Central Heating & Air is the absolute best HVAC company in metro-Atlanta. My realtor recommended them, and Im so grateful she did. Dakota, Reggie, and Fernando went above and beyond in addressing a challenge I was having in my home with high indoor humidity, despite another company having waterproofed my crawlspace and other steps taken. Instead of responding with a generic list of services they offer, like so many other companies, Dakota and his colleagues took on the issues with my house as if they were as invested as my family in solving the puzzle. They didnt over-sell or over-promise. They explained the different options and the pros and cons of each thoroughly. When performing the work, they were extremely nice and professional, as well as patient and gracious in answering my many questions. Afterward, they checked in to see how the measures they took were working out. And, best of all, they solved the problem - something two other companies were unable to do! Im just so grateful to Central for their high-quality work and professionalism and for making my house a much more pleasant place to live. Thank you!

I originally contacted Central Heating for the replacement of my AC unit at my house. My AC unit was diagnosed by some other company before and I was given a quotation for the replacement. I called Central on Tuesday and Dakota came out to give the quotation on Wednesday morning. After listening to what the problem with my unit was, Dakota suggested that I have the technician to check my AC unit before replacing it, because my AC unit might not need to be replaced based on his professional opinion. He was able to make an arrangement for Robert to come out and check the unit a few hours later. After thorough examination of my unit, Robert was able to find out the motor was wired incorrectly by my previous repairman and fixed the problem immediately. Now my AC works just fine. I was pleasantly surprised by Centrals honesty and professionalism. Central did not sell the unit this time but they gained my trust, and I will definitely call them again when I need any service or the replacement on my AC unit eventually.

Is my previous review informed of an issue that I could not resolve with this company however they have resolved it a day after seeking help, unfortunately i went a bit without ac and it was hot 🔥... they have advised in their reply that they did print their number on my documents but i signed up for renewal online and never recieved documents therefore never had the number... but on the positive note, all their workers are excellent, knowledge and never try to sell you anything. They are true professionals and, minus this one experience, i never had an issue. Kudos to Karl [still havent seen again but he was the best], Ben, Martinez, and the ventilation specialist. Still recommend.

My initial call was an on Monday right near 5 o’clock but a real person answered, no recordings or phone prompts, and the Lady I spoke with was very professional and thorough. She was able to get us scheduled for that Wednesday in the window of time we needed. Our tech, Jimmy, was great: on time, very professional, thorough, and personable, and quickly diagnosed the issue, explained it thoroughly, and handled my questions well, and also repaired and cleaned our units quickly.

The team at Central recommended switching from two HVAC systems (upstairs/downstairs) to a single larger zoned system. The install team was very professional and the system has been awesome for the 5 years since we installed it. Recently, a part died on our compressor. Central sent out a tech next day, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the part a few days later under warranty. While it took a few days to fix, Central went above and beyond and removed the needed part from a brand new compressor rather than waiting for the new part from the manufacturer. I would highly recommend to anyone that need a new system or HVAC service or maintenance.

On Friday afternoon we had routine inspection and maintenance on our AC systems. We have had a contract with Central which covered this. Cleaning in included hosing both units. Service man left saying all was well.Saturday it seemed a bit warm downstairs but blamed it on doing laundry so didnt check the thermostat. A rainy evening before bedtime was comfortable in the house as we had a fan on.By Sunday morning we realized that the downstairs was not cooling and on inspection I noticed the outside unit was not working. An Emergency call ended up with a $476 price to replace the Breaker switch on the outside unit.Coincidence? !!I got no satisfaction after speaking to management at Central, and no explanation of breakdown of costs other than included overhead. The part was purchased at Home Depot, the unit is Trane.

I just had two units replaced in my house and could not be happier with Central Heating & Air. They did great work at a competitive price. The crew showed up on time and completed my job as promised.I recommend Central Heating and Air and I definitely use them again.

