Ive lived here at Mountain View about 3 years. Throughout my time here, Ive enjoyed so many things about this Apartment and community. From the beautiful landscaping to all the wonderful amenities. Even the smallest of details seem cared for. What has truly been the most important and my favorite aspect about living here has been Maegan, Becky and the rest of the staff. No matter how big or small my issues, questions, concerns may have been this team has been nothing but caring, compassionate, and always seems to have my best interest at heart.Thank you so much for all you do and making my experience here better everyday.

I have lived in this community and called it home for 5 years. Small and quaint. Meagan and Becky, two amazing women that handle everything are always there to help. John and Jon in maintenance are always on top of work orders. I would recommend Mountain View apartments to anyone looking for a friendly, quiet and quaint place to call home.

Mountain View apartments has been our home for the past three years. The staff have treated us with respect and kindness. Whenever there was an issue (few and far between), it was promptly resolved. The apartment was beautiful, the view spectacular and the amenities were perfect.. by far our favorite apartment we have ever lived in. We will miss Mountain View and the staff very much.

I want to leave this review because I came from a house and have always, always hated apartments. During Covid I returned to Asheville and landed at Mountain View Apartments in South Asheville. I have been here for over a year now and am constantly amazed at what a real community it is. I have met many people here and have made friends and that wasn’t even intentional or something I was looking for.I have an apartment which is like living in a little house; absolutely beautiful with a view of our temperate rain forest as my back yard. Megan, Becky, Jon and John have all been fantastic and extremely accommodating. They have literally bent over backwards to accommodate me. They have also strived to create a community and have succeeded. They are concerned and caring for us and our environment and reflect the great values Asheville is known for.So, you could live in that other sprawling complex across our little valley; the one that looks just like a huge prison on the railroad tracks, or live in our little village perched on the mountainside. Your choice. A word of advice; do your homework. Know what you want and need. Wait for it to become available. For me it was a western exposure, top floor, corner unit. Also, our management staff here are not gods, they have higher powers to answer to, so be reasonable!Peaceout-

Mountain View is a great place to live with a nice and helpful team. I really enjoyed for being in mountain view in Asheville for more than a year. They were always available to help. It is close to two big shopping centers and bank of America is less than a mile away from you. Mountains are in front of you and you could do so many activities around. Thanks to the wonderful team of mountain view that made me a memorable stay!!

I had a wonderful experience living at Mountain View. The apartments themselves are wonderful, and the Mountain View staff — Maegan, Becky, John, and Jon — really look out for and care about the residents, which is often hard to come by in apartment living. I highly recommend Mountain View for anyone looking for an apartment in the Asheville area.

My husband and I and our Golden Retriever Storm were building a new home in the Ramble. We sold our home in Greenville in one week. We needed a place to live and we found the Mountain View Apartments. We lived there for a year. We actually had views of the mountains from our terrace. The complex has many dogs and is also very, very clean and well kept. We enjoyed our neighbors and Maegan and Becky are so kind and helpful. If we needed something fixed they were on it immediately. I highly recommend the Mountain View Apartments.

I think its a great place to live. I have traveled the country with work and this is by far amongst the best communities. If I may comment on one of the earlier reviews that gave 1 star; we have been here for a long time and know our neighbors. There were kids here (one who gave a 1 star review who wasnt even on the original lease) who refused to work, did not want to work and were defrauding the federal and state governments of valuable covid funds. Not to mention medicaid fraud. They could not pay their rent without defrauding their parents as well. One has an outstanding warrant in an other state. Theres absolutely no excuse for that. I think its high time these covid fraud cases are reported to the fraud division and investigated as felonies, and they are.Goes to show the reader, there are 2 sides to every story. Its always the chicken that cries fowl that is the guilty one.

They save their Google rating by deleting bad reviews, I have firsthand knowledge of multiple reviews just “disappearing”, consistent ageist actions, sharing private information of residents to other residents, and have many more issues. Only thing keeping me, a resident of close to five years, here any longer is trouble finding housing during COVID. The sooner I can leave, the better. Would not recommend to anyone.

