Ive liked haircuts Ive gotten here in the past, but when I went today the person who cut my hair was apparently new and didnt really seem to know what she was doing, and she had to ask another barber for help multiple times. To be fair, my hair was a bit messed up from home-haircuts during the pandemic, but I was just getting a pretty standard undercut and it seems like a barber should be able to handle that. In the confusion of having two barbers, they switched the side of my part without really asking and by the time I realized what they were doing I felt too awkward to say anything. I absolutely hate the way my hair looks in its new direction, and it looks kind of weird if I put it back in its original direction because of the way they cut it for the other side. Maybe thats on me for not speaking up during the haircut, but as someone who find haircuts stressful to begin with all I can say is that it definitely wasnt an enjoyable experience

I cut my hair with Jay. He is really down to earth and one of the best barbers in the Hudson Valley hands down thats my opinion. I have read some of the blogs that state this place is a money trap. The prices are listed nothing is concealed. Also if you go to a hair stylist convention look at the prices for top end of the line cutting supplies and you will find them at their stations. Family oriented business great people

A friend of mine, who is undergoing chemo treatment had lost a lot of her hair. At the time it look as if she stuck her finger in a light socket. Her hair was, to put it gently, a mess. We were visiting the Vassar College Bookstore. On the way to the car I noticed a barber shop and said to my friend we should stop in and get your hair cut. You need to get something done. The barber who cut her hair did a wonderful job. She no longer looked like a chemo patient, she looked like a woman who likes to wear her hair short. Thank you to the person who cut her hair. Your humanity was greatly appreciated. The rest of the staff was wonderful too. I think anyone getting their hair cut will appreciate their skills.

Just got my 1st haircut since the Coronavirus outbreak and couldnt be happier. We bought clippers and tried hair trimming at home twice. Not our expertise, but hair does grow back. I always feel good after one of Jays haircuts, but now I really appreciate the look in the mirror. Jay and his staff made me feel very comfortable with the precautions in the shop and the wait was very reasonable. Leave it to the professionals.

All of the barbers are detail oriented and focused on giving the best haircut possible. They are prompt about getting walk ins into a chair. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, talented barber.

Well first off, everyone who works here is an absolute gem. Seriously, everyone is super nice an accommodating to customer needs and thats what really takes the cake here. This place has become the ONLY place that me and my dad go to when getting a haircut. They give excellent haircut for a great price. Very clean and really dont play games with the house music in the background. Love it!

Very good haircut and they are really quick but not sacrificing quality.Price is a little high for a kids haircut.They only take cash so you have to leave and go to ATM up the street.Thats not fun with small kids and its raining ask me I know .They used to have ATM but it was taken out.They have a few barbers so never really a long wait.After further visits here and all the above along with the music thats inappropriate for young children. Its a shame haircuts are very good.

Went into this place with a completely messed up haircut from another barber shop. Jose did an amazing job fixing my hair and turned a horrible cut into a great one. The owner Jay was even kind enough to not charge me for the visit because he understood my situation and how frustrating it can be to get your hair messed up by another barber. Aside from the amazing customer service, the atmosphere is great and very friendly/welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

Haircut was alright. They dont take credit/debit, however...only Venmo and cash...which is very inconvenient for newcomers.

Great haircuts. Ive lived in the City of Poughkeepsie for 16 years and just found this place. Come in, grab a seat (no signing in here) and wait for the next available barber. I got one of my best cuts and they are competitively priced. Dads, bring your kids. Everyone is welcome and they do child cuts as well.

Pino has been cutting my hair since 2013, and every cut has been perfect. Between Pino and Jay, Barber Haus really gets it done. Open 6 days a week and very affordable. Dont hesitate to step in and get cut!

My new favorite place in Arlington/Poughkeepsie. Great place for a trim, style or in my case a bald cut. Kids welcome, family atmosphere. I know that Ill be back sometime soon. Thank you for your service.

Found a place that is owned by the same guy from the spot I knew in the Bronx. Thats whats up. Warm, friendly and welcoming feeling when you walk thru the door. Jay is on point with his craft.

If I could give more than 5 stars I totally would. I went in a little while ago with the worst chop job, given to me by my friend (now forgiven). Jaime sat me down and took care of me, and gave me more than I couldve asked for. Definitely the best cut Ive been given by a barber, by far. Not to mention the chill and friendly atmosphere theyve got going on. Would definitely recommend, hands down!

I have lived my entire life in Poughkeepsie and have been to dozens of different places in Dutchess County and Hudson Valley; this place is by far my favorite. The people are nice, the place is clean, the price is right and best of all cuts are always great. I have since moved about an hour out of the area and refuse to get a cut anywhere else, its worth every minute of the trip. If you haven’t tried this place I recommend you give it a shot.

I moved to dutchess county three years ago from the bronx and have tried numerous barbershops and have never been able to get my cut the way I like it til I found Barberhausny. The vibe you get as soon as you walk in the door really made me feel like home. The cuts are exactly the way I want them. They take pride into their cuts and make sure that their customers are satisfied.My advice to all looking for a barber. Go to the Barberhausny in poughkeepsie..