Our install crew of Devin, Fernando and Alan were highly professional and did an amazing, and fast, job of removing our old system and installing our new furnace and AC units. They communicated clearly and left no trace that they had been there. Our house was spotless after they were done. Our new system is incredible! Our home has never been this comfortable. Central installed and has serviced our furnace and air conditioning for several years. They always do great work, and last Friday they went over and above. After having our gas logs replaced and chimney flue relined, we needed new connections to vent the furnace and hot water heater into the liner. The work required HVAC professionals. We called Central late Friday, hoping to get it repaired before Monday. Going above and beyond, Customer Service Rep Lexi Stewart had someone here late that afternoon. Had Don not fixed this connection, we wouldnt have had hot water all weekend! Thanks, Lexi and Central.

My two AC units was working. We used their service for an annual tune up and they checked and said everything is good. But, one day later, one of the two AC units stopped working. We have to replace one unit. It is very bad experience and we can no longer trust them.

Don and Eric came out to replace a dehumidifier in my crawlspace. They were prompt, kind, and very efficient. Don took the time to explain the entire process to me, left no mess behind, and even re-attached some duct work unrelated to the job that had fallen out of place from work performed by other contractors. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process with Don and Eric and will continue to be a Central customer in the years ahead.

The experience with getting AC UNIT replaced was top of the line from initial contact to Central’s customer service who was able to provide appointment the same day with Mike. Mike did an awesome job explaining options and detailing the age of both units with recommendations. The technician didn’t know how to fix the issue but I still had to pay a fee.

Steve Harrelson came out to check two issues, one each in our two HVAC zones. He was able to arrive EARLY and called to ask if I was available, used Covid precautions, was extremely professional. Gave us results I was expecting on one issue, even though it was bad news. He offered alternative solutions and set us up for maintenance contracts. The service provided and costs associated with the maintenance contract are very competitive. Very satisfied with the technician and service.

Bill was on-time, very professional and took care of our issue quickly and efficiently. The ability to book after hours via online chat was a huge help too. They were at my home in less than 24 hours. I will recommend them and use them again.

They have replaced the upstairs and downstairs systems, plus they upgraded the routing of my upstairs ductwork to provide consistent temperatures in every room and to reduce the noise level overall.They do great work and are very trustworthy people. I highly recommend this team.

Richard G arrived at my house early. He soon identified why my A/C compressor was not running. He offered me choices in how to solve the problem; and when I chose the more complex solution, he started immediately to replace the old power supply with a new one. In spite of the heat, he remained cheerful and professional; and he continued until the A/C was working again. Richard is a good reason to call Central Heating and Air Conditioning for service.

Just wanted to thank the team for first class service .Our main floor A/C failed early hours Monday morning, service tech arrived by 10 am, confirmed unit was terminal .Sales arrived by 1pm to discuss our options, confirmed availability of equipment .Install team arrived as planned 10:30 am Tuesday, the guys had the complete new system installed and operational by 2:30 pm Tuesday ( Mike from sales also came by to make sure all was well ) .End to end service does not get any better than this !!!!!

The young man was very professional and knowledgeable. He was punctual, clean and respected my dwellings by using his shoe covers and knocking each time he needed to gain entrance into the home. I am requesting that this young man be the only person to service my unit. There should be more people like this young man representing companies servicing the community. ( if Im not mistaken, I think his name was Richard)

We had to have a new HVAC unit placed in our attic. Ugh. I have a pull down attic ladder and these guys didnt bat an eye. They trekked up and down three flights of stairs for close to eight hours. They wore masks and gloves and wiped down knobs and light switches as they left. They put tarps down on the stairs for protection. I dont have a single hesitation in recommending Central Heating and Air.