I lived at Mountain View for 6 months and would recommend living there. The apartments were clean, safe, spacious, and modern. The staff were professional, friendly, and courteous. They consistently went out of their way to be helpful. They responded rapidly when I had maintenance requests. They held social events that were fun and welcoming. The pool was a highlight for me. It was a great place for single adults as well as parents and children. The location was pretty good. Theres lots to do in the vicinity, grocery shopping is convenient, traffic wasnt great but not awful. I wish there were more sidewalks outside the apartment grounds, but the actual apartment amenities were excellent. The dog park, playground, and community garden were very nice and well maintained. My neighbors were friendly, too. I only left because Asheville wasnt the right fit for me; Mountain View was a great place to live!

Service was continually first class. Maegan and Becky provided tremendous support to my family and I (and our dog) during relocation from Europe to Asheville in the middle of the COVID-19 outbreak. Due to unpredictable travel and several cancelled flights, my lease start date changed multiple over a 3-month period, but they held the apartment for me even through the uncertainty. Finally, I arrived short-notice on a flight 2 weeks earlier than expected and the apartment was immediately made ready for direct entry. Not only was the apartment and complex super comfortable and a beautiful setting; but when we quickly found a house to buy, they helped us to sublease within 2 weeks of my departure. Their support made a huge positive impact on an overall challenging situation.

I’m giving Mountain View Apartments a 3/5 rating. The inside of the apartment is spectacular! I also find the gym and pool both to be in top condition. People who live here are friendly and respectful. I’ve never known of noise to be an issue. If I was only rating this apartment on the things previously mentioned, I would definitely give a 5/5. However, I never can enjoy our balcony due to the fact that there is always a severely potent smell coming from the dog waste bin right in front of our balcony. Even walking from the car to the front door, I often have to hold my breath. In addition to the smell, I also have to be careful not to step on dog poo left behind from neighbors who aren’t responsible enough to pick up after their pets. Yes, I realize that we chose to live in a pet friendly environment, but the dog waste bin could easily be relocated! Oh, have I mentioned the enormous speed bumps? My car was a lot better off before those things were added!

Mountain View is the sixth apartment community in which Ive lived in the last 8 years and I can confidently say that it is, by far, the best of them all.The staff has been nothing but incredibly kind to my family since the very first day, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. In fact, my dog recently caught a stomach bug, and everyone in the office expressed concern for him, Becky even calling me personally to check on him.The grounds are always beautifully landscaped and clean, which is truly a testament to the level of respect for the community held by both tenants and staff. If you have dogs, they will LOVE it here. In addition to the various amenities for tenants to enjoy (a pool, playground, community garden, gym, and lounge in the office), there are waste stations all around the complex, a dog park, a grooming area, and treats and a water bowl in the office! Our fur babies have never been happier. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and the apartments are spacious and modern. We havent had a single problem with our apartment since moving in, but have full confidence that anyone in the office would be more than happy to help if we ever do.If youre looking for an apartment in Asheville, I highly recommend Mountain View!

I moved into Mountain View Apartments in October 2015. I absolutely love the location. I am in the Pisgah model (2/2). I think the amount of storage is amazing (walk in closets in both bedrooms, linen closets in both bathrooms, pantry in the kitchen, and two hall closets as you enter because of me being in a back corner unit). I love the fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms. I found while looking at Apartments, so many new complexes are doing the kitchens nicely then cheaping out in the bathrooms. That isn’t the case here. I like that the complex is on the small side compared to many complexes (149 units, I think). I really like the Valet Waste pick up ($25 a month charge and in my opinion well worth it) and the amenities the complex offers (pool, gym, clubhouse, dog park, community garden, playground, pet salon). I don’t use the amenities often, but I like knowing they are available if and when I want to use them. The complex has resident events periodically, this weekend being an ice cream social! There are several negatives, as I imagine there are with any choice of dwelling. I can occasionally hear my neighbors upstairs. But I’ve found this to be indicative of all apartment living and find it a minor inconvenience compared to the positives. I wish the complex offered garages and a car wash station, but space didn’t allow these. Overall, I am very happy with my apartment and the complex.

I am compelled to write a review for Mountain View Apartments for the exceptional customer service we received from both Meagan and Becky. My husband and I are relocating to Asheville and visited Mountain View looking for an apartment. Meagan made our experience for apartment shopping so stress free. While they didnt have what we needed available, the level of service we received from both ladies was outstanding. If the need for an apartment wasnt so dire, we would be on the waitlist. Thus it is with utmost confidence that I recommend Mountain View apartments for anyone looking for a place to call home. Thank you Meagan and Becky for the outstanding customer service.

