Laptop was looked at on same day I brought it in. Diagnosis was precise, rather than general. Repair needed identified at that time, with cost and delivery time. I received laptop back at stated time and at stated cost.......Have used these folks in the past and will, as needed, in the future.

My computer power system failed damaging the hard drive. Christopher very patiently worked with the hard drive to retrieve my data. He built me a new computer with everything I needed and uploaded all of my old files- and there were a lot of those. He was patient and understanding of my concerns and very helpful with the selection of things I needed in the new computer. Very fast turn around as well. Really appreciate him and his lovely staff.

Timely rescue of my screwed up pcthanks

Christopher was thorough, patient, knowledgeable, and precise. He solved my problem--which had kept me offline for weeks--quickly. And didnt charge the world for his services. His North Asheville location avoids the worst of the traffic and that is a big plus for me.

Laptop came back from a screen repair weeks after they said it would be done. Had a different screen with worse resolution than my old one, even though the issue was with the screen wire that connects to the motherboard. Old screen wasnt cracked or damaged in any way, but it still came back with a worse screen. They lost my charger I gave them with my laptop, and so gave me a loaner charger with the wrong wattage. Now when I turn on my laptop, there is a message that says there was a permanent battery failure, which it had never said before until I got it back from them.

Crazy situation, I walked into Christopher’s Computers to find a disgruntled employee. His first words were I have not had a raise since I started working here. Next he said that the owner had not been onsite in over a year. He literally glanced in the direction of my laptop he said, don’t know when, and he really implied IF he’d get to it. I did make an appointment (maybe it was through a scheduling/answering service. I picked up my laptop and left.

I have always had a great experience with Christopher and Christophers Computers! They have fixed keyboards that had coffee and orange juice poured onto them. I have twice now purchased 2 brand new computers from them and am extremely pleased with my purchases. And each Spring, Christopher runs a special on spring cleaning your computer to update it, clean out any viruses, etc. This year he did it remotely. As always, Christopher is very helpful, is able to explain things to me (a computer illiterate person), professional, and just a nice guy.

I needed a new CD drive in my laptop, Christopher gave me quote for the work needed to get it back up and running, the price was reasonable enough for me to repair my 4 year old computer rather than buy a new one. The front desk was very knowledgeable and I felt like my issue would be addressed accordingly after leaving my custom desktop at their store. They resolved my failing hard drive issue very promptly and I was able to pickup my PC later that same day.

Computer came back with cooling fan not working. They wouldnt make it right. Took 2 days to get back to me. Just an awful experience and waste of money. Owner replied stating that they would correct the issue, but when I called back I was told that they would not cover the fan by the lady on the phone. Once again do not go here.

I really wish I could give this place a good review because of how friendly and reasonably priced they were. Also, they let me use a loaner computer which was incredibly helpful as Im in school. But ultimately, I dont feel like they did a good job of fixing my computer, which is kind of the point.I brought it in because the screen wouldnt turn on. I started feeling a little apprehensive about their quality when they had to call me a day or two after I dropped it off to remind them of what was wrong with it and what my log-in information was, even though I, of course, had told them both of those things when I dropped it off. It seemed kind of spacey and disorganized. They did, however, give me options for the price of replacing the screen, one brand new and one a little bit used, which I thought was pretty neat. Its very thoughtful to accommodate different budgets.When they were done fixing it, I picked it up and brought it home, but when I turned it on for the first time....the screen still wasnt working. I tried many times to turn it on, and nothing. So I had to bring it all the way back only for them to tell me they couldnt replicate the problem and it was working fine. So I picked it up again, and found that the screen was working this time, except....the screen is actually falling out of the computer. So yes, the screen does work now, but every time I open up the computer I have to push it back into place. It feels very precarious. It also just confuses me given how long they had it, because as soon as I opened up the computer, the screen was falling out. Shouldnt they have noticed? On top of that, I asked them to replace the black pads underneath the computer, which they did, but within two days, one had already fallen off, and within a week, two had fallen off. Im not treating the computer poorly. Im not jostling it or putting it in a backpack or anything. It just stays in one place on my desk. I thought of calling them as soon as I got home and noticed the screen was falling out, but at this point, I dont feel trusting that theyll fix the problem and I dont want to have to bring it back in for a third time.Maybe my experience was a fluke because they seem well-reviewed, but the slight disorganization, the fact that I had to bring it in twice, the fact that they fixed one problem only to create another, and that the black pads they replaced have already fallen off all really bum me out.

Had a processor installed and an ssd card. Processors rgb lighting was not plugged into motherboard and simply put back in the box. Received computer back with one of the cooling fans not working. After 2 days finally received a callback stating it was working when it left, although it literally did not work upon plugging it up. Awful experience. Go somewhere else even if you have to pay a little more.

Jamie is very knowledgeable, I know a bit about computers myself, but its still nice to have someone put it together that has experience doing it. he let me in the back and we talked about computers and gaming, if I mentioned something that he may have missed he was careful to make sure it got fixed. Even if you are an IT expert, I would recommend this place.

They had my computer longer then I anticipated but more than made up for it by giving me a discount and doing extra work on it. My computer is running beautifully and their communication was above and beyond. I would highly recommend using this mom and pop shop instead of giving your money to big corporations. Did you know - they fix Macs! I recently took my 2010 Macbook in because it was running slower and slower and I couldnt stand the spinning pinwheel of death for another second. Christopher gave me a few different options at different price points. I was able to double my memory, plus they cleaned it all up, and it was a fraction of the price I was quoted at the OTHER neighborhood place. Also, they were very patient and considerate in working with me so I wouldnt have to be computer-less for any longer than necessary. HUGE plus if you work for yourself.

Im never going back. Ive taken two computers there in 2 years. The first I had bought at Best Buy and didnt want to wait for them to fix. When here and they told me my hard drive was lost and they put in a new one. The computer never worked right after that and I had to take it to Best Buy anyway. Couple of days ago my laptop was running slow. Brought it in and took them longer to look at it then they said. Then they told me the removed background programs that were making it slow. When I got home there were many more NEW background programs on it making it run even slower. A photo program I had on it was also erased. Im sorry but this place is a waste of money and trust.

Ive been to Christophers twice. Im 73 I do foolish things with my computer. I responded to an alert from who I thought was Charter and it turned out to be a hacker from God knows where that I actually let into the computer. I know my kids have already said it. Not only did Christophers not make me feel stupid, there were very kind and sent home lots of info on who not to give information to. They fixed the problem. Three months later I melted my fan. They installed a new one and now the computer runs better than it did when it was new. They are wonderful people to deal with . they get your machine back to you fast and they are honest

They charge me $170.00 for an incorrect diagnosis, followed by an unnecessary repair, and denied me a refund. When I brought it back the receptionist told me it was their policy to refund or take care of the problem that they diagnosed. However, I left the computer with them for another day. When I picked up the computer and still wasnt fixed, Christopher told me that the problem was not fixable. When I asked him about a refund on the initial repair (which was not the problem) he said that I had needed it so there was no refund. Unfortunately I rolled over at that point and just said okay. But now Im looking at my double digit checking account, and my screen keeps shutting off every 20 minutes or so, just like before. Thanks for nothing, team!