We called the emergency number on a Sunday because our furnace was not heating. Mike D responded to our emergency call promptly and was at our house 30 minutes later. He was prompt, professional and courteous. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and explained it to us in a way we could understand. Our house was warm and comfortable in a few minutes. I had a great experience with Central. My air unit was old and not repairable. They were able to get out the same day for a quote and even let me borrow a portable air unit until they could get back out to replace. I could tell they cared about me as a person rather than just another sales call in the books.The sales person that came out was very knowledgeable and showed me what I needed. I had another company out and the option they offered was bigger than what I needed, would have cost more, and could have led to other problems down the road. Having a sales person educate me and recommend what I should have instead of what makes them the most money is so important to me and the Central Heating and Air sales rep did that.I would recommend Central to anyone who wants an honest company that is fair and trustworthy! 11/10 for my review! They have made a customer for life!

My wife and I have both found them to be the absolute best, bar none! The quality, courtesy and reliability of their service is consistently outstanding, and their pricing very reasonable and highly competitive! We just this last week had one of our AC units die on Saturday and they had a new Carrier Comfort AC Unit professionally installed and incorporated into one of our existing HVAC systems by a crew of 3 great workers on Monday, starting at 10:00 AM and completing the job in the early afternoon. They completely cleaned up after the job including removing the old AC unit. We couldnt have been happier with their job! The office support staff is fantastic as well.

The staff members in the office were professional and pleasant every time I called. Dakota spent a lot of time with me answering every question I had and we discussed the best ways to increase the comfort in my home. Jose and Luis did a fantastic job installing my new A/C unit, furnace, ductwork, and insulation. They checking in with me before, during, and after the install to make sure everything was what I had requested. Karl was super helpful as he made sure my home is more energy efficient and at the exact comfort level I want. David came by to review the work when it was all finished and answered all the remaining questions I had. The entire process was smooth and rewarding. I had several issues with the original HVAC system in my 34-year-old home and this newly installed system resolves all those problems. I highly recommend this company. They have terrific HVAC products but even more impressive is the knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff.

My air conditioner froze up and I called Central Heating and Air which was recommended by a co-worker. Michael came out to repair my air conditioner and did a great job. He was very thorough and able to pin point the problem. He took his time during my appointment and explained everything he was doing and kept me informed with pricing. I will request him again, when it comes time for my maintenance call.

Kenneth Johnson was extremely knowledgeable and approachable. He designed a customized plan to improve air efficiency in our home. He took the time to explain the process and reasoning for the design and was a good communicator. The installation team led by Devin was excellent. They were hard working, prompt, and courteous.

My Tech Dakota was well within the time block and very Courteous and Professional. He performed some extra services while here and I felt very satisfied that my A/C will run smoothly for the next few years.

Derek Christian did the annual check up of my heating system today. He Also replaced a gas pipe and put in 2 surge protectors, all in the same visit! He is very knowledgeable and professional. I’ve used this company twice now. Very quick response times and rather fair pricing. Derek has serviced my house both times (I requested him the second time) and he actually cares about making sure your home is comfortable. He walks you through everything he is or will do. He doesn’t try to have you buy unnecessary things or pressure you into their service package. In all, this is the only company I’ll use and Derek is one of the best. Use. This. Company.

Had problems with my air conditioning unit. Had a very good experience with this company. If possible, ask for Mike D. He was very through with his job and had extensive knowledge. He was able to explain any issues or questions me or my family had. The technician worked in a timely fashion and was respectful of our property as well. 2 stars for a very friendly and “kind of professional” tech who came to my house within 2 hours from the moment I made the phone call.. unfortunately, the easy fix that suppose to be changing a $40 part became $400 plus. The visit cost of $90, amount that was offer by the reception included the job for the diagnostic. Though for what ever reason once the part was replaced the bill became $400 plus.. it took 10 minutes for the fix.. I was present at all time.In addition, a visit from Chris Andrews was made following the fix, to make an estimate for replacing our old unit; such quote came for a whooping $10,000, when a competitor “Trane” made a quote for $6,000 for same size units..it was a reap off..

