and wake her up when she has to work in the a.m.If this is how they treat you when youre trying to view an apartment I can only imagine how fun living there would be.Hey Mr. Corey.... youre a prick-
Ive lived at Century Skyline since 2014. The buildings location is great - easy access to everything you need, but the block is pretty quite. The community is walkable to Publix, MARTA, parks, Peachtree Street. A quick drive down Piedmont - youre in midtown; a quick walk west - youre in the core of Downtown; a short drive east - youre at Ponce City Market and the Atlanta Beltline. The building was built in the mid-late 2000s, so you get amenities and finishes that were popular then (black appliances, laminate wood floors opposed to todays stainless steel and LVT.) It has been a slow process, but the owners have made progress in updating amenities (rooftop fitness center, tenant lounge) and theyre finally replacing that dated pastel paint job with something more contemporary. Parking is abundant for residents and guests, and I dont have many concerns about safety.Management (old and new) is usually quick and effective with my maintenance requests. Theyve been doing a much better job lately with programming. Residents and janitorial could do a better job if maintaining the grounds and picking up after pets. Its not a bad place to live for the price, but considering all the new competition thats been built since 2012, we could tighten a few things up.
I would first like to state how excited I was to be moving into this community, after working with Tiffany, who was a joy and very helpful in finding a unit for me, a lovely one bedroom with a patio/balcony and view of the courtyard, I told her I loved the unit, patio, view, everything and seeing the property I knew this was the place for me. The exact unit I would be leasing was not available for some time to be viewed, but after seeing the model I was confident in what I was getting. In preparation to move this upcoming Monday July 31st, I decided to drop in to see the unit in which I felt would be in the condition to be shown, upon entering I immediately noticed the patiot/balcony I was so eager to relax on in the very near future, was not there. Needless to say I was not happy, since I was very vocal in telling her how much i loved it. The manager on duty saw a unit would be coming available on the 20th of August and if I would like it said she would keep my rental amount the same and I would be able to lease the new unit. As Im sure you can imagine this news was very disheartening, frustrating, and disappointing, after contacting my current property about extending my rental time, i was told it was possible and relayed this information to the young lady in the office (Shaline I believe), as we were discussing the unit another associate (male) informed Shaline (sp) the unit had been leased earlier that day, another let down. Shaline then found another unit coming available on the 25th of August, the time was a bit after 5pm, so I informed I would try to sort out my living arrangements and contact her in the morning. This morning (approx. 11am) upon receiving a new amount for my current property, I called Century Skyline to get the total amount I would need to pay to move in on the 25th of August, Jamahl informed me he was in the office alone and would have to get back to me with that information later. I called the office back at 4pm, Jamahl at that time informed me of a price but quickly told me I couldnt move in on the 25th of August because of a close out day, after my 3rd time being placed on hold Shaline returned to tell me i would have to move in on Saturday the 26th of August, instead. So not only am I having to try a 3rd time to extend my contract, I am having to pay approximately 250 extra dollars to your property and stay longer than initially planned, what was suppose to be a $1500 move in is now upwards of $1700, on top of the additional funds for my current location. This was a very lovely experience turned extremely sour, Im so disappointed before I ever even turned my key.Also...once i moved in (finally on the 25Aug) I had a quick 3day trip to take and went grocery shopping prior to, Only to arrive home to a warm refrigerator....smh. After throwing almost $230 of groceries away, hoping to receive a refrigerator the following day, (only to be told a week later that this company does not compensate for the loss of groceries, but the will give me a $50 gift card 🙃. Smh such a mess...im a hard sleeper, but when i am awake, this place is so loud, you can hear everything, even when your neighbor turns on their shower.
AVOID AVOID AVOID.Obnoxious neighbors, terrible maintenance, and the worst management Ive ever seen. The entire property is in disrepair, requests dont get resolved, and the amenities are often closed/off-limits with no explanation given. That includes the pool, which is often out of service because one of your stupid neighbors broke glass in it.Dont be like me and sign a lease here. Its been 2 and a half years of almost daily regret. The only ting good about this place is the location, but even that is dubious thanks to the crowds of homeless that surround the place at all hours of the day.
Overall my experience has been good here. Its a good price for being so close to downtown and the amenities you get (pool, gym, garden area with grills). They also have a program to put on social events each month. When i had issues with other tenants noise, the staff sent notices which helped remind the tenants to quiet down.Pros:1.nice management staff2. good price3. quick fixes on maintenance issues (they dont charge for fixes)4. nice apartmentsCons:1. thin walls and ceilings so you can hear your neighbors music or dogs2. a couple homeless people (its downtown, theres going to be homeless people) but dont cause problems3. Noise from cars on piedmont and ralph mcgill. Ive gotten used to this, but still notice the motorcycles and muscle cars reving their engines
I so badly want to like this place. I love my apartment. Everything else is at the mercy of the staff and the staff is incompetent.
Do NOT stay here!!!!!!! I stayed here for a year and it was the worst place to call a home. Even though they advertise a safe and gated community, the homeless shelter is a block away and there were multiple car breakins. The gate was often not working, the hallways and elevators constantly smell like drugs, and there were also multiple resident arrests for who knows what. The building has a poorly kept gym with missing equipment, stairwells with shattered lights and roaches, and unemptied trash rooms that dont get cleaned for weeks. The staff is horribly incompetent and neglectful with their assistant manager, Corey, being the worst. He is exceptionally rude and condescending. This complex has a nice view but that did not outweigh the negatives. I am much happier after moving out from this overpriced regret.
Very noisy location if is not the dogs cross the street is the neighbors who always run a party. Front office is doing nothing about it
There was blood and vomit stains on the stairs in the stairwell.
Nice midtown apartment complex
In the 2 years I lived here I saw the management change over 4 different times, between the horrible Tennants, incompetent management, and deathtrap of a parking deck this is hands down the worst place Ive called home in my 26 years living in Atlanta, I would never recommend anyone renting here, they may be priced like all the new complexes being built in the area but they are not even close to a comparable level of class or value.
I live there lol.