To start, I will say that we chose this location during an urgent time for our family and we needed a place quickly. The 3 bedroom apt we rented was poor to say the best. It was dirty and had cobwebs everywhere when we moved in. It was also infested with fleas. We submitted a number of repair requests and only a couple of those were addressed after we reminded them numerous times. Some were never addressed and we just gave up. Neighbors from other buildings would come to our area to let their dogs relieve themselves and never pick it up. The management team seems to not communicate with one another or find it unnecessary to get back to you on items brought to their attention in a timely manner. The manager is poor at his job and does not respond in a timely manner as well. We communicated through mail, phone, voicemail on subjects with most times no response. One mailed communication effort never received a response. It took over 3 weeks to get a phone call back from the manager with a response to an inquiry after calling multiple times. We were also told by staff when we needed to end our lease 2 months early that we would be required to pay the following 2 months lease if and only if the apartment was not rented again. We paid those 2 months as it wasnt rented but then received another bill for another 14 days payment. We questioned this but was told that we were responsible for those last days even though the management team told us otherwise. Feel mislead and that they again do not communicate effectively. The location is a great location to surrounding activities and necessities (only reason they received 2 stars) but management team could be MUCH better. Make sure you have everything in writing before acting on anything management says.

While I understand the one-star reviewers frustrations--I only recently moved in, when the complex is close to being completed--I havent had nearly as negative of an experience. The playground is done, theyre working on the community garden and getting permits for the pool (which is gorgeous) to open. Noise from neighbors is to be expected in a complex of this type--if you want complete peace and quiet, go live in the woods somewhere!I actually find the storage space to be ample for an apartment--walk-in closet in the bedroom, coat closet, pantry, linen closet. And, I use my washer/dryer closet for storage space as I havent opted to buy/rent machines yet. The floor plan and balcony are great and have been working out wonderfully for my toddler and I.The leasing managers Ive dealt with are friendly and do their best to answer questions. I dont know about the Itll be done in two weeks thing. I know theyve dealt with frustrations about deadlines getting pushed back with construction projects and imagine some timelines are hard to predict due to a number of factors. But, everything is almost done, and I cant wait to take advantage of all the amenities.

Nice, but absurd price per square foot. Market prices being comparable doesnt make it a value, when the market is outrageous. Club house is nice, but doesnt justify the rent. I have never walked through a grassy area without finding dog excrement. Parking isnt the worst Ive seen, but it sucks. Train near by seems to come through a lot and it is loud. Recycling dumpster frequently gets picked up at like 4am and makes quite the racket. In all, its good for wealthy retirees and trust fund kids with no bills.Follow up: I got my renewal offer letter and I have no intention of renewing at $1050 per month for a one bedroom apartment. Its absurd and makes the annual exodus going on easily explained. These apartments are unaffordable unless you make well above the average income for a salaried restaurant manager here. I was just below 30% of income when I moved in at $990. This renewal puts that number at 31.5%. If I stayed, next time would likely be closer to 32.2%, then 33%, then 33.5%, 34%..35%..36%..37%..38%..39%..... Why is making 3x the rent important for new residents, if it isnt for renewals? It would seem they [Evolve Managment out of Greensboro] want steady turnover of apartments, or its just greed. Hard to say. I suspect its both and they are trying to maximize profit, before they pay taxes on the property, then they will sell to another company who will do the same. A common Florida tax dodging tactic, that ends in Condos and shifts the tax burden onto the common people. With the wind blowing around my doors, AFTER they fixed it with cheap vinyl shims, noisy plumbing, terrible water pressure, retaining walls already sagging badly away from buildings (look left while you drive in,) constant turnover of neighbors (LOTS more noisy unfriendly people now than 2016,) and rent higher than a mortgage on a larger home..... Nope. Hard pass. Id rather rent a trailer in Etowah. At least it would be quiet and I wouldnt have to hear daily moving noise from March through July. They did deal with the recycling truck noise at 4am. Thanks for that. Seriously, Im grateful. I also dont have negative feelings about management here. Great people. I just loathe the industry you work for. They are not a positive force in society. They are a predatory industry with a negative impact on the environment and quality of life for the people living around their cancerous development projects. They clear cut, bull doze and destroy everything in their path for profit and nothing more. Ask the people in that nice house behind here how they feel about Evolve. Bet its anything but love.