Had a positive experience with the company and in particular senior service technician Derek Christian. Only a routine issue with my AC, but Derek came out the same day I called and was back the next day to install the necessary part. Derek was especially professional regarding physical distancing practices necessitated by the current covid-19 pandemic.

I phoned in this morning to schedule my semi-annual service. I spoke with Lexi and she was so very pleasant and helpful. I asked Lexi if the company serviced the Decatur area. After checking the address there, Lexi told me that they did not service the area normally, but since I had an existing account, the company would service my property there. I have never called in to Central Heating and Air and had any problems. The technicians that come to my home are always very professional. I would certainly recommend Central Heating and Air.

We have been customers with Central Heating & Air Conditioning since 1981 having the annual Maintenance Contract. Today, our technician was Michael Detzler, and he could not have been better! Technicians in the past years have been excellent, but we thought he was superior. After almost 39 years, we highly recommend this company!

Recently used Central Heating & Air Conditioning to service a unit for my investment property. Their technician struggled to complete the task on his own due to a lack of knowledge and tools. He was only able to complete his task with the assistance of my employee and tools. The front office refused to acknowledge his inability to complete the service request and did not offer any type of reimbursement or discount.

I have a yearly maintenance contract and have received very thoughtful and experienced service calls and equipment repair/ replacement without any price gauging. Derek has been my service agent for the past few years. He is courteous and takes the time to walk you through the repairs. This is why I renew my yearly maintenance contract.

Technician Jeremy showed up at my house and covered my carpeted stairs with nice foot stains. I called the front office to tell them about it and received a Sorry about that. Im sorry I paid you $99 to leave stains on my carpet and grease on my front door from Jeremy. Going to RS Andrews next time. Jeremy told me he had many theories to what might be wrong and that really concerned me. Arent you the professional here? What are you talking about theories for? Although the quote you gave me wasnt a theory, you knew exactly what to charge from the first minute. AWFUL !!!!

Robert serviced our A/C unit this afternoon. It was an expensive repair as the unit is in its golden years and the refrigerant is quite expensive. Robert explained the options of a new unit as opposed to the band-aid repair. Were crossing our fingers that the leak is small and we will make it till winter so we can then replace the unit. We are new to the South and central air. Robert Explained the entire system, changed the filter, programmed our thermostat, discussed insulation, the addition of a second zone and an additional return. There was no pressure to make any immediate updates. The office staff - Michelle and Natalie were delightful. Thank you all.

Supervisor Robert Martinez completed my coil replacement in my HVAC unit and did a perfect job. Customer Service Manager Dana was also excellent and she made sure my family and I were taken care of. I double checked their work and they not only fixed my leaking coils, they improved my system overall. I have been seeing Robert M. for the past few years as my service rep. He is friendly, professorial, and very knowledgeable. The home office support is also friendly and efficient.

During the bitter cold of winter, we found ourselves without heat. We called Central and received a quick response, thorough diagnostic check and a kind, courteous and professional technician. The repair was done and he even made recommendations outside of the scope of the service call that could enhance the indoor air quality of our home and, hopefully, maximize the life expectancy of the system. I am Team Central all the way!

Conroy came around and figured out our problem with relative ease. He didnt hv a part he needed in his van and got hold of another driver and was back in a few minutes part in hand. Bit more troubleshooting and our system was operational again. Conroy was forthcoming in his communication and I highly recommend Central Heating and Air due to his excellent service.

Central Heating & Air did a great job helping us. Our relatively new A/C unit purchased elsewhere developed a problem and Central had someone out to diagnose the problem the same day we called! We had our A/C back up and running the next day. Dakota, our tech, was professional and very knowledgeable.

I needed to have some work done on my HVAC unit asap. Michelle was able to dispatch a Technician named Dakota who arrived to my home within two hours. Dakota was very professional, courteous and most of all he provided education on aspects of my HVAC unit that I was not aware of. The price for the work was very reasonable as well.
